I thought that the best fish and chips I've ever had was in Southwold. Today that changed to this place. I'm sad that it's too far to travel regularly.

This is a stunning eat in fish restaurant but unfortunately not dog friendly so with this in mind I asked if they did take out.. Yep they did...had a ten minute wait while our food was freshly cooked. Fish chips and mushy peas.. lovely would deffo recommend and we will be returning

Food absolutely delicious, outstanding gluten free Fish and Chips. Big portions! Dessert just as brilliant as mains. I would fully recommend and would go back if I lived closer!

Pricey at £36 for One of Each twice, (one regular, one small) mushy peas, curry sauce and two teas. Food was great, loos, carpets, radiator, uncomfortable seat, all well below standard for a Restaraunt.

Sadly bad experience Haddock not good Battered and dry fish offered replacement meals only to be similar quality to previous meals.Not a good experience for £,37 bill and no offer of apology offered only passed comment no one else had said anything. Will definitely not be returning ....

Best fish&chips in the area. Love the quality of the fish & the batter is delicious. Not to mention the desserts which are all homemade & to die for.

As a vegetarian, possibly the wrong place to visit. The three other people with me, eat fish so they were okay. Have tried the vegetarian options twice, to day they are grim, does them a favour!!! I had a plain, boring, tasteless salad, squashed onto a tea plate. The carpet is stained, dirty and full of recent food debris.......could have been cleaned away before next customers arrived. Whoever makes the Eton Mess should look up the correct recipe. A very efficient and amusing young man served our table. He was the best part of the visit.

Extensive menu, reasonably priced. Fabulous fish & chips! Friendly staff and efficient service. Would have liked to try one of the gorgeous looking puddings, but were too full after our fish & chips. Another time perhaps....

We had take out. Food was cooked fresh and of good quality. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant with a welcoming atmosphere.

Staff were polite, helpful and cheerful. I'm a vegetarian and was relieved to find that veggies are also catered for. The food was well presented, of good quality and of a generous portion size. I would definitely eat there again.

Group lunch so plenty of space provided for us with great service. Food was lovely and tasty 😋

We turned up , not booked and they were busy but the kind staff found us a free table . Food was great , service spot on .

Known for fish and chips, but we stopped for lunch in the pudding bar. We had scones cake and coffee. The scones and cake were freshly made and delicious. As good a cappuccino as you'll get anywhere. Worth a visit.

Recommended by a good friend, we attended Walkers during a weekend away in the area. I was told that I wouldn't be disappointed with their menu....and we weren't, absolutely delicious fresh fish and chips cooked in beef dripping....Wow. I've certainly missed Yorkshire Fish and Chips! The kids also really enjoyed the home made desserts. Highly recommended

We had home made toasted teacakes the worst I've ever tasted. I left mine, my friend wrapped hers up in a napking to throw away. What I had us sat in my stomach like a lump of lead. Sorry won't be goi g back

Great independent business. Fish and chips are superb. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Also do cakes and snacks if you don't want a full meal. If you're anywhere near this place call in, you won't be disappointed.

Great service from staff and the food was excellent had prawn and crayfish cocktail followed by a small cod chips and mushy peas.

Nicely prepared food and very accommodating staff. The cafeteria side is well worth visiting during the day if you fancy a snack. The mixed salad is fresh and varied and sandwiches are always good.

I was pleased to find plaice on the menu as it is not readily available nowadays. We both had a good meal and the desserts were lovely and with custard !

Lovely place to stop for cake and coffee. Or go all out and enjoy beautiful fish and chips. If you are not a fish and chip kinda guy, there is an extensive menu! Puddings are to die for!

What a great find, we stumbled across this marvellous fish restaurant, Saturday lunchtime. We had Haddock, chips and mushy peas, it was delicious. The fish was some of the best, I've ever eaten. The staff helpful and friendly, the restaurant was light and airy. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We ate here last night as part of our trip to Yorkshire and we were not disappointed. We both had a small fish and chips with a side order of garden peas and they were absolutely delicious. The batter was so light and really tasty and fish cooked perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very good value as well.

We went here for my Aunt's 80th. They let us store a home made cake in their kitchen and, without being asked, brought it out with candles on. Really great service. Been there a couple of times otherwise and the food has always been good.

Excellent cod and chips, the regular size leaves space for a sweet! Fast and friendly service. I would guess they get busy although it's bigger inside than it appears driving past.

Called in out of the blue and wasn't busy. Had the small fish and chips this time but could have eaten a little more. Regular is just too much so need an inbetweener. Didn't have room for dessert but look delicious. A coffee shop visit may be needed instead.

We went in on a Tuesday afternoon so it was a little quiet hence the rating for atmosphere. The food was great, traditional fish (I had cod but there were several other sustainable fish varieties) and chips with mushy peas. All great, not greasy where you can feel it running out of your pores 20 minutes later but crispy and delicious. The pudding choice is worth going for on its own

What a charming surprise, from outside it looks tiny, but once inside......wow, it's like a tardis. Welcoming staff, warm atmosphere, great menu and fair prices. I would highly recommend.

Second visit this year - so far. As usual great service and amazing food. Started with the scampi lovely light batter and good size portion. Then opted for the haddock chips and mushy peas again beautifully cooked and delicious. Finally managed a pudding of lemon pavlova - stuffed. Enjoyed every mouthful but won't lie couldn't move afterwards every course was delicious. Quick friendly service - lovely clean restaurant brilliant delicious food. Highly recommend AND they serve Pepsi (my favourite)

Great fresh fish, and lightly battered (if you’re having the fish and chips option). Plenty of other fish dishes available and on the menu of the day. Puddings are a very good size and you won’t go home hungry! Plenty of free parking and friendly staff.

i recently visited walkers fish and chip restaurant with my son daughter and her fiance in the past we have eaten at the resturant many times and have always been very pleased with the food and service only on this recent visit i was dissapointed with the vast increase of prices on not just the fish but also the price of the desserts £6.95 seems extravagant i had the bakewell tart and when it arrive it was a slab of cake no cream or any offer of ice cream unfortunately i left it as it was very dry .also the chips were black and looked like they had sat for a while.i should have complained there and then but it was my daughter engagement and i didnt want to upset my family.im afraid i wont be coming again which saddens me as we use to rave about walkers but not anymore.

Great value for money with 3 size options, down side was your peas/ curry sauce was extra. Very friendly and helpful staff would definitely recommend.

Great fish n chip restaurant, excellent varied menu. Plenty of indoor seating . A little pricy but the quality of food is excellent.

Fantastic place. Clean. Spacious and very cheerful staff. It wss a full house and yet service was quick. Had the most delicious seafood salad from the special board. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Fish (and mostly chip) restaurant with much more on the menu than you might expect. The best thing about this place is the staff, helpful thoughtful and efficient! We were a big family group ages ranging from one year and up to great grandparents. They looked after us all. My haddock was excellent but looking at the gammon next to me I'm not sure I made the right choice. Then the Scampi - it looked really good. This may not help anyone decide what to have, but gives me good reasons to go back and try some more. Thanks for a great meal.

Sat outside in the sunshine. Service was 2nd to none with a smile. Scones were tasty and soft, coffees good too.

The food was amazing! Had the spicy crab cakes, they were huge! Really tasty and fresh. Then got medium cod, should have got a small, again huge portion! Definitely can't complain. Finished off with baileys trifle!! The only course I finished was the crab cakes!! Staff really helpful and cheery. This was our second visit, will definitely return.

Great food at Walkers. Love their fish and chips. Really nice crispy batter on the fish as you would expect and fab chips too. There is a great range desserts too.You won't be disappointed.
