Walkabout Brighton in Brighton and Hove

The guy selling aftershave in the toilets takes photos of you while you are in the cubicle. The bar did not take this seriously when I raised this. Security said they were allowed to do this! Which is very wrong….

Our meal order was denied by one lady from the staff due to "too many orders" to be delivered to other guests. But all of her colleagues were accepting meal orders - strange. As it was our turn, no more fries were available. But instead of reducing the price or offering alternitaves, the regular price has been charged - is that the way to treat your guests? Additionally, two of the beers have been given in some kind of plastic glasses to us without a comment - why? And: we were watching a soccer match, and without talking to us in advance, channels on the screens have been changed. Would have been better to talk to the customer in advance with a request to change the seat - again no excuse. Very bad experience and unfortunately some (not all) impolite staff!

I am disappointed with this bar. After asking by email and then to the waiters three times to broadcast the NFL, I was always told that no problem but it was not done despite our 2 hours spent in this bar. The food is satisfactory, as is the beer, but the service is long and the order is random depending on preferences. In the end, everything seemed ok for a very good experience but it ended in disappointment. We never got to see our match.

We arrived for a bottomless brunch at Walkabout on Saturday, and the experience started off a bit rocky. Upon arrival, there was a lack of communication, and after being seated for about 15 minutes with no one attending to us, we were left feeling quite disappointed. However, that all changed when I approached the bar and met Kieran. I explained the situation and how underwhelming things had been so far. Kieran immediately took charge—he asked for our first drink orders and promised to come over and explain everything with them. From that point on, what was shaping up to be a negative experience completely turned around. Kieran’s customer service was truly exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure our brunch was memorable. Kieran is a credit to Walkabout, and I can’t thank him enough for turning what could’ve been a frustrating experience into a fantastic one. Thanks to Kieran, we had a great brunch!

Venue is great with TVs and the food is fine but if you are a woman and use the toilet at all, then try to plan around not being able to go here. Out of maybe 10 stalls in the women's loos 2 had toilet paper and 2 others actually locked. The entire night there was no loo roll replenishing and the stalls with broken locks clearly had been like that for a long time. Obviously the couple stalls that were useable stunk and were filthy, with no where to put bags down. Hate to bring a good venue down due to its facilities but if you are out at a bar then it kills the mood when you know you can't use a loo if you need to

Nice place to watch sport. Order food but it came out cold

Plastic glasses. Not for me, paying over £7 a pint I want a proper pint in a glass. Lots of door personnel for a very quiet night, there was hardly anyone in and it felt like they were preparing for trouble that wasn’t happening? A guy in my party, on a business trip came with us and was asked for ID and patted down, he was over 60 years old, sober, smartly dressed after finishing work. Very strange to be asked for ID.

I cant comment on the food as i did not eat. Tv's everywhere, big open spaces & clean. Friendly staff and fast service.

We went there with our friends for watch a football match, the queue for drinks was so long and undisciplined and the clerks were choosing among the customers arbitrary to get their order. At the end of the day I was standing 25 minutes of the match for just ordering. Didn't enjoy at all

Walkabout Brighton is a nice joint for a quick drink and some food I suppose. The floor is really sticky if anyone bother to wash it it would be way more "walkable".... 🙄

Cozy bar for sports lovers. It gives you a stadium vibe.

Didn't try the food but the menu looked great, lots of options. This is a great spot to watch the sport. There are so many screens around the place and good comfy seats. You're guaranteed to get a good table in front of one of the many screens. Good variety of pints and decent prices. The lady behind the bar on Saturday and Sunday (didn't catch her name) was a really nice girl. The place is dog friendly too and even with the sport on it still had a very nice and calm atmosphere so a great place to go.

Great place to go for food, sport and of course a great night out, from hen/stag parties to birthday parties, great food, they always have the sports available at walkabout and you will always have a great time, all the staff get on and help each other out and the atmosphere is always great. Leah and Harri pull together as management to make this venue a great place to visit in Brighton!

Toilets were disgusting and feet stuck to floor.

Came in on a quiet eve to host Leeds game MOT. class bar staff and made bday special.

Staff working were very good but clearly couldn’t manage the demand. Had to wait over 20 minutes to get a drink, they clearly need more staff on shift especially when there’s a big game on and it’s very clear management are trying to cut costs at the expense of proper service. Will not be coming again.

When you go to a walkabout you know what you're going to get. We mainly go to watch live sports, drinks are cheap, atmosphere was good, staff were friendly

I was surprised to go somewhere and be served a glass of wine 🍷 on a Saturday afternoon in a plastic glass.. It rather takes it away but then I should have maybe realised as Security on the door.. Maybe they were expecting a raucous crowd in to watch the rugby 🏉..

Beautiful stonegate pup, loved the affordable drinks and incredibly attentive staff (especially the messy brown haired guy). Would love to go again, just confused that it was closed at 5pm ish on a wednesday

Surprisingly nice friendly sports oriented super size pub. Not been to one for decades, todays visit for a few beers while watching the footie was far better than I imagined might be.

Come here to watch Brighton game, more security than punters, dryers off in loo so of course we had a guy offering a towel for a suggested tip ( what a con) asked for food ( kitchen closed ) Not sure how to review but you all make your own minds up!! Can't wait for game to finish so I can go get some food ;( Great bar shame about the way it's run!! When they do food its good !

What anaweskme, funky place. Huge,inviting, amazing sports bar! Very inviting, Very friendly, TV screens everywhere, various seating areas which is awesome in its own way as each area is unique with funky loving sections, some sofas, 2 bars, pool table Cool decor This place is such a cool , sports bat The sweet potatoes fries and onion rings are banging too This place Is a must visit, especially sports fans and student groups Awesome Clean, fun , friendly Good prices, good selection of drink Limited food choice but good enough burgers and sides to have a drink and watch sport What more could you ask for Recommended by us

Very quiet on Sunday evenings. Good selection of sport and screens. Prices cheaper than Revolution next door and they don't need to scan your ID on a database (Revolution do this for EVERYONE after 10pm, even if you're nearly 40) 😂

It was a good experience to be there on a weekday. And what I felt is you'll enjoy it here if you're with groups.

Nice atmosphere, cozy place. A nice service overall ...packed with people non stop ...that I believe is standard for Brithon and surrounding areas ....it s worth visiting so trying the food they serve.

Me and my boyfriend came in on Friday and was served by Kia (like the car)... she was very happy to help an indecisive gal like myself, pick what food to have 🤗 Her hospitality was like no other, she chatted away to me, upselling some smashing drinks and giving us some recommendations on where to go next (as it was our first time in Brighton). The music was on point (mix between classic walkabout and pop world) and the place was spotless! Thanks for a great visit!

Alicia is the best bar tender in walk about she made me feel really comfortable ordering a drink and she Is a very lovely girl

Told we were gonna have to wait over an hour for food and then told that most of the beer we wanted to drink wasn’t available. If it hadn’t been for the cricket being shown we’d have left right there and then.

Went in expecting kangaroo's and instead got old pop music, turns out walkabout is a Popworld which is not clear, and to make it worse we were charged an entry fee for the 10 minutes privilege.

Good food and reasonable worth a visit

Honestly, I was very surprised with this burger and fries! It was absolutely delicious! We had the Korean BBQ chicken burger, and I must say it was huge, tasty, and so filling. Was not expecting the taste and portion size, will be going back for that again!

Overall fine - what you expect for a sport bar, nothing special but somewhere to watch the sport, lots of TV screens. Can't comment on food as didn't eat.

2 members of staff serving on a bank holiday ,long cues .Food never came ..had to cue to get a refund for nearly 15 mins !!! When asked about food got told we are busy …

Really good bottomless brunch at walkabouts for a mates birthday. Lucas our server was class and went the extra mile to make sure we had a good time.

Amazing club! Love the free inflatable giveaway at midnight! What great fun! That staff are lovely and very attentive! Get to walkabout/popworld it’s the place to be in Brighton!!

Had a great time with a whole bunch of us who were visiting for the weekend. They were handing out all these one-time use items like light up foam bars, and vizors! Cant help but think what a waste! Otherwise we had a blast and had a really good singalong to some of the old school favourites!

Fun night out with friends. Staff were great. The bar tenders Alicia and Armani were very friendly and helpful.

Ordered loaded fries for lunch. Took 50 minutes to arrive at the table. I asked where they were after 20 minutes and was told it would be another 10 minutes. I checked again after another 20 minutes and was told they're pretty much done. It still took over 10 more minutes I asked what the hold up was and i was told there was a back log in the kitchen. There was about 40 people in the place and only 2 tables had food, and it was only chips. The staff were quite ignorant about it when i asked about the hold up. The girl who served the food was quite apologetic and friendly to be fair. Then to rub it in, the food was really poor. The place was dirty, the tables were sticky. Awful place overall

Nice environment with a good atmosphere. But first barmaids in main room really looked like they didn’t want to be there and were on a constant go slow But when we went into another room the barmaids were always smiling and very cheerful and always happy to help so to Tally and Millie thank you for making our night and making us feel so welcome

Ottimo cibo ed ottima birra. Siamo andati a cena sapendo che avrebbero trasmesso l’Europa Ligue e c’erano tantissimi schermo che trasmettevano più di 4/5 partite contemporaneamente. Semmai ricapitasse sarei contento di tornarci. Inoltre nel dopo cena c’è il Dj che mette musica quindi si può passare davvero del tempo ottimo.

No chicken or garlic bread on the menu . No napkins was given blue toilet paper to eat ribs with! I was given 2 hot glasses with my cocktail jug, no straws on site or cocktail stirrers?????? Run down place for sure , only 2 bar staff working ! Table never got cleared of the rubbish food served up

I visited during the day. They had the football on which was great. The service was a bit slow, they didn't seem to have enough people serving. We had some food from the very limited menu. I had a burger which was Ok, but not great. Overall we had an ok time.

The venue is great for sports and for a club night both of which I have experienced here. Great drinks deals, enthusiastic and helpful staff and generally good vibes.

Food well what can I saw...ordered chips with naga sauce...took half hour to get our order chip cold n dry. Not recommended.

vibes were so good, friendly staff. Served by two lovely ladies Amani and Alicia! They were so chatty and the drinks were so good!!

Despite booking in for open time, was left waiting outside until 12:20 as staff were still setting up and doors shut. No Australia day items in sight despite the website saying the celebration was across 2 weeks. Staff miserable and depressing. Food wasn't bad.

Love this place, amazing vibe, great drinks deals and lovely staff. I want to mention Amani and Alicia specifically as they told me about Walkabout so started bringing Sussex Women's Basketball team here every Wednesday for socials and were so amazing whilst we were there! :)
