Wah Fu in Belfast

Three of us had 2 courses all 3 of us ordered different meals all 3 of us left the meal chips and chicken over cooked chicken curry bland no taste except for the chicken was off if possible avoid

My husband and I love eating here! Returned last week again for our first visit back after lockdown and both thoroughly enjoyed our 2 course meal from start to finish. Their salted chilli chicken wings starter are a favourite of mine which I order each and every time I visit, without fail. Food is always great, attentive staff and always get good service. Highly recommend the seafood hotpot which is another favourite of ours. Hoping to get back again sooner rather than later.

We visited Wah Fu (Mandarin Palace) Finaghy on a Wednesday night early. The place had changed decor 5 or 6 years ago and could do with being redecorated. We found it to be physically cold as well as looking cold. The food and service was good. Lovely but expensive Wan Tun soup was served in a small bowl. Beef Curry was nice enough but again expensive and as usual drinks are a complete rip off. So all in all I doubt I'll be back. Nice food good service overpriced and cold drab environment.

This has been my families preferred Chinese Restaurant in the area from I was no age. Birthdays, before concerts, routine Saturday night take away or if one of us needs cheered up.. this place is our go to. Its also within walking distance from us so a bottle of wine had and walk those calories off home. The service has always been been friendly and we haven't had any issue to date. Handy, good food, good drink, good service. 👍

I went in for a lunch with a friend and we arrived for 12.45pm. My friend ordered from the main menu. I ordered the 3 course lunch. There was only one waitress and a grumpy man sitting in the counter which I now know is named ‘Kevin’ He had no pleasantries at all. I had my starter then our main meals arrived at almost 1.40pm. He told the waitress to tell us whilst I started eating my meal that we have to be out for 2pm. I was shocked and she said that we can box out food to take away. I didn’t even get to eat my dessert which was included. I was also charged £3 for a pot of tea which I did not order. The crockery were badly scratched and in dire need of replacement!! I simply asked for a box as I was so disgusted with the service and cannot eat boiling hot chips and food at the time allowed by Kevin. No apologies at all. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

We eat here regularly and have not been disappointed yet. The food is tasty and fresh, good portions. They do tea time meal deal... think its £12ish for a 3 course dinner...

Had read reviews of this restaurant and was looking forward to enjoying the food. Was so disappointed as little choice though can order more food if required would.t go bac. Staff were lovely though.

Went here for a family meal while my sister was home from Australia. Upon entering the restaurant I noticed the 2/5 rating for Food Hygiene and was immediately concerned. I asked the lady who greeted us to clarify why it was so bad, she didn't seem to understand me and got another staff member to speak to me. This lady advised that the place is fine and the food is fine, it's 'just the paperwork wasn't correct' at the time of inspection. I find that hard to believe, but didn't want to cause a scene with my family so continued to stay. Food was ok, however service needs to be improved - they take plates from the table the second they see you stop eating, even while other guests are still eating. My cousins plate was taken that fast I didn't even notice - like a sniper. I felt uneasy the whole time and honestly don't think I'll be back. There's a lot more nicer restaurants in Belfast to choose from.

Foods great but they always take there phone of the hook on a regular basis I don’t know why it’s really aggravating

Got a takeaway out of here for a change and will not be back. Totally tasteless. 👎🏽 would not recommend

Went here for a family meal. Relaxed and bright restaurant with a wide menu and good specials. The early bird menu was very good value. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff pleasant and helpful. They have a great take out menu too.

If you want a nice chinese meal then you won’t be disappointed coming here. Their salted chilli chicken wings starter are a favourite of mine. Service is always fine each time I visit.

I have been ordering takeaway from wahfu for a few years now and the last 3 or 4 times it has been getting worse.I defo will not be ordering from here again chair su fr was full of greese and the salt and chilli beef was cremated.

I’m not saying that this is the best Chinese I have ever had, but I think it was pretty good for where it is. Key is the fact that there was no MSG thirst afterwards which is the sign of good quality in my view. The salt and chilli prawns are excellent, the curry is really good and the stirfrys I have had have been really fresh. I’d recommend this place for a good weekend Chinese. They are also understanding when it comes to gluten free diners, adopting where they can, though starters apart from soups are a no go for coeliacs which is the one thing they could change to get a perfect score.

Arrived about 6.30 with family for dinner Excellent service and very clean and tidy restaurant Wide choice of dishes and all were fantastic

Llegué justo antes de las 7 pm y me ofrecieron un té con menús a la carta. Menú de té fue una buena relación calidad-precio a los 12. 50 para la comida de 3 platos. Por 2 extra 50 también podrías agregar sopa. .

The free prawn crackers were old, cold and greasy BUT the four main courses we ordered were fantastic. This is good old Western style Chinese food at its best.

Mi esposo colocó un pedido telefónico para la recolección, al hacer el pedido, el personal del restaurante le repitió la orden con todos los artículos enumerados correctamente. Luego esperó una hora en la orden. Cuando recibimos el pedido a casa, faltaban artículos y artículos incorrectos. Cuando llamé a Wah fu y le expliqué esto, el miembro del personal me pidió que enumerara los artículos que tenía y luego me preguntó cuál era el problema, así que luego volví a explicar. Luego me pasaron a otro miembro del personal que me preguntó una vez más sobre lo que faltaba y lo que estaba mal. Mientras hablaba con este miembro del personal pude escuchar a un miembro masculino del personal diciendo "dígale que cuente sus cartones" "no está mal" "¿cuál es el problema?" El segundo miembro del personal me pasó a un tercero (siendo esta la voz masculina en el fondo) luego procedió a preguntarme cómo el orden era incorrecto. En este punto ya había tenido suficiente de explicarme así que le dije al miembro del personal que estaba devolviendo el pedido y quería que me devolvieran mi dinero. Él respondió con "esa bien, haz eso" "Te dije que te hice otro. "

Deff not be back - esperó 90 minutos para ser atendido - le pregunté al miembro pocas veces y dijo que no tardaría - la camarera china fue grosera y desagradable - simplemente no es BUENA SUFICIENTE DE VALOR - arruinó los planes para el resto de la noche - SYAY AWAY

Ok so i understand everywere is busy and stuff but 2 hours like WDF!!! Why when you ring do they not tell you its busy at least then you know. Ordered at 20:20 and it arrived just before 22:30 freezing cold and rotten! Only thing nice about it is the prawn crackers!

Usted puede elegir la opción de dos o tres platos de alrededor de £12 a £15. Todos disfrutamos de nuestras comidas y eran atendidos por personal amable y eficiente. Dispuestos a recomendar el Wah Fu a cualquiera.

Llamamos a las 7. 30:00 en domingo por la noche. El personal nos dio la bienvenida y nos acompañó a nuestra sede.

Buena comida y buen servicio. Siempre un favorito. Comida caliente con el tamaño de las porciones. A un precio razonable y una ubicación muy conveniente. Aparcamiento limitado. La única crítica es que, en las horas punta es muy ruidoso que lleva lejos de la parte relajante de comer fuera. Si te quedas sentado en la parte trasera también tendrá mucha actividad de cocina en torno a ti. Los inodoros necesidad refrescante. Popular para llevar y pedidos telefónicos.

Visitamos con la familia y el personal muy atento, si no el más amable, con la típica selección de comida china de precio fijo o menús a la carta. Vino y Comida los precios eran razonables y un entorno agradable.

Iv estado varias veces el llevar buen clasificaría inferior, pero el comedor es más agradable, pero me pareció que era un poco caro

La calidad de la comida es bastante buena y el personal es siempre muy atento. estándar s libre hay mucho que desear y que podrían beneficiarse de una re-vamp de sus estándares. El pato es siempre un ganador!

Ahora es el momento de 2 nd he estado aquí recientemente y estoy bastante decepcionado. Esta vez mi compañero y llamé para un llevar. El lugar es muy bonito por dentro y tengo que admitir que la comida ha sido mejor que la media anterior. Hicimos un pedido muy simple sin complicaciones y cuando llegó la señora leído para nosotros pensando todo era allí que nos fuimos. Viajó a la casa de 2 millas sólo para descubrir que una gran porción de la orden que faltaba. Así que llamé a punto, después de algunas muy confusas y vuelta me pidió que venga a recoger la parte que falta. ¿Por qué? ? ? ? ? No fue mi error de nuevo más de ida y vuelta y finalmente me dijeron que será entregado. Por lo que volver a mi cena que me pareció estaba helada! Así microondas y la comida era no gusto demasiado mal, aparte de bits faltar siendo originalmente helada. Como estoy escribiendo esto 45 minutos más tarde llegó mi otra parte! Hallelujah! La última vez que utilizamos este lugar tardó 2. 5 horas para entregar incluso después de repetidas llamadas y sinsentido completo en el teléfono. Así engañarme una vez pena por ti engañarme dos veces lástima por mí. . . . . . Nunca más me voy a este lugar y si no espero que tengas mejor suerte que yo.

China realmente razonable. Chow mien cocinados a la orden. Precioso, el personal es amable. Llamaría si pasando

We often order a delivery, last night we ordered as usual OMG the poor girl didn't speak very much English . I know it's a Chinese restaurant but at least have the person answering the phones be able to speak the native tongue when it came once again it wasn't good. My wife and I have vowed this is the last time we will be ordering from here Sorry we have been eating here for a number of years but lately it has went down hill perhaps they've just decided they are established and don't need to keep standards up ??

For a inexpensive but good taste I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and if you want value for money on a tight budget.

Got take a away from here, was fast and friendly and the food was great. Portions are large and the atmosphere in the restaurant seemed relaxed.

Not sure what opening times are for Wah Fu, few times we visited mid week we found it closed. We defo got it open on a friday, and the food was excellent. I asked for a mixed grill which isn't on the menu, and a gorgeous meal was brought to the table. Steak, bacon, sausage, chop, chips, peas, and the most delicious gravy. Try the mixed grill, you will be like me, returning again and again and again and ......getting hungry writing this, Wah Fu for you whooooo.....:)

Had a lovely meal here. We ordered the set meal for 2 and when it came it would have been enough for 4 people it was delicious even though we couldn't finish it . Very good prices and lovely staff.

Amazing food which is worth waiting for and paying a slightly higher price than surrounding chineses. The chicken fried rice is delicious

Had a fabulous meal, good service great early bird menu 3 courses for £11.50...will definitely return soon.My son had the chicken skewers starter as a main meal they were massive portion for a starter, I had the curry it was the nicest I've had in a long time. The food was so good I ordered a delivery the next night and it was just as nice. Think I'll be a regular at this restaurant.

Has to be the best Chinese restaurant in the belfast area,staff brillant and the food to die for,never disappointed when we go here,a large menu and also caters for vegetarian s ,have to give it a ten out of ten

I ate from the lunchtime special menu which as to be expected was somewhat limited. Most of the choices were chicken though I did eat one of the two beef choices available.Staff were friendly and attentive.All in all fine for what I was looking for.

We have been for many meals here over the years without any problem. We ordered a takeaway expressing a wish for chicken breast. This meal was definitely not breast but bits of thigh and I would say wing meat. It was covered with curry so bard to tell. When we have had breast meat before it is usually in chunks but this meat was torn up. Also the chicken was burned in places. They have definitely lost our custom. I hate being scammed.

Visited as a group of five and we tried a variety of items from the £11.50 three course early bird menu. Dishes were all of a decent standard, some were very tasty (the noodles and kung po chicken spring to mind). Service was friendly and efficient, drinks were reasonably priced. All in all, an enjoyable meal and we would happily return.

We called in around tea time, the restaurant wasn't overly busy but was ticking over, the carryout service seemed popular. We chose the 3 course early bird special at £10.50. Food was delicious and portions just about right, if any criticism at all, the restaurant could be a little bit warmer.

We were recommended this place so we gave it a try one friday evening. I got the salted chilli chicken wings to start, which came out in quite a big portion. My partner got the spring rolls and seemed to enjoy them.For mains, we got the special satay and the special curry. It was an enjoyable meal for us both. Staff were very attentive.We would happily go again sometime.

This restaurant was really busy as we visited on February 13 th but the table we had reserved was ready. The menu is fairly extensive with the usual range of Chinese options but some nice chef's suggestions. We were both delighted with our starters- the salt and chilli squid was beautiful and a huge portion! The main courses were also delicious and the accompanying rice portion enough for two. Definitely a restaurant worth retuning too for value and quality.

The food is fantastic here and the staff are so welcoming. Great for larger parties even though it is a small venue. Will definitely return for another family outing.

Just writing to let you know of this hidden gem in Belfast.The food is first class but it's the staff who really make the place.Each one is attentive and they make your visit truly special.They give you just enough space to enjoy your food, which is absolutely brilliant.They always greet you and say goodbye with a smile and you know it's not fake.To the management I say thank you for the food and to the staff I say really big thank you for making our visit special.Thanks againStephen & kerry

Has to be the best Chinese resturant in belfast ,the food is exceptional and the menu is vast ,the girls who serve are brillant and nothing is a problem,this is not a very expensive place to eat and there beers and wines are realistically priced ,you will not be disappointed if you go here for a night.

I've been to this restaurant for many occasions and it is a brilliant restaurant! I keep going back and the food is delicious! The staff were courteous, patient and nice the whole stay. Never felt like we were being forced to our seats or forced out upon leaving. Would highly recommend!

Terrible food last night inedible four meals basrely touched shredded beef so tough could not eat . We went in hungry and came out hungry ant £75 pound lighter . Never again..

-Asked for a baby portion of soft noodles-Charged £5 for a 18month old as they only serve "childrens portions" which was way too much food for a baby.-Told to "hold on" as I tried to get the attention of the staff.-Knife & fork thrown down in front of me to the side of my plate instead of being set eitherside.Don't know if this is typical behaviour of the staff or if they simply didn't like the look of me lol. Either way, they couldn't break a smile to a baby waving to them so pretty miserable bunch!

Thee nicest chinese food you will find anywhere in Belfast, i also order takeaways from Wah Fu and they never disappoint! The beef satay is something else, it clears up my hangover on a saturday :)

I recently purchased a takeaway and, although this is usually a humble request, it often disappoints but Wah Fu did it exactly as hoped.

Fantastic restaurant good food and great service,there's always a smile and a great menu to chose from ,wine and beers are not overpriced so it's not going to cost you a fortune

This is a regular restaurant that we go to as a family. Food was beautifully prepared and simply delicious as always. Filet steak to die for and Singapore Chow Mein certainly tickled the taste buds. Can't recommend highly enough! Staff were very friendly and professional.

no English speaking person to take order, wrong order, overpriced - 16.80 for 2 meals found a 4 cm piece of wood in one meal and a strand of plastic pink bag in the other. emailed to complain, no reply. no point phoning. learn from my mistakes. ended up chucking the meal in the bin.

I would order from here quite lot as the food is lovely but the service is awful. I would expect delivery time for any take away to be around half an hour but with wah fu you can expect to wait upto two hours. The past two occasions I have ordered, the person on the phone has got my order wrong so I have to phone and get it sent out again. These problems could be avoided if they put someone on the phone who understood fluent English.

We eat on Wah fu on a regular basis but have never done a review. This is definitely the best Chinese in Belfast. Food is consistently good & very reasonable. 3 course lunch for £6.50 & midweek early bird for £ 10.50! Very tasty always & great staff. Well worth visit.

Just left Wah Fu & cant believe it was r 1st time there wen we've lived in the area 4 so long absolutely fab gr8 staff extremely friendly , helpful & very attentive lovely decor & atmosphere. Food was beautiful and service was exceptional family of 4 all had 3 courses few cokes , beers & bottle of wine all 4 under £70 cant beat that 4 value 4 money defo b bac cant wait thx 4 a lovely evening Wah Fu xx

Been to this restaurant several times. I have always received great food at a very reasonable price. The staff have always been very friendly. Only criticism is when I order a take away from here, it is never ready on time

My wife & I eat here pretty regularly it's always good and we recommend to all our friends now they are going too even their £21 carry out for two is great

Wah Fu is best avoided if the experience I had tonight is par for the course. Special Chow Mien had fatty largely inedible bits of meat in it and was covered in a thick unpleasant sauce. Expensive as well - much as I love chilli prawns I won't be paying £6.50 for a starter portion of them. The chow mien was £11 - also over priced for the area.

I have been going to wa fu for years now, and they do an excellent business mans lunch, three courses for £ 6.50. The staff are always very helpful and polite, I would really recommend Wa Fu its a very welcoming place.
