Wagamamas in Leicester

Absolutely terrible experience. We had to wait ages to get seated, there was no staff, took forever to get served, took forever for the first set of drinks to come to us followed by over a 45 minute wait on the food to be served to us, and even worse the food was stone cold ! Had to find a waiter to tell him this and he took our plates and gave us another meal another 45 minutes later which was not much warmer than the last. To top it off the Katsu curry sauce was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I love spicy food but I think that day the chef must have been on speed and must have put double the amount of chillies in it ! I begged for water and asked 3 times for it but no one was available to get me any as there was no staff available. I just wanted to get out of there. Couldn't even flag down a waiter to pay the bill. The food was expensive and we were not offered any compliments of any kind considering the service we received. I would never ever eat here again. Wagama sort your staff out or close it altogether if you're that short ! Don't let customers suffer like we had to. Absolutely disgusting !

We was looking forward to a Wagamamas we haven’t had one before. Seriously disappointing. Will never return my broth was pure water with a kick. My wifes was lukewarm . Overall service and food both poor would never come again. I have a fish allergy my wife received her food a good 4+ minutes before me . The point was to eat together.

Me and my friend came in for something to eat before shopping and we were served by Celeste. She was so lovely and friendly and made the whole trip worth it. 10/10

Thought the food was very good and the service excellent from Chris. The only downside is the unisex toilets which were not in a good state as used by the deliveroo / Uber eats delivery riders congregating outside and using the side door. If I was the manager I would label one of the toilets for their use only!!! Off putting

Our server Chris was friendly, attentive and just overall absolutely brilliant - Despite a very busy restaurant. He gave us 5 star service. Was very apologetic when our first and second choice of one dessert was not available and so spoke to management and we got a free ice-cream. Food was delicious as always.

5 Stars for our waiter for the evening Casper. What a fantastic waiter with an unmatched charisma. Anything we needed, he was more than happy to assist with, at great pace as well, really adds to your evening when you feel appreciated by your server, so I want him and manager’s of this restaurant to know that we appreciated him. A delay on one of the meals is why this review is 4 Stars but Casper did all he could to help resolve this.

Me and my bestie boop came for some wagas scran with side of gossip and Elizabeth couldn’t be more accommodating. Making sure we had everything we wanted and still had drinks etc. Very smiley too!!!!

The food as always was delicious but fantastic service from Chris who was quick to spot and resolve that our meals hadn’t been put ordered. Thanks for making our night so pleasant.

I have been to Wagamamas in the UK and Australia many times, so I was thrilled to find Wagamamas in Leicester, UK, very close to where I was staying. I chose to eat early, because I know how busy this restaurant usually is. As soon as my eyes lit upon the photo of the Chicken Raisukaree I was hooked. From the first mouthful, it certainly lived up to its name. It was absolutely delicious! It was so delicious that I had to go back for more during my two week stay. Every meal in Wagamamas is absolutely delicious.

Excellent food and great service from all the team as usual. We have been on numerous occasions and have been served by Charmaine a few times. A lovely chatty young woman who always serves with a smile. Love coming here

Not good at all. When heading into the restaurant we were straight in and sat down at it didn’t appear too busy. We sat scrolling through the menus and decided very quick as every other wagamamas we go to, we are served within 5 minutes! We waited for 30 minutes and big groups of people had ordered, received their drinks and mains… After 40 minutes I decided to ask our server Micheal if he was serving us and he said 2 minutes. 5 minutes later he turned up after groups of people had paid and left!!! He then said that he’s sorry but he should have served someone before us in the first place but he came over because we called him over!! This is incredibly impolite and just making excuses for being slow when he was running circles round everyone else but us! He finally taken our order and we complained about service and he offered us a slice of cake which we kindly declined as we had a train to catch, we asked for drinks off and he said he would see about that. Mains arrived within 5 minutes, things appeared to be getting better… I then finished my drink and mains waiting for my side to arrive. Both of us had finished (20 minutes later after the mains arrived) so we felt so horrible but we had to complain again, and ask if we could cancel the side. Speaking to the kitchen they had simply forgot our order! Unbelievable: the manager tried to help us out by giving us my side for free and then knocked the drinks off. It then finished and it was placed in a take away box for us. We paid and left. Happy to say we will never make a return!! For a restaurant 50% full this was shocking, lazy staff and making excuses.
