Wagamama in Aberdeen City

Decided to wait in the queue and couldn’t be happier: 5 of us ( 2 couples-one of us in a wheelchair- & a single friend) were super well taken care of! Katrina went all the extra mile reassuring we were being taken care and updating us on timing, table setting up and welcoming us into !! God bless you all as this happened on a super busy Friday evening!!! Food superb, not forgetting the friendliness from Samas & our waiter Richard!! A huge thank you ! Hope we’ll return, highly recommended!!!

Today I came too Wagamama in Aberdeen. With my friends plus me in a wheelchair. Was made welcome & helped through the door by an amazing lady Katrina. Then welcomed too our table by Simas & Richard was our service. Let’s just say amazing staff, friendly & extremely helpful.

You always go through phases where you fancy something different to eat, Wagamama's is the place to go, with a great menu full of the favourites but myself & my girlfriend had the Chicken Katsu - one with rice & the other with noodles... definietly a favourite here! the restaurant is great, well spaced out following guidlines, staff are willing to go the extra mile being so funny and friendly. We also had the Chicken Skewers as a starter to which were fantastic, definietly made me wanting more! food was served in no time at all being fully booked & busy which is great, the Katsu came out roasting and made delicious meal before the cinema. Definietly a must visit place in Aberdeen!

We loved Wagamama but in the past couple of years the food and menu isn’t as good as it used to be. There are a lot less authentic dishes on the menu and it seems to definitely feel like more of a chain restaurant rather than a good meal out. The staff are always so friendly though!

Simas was an angel. 😇 We will miss him. Super Intelligent Magical Absolutely Magnificant Spiffing/suave Great service, great food, very minimal wait!

Went in because we had never eaten here before. What a lovely experience. From being greeted till leaving the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and the service was great- a bit out of my comfort zone as food arrives when it is ready rather than all starters together and all mains S was explained though so it was fine. We also didn’t know what to have and our server, Georgia, was happy to take part of our order and popped back for the rest when we were ready.

The food was excellent, loved all of it. The servers were really friendly. Always get a great meal here. Can’t fault the place!

Me and my sister we went for lunch to Wagamama after shopping. We had table 451 and we had very nice lunch and very enjoyable time. Our waiter Ignacio from Spain :) was very polite, helpful, professional and very friendly. There should be more people like him. And the food was also fabulous! We will definitely be back and I hope he will be there :) very happy with his service.

Friendly helpful staff, manageable serving size, very very tasty starter & main course, at competitive price. All in all will look out for the name ‘Wagamama’ during my travels & my own home city

Normally really enjoy a Wagamama. Have had it in many countries and it’s consistently decent. Tonight it was not. Ordered a couple of ramens via Deliveroo in aberdeen and shouldn’t have bothered. It was completely flavourless dry (yes dry) noodles with some chicken on top. This was meant to be the chilli ramen aswell but it was so bland I couldn’t be bothered eating it. A spoon full of starchy “stock” in the bottom was the only liquid very bizarre. Would have been better with super noodles at least I would have set my expectations low and they would have been more flavoursome! Really poor show to the chef at Wagamama aberdeen. Sort it out. Until they do please don’t waste your money so many other good eating options above this.

Ve a Wagamama's a menudo, ya que es uno de nuestros favoritos. Un miembro del personal, Richard, nos atendió. Su comportamiento era tan agradable que realmente hizo nuestra comida. Fue extremadamente informativo al ayudarnos con nuestras preguntas sobre la comida y el área. Realmente espero que este tipo reciba algún tipo de elogio, su servicio mejoró adecuadamente nuestro día.

Dined here and opted for the chicken gyozas followed by the chicken and prawn pad Thai. Food was served very quickly, staff friendly enough however the quality of food could be better! The gyozas looked like they had been taken out the freezer and popped into the fryer and the pad Thai very dry no flavor at all. The restaurant is literally like a conveyer belt...in and out!

The main meal was really nice. The puddings didn't appeal. The service was a bit slow although it was busy.

Very well looked after by Richard. Great menu. Great flavours. My first time to Wagamama's. Very pleasantly surprised. Lovely experience.

I was in aberdeen for work and a collegue took me to wagamama(I always wanted to try it) , we were greeted by the manager (I think) and we sat down we ordered 2 ramen and in one of them was no egg and we were told that they didn't had time to prep them in the morning the ramen was not great so I left it we paid and went back to work I hope this was one off because I want to try it again when I am in town next.

Lovely dinner with friends. Relaxed atmosphere and tasty food. Service was very quick and fuss free. Edgar (waiter) was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

We were around union square after our business meetings and wanted to have some lunch.We decided to try the restaurant. It was quite busy but we managed to be led to a cubicle seating.We ordered two appetizers i.e. pull pork chops and pork belly steam buns while the shirodashi pork belly ramen as main and a peach tea.It took a while for our appetizers and main to be served. The food was surprisingly not we have expected and very much below average. The gyoza filling was mushy, the pork belly buns were dry and the ramen broth was tasteless. It was quite disappointing as we had much better food at Wagamama in Abu Dhabi.Total bill was approximately GBP 26 and we are definitely not going to revisit the restaurant.

3 of us had a quick lunch, the chicken katsu was ok but ive had nicer. Quite expensive for lunch i think. Service was ok. I understand they bring food as its ready but seemed little appreciation of us wanting to eat lunch together, one diner was nearly finished before the last diner was served - not really a fan of this.

If reviews were based solely on the food, this Wagamama would get 5*. And although the service is typically fine, there is nothing that makes it extra special. Furthermore, the prices are quite high, so it's not your typical..."I'm hungry, let's go to Wagamama's".

Lovely place, great people and delightfull food. Very nice people offers you a pleasant taste of Japaneese ramen ... Kindly recomended for a family lunch or even a business dinner!

Helpful staff, excellent food. First meal here, certainly won’t be the last. Steak, duck and fluffy buns..all delicious.

I can not fault the food at wagamamas. It’s honestly one of my favourite restaurants. Spicy pepper squid and sticky rice is my go to meal. The green tea is also lovely. The food comes out when it’s ready and they have a variety of sizes of tables for different groups.

The food is not worth the price at all !!

Went to Wagamama with my cousin on Monday the 16th and we were not disappointed as usual. We were greeted warmly by Anderson. The food was delicious and I wish we could have had some more space for the dessert too. The staff was very friendly and very attentive, always checking on us.

I was already several wagamama, but aberdeen is my favorite, best chef of all, I can not deny, that Wagamama is my favorite restaurant

Down from Shetland for a couple of days and seen this place was always busy. Managed to get a table for me,y wife and 2 year olds. Great food and great service by Aden thanks again we will be back

As usual the meals are fantastic. It was one of our family regular restaurant. The customer service today is awesome. The waiter that served us to "Aden is extremely good and the best I have seen in recent days. Aden at Wagamama Aberdeen was very helpful and attention to detail and ensured that we had a good evening. Thanks Aden and your entire team at Wagamama Aberdeen for extraordinary service.

Visited with a friend. Had to queue for a table but as we both love it here we didn’t mind and it didn’t take long for a table to be available. My friend had the chicken katsu and I had my usual teriyaki soba sirloin steak. My dish was really nice but on the cold side. Waitress asked our meals were and I commented it was lovely but bit cold. She kindly offered to make a new one but as we were on a tight schedule I politely declined. Another waitress then came over and checked I didn’t want another one. My friend really enjoyed her chicken katsu. We were then asked if we’d like a desert on the house. We couldn’t manage one but it was a lovely gesture. The staff here are so friendly and really care for their customers. Due to my dish being on the cold side we got some money off the bill. All four members of staff we spoke with were fab. We will be back!

Anoche visité la sucursal de Union Square de Wagamamas en Aberdeen con un amigo (22 de noviembre) y el servicio fue excepcional. Nos recibió rápidamente el personal y nuestro encantador servidor Simas fue tan encantador. Muy bien informados sobre los platos y nos aconsejó bien sobre ofertas especiales. No podría haber sido más educado o atento. Personalmente, generalmente no me tomo el tiempo de escribir comentarios en los restaurantes que he visitado, pero escuché a la pareja que estaba junto a nosotros quejarse de nuestro camarero Simas y no pude estar más en desacuerdo. Fue tan amable y servicial con ellos como lo fue con nosotros, y creo firmemente que eran el tipo de clientes a los que les gusta quejarse. Nuestra experiencia en general fue maravillosa y solo quería tomarme el tiempo para expresarlo, ya que Simas fue fantástico. Gracias Wagamamas!

¡Tan decepcionado con el menú "actualizado" para Wagamamas! He estado yendo durante años y me encantó lo mucho que abastecían a Gluten Free, especialmente el delicioso plato de Itame. Desafortunadamente, la última vez que visité, me quitaron el plato de Itame y también redujeron el menú a solo 4 platos amigables para GF, ¡impactante! Anteriormente los habría calificado con un 5, pero no hace falta decir que después de este cambio, no volveré otra vez sin tantas opciones ahora.

It was the second time we went to the restaurant and just like the first time, Richard was our waiter. He was very chatty and friendly as well as happy to help when me and my friend needed it. He made our visit much better. (:

Normal food for this chain and is alway very good. Attentive staff, fast service and tasty food, all you need for a noodle chain. You will be safe here as the food is the same as all the other branches

Ayant essayé d'utres restaurants de cette galerie commerciale nous ne nous attendions pas à aussi bien manger. La queue à l'entrée montrev que nous ne sommes pas seuls à êtrede cet avis. Le service était attentioné, rapide et souriant.

Ramen had literally no taste. Gyoza must have been cooked sometime last week, texture of plastic. Avoid.

We went there for a friend's 18th birthday and the food was amazing! We all enjoyed ourselves and our waiter Richard was very helpful in showing us the menu, it was our first time there. I would highly recommend it and will be going again on any occasion.

Food at Wagamamas always of high quality. Staff member very good . Atmosphere was very pleasant, the restaurant was slightly quietier than I've seen it. If in Aberdeen. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wagamamas.

We were served by Richard, who was honestly such a big heart. He recommend us something completely new to try and every time he walked past, always tried to make a nice conversation. Definitely would recommend! (it was a bit too hot inside tho)

Suited recently with a friend for dinner and the food was very good and the service was excellent only con is that the food is pricey.

Always clean, always friendly, always great quality ingredients, always a fantastic meal!

I have been here before and it has always been fine however the last time i came here was for a lunch for four. I had a vegan dish and everybody else had ramens. Three of us got our meals and then my partner didn't get his ramen for a good while after. By the time he had got it, i was finished my meal and the other two were at least half way through theirs and although we had mentioned it to the manager there still seemed to be no urgency or concern that we had one person sitting with nothing. Additionally, I asked our server for a glass of water and it took 5 to 10 minutes before it was actually brought over. The food was delicious but its a shame that the service is a bit laggy.

Per gli amici italiani: cibo ottimo ma soprattutto modo fantastico di trattare il cliente. Ho varie allergie alimentari e la manager ha passato al setaccio tutti i piatti del menu facendomi una lista accurata di ciò che potevo mangiare e non mangiare. Mi hanno addirittura fatto scegliere le salse per accompagnare un piatto che di standard ne aveva solo una!!! Sicuramente ci tornerò!! Consigliato

Visited this place for the first time yday with my family including 2 boys. I have not been to such a customer friendly and caring place before in Aberdeen,staff going to extra miles to make us feel comfortable,patiently explaining each dishes to us as we were clueless, and even demonstrating how to use the chopsticks to my little boy.

Me and my friend went last Sunday and we got a chilli ramen and the teriyaki don buri both very delicious massive portions though, we probably should have shared something. The waiter was really nice -shout out to Aiden- we asked if we could put a tip on the bill but he said we didn’t have to, we insisted. The starters are also amazing !!!

Visited with friends. Friends started with the dumplings which I believe were tasty. I had the wok fried greens to start which was really nice but the portion size was poor. Not worth the £4.50 it cost! I then had the teriyaki soba sirloin steak. It was absolutely delicious! Not sure what my friends ordered but they said their dishes were amazing too. Everything is so fresh here and the staff are great. Very helpful, happy and friendly. Apart from the poor starter portion our dining experience was faultless. Can’t wait to go back!!

Lovely lunch, food always good, fresh and tasty clean food. Fruit juices are so different and fresh, we never manage a pudding, always too full. We had ramen, curries, squid staters with edamame beans

Fuimos a Wagamama con los 4 de nosotros. Primero para uno de nosotros, dos de nosotros había sido antes y nuestra hija más joven lo había sido varias veces. Los cuatro teníamos un lado, un plato principal y un postre. En el lado positivo, toda la comida era excelente, aunque uno de los platos principales, un ramen de pollo en un rico caldo de pollo, era bastante insípido. El menú de postres era excelentemente diferente. El servicio era igual de bueno. En el lado negativo, tienes que sentarte en las banquetas (sí, hay bancos, pero el enfoque de entrada significa que es poco probable que obtengas una). Más negativo, sin embargo, es el concepto fundamental de Wagamama de servir comida cuando está listo. No tenía mis principales cuando el resto estaba comiendo y dos postres llegaron significativamente antes que los demás. Simplemente no nos gusta esa parte del concepto.

A menudo ven aquí con amigos y el viaje de hoy ha sido el mejor con diferencia. A pesar de que usualmente ordenamos los mismos artículos cada vez, ¡la comida en esta ocasión fue excepcional! Disfrutamos mucho de este lugar. Nuestra comida llegó agradable y caliente. Teníamos gyoza, un bollo al vapor, un plato de pollo y el calamar picante. El calamar que recomendaría absolutamente, es el nivel correcto de picante para un pelele como yo. También me encanta, me encanta el arroz pegajoso, es un acompañamiento perfecto para el calamar. El personal es amable y por lo general siempre hay espacio.

Mi esposa y yo fuimos a almorzar, estaba un poco nerviosa porque tengo alergias a los alimentos, pero el personal fue excelente. El gerente vino a tomar mi pedido para asegurarme de que mi plato no se mezcle con nada a lo que yo sea alérgico. La comida se servía a tiempo y estaba deliciosa. Regresaremos a cenar para probar los diferentes extras.

I visited Wagamama again yesterday with high hopes for a decent meal as last year I'd eaten there on several occasions and was impressed. Unfortunately this time my 'meal' was a disaster. I ordered the Donbori Duck at £14.50 and was cheerily presented with a very small portion size in the bowl. Under half full. I thought my eyes were deceiving me and tried to convince myself that it was the same size as I'd enjoyed previously - but sadly it wasn't. It was a a small Scrooge like portion which took me a few minutes to eat. I complained to the waitress who disappeared off to see her manager. The news from the manager (who couldn't be bothered making an appearance) was "All the portions are measured" - what on earth does that mean? Measured increasingly small I fear to maximise profits. That summed it up. It's a disgrace that this restaurant is unable to serve up a decent portion size for the best part of 15 quid and are quite happy to try and get away with it. Sorry Wagamama - poor portions mean poor feedback. I was given 25 percent off the bill and I left.

Went there back in December for our little holiday and the food is absolutely fantastic, the drink was very refreshing and Staff very friendly

Wagamamas is a fantastic restaurant. The food is great. Their sticky rice and chilli squid are fond favourites of mine. The seating arrangements are great as well.

We had dinner here on Friday night it was really busy, we asked for a booth when we booked but was refused it. The food was bland not much flavour,very over priced, I didn’t like how the food came at different times my husband had finished eating before my meal arrived! The staff were nice different staff serving us though out our meal. I wouldn’t return nothing special.

So much choice here in this mall but opted for this place and was not disappointed. Very busy but staff very friendly and helpful. Shared a starter of the duck dumplings and small portion of the spicy cabbage, cant remember the actual names of the food. Then had the udon noodles with all sorts in it and it was fabulous. Great to colour in with my granddaughter whilst waiting and also good that they do mini raman noodle bowls for children with the wee childrens starter chop sticks. It made it fun for her and to know that she is eating good healthy food was good for me.

A family visit today to Wagamaama, Union Square, Aberdeen, Scotland. All staff were very friendly specially Mikaela, who served us. Though restaurant was busy gave us very special experience by being very patient and pleasant. Mikaela took care of every need of our children and heard their menu patiently.

I think for what you get it is overpriced. I had not been in years did not really enjoy the style of service but my husband wanted to try it. He enjoyed what he ate, but wished we had gone home after cinema and had a carry out, it would have been less expensive and I would have enjoyed it more.

Another consistent meal, very busy, great atmosphere, however I feel it’s slightly pricey at £8.50 for a glass of house wine. 2 adults and 3 young children £100.

I went to Wagamama’s today with three other friends I ordered Katsu curry the chicken was so dry and bland, the rice was starchy. My friend ordered pad Thai she didn’t like hers either I only had three spoonfuls and I couldn’t eat the rest. Complete waste of money will definitely not be back !!!

On entering the premises, I was waiting for about 5 minutes watching a waitress do receipts, utterly oblivious to everyone but herself. Eventually she noticed me, and asked where I would like to sit. I asked for a booth table, which she rudely refused, saying that the table was for four, and telling me that I would sit at a communal table. Next, a different member of staff appeared behind me unannounced, and took my order, a chicken rice dish with a bottle of beer. The glass which came with my beer was absolutely filthy, but when I looked to a member of staff to complain, they had all disappeared to an assigned "staff table" for a good chinwag amongst themselves. Even the waiter that served up my food didn't want to know. I had the Chicken Teryiaki Donburi, only you wouldn't know it was Teryiaki as it was absolutely tasteless. Even the kimchi didn't taste of anything, and the rice was extremely bland. After finishing my meal, I waited to get my bill, which took well over 20 minutes to get a waiter, and who just laid the bill down grimly. £14.20, so I paid £15 and they're f*cking lucky they got 80p for a soulless amateurish effort. WILL NOT BE BACK.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I chose a ginger chicken dish with noodles. Well, no sign of any ginger and the chicken pieces were so small they were like the pieces that you pick off a chicken carcase ! Very poor value for money. Also, served on a cold plate so food got cold very quickly. I won't be back.

Great place, good menu options excellent tastes, very good service. A booking is required to avoid long waiting times. The usual standards you expect to find.

Just ok but what sets Wagamama apart from other high street or mall expectations is the food and service.

Always find eating out alone a bit daunting but got off the train and was v hungry. Saw the wags sign and all was well.

Mi primera visita a Wagamamas con mi esposo. Mi comida era realmente excepcional! Sin embargo, ¡me sorprendió tanto la manera ridícula en que me sirvieron que es poco probable que regrese! Los dos ordeñamos un entrante y un principal. Sólo se sirvió un primer plato. ¿Quién serviría a una pareja solo un entrante? ¡Ambos deben ser preparados y servidos juntos! Así que después de mi comida principal llegó, todavía no hay otro titular! Le pregunté al servidor que acaba de responder "salen como y cuando están listos para mantenerlos frescos". Esta no es una respuesta aceptable, y ciertamente no es una forma aceptable de servir alimentos. ¡Casi había terminado mi comida completa antes de que mi marido consiguiera su primer plato! Ciertamente no pudimos comer fuera juntos! Cuando llegó su tazón de ramen, tuvo que dejarlo y ordenar otro ya que el nivel de especias estaba por el techo, ¡y le gusta el picante! No había ninguna indicación en el menú de que la comida fuera tan picante. Una calificación de especias en los platos sería una mejora!

Mi esposa y yo vinimos buscando opciones veganas, el menú tenía muchas opciones que sonaban muy bien y la mayoría de lo que pedimos era fresco y lleno de sabores agradables (no tan buenos como cocinar en casa pero cerca). El ramen de tofu era incomible, como volcánicamente picante, me gusta la comida picante y no soy ajeno a los chiles picantes, pero este ramen me tenía sudando, con la nariz corriendo y atrayendo el reflujo ácido. . . El chile también ahogó todos los otros sabores en él, tuve que devolverlo.

While shopping in Union Square, I decided to stop for a bowl of chicken ramen at Wagamama. The chicken was good. But the broth was quite watery and flavourless. A larger variety of vegetables would also improve this dish.

Mi hija y yo tuvimos un aperitivo que mi esposa rechazó. Tuve calamares que era excelente y muy sabroso. Mi hija tenía un plato vegano que ella disfrutó mucho.

No he visitado Wagamama durante tanto tiempo, así que decidí volver a visitar. Lamentablemente me pareció decepcionante esta vez.

Aunque era un sábado por la tarde muy concurrida, nos dieron una mesa bastante rápido. Teníamos los menús para mirar mientras esperábamos. Hay mucho para elegir. Tuve el calamar y luego sopa de fideos de mariscos. Mi hija tenía un plato de fideos salteados. Había tanto que no pudo terminarlo, así que la camarera lo puso muy amablemente en una bañera para llevar a casa. Todo llegó muy rápido, el ambiente fue positivo y el personal atento, educado y servicial.

Whilst waiting for a table we were given menus to browse (a nice touch) and turnover was quick once tables were cleared.

Lovely dinner, yes it's all pre staged food but what they do is perfectly acceptable and a very reasonable price.

Had a lovely meal. Steamed buns, brisket donburi and chicken and prawn pad thai followed by banana katsu and mango and coconut parfait washed down with gin and tonic. Lovely tasty fresh food, quick efficient service. Couldn't ask for more. And I have been in Japan before and the food served here is honestly better than anything I ate in Japan.

First time at Wagamama. Richard was extremely knowledgeable and is the man!!! Food was great...WAY more than expected. P.S. Send more golf balls:)

New to Aberdeen, we had to pop into the local Wagamama when we had just over half an hour to spare.

Having grown up in Japan, I was excited to try Wagamama, but I was so disappointedly but the food that I don’t even know where to begin. If people think this is authentic Japanese food then that’s really sad. The chicken katsu we ordered for kids had curry sauce too spicy for kids (why?!) and it tasted nothing like the curry we get at home. Katsu was also very dry. The noodles that came with ramen were not like proper ramen noodles. They are white!! They are never white!! It has no texture and again far from what Ramen should taste and look like. The whole meal experience was a disaster. Even my kids said it was awful. Never again!!!!

Always come here for food everytime I’m in Aberdeen, and now that I live here I’ll be a regular! Can’t beat the Katsu Chicken Curry and a Power juice. Always feel so full afterwards in a good way!

The food was really nice and fresh, however we were served as our food was ready so it was a bit strange being served at different times, no major complaints though, the food and service were excellent, would definitely go back.

Tried this place for the first time at the weekend.We had the donburi,which had lovely rice and very fresh vegetables and beautiful brisket.My daughter had the katsu curry,which was equally as good.The portions were a generous size.We did not have to wait for a table despite it being Saturday lunchtime,and the staff were all very friendly and pleasant,even the one’s who were not serving us.The meal arrived very quick and was just the right temperature.The food was reasonable priced too.Couldn’t fault the restaurant in any way.Will definitely go back as there is a lot more on the menu that I would like to try.

If you are looking for something a bit different to eat in the city, stop by Wagamama. The staff were great and the food was very tasty, reasonably priced and there is a large selection of both food and drinks on offer to suit all tastes. There is a lot of choice in the area, but this is certainly one of the top places.

went there to order my food only to find out 1. they gave me the wrong bag 2. went i gave it back to them theyre were several stuff missing. had high hopes but hopes were shut down. shouldve had someone assist the food before giving it out.
