Wagamama in Ashford

Table service was mediocre, table staff overworked. Food ,if ordered a dish containing chicken and prawns,i expected more than 2 small prawns and bits of chicken.

Having been a customer for several years, I'm disappointed with the Ashford service. Last week, we tried eating here in the evening but was greeted by a rude waiter and decided to leave. Today, I ordered my usual but had to pay an extra pound for adding mushooms - I'm intolerant to 3 key vegetables and removed those. I have saved the restaurant by omitting 3 vegetables so there shouldn't be a charge for adding in mushooms. I have paid for this but will not revisit this particular branch.

Great service and food is pretty good plus hot as so many I've been to is lukewarm

First visit to Ashford and during the visit went to Wagamama for lunch.. Great lovely experience.. starting from taking order to serving the food. Thanks to Lilly and Charlie for serving our family with great care and love. Will visit again during my next visit from Watford to Ashford

Very nice food, loud atmosphere

The food is always good and really quickly. Was eating alone but felt comfortable and serving staff were friendly. Was very busy but didn't have to wait for a table. Tried the steamed buns for the first time....lovely.

Can’t speak for atmosphere but after ordering delivery for wagamamas after many many times of eating in. The dishes we ordered came with completely different noodles. Completely ruined the meal considering what we have had in the past. Went from being fantastic food to noodles that were undercooked held no flavour and steak that were tough enough to make shoes from. Very disappointing

Very good food and service but you have to have a taste for it

When we went to Ashford Designer Outlet, we just passed by the restaurant. It was too early for lunch so we just look onto the Kaitenzushi, also known as conveyor belt sushi or sushi train, a convenient and affordable type of sushi restaurant characterized by the conveyor belt that winds through the restaurant. The ambiance was nice.

Luv Wagamama...never had a bad meal. This evening tried the fab sakura pink gin cocktail with cherry blossom syrup, tonic and rose petals...gorgeous.

This was my first time here I didn't think I would like anything as I'm a bit fussy but I was out with my mum and thought we would try something different! And I'm so glad I did because we enjoyed there cocktails passion fruit colada was so good!!! And I had the sofa chicken noodles which is was so tasty!! Followed by the breaded banana fritters and caramel ice cream 🍨 definitely will be back we had a great time and great service

I had the beef brisket ramen 🍜 chilli squid🌶 🐙 🦑 and a cherry blossom lemonade.🌸🍋 I did have a mishap though where I was given normal lemonade but apart from that and the fact there could've been more beef i think it was the perfect meal to have after crossing the border from France 🇫🇷.

Drove to Ashford just for lunch and quickly went straight to Wagamama for a hot ramen. Luckily, it wasn’t packed and the staff that day were friendly and recommended options suitable for our taste. Surely, we will be back when we are in the area.

This has to be one of the best Wagamama I've been too. Got seated with my partner at a two person table slightly tucked away, it was really cute and great not to be seated on the edge of a big table for once. The food was perfect as well as the service. Our waiter was so kind and very friendly. It was a great experience overall, if I was ever to go back to Ashford, I'd definitely go here again.

No space to put your jackets, coats, some employees needed to be asked o retold moret han once for things you need. Otherwise Very good, atmosphere, lot of staff in hand and they we good with overall service 👍 😀 happy.

I really like the food at wagamamas and always find it very tasty, whether it be a curry, noodles or rhamen. The thing I think still let's it down to this day is the school cafeteria style seating. Regardless of whether this is a traditional Japanese style of eating or not I personally prefer a private table to eat at and not a communal canteen. I also think the majority would prefer separate tables as nearly everyone coming through the door asks for a booth

Wagamama always provides freshly cooked tasty food. The staff in Ashford are super too.

One of the better ones in the chain! All food spot on and fresh for a quick bite. All service from Mgr to leads good. Due to boxing day volume had to wait outside for 20 mins but was to be expected

Have been before but a while ago and enjoyed it. This time I noticed portions much smaller, costs have increased too. Mine wasn't hot, luke warm. Staff too busy to ask if everything ok with meal?

Always great food fast service and good value

It was quite busy so we had to wait a little bit but not too long. I have an allergy so my order was taken by a manager and prepared separately, this was amazing, no need to be concerned about cross contamination. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My only negative was the lack of chocolate options in the desert menu that are nut free!

Just a big shout out to the waiter Sophie, my partner and I visited this evening and they greeted us with such positivity. They were so attentive with our needs and it was lovely chatting to them. To top it off the food was delicious and I’m very thankful for the extra kimchi and the great recommendation from Sophie about trying the gochujang donburi, it was divine!

Good place to have a hearty meal after some bargain shopping

Would've been a nice ending to an afternoon spent shopping at Ashford if not for a horribly rude and insolent waitress. Because of her, my family and I would never return there to dine again.

Raj was absolutely great, very friendly, patient and went above and beyond to get a certain sauce we requested.

Second attempt. After the first disappointing visit, we tried the second time which was better. The service is good, and the food arrives quickly but sometimes it's cold. Portions are not so big and I would call it a bit pricy for what you get.

Loved it. Went straight in. Waiters were all great, friendly, helpful and aware. 5 of us had a mix of Japanese and S Korean food and all of it was all great. Will go back again.

Had a fabulous lunch out with my friend at Wagamamas Ashford 😍 we chose to share some starters like tapas ha Chilli mushrooms, tama squid, pulled pork bao buns, chicken yakitori & vegan k dogs were all perfection 🥰

What a dreadful service,If you are seating people regardless of the time let them sit and look at the menu!! We were stood beside our table not even seated not even looked at a menu and was asked for our order!! Was advised kitchen was closing so why seat us?? Dreadful experience, made to feel an inconvenience and very uncomfortable

Fantastic food, our server Matt, who I believe has recently started was absolutely amazing 👏 😀 🙌 Big shout out to him because it was mad busy and he was just fantastic. I hope this is reviewed because an incorrect table number was written on our placement and it wasn't him who did it, but I think a supervisor thought it was.

Food was some of the best I've eaten in a Wagamama. Service was excellent, shout out to our server, I think her name was Grace (sorry if I got this wrong!).

We had a large group but this was no trouble. The staff were incredibly accommodating including our waiter and the door staff. When I mentioned that I had a food intolerance they took this matter seriously and a manager was called to deal with our order. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. The team also made special accommodations for my mother who has recently had mouth surgery and is undergoing chemo. Thank you Ashford wagamama for a fab experience.

We went for dinner at Ashford Wagamama. And it was great. We had chicken raisukaree and a rice bowl with chicken. The food was lovely and spicy as expected. The service by Thanya was great and friendly. She made sure that we had a great time. Thank you.

Staff worked so hard to create a great atmosphere in a shopping complex. Food was excellent. Cater so well for allergies: dry mouth syndrome and gluten free in our group.

Always a winner with Wagamama's. Greens for starters and then chicken udon with ginger. And good to have a few cups of green tea for free. This restaurant also had the option of paying without having to wait for a waiter/ress.

Always enjoy my occasional wagamama lunch. Apparently, they no longer serve coffee. 1 or 2 new items on the menu. Staff is always assertive, helpful, and plenty working.

I'm a little disappointed. As a family of 4, all 4 meals arrived at very different times. First meal amazing inside 5 minutes second me 3-4 minutes after 3 meal another 5 minutes. The 4 meal didn't arrive. After a conversation with the assistant, another 5 minutes had passed. Unfortunately, when the meal it was wrong, a further 10 minutes my son's meal arrived. I was hot and fresh, but everyone else at the table had finished. We spoke to the assistant, who kindly removed my son's meal from the bill. It was nice.

It’s the only place worth visiting at the outlet. Can’t beat a Waga’s. Always quality food, service was spot on. Get yourself a seat out the front and watch the world go by as you indulge into some great food! I always get the Hot Katsu curry (666) with their firecracker sauce poured on top 🥵

Enjoyed a good meal as usual at Ashford Wagamama today. However, it was spoilt by the regular and continual reference, by the staff, to myself and my (female) partner as "guys". I find this irritating at the best of times (often feel like suggesting they go to Specsavers !), but the frequency of it during today's visit was more than irritating. I know this American import now seems to be used everywhere but I know I'm not the pnly one who finds it annoying. I also wonder how long it will be before someone from LGBTQ background takes exception.

Had both takeaway and dine in here. Food is exactly what you'd expect from wagamama. Atmosphere is good (recent renovations are great). Busy at peak times for both delivery and dine in so pick times carefully.

When I got my order back the chicken was not a fresh one but had clearly been over-cooked by re- /heating to within an inch of it's life! it was very dry with hard edges. I ate some, gave some rice to hubby but left the rest to show the waitress again who said she would tell her manager. we paid, ready to go but the waitress came back and 'suggested' to me that next time perhaps I should order a curry as there would be more sauce"!!!!! How rude ! As she pushed the pointed we had to reiterate that it was dry because it had been overcooked!!! We won't be back.

A little expensive but it was delicious. Service was good, no complaints.

We love it here it's a favourite new booth seating makes it more comfortable as I have issues with my hip and back We choose items where hot items can be removed and its done to what we like Staff always fantastic free healthy green tea My son and I take it in turns for a treat Take away would be great but it doesn't allow us to remove the hot items shame We rate this the best x

Firecracker chicken curry was too good.. would definitely recommend it. Grilled chicken ramen is good for people who prefer not so spicy food, I had to add chilli oil and soy sauce for me to enjoy it even better. The place is usually crowded so would recommend booking in advance.

Absolutely disgusting. Just had noodles that tasted like theyd been left out of the side for 2 days and reheated. Asked for no onions and had onions mixed it so was obviously not made fresh. Now feel sick and have a stomach ache and dirty glasses

Awesome food! The menu is not big but creative and the taste is great! Tried it firsst time in London and happy to find it in Ashford. Everyone who is into asian food will find something here.

Really crowded, which is difficult for a disabled member to navigate. Servers were lovely but forgot to bring over most of our order and additional parts such as extra’s and drinks. Our food was also brought out at really different times, it was a good 15/20 mins before the other half of the table got their dishes. Dishes were a little spicier than normal but still delicious, was just a shame about the timings.

A shame as we were very regular customers. But never again. They got our order wrong last week and was very apologetic, said they'd give us £15 off the next order. I asked how we would get the £15 off, as we have to order online and pay by card. (They don't allow collection orders to be taken over the phone) and was reassured I'd be able to place this order over the phone to get the money off. I called just now to place an order and was told, "I couldn't place an order over the phone and those were only for eating in." I reminded him the voucher states take out too, he then said "I can come to the collection window, order there and wait." I'm not going to wait outside the shop for up to an hour for £15 off. Something I got because you guys messed up my previous order lol, have a good one guys 👋🏻

Once again Wagamamas Ashford disappoints! If it isn’t the quality of the food it’s the speed of it. After waiting 35 mins I decided to just cancel my pork buns… to finally be told there was an issue with the screens and food was appearing on the wrong screens! Well that would have explained my 25 min wait for my duck gyoza and my ramen! Would been nice to be told to expect a delay!

Amazing service from Charlie who was really friendly and accommodating and helped create a custom order which was perfect! The best customer service I've experienced in quite some time! Many thanks! I'll be coming back!

I cannot fault the service and food that we had here at Wagamama - we were treated professionally and in a friendly manner. The only drawback is that one has to attend early in order not to have to queue outside for a free table. But that is again testament to how good a restaurant this is! Lovely atmosphere, food arrived quickly and hot, drinks came out within a few minutes of ordering. They have recently expanded the restaurant to ensure there are enough seats for everyone. They have even added a delivery hatch to the side so delivery drivers don’t block up the restaurant.

Love Wagamama as a rule but not this time. Waited a long time to be served as only 1 waitress taking orders which at 11:15am would seem ok normally but not today. People who cane in after us were served before us. Placed the order after the drinks server saw we were still sitting there and waited a while again for the food. Chilli squid was warm at best. My order arrived after 25 mins and my partner sat another 10 mins waiting for theirs. I know food comes when it comes but 35 mins. Prices also have certainly increased to for now sun standard service and lukewarm starters. Not the first time the squid has been like this.

After waiting 18 minutes on the cold, I was served a ramen which was tasteless and a few rice noodles and mainly water and spring onion. Not worth it, they need to sort out the sitting arrangement as the long queue outside was there for at least an hour, possible even after we left. However the food is cooked in a rush and takes long to arrive and no taste. Nando is a better and cheaper option.

They served a chocolate cake which was so cold that we couldn't eat it.. On bringing this to the waitress and then the managers attention he said that you have taken a bite of the cake so u have to pay for it!! I did ask him how am I supposed to figure out its cold without taking one bite!! To be honest I think the service across different franchises fluctuate a lot.. I am not going back to the Ashford one for sure
