Wagamama in Leicester

Great chain option, good range of veggie /vegan /gluten free options. Decent value, fast service. I'm not sure how accessible it is, as the bench seats are fixed to the floor.

Came in for a meal at 8:30 with friends and Celeste was soo nice!!! Really made the meal she’s a queen🩷🩷

Met some friends for a catch up and Wagamamas ticked all boxes for dietary requirements. Tofu firecracker was lovely and had a kick which I liked, wish I had more portion wise. Got the mushroom bag buns which weren't that big or filled properly, so didn't hit the spot as I hoped. But great staff and atmosphere, just avoid the bar buns if your wanting something special

This is my first time coming here and it was truly exceptional . Chris was our server and he is a genuine asset to the team here . He was extremely attentive and recommended me my meal ( which was amazing). He was extremely polite and we had a fantastic conversation . When our food arrived he even double checked our egg was runny enough. Food brilliant! I had ramen and it was delicious! I will definitely come back. Only one small thing is that I ordered thle dessert. I was waiting for it so I checked the bill and it wasn't there. It was a bit difficult to get service attention. Maybe it is my luck because that is not the first restaurant when I have this kind of situation. But overall I recommend it!

WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I asked for the bill several times with several different waiters but every time they ignored me and continued serving other customers this lasted for 2 HOURS I was also not given any cutlery please do NOT go to this restaurant the service was absolutely appalling

This was our 1st visit to the restaurant. It was my daughters birthday and she wanted to go there for her meal....with her boyfriend 😒 🙄. So we accompanied them (on different tables. ) The staff were amazing. They really couldn't help us any more if they tried. The food was delicious, and so was the chilli margarita...I definitely recommend 👌. We will definitely be going again 👍🏻

Came for a little date for my birthday tonight, was served by Amelia! She was so lovely and really helped us out. We was abit quiet but such a lovely girl. The food was outstanding we cannot fault it. We will be back again! Thank you loves :)

Food tasted very good, although took a bit of time, but they were busy. The only issue was we both had upset tummies that evening!! Seems coincident that we were other unwell, !

Absolutely terrible experience. We had to wait ages to get seated, there was no staff, took forever to get served, took forever for the first set of drinks to come to us followed by over a 45 minute wait on the food to be served to us, and even worse the food was stone cold ! Had to find a waiter to tell him this and he took our plates and gave us another meal another 45 minutes later which was not much warmer than the last. To top it off the Katsu curry sauce was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I love spicy food but I think that day the chef must have been on speed and must have put double the amount of chillies in it ! I begged for water and asked 3 times for it but no one was available to get me any as there was no staff available. I just wanted to get out of there. Couldn't even flag down a waiter to pay the bill. The food was expensive and we were not offered any compliments of any kind considering the service we received. I would never ever eat here again. Wagama sort your staff out or close it altogether if you're that short ! Don't let customers suffer like we had to. Absolutely disgusting !

We went for my birthday on 7 th of January , 2024. I and my daughter had a noodles with chicken. My noodles ( with chicken and prawns)were dry and had a lot of ginger , my daughter’s nodules ( chicken) was so sweet and dry and she ate only the chicken. My husband was alright , he asked for a soupy noodles dish, just he said that it has a lot of opinions. I and my daughter left most of our orders and the service man asked us how the meals were and I answered thanks but the noodles are so dry to be eaten. And he said you could ask for some sauce and smiled a Nd left ignoring me. We just lost £60 and destroyed of my birthday’s meal. It w As a very bad experience and will not go it again

We was looking forward to a Wagamamas we haven’t had one before. Seriously disappointing. Will never return my broth was pure water with a kick. My wifes was lukewarm . Overall service and food both poor would never come again. I have a fish allergy my wife received her food a good 4+ minutes before me . The point was to eat together.

Just horrendous food. Better Asian restaurants don’t settle for overpriced and terrible quality food.

First time trying it and enjoyed it very much. I was a little worried that it would be very busy and everything would be rushed, but it was completely fine. While it was still busy, they still managed to seat us fairly quickly, take our order, and serve the food in good time. The food tasted great and the staff were very friendly, nothing to complain about.

This was my first time at Wagamama as we for a meal on a weekday and was really busy. We waited about 5mins whilst they cleaned the table and seated us. The staff explained the ordering process and talked about allergies. As they have a system paying with the QR code there's really not much interaction with staff members. The food was great, now I know why it was soo busy. Good variety and I enjoyed my dish. The drinks were ok too. The food/drink is pricey saying that, I would go back again.

Poor quality food have tasted Much better food in other locations of this chain. Katsu curry was very disappointing sauce was bland and veg was oily and burnt with hardly any breadcrumbs. That was in 2022. Made the mistake of going back again December 2023 the food was terrible sticky rice was so hard not cooked properly at all or they have pre cooked large amounts and left uncovered which has meant the rice has dried out and hardened which makes it very hard to digest unfortunately. We got our order of 3x katsu curry and 3 sides within 10 minutes of ordering so my guess is the latter is that they just pre cook everything and warm up to get to the table quickly. We did ask them whether they could cook the rice for longer if we return and they said because it’s pre cooked in large pots it’s all cooked for the same amount of time so no they couldn’t cook it for longer. Katsu curry was bland again. Such a shame about the quality of the food as the staff are lovely.

Thought the food was very good and the service excellent from Chris. The only downside is the unisex toilets which were not in a good state as used by the deliveroo / Uber eats delivery riders congregating outside and using the side door. If I was the manager I would label one of the toilets for their use only!!! Off putting

Our server Chris was friendly, attentive and just overall absolutely brilliant - Despite a very busy restaurant. He gave us 5 star service. Was very apologetic when our first and second choice of one dessert was not available and so spoke to management and we got a free ice-cream. Food was delicious as always.

I've always been a fan of Wagamama restaurants, but I've noticed a variation in the taste of their food across different locations. The Nottingham branch, in my experience, offers a better taste compared to the one in Leicester.

We were seated and waited almost 25 minutes for a server that never came. As we decided to leave, my husband went to tell the young man who seated us (Steve), he moved us to his section and took great care of us. I had been looking forward to Wagamama since we arrived in Leicester. Shout out to Steve for being fabulous and making a tired American couple very happy. ***To Steve's boss: you have an amazing employee here. He deserves recognition for his good work. ***

Today was the second time in six months where I felt robbed of £14 for teriyaki chicken donburi. Plenty of rice but less chicken than one hens foot and lacking in sauce/flavour. Could do better Wagamama’s

Ate here solo on for a work trip and felt comfortable. Food was up to usual wagamamas standard, the only criticism was the chilli squid was a bit cold and arrived about 20 mins after my yakisoba, by which time I wasn't very hungry for it. Good service otherwise.

5 Stars for our waiter for the evening Casper. What a fantastic waiter with an unmatched charisma. Anything we needed, he was more than happy to assist with, at great pace as well, really adds to your evening when you feel appreciated by your server, so I want him and manager’s of this restaurant to know that we appreciated him. A delay on one of the meals is why this review is 4 Stars but Casper did all he could to help resolve this.

Okay spot. Ate here both in and takeaway via a delivery service, and both time consistent and atypical with a chain restaurant. The restaurant is pretty cool, with service nothing to write home about. The food has always been great, though as with all chains, not the kinda spot you take someone from out of town to. Their Pad Thai is a bit bland when compared to a family owned joint, but that said, it’s not bad at all though the slice of lemon gives more flavour than their recipe. I’d def eat here again and will, but it’s your standard chain so if you’re looking for authentic and something with flair, this might not be your spot.

I have been to Wagamamas in the UK and Australia many times, so I was thrilled to find Wagamamas in Leicester, UK, very close to where I was staying. I chose to eat early, because I know how busy this restaurant usually is. As soon as my eyes lit upon the photo of the Chicken Raisukaree I was hooked. From the first mouthful, it certainly lived up to its name. It was absolutely delicious! It was so delicious that I had to go back for more during my two week stay. Every meal in Wagamamas is absolutely delicious.

Not good at all. When heading into the restaurant we were straight in and sat down at it didn’t appear too busy. We sat scrolling through the menus and decided very quick as every other wagamamas we go to, we are served within 5 minutes! We waited for 30 minutes and big groups of people had ordered, received their drinks and mains… After 40 minutes I decided to ask our server Micheal if he was serving us and he said 2 minutes. 5 minutes later he turned up after groups of people had paid and left!!! He then said that he’s sorry but he should have served someone before us in the first place but he came over because we called him over!! This is incredibly impolite and just making excuses for being slow when he was running circles round everyone else but us! He finally taken our order and we complained about service and he offered us a slice of cake which we kindly declined as we had a train to catch, we asked for drinks off and he said he would see about that. Mains arrived within 5 minutes, things appeared to be getting better… I then finished my drink and mains waiting for my side to arrive. Both of us had finished (20 minutes later after the mains arrived) so we felt so horrible but we had to complain again, and ask if we could cancel the side. Speaking to the kitchen they had simply forgot our order! Unbelievable: the manager tried to help us out by giving us my side for free and then knocked the drinks off. It then finished and it was placed in a take away box for us. We paid and left. Happy to say we will never make a return!! For a restaurant 50% full this was shocking, lazy staff and making excuses.
