Friendly, cosy Italian restaurant. Despite the limited menu the food is very good, staff attentive and friendly and restaurant very pleasant. Enjoyable meal, however, if you are not a meat and fish eater there are very limited vegan and limited veggie options.

Anniversary and birthday celebration (we didn't tell them), and had an early evening meal. Good range of choices on menu. Good speed of service; delicious food and very generous portions. Enjoyed our visit with very friendly and efficient staff. Only issue I had was I felt the restaurant, despite having an entrance lobby, was quite draughty, and with really cold weather, was quite uncomfortable. Overall, would be very happy to return and work my way through a number of other menu options.

Excellent dining experience all around. Pristine presentation with spotless tables and tableware. Staff were efficient and professional. The carbonara was superb - generous portions and, refreshingly, they don't skimp on the meat like many places do. A proper amount of meat in the dish, not just a sparse garnish. Great value for money. 5/5

Fantastic authentic Italian food at decent prices. Staff are really friendly and welcoming, which made a huge difference. Came here for a Christmas meal with family and service was quick and on point. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Very good place. Unexpectedly good and very authentic. But pizza with pineapple on the menu? Come on! Super friendly stuff but it’s not necessary to ask us every two minutes if everything is alright ;). Food was super, prices were fair. All good.

I'm not an Italian food fan and was talked into eating at Volare. I was blown away. The service was fantastic the atmosphere the created was like a little italy in Caerphilly. Food was full of flavour each mouthful was a delight. I don't usually do a 3 course meal, however tonight I did. I will definitely be returning, maybe I'll try the lunchtime menu. Thank you to the Volare staff for such a great evening.

Superb. Quality of food, prices were reasonable, options were plenty, vegan and GF options, and the service was excellent. Smiley staff having a bit of fun on the job bringing the smiles out of even the grumpiest. Would highly recommend!

I am writing this review late as I have been away on holiday. I went to this restaurant on 17th August for a birthday celebration, there were around 17 of us so a good number and we spent a lot of money. I have been here a few times before but this visit was the worst I've experienced, I ordered the fish board for starters and the Pennie Spezzatino for main. Now the starter is £9.95 so not a cheap dish, so you would expect quality, my calamari was over cooked and chewy not what what you expect, I had to call the waiter over because no one came and checked on our meals, I explained that they were chewy and I couldn't eat them, the response was thank you for letting me know, no offer to replace or offer a refund. The main is described as a diced fillet steak, this is not correct, it is more like a braised steak, if I'd known this then I would not have ordered it. Overall feedback from all the party was that the food was OK not value for money, they have definitely slipped here and compared to some other Italian restaurants I've been to, it wouldn't be a recommendation from me. Following your reply I'd like to say this is very poor customer service. I believe you have your facts wrong. Yes you didn't have a light ale and only dark but I excepted that and had a lager instead. Regarding the calamari I only ate 1 and gave the rest to my son and he ate some but as they were so bad he also didn't eat them all. I've spoken to my family and friends at the table and they disagree with your comments about them making fun and laughing, in fact they find these comments quite rude. The fact you can't take a bad review with the respect it was written shows that you have very poor knowledge of the UK market and that your customer service needs to be looked at. Your comments will probably do you more damage than good as people will read this and think if they get a bad meal it will be pointless to complain, and you will come back with some rude comments, although Volare is not for me a number of people in my party have said the same.

Volare is a very nice Italian restaurant in Caerphilly. We both had pizzas, which were very nice and shared a tiramisu, which was also very nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit for a nice Italian meal. Be warned, if it's your birthday they will sing happy birthday to you, very loudly!

Went last night part off my Husbands 65th birthday from the time we went in we were treated with amazing service from all the staff .The food was lovely and plenty off it. staff singing happy birthday with a candle and a shot was the icing on the cake . Cant wait for our next visit

The best Italian in the whole of Wales if not the UK. Food was incredible, portion sizes were more than fair, but most of all, our server Ernesto made the experience as good as it was. Came for our anniversary and he looked after us from the moment we arrived. Thank you ❤️

Midweek birthday meal for my fiancé and had the most lovely evening. The staff are so friendly, engaging and we had a great laugh with them. Service was excellent, never waited long for anything. We booked Volare for my sisters birthday yesterday and I really wanted to say thank you for making it so special. The waiters and waitress were so funny and welcoming, their jokes made us all laugh and put a big smile on all of our faces. Their sense of humour and cheekiness was spectacular, you don’t get that at every restaurant. They surprised my sister with a little treat and sang happy birthday to her which was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere and staff really made it one to remember. Thank you again, we will be back x

went there tonight for my wifes birthday Fabulous,i had the funghi al port fresh mushrooms cooked with bacon , parsley ,onions in port sauce which was a large portion and delicious , my wife had the carrot and parsnip soup it was really nice. we both had fillet stake,mine with chips my wifes with potatoes and veg both done to perfection. drinks reasonable for a restaurant service really top class this restaurant is a gem. well done Volare

The restaurant is quite small and very popular, so you should definitely book a table. The menu offers a not too large but good selection of Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, fish, meat and grilled dishes. Bruschetta with four different toppings is highly recommended as a starter. The pizzas are freshly prepared with a very tasty dough and are sufficiently large to feed an adult. The Pollo Volare was also very tasty, but the sauce was too mild for my taste. The unexpected and extremely loud birthday music for a celebration at another table was unfortunately not very pleasant. This could certainly have been done more calmly and not too exaggerated. Overall a good experience and I would definitely go again.

Valore is a small Italian restaurant on the Cearphilly high street near the train station. The food was delicious and service was extremely fast and efficient. The pricing was fair and the decor of the place suited well. It was busy but that was valentines weekend so had to book. Staff were very friendly and quick to serve. If I had one complaint to make it 4.5 stars I would say the tables are a little small. Well worth a visit though and will surely go again. We had bruschetta each came with a different topping, a great starter to try. Presentation and portion sizes are very good, we skipped on dessert but can't wait to try the affogato next time!

In our opinion, the best Italian food in Caerphilly. The service is always great and it is reasonably priced. We have visited on many occasions, never having an issue. We have also used their takeaway service for pizzas a couple of times, this is also excellent quality.

My first visit on Thursday 22nd February with my daughter. Food was brilliant, atmosphere wonderful. It's a must go to. One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Keep it up.

Volare. An Italian gem in an historic Welsh town. My wife & I enjoyed a Thursday lunch from the set menu. We arrived early and were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff team. Table service was courteous and efficient. We felt valued and cared for and feel pleased to have found a new favourite lunch venue in this pretty local town. The lunches were good value and delicious. Portion sizes were large enough for us, my wife ate two courses but I couldn’t resist adding a sweet. We will be returning often as the experience reminded us of happy times we spent in Italy with our ex-pat friends who live in Gorzegno village in Piedmont region. Thank you and see you again.

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner on Feb 8th with some family, and we received a really great service from all the staff. Unfortunately didn’t catch any individual staff members’ names to shout out but they were all great. Food was equally great, and the price is very reasonable considering the quality, and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere for a special meal. A friend recommended the Italian lemon cocktail and nutella cheesecake - they didn’t disappoint! I had the lasagne which was delicious too.

Went there last sat after the Scotland match and I can honestly say the food and service was amazing. Best steak I’ve had and it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. It’s well deserved for the 5 stars 100%.

Had a gorgeous meal here. We went for the Christmas set menu, and the quality of food and portions were fantastic. The staff are lovely and there was jazz Christmas music playing which really added to the relaxing atmosphere. It was our first time here and will definitely come back. Lovely cosy restaurant.
