Absolutely brilliant food! The Carbonara is the closest I’ve had since leaving Rome! The restaurant is warm and family friendly! Will definitely be coming back !

What an amazing evening for my Dad's 80th. This is a superb Italian restaurant with an authentic Italian vibe. We always feel so special coming here The food is consistently of a superb standard, the service second to non and the atmosphere perfect. Massimo has worked tirelessly to build the reputation of this little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Stapleford. I do read reviews - all those reflecting the positive attributes of Vivo - and there are many - are accurate. Any negative - few and far between - are more a reflection of the people writing them than the restaurant itself in my view.

Love this place, Authentic Italian food with a very friendly atmosphere.

A terrible place to eat, when for a birthday meal last night the place was very loud with staff shouting at people as soon as we walked through the door, we were seated right by the bar and the staff had to squeeze past behind my seat disturbing me when ever they bought out food, when the waiter bought out our tables food he was shouting each dish aggressively as us then when nobody claimed the garlic bread he stood there just shouting "GARLIC BREAD!" until we told him to just leave it on the table, we were not allowed to put our own cheese on our food they had some kid sprinkle it for you! The door was poor I was served a piece of rubbery chicken wrapped in bacon with basically just tomato past dumped on top with a handful of chips, altogether a loud atmosphere, staff shouting nonstop and food not brilliant

The absolute nicest, took our reservation last minute on a Saturday night, didn’t mind our puppy joining us, and the food was superb, authentic, and perfect.

I had a lunchtime early menu meal deal today. 2 course meal for a very reasonable price. Plus some beautiful Italian Peroni lager. Me and my friend (Jon and Magg's) are always made welcome here, we feel like film stars the way the staff treat us. The food is well presented and being Italian is extremely healthy food tasty and good for your health. Keep it up.

Vivos restaurant is situated on the main road in stapleford & has very good connections for local transport & has a very nearby bus stop , plus it's very own car park to the rear which is free for it's customers , so no worries about time slots for parking charges . The premises are kept clean to a very high standard & I noticed a hand sanitizer dispenser is available for customer use , which is a good option for safety & hygiene . The decor is ultra modern contemporary & mood lit with various lighting features that are changing throughout the day , depending on the time of your visit , the night time is especially pleasant as the blue hues & spot lit corners add to a very romantic & intimate atmosphere . The music policy at the time of my visit was modern Italian popular music & it was playing at an ambient level of volume so as not to overpower the vivo dining experience . The food @ vivos is classic Italian & also some modern takes Vivo style !! , which are prepared by the highly skilled Vivo chefs , who can be seen working Their magic in the open view chefs cooking station which is a unique feature of the restaurant . The pizza here is a hand crafted variety & not a generic bought in base !! , so please don't expect a uniform mass produced style pizza , this is classic pizza & pizza done well !! . Vivos also do have an extensive varied menu that caters for most tastes , from pasta to meat & fish options , plus a Prezzo fisso menu for the early diner , which is a good value for money option . Vivos also has a good selection of alcoholic drinks & a good selection of Italian fruit soda's which are sensibly priced , I had the house wine upon my visit & it was of a very good standard ! , particularly the rosé which was very easy going & served well chilled . The staff/ owners are very welcoming , polite & friendly & always make your visit a special one . So if you like classic Italian food & good service , coupled with pleasant surroundings then vivos could be your next place visit . RECOMMEND PIZZA THE CLASSIC MARGHERITA , RECOMMEND LIQUOR THE CLASSIC STREGA !! traditional herbal liquor from Benevento , a must for the more adventurous drinkers !! .

Came here for a birthday meal night out. Everyone loved it. The vibe was lovely, food was delicious, price was reasonable and everybody left full and happy!

A fab local restaurant with excellent and attentive service. Had a New Year's lunch with my mum and sister here on 3rd Jan. Lunchtime menu is excellent value. Decent sized portions for 2 course options. Massimo and Alesandro are welcoming and funny. Lots of Italian banter across the dining room and it's a lovely welcoming atmosphere and GREAT for families with children too. Parking at rear and the bus stop is literally right outside the restaurant to Notts, Derby, Long Eaton/Sawley, Ilkeston etc so easily accessible if you want to make the most of the wine list too ;-) Definitely be back again soon with my family. Lovely food, fab service always have a great time !

Came here last night for my brothers birthday, one of the best ‘eating out’ experiences i’ve had in a long time. Food was fantastic and the staff we’re so friendly and even sang happy birthday to my brother 😂 got everyone singing, the two guys who own/run? the place made a real effort to make us feel welcome…..I cannot fault this place, will definitely be returning for future meals out 🙌 highly recommend….p.s. try the Calzone 👌 it’s spot on!

These guys are good as gold. Very welcoming and always remember their customers as every business should. I travel to the area frequently for work and always rotate into here for an evening meal once in a while. The food for the price and location is consistently good and as a lone diner I always feel in good company. I regularly bring new starters to the business here so they know a consistent place to dine with a warm welcoming atmosphere.

Tasty Italian food. I had the chicken with rosemary, olives and cherry tomatoes in a tomato sauce. My wife had the Margherita pizza. My wife and our friends also enjoyed a selection of ice cream and sorbet.

Vivo is the best Italian restaurant in the area and always one of the best restaurants in town. Always a warm welcome from Massimo and Alessandro. Amazing food and an especially good value Early Diner menu. It's so good you'll want dessert and coffee too.

Food was excellent, could not fault it. Really good value for money, service was extremely friendly and welcoming. The young boy helping out with service was very efficient and Massimo put a smile on our faces!

What a find! Genuinely welcoming staff, delicious food and great value. We had such a lovely 2 course meal from the lunchtime menu and Massimo was so attentive- nothing was too much trouble. Definitely would recommend!!

A first class experience from beginning to end. We were greeted with a smile and taken to our table, which was clean and nicely set out, in a modern setting. Everyone who served us was pleasant and attentive, but not overpowering. The food was well presented and just the right potions. Our meal, including drinks, was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again soon.

What a find! We are staying locally so took a stroll out looking for somewhere to eat and found Vivo. Vivo has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere which we really enjoyed. The food was delicious-I had sea bass and my husband had carbonara. We followed this with coffee and the chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse deserves a special mention- it had a beautiful silky texture, topped with orange and garnished with orange peel and mint leaf - wonderful! The food was beautifully presented, fresh, tasty and generous portion sizes. A really lovely experience!

Good place for family gatherings and to enjoy very tasty Italian food. The parking lot is small and parking can be difficult in the area. Prices are reasonable. Staff was friendly but it was a little chaotic.

We booked a 6.30 table for 2 a couple of weeks ago thinking that service and food would be better earlier in the evening. Wrong on both counts. The owner was irritable bordering rude after keeping us waiting while he stressed over the large party that arrived the same time as us. Despite there being 2 waitresses standing around and 2 bar staff he appeared to be determined to take all food orders and serve food himself. He gave the impression of being a very controlling man. When the food finally arrived it was lukewarm. The tarragon sauce didn't appear to have any tarragon in and the portion size of my friends ravioli was very small. It felt as though the chefs were trying to eek out the food that they had as otherwise there wouldn't have been enough for the large party as well as the other customers who were arriving. We had to wait around for someone to bring the card reader so we could pay the bill. Not a relaxing evening at all with unimpressive food. We won't be going there again

This is absolute must for a meal. Staff are wonderful. They did Birthday surprise for my friend. She was surprised to say the least. Thank you for a pleasant evening.

The wife and I came here randomly the other day. We've been before but not for at least 10 years. I fancied the steak but wasn't expecting much as I tend to go to steakhouse's for steak. All I can say is "wow". A huge lump of fillet cooked to perfection wrapped in an Italian ham with a cheese sauce and bowl of grilled vegetables. The combination was amazing and a bargain for the price. I'd go here again just for steak. The service was great too, very polite and couldn't do enough.

We had the table in the window which for 7 people as Saturday night walk in was ok but lacked the atmosphere of the main restaurant. Pizza and pasta were ok but the one who ordered the ravioli got a kids portion from lunchtime by the looks of it. The other dishes were a good size and looked freshly prepared.

Everything was bang on our party had 18 people in it and we all got our food at the same time (we did pre order but service was top notch)

The staff were all so friendly and the service was phenomenonal and the food was delivered quickly. The menu was kind if limited, only 2 veggie pasta options. Good dessert selection though. I did enjoy my experience here ! And the prices were very reasonable too for the food, but the drinks were very spenny, a glass of wine being around £7.

Extremely overpriced pasta, very keen to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible, lacks any kind of atmosphere, probably better to get Italian food from supermarket

Good value set menu at lunch time, with lots of choices. Very tasty food and friendly and attentive staff. Very large space, so great for groups and events, but might seem a bit odd if sat in the main area with not many people present. We were on the single table to the left of the entrance, though, which is very cozy and almost like being in a separate private dining room! 🙂

The starter was so small it was one bite big. Main was a small piece of chicken with some source on it. Veg and chips extra. Not be going back.

I took my fiancé and children here for a birthday meal. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff very friendly. We were made very welcome. My fiancé recieved a complimentary dessert for her birthday. Definitely will recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.

Staff are super friendly and the lunch menu was great. If you don't have the calzone, you're missing out. Only fools don't have calzones, they're the food of the gods.

First time visiting this place, it looks lovely and has a really nice atmosphere. Sadly the food was extremely disappointing, the portions were small and flavourless.

Returned here last month after visiting a few years back. Excellent value for money, very tasty, fresh food and good service. Nice, clean, modern and 'authentic feel' Italian restaurant.

Really good place, nice vibe with Italian radio, quality food and drinks, nice customer service.

Great service and the food was cooked to perfection. Also had a good wine selection and beers on tap. We all gasped as we saw Calzones going to another table so I know what I'm having next time.
