Amazing little tea room with so many vintage trinkets to look at whilst enjoying a scrumptious afternoon tea and great cocktails too! Whilst we were there there was a great pianist playing which made it even more special. He is not there everyday so check if you want to be there when he plays. Nothing is too much for Fay - lovely owner of Lindy Lou. Goes out her way to make your visit comfortable. Definitely worth a visit!

Cosy little spot just by the river, definitely a hidden gem. From the outside you would never have guessed you’d be walking into a Time Machine! Tea cups hanging from the ceiling and 1940 memorabilia surrounding you, it’s hard not to feel like you’ve taken a step back in time. The menu was bursting with choice from a large tea selection to cakes and cocktails galore. Besides the visible theme the food was delicious and staff were exceptional, would recommend to anyone who wants to experience a delicious afternoon tea and a reasonable price

My friend took me for a afternoon tea a treat for my birthday , I fell in love with the decor it was beautiful and so cosy and I loved the trip back it Time everything was so pretty, the food tasted amazing all home made and you could tell, so many tasty sandwiches to choose from , somthing for everyone, the cakes tasted as good as they looked , the homemade fruit scones with jam and clotted cream were delicious, and the staff are so friendly you feel so at home , relaxed and stress free, we got to speak to one of the owners a lovely lady who really made our experience even more special, nothing was too much trouble, very good value for money quality homemade food we can’t wait to go back , Angie C

Wow, what an amazing little tea room. The atmosphere was just like stepping back in time. Fay, the owner could not have been more helpful. My sister, a coeliac was overcome when her cream tea arrived, it looked every bit as good as ours, she said it’s the first time she didn’t feel the odd one out! We are holding our Mums wake here next week, honestly they could not have been more helpful. Our Mum, who would have been 94 today would have loved it. You must give it a try, but booking is essential.

Wonderful ambience a very unique venue in pleasant surroundings. However the afternoon tea was very disappointing. Sandwich fillings a bit sparse although the bread was nice and fresh. I hesitate to call the scones actual scones as they were very flat and more like a shortbread. I would have preferred to have a selection of several small pieces of cake instead of the huge piece of one cake which was rather dry. I hope this revue is helpful and is taken in the spirit it’s given as I would love to come back for the sheer ambience and hope that the afternoon tea will have improved.

Great sandwiches and cake! Served by Faye the owner who was lovely and couldn’t do enough to accommodate any needs we had. The cafe had a great pianist and took us back in time with lots of vintage chairs and accessories. A well needed few hours with my 92 year old Great Aunt and family. Will definitely return.

Have sent a lemon cake in a jar as a gift. Cakes are excellent and this is a fun idea. Gift card is bit expensive at £1.50 on top but no other option or recipient won't know who has sent it.

Not being able to see my sister during lockdown is hard. A cake jar in the post from Vintage Lindy Lou however, helped to ease the pain. What a lovely gift! My coconut and raspberry surprise was two servings of cake put into a jar with lashings of jammy creaminess, and truly was the best cake I have ever tasted. I couldn’t eat it quick enough! Fay ( the gorgeous owner) makes amazing cakes and sandwiches and has a beautiful tea room which I have missed visiting. When will lockdown end so I can return? If you’re thinking the same and missing Fay’s yummies, or you want to send something nice to a loved one, please order a cake jar. One for them and one for you! It’s very reasonably priced, it comes in a nice box, there’s an option to add a gift card and it’s sent via tracked postage. I’m so happy that Fay has diversified with these little beauties to help keep her business going through these tough times. I love this tea room. We go here for every family birthday and much more regularly if we can. The vegetarian choices are good, the variety of loose leaf teas amazing and the cakes are superb. The slices are a great size and the taste is always out of this world. I love the variety of the flavours. My sons (7 and 4) love this place and the staff are always very friendly and efficient. Can't recommend this enough.

Very large selection of lose leaf tea which we were very impressed with. Then have your pick of finger sandwiches so you could have all the same or 4 different ones. Then a choice of fruit or plain scones. Then a massive slice of cake of your choice out of about 7 or 8 cakes. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Good value for money. Gorgeously decorated. Attentive staff. I visited on a Saturday in October with 5 friends, it was very covid safe, I checked in when I arrived with the NHS app by scanning the QR codeI was seated at my bath tub seat straight away whilst waiting for my friends. I found the staff very friendly, we were given the menus to look through & then came back to take our order, the afternoon Tea each costs £19 I believe, however the sandwiches were a good size, 2 scones with jam & clotted cream & a big slice of cake and Unlimited tea. I paid for a blue smurf cocktail & when they brought it out the hat had dissolved, but they replaced it straight away. Nicely decorated in vintage decor, very cosy & makes you feel as though you can lose time in there. We were in there for hours, great place & will definitely visit again.

We booked, they have space for some unexpected visitors but the seating is reduced to allow for social distancing so better to be sure. We had the afternoon tea, it was wonderful. The only thing not baked on the premises is the bread; but talking of the sandwiches they were full of filling and you could choose. This must be the first time I've been given the choice of fillings at an afternoon tea and it made it so much nicer. The menu is extensive, catering for vegan and vegetarian too. The scones and cakes were amazing, so light and full of flavour. An amazing list of teas, we tried Russian Caravan tea - never even heard of it before!The staff were really friendly, professional and efficient. The decoration and atmosphere is very welcoming. Everything is personal, so unlike the chain coffee houses or even the hotels that offer tea and cakes (no Mr Kipling here!) - much nicer and can't wait to go back.

I have been to Vintage Lindy Lou Tea Rooms a few times and each time I haven't been disappointed. I haven't stopped recommending this incredible tea room. I have been with friends, my parents and my family and each time the service has been better and better. My son loves being a 'grown up', and the owner Fay has no issues with having children in her tea room. My advice (if you can) leave the pushchairs out side or in the car because space is limited but that doesn't take away from the atmosphere and wonderful setting created. But if do, ring in advance to give a little warning. Honestly, take some time out and visit this lovely tea room.

Dropped in while on The London Loop and what a hidden gem this place is. Found out that it's best to book in advance due to it being so popular. Lovely the 1940s decor and the staff were friendly. There was a range of beautiful homemade cakes and nice selection of teas.

I have been here a few times and love the quirky 1940 style all the waitresses dress in that style with old cups and saucers and teapots a great selection of teas and sandwiches also gorgeous cakes they even sang happy birthday to my wife.

We had a private baby shower for 25 of us and the lovely staff at Lindy Lou's could not have been better hosts. Very attentive serving delicious cakes and sandwiches. They also made a cake to our specification which was incredible. Thank you so much we will be returning again and again.

My family enjoyed a fantastic afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon, the food was amazing in fact the cakes were delicious and such a variety as well. The atmosphere was excellent and the decor matched that of a 1940’s establishment, truly achieving the desired effect. The staff could not of been more friendly and very attentive. I would thoroughly recommend this experience for a perfect treat for friends or family.

I have on many occasions popped in Tea Room for quite sit down with friends for afternoon tea , love Earl Grey (best ever) and amazing cakes ,Highly recommend ,staff are always happy and friendly and i love the atmosphere 10\10 ........

Food was lovely. Unfortunately customer care let them down. The tea shop was empty with four staff behind counter. They served the tea that was last we saw of them. Did not tell us what the cakes were we had on cake stand and they never returned to see if everything was ok or asked if we needed teapots replenished.

Taken me ages to visit this quaint tea room, glad I've now got round to it. My partner enjoyed a lovely cream tea (warm scones) and I was tempted by the vast array of cakes (all made on the premises). I eventually chose lemon cake and it was delicious. A group of ladies came in for afternoon tea and were given so much choice and attention to detail. The staff looked fabulous in costume and the young gentleman who served us was very nice and polite. Great menu will definitely tempt me back. Lots of vintage memorabilia decorated the facility.

I’ve been to quite a few afternoon teas but this place is my favourite!!! The food was delicious, all freshly made and getting your own individual tower of cakes and sandwiches meant you didn’t leave hungry! The presentation was spot on too. We held my friends baby shower here so there were almost 20 of us and the setting was just perfect for a lovely relaxing afternoon. The owner and staff were really helpful and made sure we had a lovely afternoon. I will definitely be going back soon and can’t recommend it enough.

Tried to eat here twice while we have been walking the London loop. First time they were shut, second time we checked carefully that they would be open, no website, but checked Facebook page. Having travelled for 2 hours to get here, we walked in to be told that we couldn’t eat because they were closing in 20 minutes for a private function. They said go to the Blue Flower coffee up the hill. Got there to discover this was shut on a Sunday. Will not be going back again!

I organised a tea party for mum for her 90th birthday. We had the whole tea room for 2 hours last Saturday afternoon . We all had afternoon tea. It was so wonderful,everyone enjoyed the beautiful sandwiches scones and mini cakes etc. We were 30 people family friends and children. We had plenty of room to move around to talk to each other . The staff are so friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. They made mum an amazing cake. Can’t recommend it enough so good.

I visited Lindy’s recently with friends and on the off chance I asked if you can purchase cakes for parties etc. For an upcoming birthday. To my delight you can, and I ordered it just two weeks in advance. Even though the team had a huge event to prepare for the day after we required the cake they were kind enough to still do it for us (thank you thank you!). I sent an image of the design I was after but what they produced for me went above and beyond what I asked for, adding so much more detail and little intricacies. Everyone commented on how stunning it was, and the smell was divine (I didn’t realise a vanilla cake could smell so good), not to mention the taste. I cannot thank Fay and the rest of the team enough it really was perfect - plus the tearoom is lovely and quaint so I’ll be back when I want just a single slice of delicious cake soon! Thank you

We had a fantastic afternoon tea today. Lovely fresh sandwiches, with a good choice of fillings, delicious homemade scones and a nice selection of mini cakes. The eclectic mix of furniture and crockery only add to the charm of this wonderful little gem. The 40's swing music and memorabilia help to create a chilled atmosphere.

Took a friend here last Friday for her Retirement Tea. We chose the Opulent Tea and we both thought it was excellent. The Owner was super nice as were the rest of the staff. Lovely homemade cakes, 40’s ambience. All in all, smashing place and food. We will return.

I hired Lindy Lou's Vintage Tea Room in Crayford for a private event - my Mum's 70th birthday party. They let me link up to their sound system and play my own music and put up banners and balloons and they provided outstanding service and the food was to die for.

A friend if my daughter took us here today . Lovely interior with loads of charm handknitted blankets. The selection of food amazing I had a panini and my daughter had a finger sandwiches. The whole experience great ,food great ad well.

We went for afternoon tea here today - what a hidden gem! Really good value for money and big portion sizes with unlimited tea and coffee. You can choose your sandwiches and cake from the menu to suit your taste. The layout is all vintage memorabilia, so felt like we had gone back in time. The service we received was excellent. I came here with my friends yesterday and we all enjoyed the most delicious afternoon tea...and it was vegan which truly was the icing on the cake! Great tasting cakes, generous portions and a really lovely vintage vibe! We'll definitely be back!

What a lovely hidden gem. For £12.50 you can have unlimited tea of your choice, sandwich with filling on either brown or white bread, fruit or plain scone with jam and clotted cream and a slice of cake of your choice. This is my 2nd visit, the first time round I had the vanilla rainbow cake and this time the Vegan Oreo. The staff are friendly and are happy to top up your teas. Really lovely food and home made cakes, you wont find another tea room with this quality and price in the area.

We were recommended to try this tea room by a couple of friends of my wife. Its exterior is non-descript, though its situation is quite nice, next to the river Cray. It's a lovely place, with a wide range of teas and nice filtered coffee, and an impressive range of delicious cakes. I never guessed Crayford would boast a place like this but we will return many more times.

I have driven past this part of Crayford for years and - to my shame - never noticed the green oasis. Having been told of a place that has tea in bone china cups and homemade cakes, I had to visit. So glad I did. Quirky for sure, but who wants to go to a bland chain for tea + cake? First, it is locally owned + run. Second, the staff are young and eager. Third, the atmosphere is just so comfortable. Fourth, it is eco-friendly. Finally, the tea range is amazing - as are the cakes. Can't recommend it enough and I am going to be a regular. It is a small local business that deserves support. Invest in it and you will be rewarded.

Lived in Crayford nearly 5 years and walked past so many times but never really taken much notice of the building. This tea room is a real hidden gem, probably the cosiest, authetic & relaxed atmosphere, genuine and friendly service with a smile.

You need to book but it is worth the wait as its a lovely little place and its like sitting in the past .... I loved the uniforms and the staff are really nice. It was old fashioned and really nice and full of the past with a touch of the present time. I loved the ambience and it was very different to anywhere I have ever been. The food was great and it felt as if it was loved by the person who was preparing it. I would go again

Although unassuming from the exterior, once inside the fantastic vintage decor transports you to another era. They have a fantastic selection of food (cakes!) and afternoon tea's, which were very tasty, and the service was excellent-I especially loved how they give young people the opportunity for work and real world experience. Would recommend and will go back for sure!

Went to Vintage Lindy Lou's with friends. From the minute I walked in I could see how much care and detail has gone into the decor. I instantly felt relaxed,and walked into a cosy friendly feeling atmosphere.

We've been on a few times, since the cafe changed hands and love the food and the owner and her daughters are lovely. Only thing that let's it down for me, is the lack of coffee options. If you order a cappuccino, then it shouldn't really be a filter coffee on a teapot, with a little mug of milk. It was very cute but not what I'd ordered and I would have liked the opportunity to change my order, based on the availabile options. When I questioned it, I was told that this was how they served cappuccino and that they got rid of the coffee machine, as not enough people wanted that type of coffee. I did find this a little hard to believe but please don't let this put you off visiting, as it's a lovely place to spend an hour and have a bite. Just be aware that you won't get a barista style coffee.

Had a wonderful afternoon catch up with the ladies on Saturday. We were looked after by Fay, Ella and her team of girls. We all had a different slice of cake in fact one of our girls had a piece of two as we she couldn't resist!. Fabulous tea and cake. Soup is to die for! I visited on a Saturday lunchtime for a girlfriends birthday with a group of girlfriends. We couldn’t have wished for a cosier more atmospheric setting. Crocheted blankets hung on the back of armchairs, China tea plates adorned the walls and the place was full of friendly chitter chatter. The tea is a choice of full cream tea ie.sandwiches cakes and scones or pick and choose from the menu which was fully comprehensive and set out with individual prices. Perfect !! The list of tea available is amazing and the service very welcoming and friendly. Value for money is outstand8ng too. Top place !!

Took my elderly parents to Vintage Lindy Lou and ordered the Opulent Afternoon Tea. Absolutely wonderful. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and the scone with jam and cream was outstanding. My mum loves thus you place. Traditional 1940s, China tea cups and teapots! Lovely selection of home made cakes and freshly made sandwiches. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Traditional music as well.

New and improved tea room is amazing, you have to go. The food is fab and the customer service is even better!!

My friend and I visited Lindy Lou’s thus afternoon and had a lovely time. We ordered an opulent afternoon tea which at £16 was, I thought, very good value for money.

Visited the new and improved Lindy Lou’s in Crayford this week. You must go! The service and knowledge about the menu was second to none, gluten free?......no problem. All the food and cakes are prepared daily so all fresh. Go......you will NOT be disappointed 5*
