On a sunny day can't believe you're not really in Greece/Tirkey/Cyprus! Love this place ❤️

We always have a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff are excellent. Thank you Tommy !

We went with another couple on a Saturday to have the mezedes for 2, which I believe was around £35 a head. The Food: Amazing! Every course and dish cooked to perfection. Some things obviously weren't to my liking, but I still gave things a try etc. The Service: The waitress staff were smart, friendly and polite. My only negative would be that they were a little rushed, but I assume that was only due to the amount of people who were dining last night. (it was absolutely rammed) The Atmosphere: Electric! I believe there was 3 or 4 'parties' of people last night, 10+ people per group, plus quite a few of us small tables. The live music was great and set the scene perfectly. But when the tambourines came out, it was amazing! Probably not the level of noise an elderly couple on a romantic meal would like, but for us it was absolute heaven! 😂 To people worried about the noise, we were assured that it isn't normally that busy or loud there on a Saturday, but to be honest, it wasn't too bad at all. Just slightly difficult to have a conversation. So a massive thanks to the Village Taverna team, to the chefs, waiting staff, owner etc for an amazing night out. We will definitely be back!

Oh wow 1st time here and we had a FAB night on Saturday! Tommy front of house was lovely and made sure we were happy all night also joined in dancing with us! We had two waitresses who were quick and also lovely. Meze was delicious and the keyboard player was great! He played all night and had everyone singing😁we will defo be back soon thanks so much for a great night out!!!!

Highly recommend! The owner makes you feel welcome and adds to the atmosphere. All staff are amazing and attentive. The meze is amazing, great quality for money and worth it! Entertainment on a Saturday is authentic and makes you feel like you are in Greece! Ευχαριστώ πολύ x

Popped in whilst out on a walk. Food and service excellent. Also, good value for a nice dinner time meal. I suspect even better at night when more people are there . We are looking forward to going back.

Food very nice. Waitresses very attentive, if a little overly so. Great evening - particularly because of the 'live' music which gave the whole atmosphere an authentic feel. Many Greek songs performed along with a variety of well-known UK/US tunes (including Mysterious Girl!) Tambourines handed out to make it a really interactive experience! Recommended

Brilliant food and well presented, the staff were fun and polite and made you feel really welcome. Great entertainment it made my birthday so special. Would definitely return again

What a restaurant! Absolutely amazing food and such a fabulous atmosphere. The Meze is just awesome! So much food all of it delicious. Tommy and the team were great. Not cheap but you pay for what you get and it's well worth it.

Great find - sat outside, weather was lovely, owner, Tommy is a real character, the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Will be returning for one of their live music nights at weekends!

The inside restaurant was empty on a Sunday lunch but despite asking if we could move to another table that wasn't under a loud speaker our request was denied. We asked for it to be turned down 3 times, and the table was cramped. They had reserved on all tables with no one else entering. The waitress told us the fish came with nothing else. She thought so I asked if she could check as she was unsure and she was wrong. Had chips. We had 3 starters. No garnish of any sort not even an olive on the taramasalata which was 5 pounds for a tablespoon. My fish was cooked well, and so were all main meals but again lacked a garnish . I thought the bill quite high. 38 pounds each considering only one bottle of wine and 3 soft drinks.3 starters. I would not rush to back again.

Outstanding experience. Amazing and extremely delicious food, very friendly and cute waitresses who are very helpful and a very beautiful place to spend a night. Definitely one of my favorites ❤️

Great food and very attentive staff

Shocking service Friday night, as a table of 6 booked for 7.30pm, took over half a hour to even get a drink ordered and even then they wouldn't take our food order. We had to ask repeatedly which they took at 8.30pm, only to finally receive our main meal at 10.17pm! Kept apologising for being short staffed etc, but there was an abundance of waiting staff so guessing there must have only been 1 chef on! At least they took off service charge when asked to as being in the restaurant 2 hrs and 45 mins before receiving our main was hardly good service! Maybe if they are struggling to fulfil table orders don't take as many takeaway orders. Chicken kebab was quite bland and not much flavour when it did arrive. My first and last time here. Very disappointed.

Made the most of the warm evening, sat out the front enjoying a pinot and swordfish. Very enjoyable.

Amazing food and service. Something for everyone on the menu as there are so many options. The nicest meal I've had out in a long time!

We went there 25th August for lunch. It was a big disappointment for us. The atmosphere and staff were nice, but the food was not what we expected from a Greek restaurant. We had the calamari, which was tasteless and served without any sauce. Then we had the chicken kebab, which was dry and didn't seem to have been marinated at all. However, the worst disappointment was the mousakka, which was also tasteless and dry, with hardly any sauce. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Asim and Tommy looked after us from the minute we approached the restaurant. Service was prompt and fantastic. Staff were extremely friendly and the food was divine. It was very authentic and I recommend anybody to go here.

Food is ok but not the best authentic Greek I have had, owner drives you mad with his constant ‘wide boy’ attitude, should learn to leave guests alone to eat. Didn’t like the way he bullied his young staff….it’s a no no from me!

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night, live music and busy. not sure what it's like in the week , if u prefer a quiet night maybe try a weekday. Tommy and his staff couldn't do any more. Food and wine fantastic Will go again for sure

Friendly staff and lovely food. Quiet when we there but that was due to the time of day

It was a very hectic experience with young female staff wearing really short fitted skirts so was uncomfortable as a family when they were leaning and going up stairs. Staff could barely pronounce anything which was a shame and didn't know much about the menu. Food is okay, souvlakia pieces were very small and few, and prices are very high. I'd rather stick to greek restaurants around North London that are more traditional and you get better quality for your money. However their sea bass was amazing! Unfortunately wouldn't go back unless the food changed dramatically. Its a nice party ambience if that's what you're into but for a family meal I wouldn't truly recommend.

Tommy and his team of beautiful waitresses are so lovely and friendly. Attentive, friendly, chatty, with delicious authentic Greek food. Not the cheapest place but definitely well worth it.

We visited for lunch and we were very warmly welcomed by Tommy who introduced himself as the owner. The food was good but the service was a bit slow. However, Tommy apologised and gave us some delicious meatballs to snack on while waiting. If you’re looking for traditional Greek food and friendly staff this is a good option.

I won't be eating here again, normally when I eat out the first thing I do is to check how clean the toilets are, big mistake. Absolutely disgusting and the smells that come out of them are terrible. Makes you think if people wash their hands after use, especially the staff when handling food💩💩

Food was nice, tho dessert I ordered wasn't one I got. I know waiting staff are young girls, but need to know that when placing cutlery on the table don't touch bit that goes into the mouth.

Lovely meze....This is the best cypriot restaurant in London very friendly staff and the food is absolutely perfect and traditional....if you know what is Cypriot food you gone be amazed.....if you don't know what is Greekcypriot food and hospitality eat from Tesco's......we definitely go back as soon as possible

I went here with 10 family members, firstly the service was very poor. Over the phone the owner of this place said they have the best meze, fresh fish and great live entertainment this was promised but it was all a lie. The meze took a long time to come and when it did the meat was extremely dry. The ‘fresh fish’ was clearly not fresh and it was very chewy with little flavour, the octopus was burnt the prawns had little flavour and the texture was too soft and the calamari was not calamari it was just a squid head with little lines in it. The bill came to over £400 it was not worth it at all I would not recommend coming here. There was little space to move chairs off of different tables practically touching each other so no room to move.

My self and partner Shelley are regulars at this restaurant if you haven’t been here it’s your lost it’s the best place in ware too eat the food is fantastic don’t take my word try it and tell me any different it’s a real treasure don’t like to share but when some where is worth every penny and have a passion in food they present only fair too pick them up well done guys keep up the great work xxx jay & shell xxx

On this occasion I was here for a birthday party and the service was exceptional! Absolutely delicious food as always and the entertainment and atmosphere was so much fun.....brilliant!

We had a special family celebration lunch, thank you to Tommy and all the staff for making our afternoon a wonderful occasion. The food was amazing, and the Children’s chicken nuggets were delicious too.

Love it! First time dining in on a Saturday and it did not disappoint. Live music and sing-a-long with tambourines. Saturday nights here should be prescribed on the NHS as it's hard not to smile and be happy singing Sinatra with a light-up percussion instrument. Next time I go I'm taking my own, but can't decide whether to take claves or maracas.

I went on a Friday night. It was so much fun. The atmosphere was amazing. All the staff were sp friendly and the entertainment was great! The food was also delicious. Would highly recommend.

We booked our work Christmas dinner here… the waitress wore her puffer jacket all evening, the musician wore his coat and woolly hat too… over priced for what we received…once food was served, the service stopped… we had to find staff to order coffee and ask for dessert menu… we were asked to be quick if we wanted to order… it was 9.30. Sorry guys we won’t be back… you need to up your game

Great traditional Greek food, and extremely friendly staff who definitely know how to make you feel welcome. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I've already booked my next. We were here for our Christmas party last week and have to say the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, we felt like we had known them for years. The food was delicious and so much of it. All in all a brilliant evening. Thank you

Went with my husband. Friendly staff but food very basic. Lamb was on the chewy side. I didn’t want chips so asked for salad it was the tiniest salad I’ve ever seen. All I can say is very basic but they charge for more high end food that they don’t provide

Excellent all round. Small and because low ceiling, a bit noisy at times, but well worth a visit. The live music was a pleasant bonus.

Quite possibly the best hospitality we’ve had in a restaurant. The owner gave us the most wonderful welcome. Genuinely felt like we were on holiday. The kids absolutely loved the music. The portions were big and delicious. We’ll be back for sure. Thank you.

Best restaurant on Ware high street!! My partner and I have been here several times and always have the best time. The food is delicious and authentic, the staff are so kind and welcoming and the live music was on point. We love the atmosphere - defo recommend!

Went here for lunch for the first time on Sunday and really enjoyed it. Lovely little restaurant with both inside and outside dining options, very friendly welcoming staff, nice food, will return.

Yummy food, I had lamb & chicken kebab. Small portion size of salad and bread came out with no dips. From my experience there were lots of carbs not enough meat & salad.

I found this restaurant to be very friendly clean lovely atmosphere the only disappointment was I had to share my starter I thought it was for just me and to my surprise there wasn't much on the plate need to be a bit more more generous apart from that everything else was very good.

Food - Amazing, Atmosphere - Amazing, Staff - Absolutley Fantastic. This was as close to the perfect dining experience you could ask for. I will definitely be calling in again to this little gem of a restaurant.

You sometimes read about unicorn restaurants where the owner explains flavour, recommendations, culture, music and appreciation to the customers and this is exactly that. A delicious, fresh, juicy restaurant with outdoor seating bringing Greece to the streets of Ware. Fantastic attentive staff, cannot recommend enough!

Have very little vegetarian options. Veggie kebabs are obviously ‘bought in’ as restaurant cannot take aubergine off of the kebab and replace with anything else. Waited forever for main meal ( one of us just having Greek salad as only veggie options had aubergines in), when food arrived pork chops full of fat, other two said their Stifado was ok. Quite expensive and then got charged for food we did not have.

We went on the hottest day of the year sat outside felt like we was abroad . The waitresses and older waiter man where all great . It got really busy and food was very late some people left waiting a while ,the waitresses handled this really well . The food was amazing ... We had a fish platter such good quality , we also had the special where you got a taste of hot cold starters , fish and meat .. again was amazing ... Will definitely go back a taste of the med in ware ..

Not impressed with the waiting staff (miserable and not attentive) and the owner who will not listen to his customers. Food is mediocre. The sort of place you go to after a Greek holiday to recreate the felling but walk out deflated. Avoid it if you know what's good for you and your pocket.

Not impressed at all, booked table in advance and ended up by toilet, still eating starter when main meal arrived, staff never came near us at all during our meal, could have been seated elsewhere as our part of restaurant empty, won't be in a rush to return food very kebab shop.

What can I say. Had a fantastic time here last night. The food, staff & atmosphere were amazing. It was our first time visiting as our friends have been before & we were not disappointed. We were very well looked after & even played the tambourine! If you’re going on Fridays or Saturdays you will need to book as it gets busy, but service was very quick I cannot rate this restaurant more highly. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
