Village Takeaway in Liverpool

Many chippys by us have closed recently so I don't know if this has been taken over as it's quite like the old Fiveways. S&P ribs are lovely with lots of meat, chicken curry a little watery but tastes nice with proper chicken, not the overly soft stuff. SuiMai decent and special fried rice is tasty, not greasy, chips nice and crispy. Delivered early and hot. Would definitely give this place another go.

My chicken kebab is raw and pink. Other food is freezing after a 2 hour wait. Do not recommend eating here.

My daughter & I called in on Saturday evening & ordered a small fish dinner & sausage, chips & gravy. When we opened the bag of food, we discovered 2 large packages of chips, one container of chips with curry sauce, one pack of kebab meat & 3 pots of curry sauce. I rang the restaurant & were promised a delivery of replacement meals. After 45 minutes, I rang again as the replacement food hadn't arrived & were told 20 minutes. When it eventually arrived, we gave the original, incorrect order to the driver. Our meals were not actually freshly cooked replacements but seemed as if they'd been just been reheated. The chips were soggy, the batter on the fish rock hard & chewy, though my daughter's sausage was just about soggy. Fortunately, we don't live in locally (were visiting family) so will never have to use this establishment again. I would award no points, but that option isn't available.

We have only ever had nice food from here but my food tonight has put me off going here again ..my chicken fo o yung was cold and my chips were hard cold left over bits Not happy at all

Ordered at 6pm. Was delivered at 8pm. Apparently our order was sent to the wrong address and returned. Was told a fresh order would be delivered quickly. Rang back 30 mins later to be told it was on the way. Some of the food was missing and some was very cold. Some was fresh and hot. Oh dear! Think we’ll give it a miss in future

Avoid this place you have been warned!!!!!! Ordered 4 meals one turned up ! 5 minutes later the rest turned up (COLD) instead of 2 curry’s was given 2 barbacue sauce !!! When phoned was told we’re busy sorry we will send 2 curry’s!!! Mad , who runs this place trigger. Would never use again

Just got a kebab from this chippy , went in the bin Worst kebab I have ever tasted I was going to take it back but a friend said they have been told by a lot of people that the food is disgusting

This is the second time we have ordered from village takeaway Woolton. We waited 1hr and 10 mins after calling twice after the alloted 40 mins stated when we ordered my sons meal was missing chips. The food was luke warm the savoury cake was like papermache, the rice was the smallest portion I have ever been given from a takeaway nothing was seasoned or hot. Called the shop to be told again the manager doesn't have time to speak to me they could send out more rice but it would be an hr?!!!!!

Ordenado desde aquí alrededor de abril y fue una pesadilla. Recibimos el pedido equivocado y tuvimos que ir al chippy nosotros mismos para recoger un nuevo pedido, ya que querían darnos el pedido que le dieron a otra persona y volver a recoger. No Pero le dimos el beneficio de la duda ya que todo estaba en el aire en ese momento (Covid ect). Recientemente ordenamos de nuevo y, para nuestra sorpresa, algo estaba mal. . OTRA VEZ. Este chippy es una broma. Solía ser el mejor en Woolton hace unos años, literalmente no sé qué le ha pasado. La comida es asquerosa y se equivocan en las entregas a domicilio. El personal debe estar más atento al preparar la comida.No volveré aquí. Perdida de dinero.

La comida llegó 1 hora tarde, estaba muy fría, los llamé por teléfono y básicamente lo llamaron mentiroso. ¡Sin disculpas ni traté de arreglarlo! Me acaban de decir "envuélvalo de nuevo y el conductor volverá a buscarlo". Solicité un reembolso y me dijeron que lo resolviera con "solo comer" al final. ! Pura broma! ?

Do not go here absolutely crap, me and my mum both had the diarrhoea off the salt and pepper chicken and chips. Absolutely awful! I would rather eat cat food than this.

Decidí darme un capricho y ordené que me entregaran una comida para llevar. Nunca antes había probado la comida para llevar del pueblo, pero pensé en darle una oportunidad. Todo lo que puedo decir es que nunca había estado tan enferma, ¡simplemente no podía dejar de estar enferma! Lo único bueno era que las patatas fritas estaban calientes, pero al decir eso, no sabían a patatas fritas y no tenían ningún sabor excepto por el aceite en el que se cocinarían. ¡Nunca, nunca más!

Esperó casi tres horas por la comida. El curry estaba muy diluido, las patatas fritas no sabían a patatas fritas, el arroz era como bolas de piedra y las costillas no estaban a la barbacoa como pedimos, eran salsas recicladas, todas mezcladas y muy, muy saladas. Estoy denunciando este establecimiento y voy a cerrarlo. La comida no es apta para el consumo humano. La mía se fue directamente a la basura y me robaron 15. ¡Absolutamente disgustado de haber caído en la trampa de ordenar desde allí nuevamente cuando mi esposo me dijo lo mal que estaba todo el tiempo! Propietarios, renuncien mientras están por delante. Debería estar avergonzado de tomar el dinero de los clientes y entregar vómito.

NUNCA MÁS ordenado a las 5. Se estimó 15 partos 6. 35 en 6. 55 informaron que no habían llegado alimentos para que se les avisara con retraso y serían 8. 05; siguió revisando y a las 8. 03 dijo que la orden fue cancelada! Intenté sonar varias veces y recibí un mensaje de voz que decía que el correo de voz estaba lleno. No merece ni una estrella

Pedido a las 6. 20 pm la comida llegó a las 9. 10 pm después de estar en el auto de comida para llevar durante más de una hora, el papel en el que estaban mis papas estaba saturado, húmedo, congelado, las papas fritas, el pollo, el pimiento verde era horrible, la salsa de frijoles negros era como agua negra, insípida, el pollo con ajo y la basura insípida era el mismo comestible congelante en la parte superior olvidaron mis bebidas, que obtuve en efectivo a pesar de que pagué con mi tarjeta, lo que fue el resultado porque este chippy no completa su pedido hasta unos días después de su pedido, esto significa que no puede obtener un reembolsar hasta que estas astutas nueces lo pongan como completo, así que esperé quejándome y obtuve 20 de mis 25. 95 orden más 2. 70 para mis latas, así que todo el exponente al final me costó 3. 25 y ni siquiera valió la pena, la chica del teléfono es un trabajo horrible si quieres arriesgar este lugar, es mejor que tengas la paciencia de un santo sin papilas gustativas y sin sentido del olfato, por favor gasta tu dinero en otro lado y si después de un reembolso espera después de 2 días y habla solo para comer en el chat en vivo, estarán encantados de darte un reembolso como lo hicieron conmigo. La comida para llevar del pueblo está oficialmente terminada hasta que los nuevos propietarios se hagan cargo.

2 and a half hour wait for cold nasty food and to top off the horrendous decision to eat here there were items missing from the order. I asked for money back via the JE app which was declined as "they were busier than expected", if so be more realistic with your expected delivery times as this would give me an opportunity to cancel and look elsewere. I would honestly highly recommend a rustlers burger than eat at this shambles of a takeaway again.

Thought we would try this takeaway with a phone order. Phone answered abruptly and told to hold the line. Ten minutes later still no one spoke. Another customer lost and disappointed 😞

He utilizado este para llevar en varias ocasiones y les he dado el beneficio de la duda cuando la comida siempre ha sido entregada tarde.Esta noche, siendo el día de San Valentín, pedimos temprano (5: 50 pm) y a las 7: 30 todavía no fue entregado. Solo, comer llamó al restaurante y me dijeron que aún no habían preparado el pedido. Si el restaurante no puede hacer frente a los pedidos, entonces realmente no deberían aceptarlos. Esto es lo que hacen los demás. . . . aquellos con integridad.No los volveremos a utilizar.

I wanted a chicken kebab, but seeing how it works I decided I'll go somewhere else next time. (chicken kebab is not grilled chicken)

Cold, bland curry, fried rice awful, meat and potato pie - cardboard with mush inside, SPRING ROLLS had lost their spring ages ago, l Pale mushy undercooked, polystyrene trays ??? Environment please. Use other chippy in village next to Istanbul, much better.

This was the choice of takeaways the other night during my visit and I had battered sausages which with good old fashioned chipy chips was an excellent choice.

Disgusting Customer Service. We have spent a lot of money with Village Inn Woolton Liverpool 25. And there response was "we have a lot more customers who spend more than you do" Soup was watery Chips raw Salt and pepper ribs awful

Order food via hungry house and let's eat meals are incorrect! Cold and despite paying for delivery service drivers get off without giving you any change

Pedí la parrilla mixta. Olía gracioso. Bistec probado divertido, quemado y horrible. Bacon era en su mayoría gordo. La otra carne, ni siquiera sé de qué se trataba, era la cosa más repugnante que jamás hayas probado. Tuve una noche y lo escupí y lo puse todo en el contenedor

Visited this chippy Friday,driven past many times so thought I would give it a try.

Ordered food 6:30pm, rang several times, told food will be delivered 7:15pm,, rang again 7:45pm, attitude of person on phone poor, still waiting 8:10pm. Won't be using these again. Advise others not to either Food finally arrived, missing 1 meal.Tried ringing again, answer phone!! Warmed food and shared. Never use this place again.

We often order a banquet for two to be delivered and it is always lovely and plenty of it. We usually make a change I.e. Chips instead of boiled rice and it is never a problem for them

1 hour 50 minutes for delivery. I called and said my order has been 1 hour 40 minutes, the guy laughed and said ' what can I do honey, we are busy' food was warmed up, chips were brown and looked like they were days old. Taste was awful. Wouldn't order from here again!

waited almost 3 hours for the order. - ordered at 7pm - it came at 2145. I appreciate they are busy as it's a Friday night. too late to eat at that time - so a big waste of time. I would have cancelled if I knew it would take so long. the food from Village is usually nice - just a shame they don't staff appropriately for a busy night.

we ordered not long after 7 and the delivery time changed from 19:50 to 20:20, called up to chase at 20:30 to be told it was on its way with the driver, had to ring again as still waiting at 20:55, bare in mind we live less than 5 minutes drive away. The order arrived at 21:05 and it was absolutely freezing cold, the donner meat was crusty n the pitta bread was rock hard. won't ever be ordering from here again. shocking!

Chips are still anaemic otherwise the food is lovely especially the fish.

Placed my order at 8.05pm it's 9.50pm! and it's still not here delivery driver only just left they said so it's going to be longer than 2 hours after I ordered it am not happy one bit with this service . It normally takes 20 minutes max over 2 hours is a joke . Very annoyed 😒

La chica de la distancia [Steph] era extremadamente grosero, y le dijo que fue entregada a mi casa por error! ! Mi hija había pedido una pizza, este hombre esperó 2 horas! Para su comida! ! Mi hija llamó y la chica, Steph, era extremadamente grosero, nos están pidiendo de ellos nunca otra vez! ! Yo le aconsejo que no también.

Arrived eventually. Unfortunately a whole meal missing (3x sausages and a portion of chips.) some stuff had to be reheated. Have ordered many meals from the Village Takeaway, will think twice before doing it again. Also order was accepted at 7.11 pm and dint arrive until 9.10. If the delay is that long we should be given the option to cancel.

Very nice chinese if and wen you get your food delivered.I phoned up the place in total 22 times and was constantly met with engaged tone. Gave up in the end after 2 hours which was an hour over theretime delivery slot. We drove to another chippy for food. Shame as very good food . But I wont be using this place again. Sue.

waited 2 hours for food. totally understand shop is busy on the weekend but 2 hours was poor. chips were hard and undercooked and sauce had a skin over it like it had been sat for ages.

Food was absolutely disgusting , chips where chewy and cold , fried rice was horrible and the salt and pepper Sui-mai tasted like plastic , very very unhappy as we have wasted money on this. not pleased.

Chicken fried rice - bland and nothing special but reasonable amount of chicken. £5.80 is not worth it. Very basic. Fried chicken - awful. Greasy and the most awful taste. Got binned. Didn't smell 'off' exactly but was quite a sickly gross taste and trust me I'm not fussy at all when it comes to fried chicken. Curry sauce - reasonable flavour (not watered down too much) but quite lumpy. Chips - just about cooked and quite greasy but bland as anything. Have had chicken kebab in the past and wasn't happy with the quality of the meat (sinewy and fatty thigh meat) but didn't order this time so can't comment as that was last year.

This chippy is going downhill, I am usually a regular but lately the food is not up to standards and I keep getting wrong food items and the chippy isnt wanting to correct it. Only good thing was it took 15 mins to get to me. Please village sort it out

Disappointed that an item was missing from the order especially as it's not the first time it's happened. It may only be prawn crackers to you but to my autistic son it's the highlight of his tea

Worst food I have every tasted. Chips were that greasy the paper was see through. Spring rolls cold and soggy and the sauce had spilt all over them. Sui mai were in a tub and the tub was half filled with what I can only describe as dish water. Ribs had hardly no meat at all on them. AVOID AVOID AVOID worst chippy around.
