Lovely meal ,we visited a week ago and all enjoyed our meals a lot . Pizza was very authentic and just like Italy, pasta very tasty and all served piping hot .staff were attentive without being over the top .All our party enjoyed their meal and we’d definitely return when in the area We would recommend this place .

I have been several times without issue. However tonight I ordered my fave a Calzone pizza. It arrived quite quickly but the top edge was burnt, on looking underneath the base was very burnt, and very black. The witness asked if everything ok and I told and showed her the burnt pizza. Response "I'll tell the chef". No replacement came. Very disappointed. Half inedible.

Clean, normal accommodation at a good price near Penrith town centre. The area is easily accessible from here. The owner is kind and helpful.

Fantastic Italian food and wine. Leave space for the delicious and generous desserts. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Currently on night 2/3 and I cannot fault. The staff are attentive and very welcoming. The rooms are clean and charming with the period property and the food in the restaurant (evening meal) is phenomenal. Would return without hesitation. The only downside is Penrith parking which can’t be helped.

A last minute reservation for my wife and myself. Ambience was nice, not too warm, and very clean. Food choice was excellent. The food itself was freshly cooked, very tasty and good portion size without being overwhelming. Dessert was lovely! Service was cheerful and prompt. I highly recommend this restaurant although an earlier booking is recommended. We were lucky as we needed an early meal.

A real family restaurant. Very good service, excellent food; good choice of wine. We were just passing through Penrith, but most customers seemed local. Definitely recommend for a good Italian meal.

First time I have been here, we were a party of 7, didn't start well when they couldn't find our booking but they had a table free (it might have been the one we booked, who knows ?). I must say the food was excellent and I will return at some point to try some of the other dishes. Recommended

Excellent food with a warm welcoming friendly tentative atmosphere and service. Highly recommended . I didn't stay so unable to comment on the accommodation. But I would consider staying here next time instead of the disappointing Premier inn.

On rather short notice a large order of pizzas and garlic bread for takeaway was no trouble at all for this Restaurant.Nine pizzas in all. All the family were delighted with the quality of the product .Thank you and will now be back in future .Very pleasant interaction when ordering and service with a smile when collecting.

Despite it being totally full already from people booked in (30th December 2022), they did manage to squeeze our table for three in - we we're staying locally after visiting relatives. Great prices for superb food and a nice atmosphere. We chose two types of Pasta and a Pizza and all good followed by lovely deserts. Will book next time to ensure we get in.

we visited here in July but when we were in the area again in October made sure I made a booking here. So glad made a booking as they had no room for walk ins. It is the best italian restaurant I have been to. Service, food and atmosphere excellent. From what I could gather there were a lot of locals eating here so that is a really good sign. I had pasta dishes both times I visited and were both absolutely delicious - only a few ingredients but proves you don't need loads of ingredients for a dish to be perfect. Other half had the lamb dish both times as he said it was so delicious. Its a shame we stay so far away as i would be eating in here all the time

Had a great stay for just 1 night. Perfectly positioned for a night out in the town centre. A nice warm welcome from the owner, and the room was nicely pre-warmed before check-in as it was -3 outside. Room very clean, nice powerful shower. Overall, excellent.

Beautiful food Visited Wednesday evening , I was shocked to see how busy it was for midweek thankfully we’d booked Food was lovely , service was attentive without being intrusive which is how it should be . We managed a desert as well and this was delicious . We Will be returning soon for sure , can’t believe I’d never eaten here before .

Great food, quick service and great atmosphere and polite staff

We ate here on two nights whilst staying in the hotel (see separate review for the hotel) and were pleasantly surprised as the hotel was only average. This comes as close to an "authentic" Italian restaurant as you as you are likely to find in a small town in the UK. We stuck mainly to the standards - pizza and pasta - which were very good. The service was fine and we liked the fact that they had a bar where you could enjoy a pre-dinner drink.

Lasagna was served frozen in the middle! Standard of food average. Very disappointed as was looking forward to meal. Wouldn't visit again.

Really enjoyed our meal here on a one night stop in the town. A good and varied menu, busy atmosphere and friendly, hard working staff made a good evening. My seafood rissotto was probably the best I've had anywhere.

Massively positive place. The owners are ridiculously helpful at all times. There is a restaurant downstairs which is lovely - they do massive pizzas - see my photo. Rooms are functional and very good value for money. Very comfy beds, electric shower and tea and coffee provided in the room. Parking is available 4 min walk away, quite literally not really even that. It is £5 for 10 hours so pretty much £5 a day you can stop outside and upload the car with ease. Parking is in bluebell car park. Breakfast is available - great quality. We had offers of fruit yoghurt and then cooked breakfast as well. It is served 0800-0900. Coffee was also greattttt quality - and I like my coffee!

Clean, very friendly staff [all of them from boss down which is so rare] great food, reasonably priced, everything you want from an Italian restaurant. We walked in without a booking at 8pm on Saturday night and they squeezed us in with a smile.

Good traditional Italian cuisine.

No glasses in the bedroom , only one bath towel for two people , floors all creak room was above the kitchen and you could here freezer and fridge all night and people working in the kitchen when it was open the breakfast was very good.

There was a crack in the bath panel and some dust on the bathroom light, but other than that the room was nice and it was close enough to local amenities. Would definitely stay again.

A last minute search for an overnight stop turned up this place. Big mistake. A pokey back bedroom and a pricey restaurant meal the size of a pot-noodle (but tastier). And a car parking nightmare forcing an early - but relieved - departure.

Great service, very friendly staff. We arrived early for our booking, before the restaurant opened but they let us in out of the rain which was great. Food was lovely.

A lovely authentic Italian restaurant with helpful, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We were recommended to this restaurant by our b&b hosts and, wow, were we grateful for that. The food was delicious and we had a great evening - although the 16” pizza was a tough one even for my day long hunger. Also had a craft Sicilian beer which was very nice. A visit is highly recommended.

Stayed 1 night on a c2c route. Staff where really friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was good but the evening meal was amazing. I had the villa bianca 12" pizza and it was great and the desert was great too and very well presented. The storage of our bikes was an issue but we resolved it.

Good Quality Italian, Nice Food, Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices, not quite as good as other Italians I've eaten in, but I would recommend if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. would have been nice to see staff wearing masks as in some other places. Ordered takeaway pizzas (did not stay or dine inside so review does not apply to that). Takeaway pizzas, were genuinely the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. Some slices were completely void of cheese. The garlic and cheese pizza neither tasted of garlic nor of cheese. We don't know what happened. Maybe we happened to order on a bad day. Maybe they decided to give the cheese, chef and pizza oven a day off. What we do know... Is that we freaking love cheese on our pizzas. Which we did not get. Staff were friendly.

Have visited this restaurant both pre and post covid. It has never disappointed. Food is delicious and well portioned. Staff are down to earth, friendly and patient. Couldn't ask for more
