The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with nostalgic decorations and the staff were very friendly. What made the experience even more interesting was when the owner came to our table to ask if we enjoyed the food. Before coming to the restaurant, I had read about her inspiring life story. For starters, we ordered Vietnamese spring rolls which were delicious. For the main course, we had the Vietnamese Braised Beef and fried noodles which were also tasty, but the Kung Pao chicken was too spicy for my liking.

We decided to visit vietnames restourant with a family and we,really like the food, the athmospher especially the hospitality of the owner is outstanding . I really love to come back again and again .

What a fabulous restaurant! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. All food is made to order, which is why service may be somewhat slow on occasion, but honestly the food is so worth the wait! I highly recommend the Sichuan chicken! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and in a lovely location! I really recommend this establishment if you’re a fan of Asian cuisine.

This has gone through changes over the years but the refurbishment and menu change has made it even better. Fantastic food, excellent service. The spicy food is properly spicy, the hot and sour soup will make you sweat. Good range of vegetarian and vegan options

Super slow service. Didn’t taste Vietnamese at all (other than the summer rolls) All food was heavily cooked in oil, which is generally the opposite of how it is usually cooked. Veggie soup cooked with meat broth, so be careful So disappointed as we travelled over half an hr to get to the restaurant

The restaurant is nicely decorated. However I will not go again. I went with my partner and ordered two pho- dont know why they dont write ‘pho’ but used a very lenghty name ‘authentic vietnamness rice noodle soup’, and one roasted coffee under their hot drinks session (see menu as attached). Lets talk about the pho first as it is easier. The stock is so thin and not ‘authentic’ at all I’d say. It is like water adding a bit of shop-buy stock. Anyway.. it doesnt taste bad.. but one would expect something much better in a viet restaurant. I was very sure that I ordered One coffee because I literally said ‘one’. End up they came with two cold roasted coffee. The waitress said that we did order two (!!?) and roasted coffee is meant to be cold. I show her the menu and she said the menu has mistake. She did offer to change to hot but I can sense her unwillingness so I didnt. Especially she thought it was my mistake. I dont think they are honest and the food is not good enough for me to go back. I dont recommend.

Visited here the other day with friends and really enjoyed the food! The duck pancakes were so tasty and so were the udon noodles. The waitress was very polite and attentive and the decor inside was so nice. Would definitely recommend!

Came here with friends and was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the food was. I had the bang bang chicken and it was delicious, also loved the summer rolls and the crack fries. The boy that served us was very polite and was helpful with recommendations on the menu. Would definitely come back again to try more stuff on the menu!!!!

Really tasty food, warm welcome and service

Slow service, sat for 15 minutes before offering us a drink or taking our order. Food was great for some dishes, average and awful. I wouldn’t go back.

Firstly, sort the menu out. The online menu and the in house menu are completely different. Chicken skewers were described online as satay and this was confirmed by the server. They were not. Very disappointing. Bang bang chicken. Not sure what’s bang bang about it. Described as chicken in a coconut sauce. Arrived as a bushtucker trial giraffe tongue looking collection of meats in a sticky broth. However, the meat had a nice taste, just had to push the bowl away due to the stench of the broth. Clearly didn’t enjoy the food due to what was left on the plate but the server said nothing, didn’t even ask if we wanted to take anything home.

The Vietnam has recently reopened after a MASSIVE refurb however, the food is as good if not better than ever! Amazing atmosphere… delicious food and a very warm welcome! Dawn, the owner, could not be more welcoming and friendly and will talk you through the menu if you’re unsure… go there.. you will not be disappointed!

Half decent. Kimchi beef starter was banging. Pho is called authentic Vietnamese soup, why not just call it pho? Broth was thin, not much aromatics or garnish and thin rice noodles like in paper rolls which not a fan of. Rice paper rolls served with hoisin? Where’s the Nouc Cham fam. Not exactly what I’m looking for tbh

Outstanding food, seriously good! My Kimchi Beef starter were delicious! Great service and friendly, attentive staff (without being intrusive). Cool and vibrant atmosphere. Recently fully refurbished and it's really nice. A few nods to the Robin Williams movie dotted about too, but not over the top and tastefully done. We called earlier that same day for an 8pm table and it was nicely busy. Booking ahead is highly recommended!

I’m Vietnamese, and I’ve been trying to find a Vietnamese restaurant to eat at. Then I found the Vietnam restaurant. I had a bowl of Pho Bo, and it was decent, not anything too special. If you want to taste an actual Vietnamese cuisine, this isn’t the place. But if you want to tryout the cuisine, it’s not a bad place to start.

The restaurant was packed and buzzing. We were lucky to get a table so I would advise booking. The food was amazing and the portions generous - to the point we had to take some home. I chose kimchi beef lettuce rolls and crack fries, both are starters but are enough for a main. The beef, kimchi, beansprouts were amazing, the complexity of taste and texture was lovely. The crack fries were perfect, they had a beautiful heat and spice to them and were a perfect accompaniment to the kimchi beef rolls. The young man who served me was very polite and attentive and saw to my needs . The decor, omg, everything here is bespoke, gorgeous murals on the walls, amazing lights and atmosphere. I have to say that I'll most definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended.

Visited as a group of 5 for dinner. The decor is lovely and staff are very friendly. The food was excellent- we were all very impressed with our meals. Food and drinks were served really quickly. Can’t wait to visit again!

My partner and I waited a year for our favourite restaurant in Swansea to re-open and we were not disappointed. The food is always consistently fresh, delicious and healthy. Our visit following the re-do was perfect. It’s the most authentic and fresh Vietnamese restaurant. The owner is always so lovely and friendly, always coming out to talk to us. It makes the place welcoming and inviting. We love the remodel, beautiful decor. You can tell she takes pride in her work. Probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in Wales at the moment and we have tried most of them over the years. Food was excellent, I had chicken gyoza, spring rolls and crispy duck. Every dish was beautifully served and taste was so fresh and delicious. Definitely freshly cooked food! The interior in this restaurant is unique. We was very pleased with the wine list and selection of beers.The service was all that we could ask for. Waiters was all the time around and were very friendly and polite. We will be definitely back there soon!

We visited Vietnam this week. The restaurant was half full and a bit cold inside, with a few diners eating whilst still wearing their coats. No problem at this stage, since it wasn’t that cold really. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive and...

Make over not worked, service was worse than a 1 star, food substandard, tables crammed in meaning a member of my table had to move everytime someone wanted toilet or food being delivered. Refunded 1 main meal as it arrived after we all finished, starter was a mess, 2 soups delivered to 1 person, also refunded.

Tragic The waiting staff get a 5* for not walking out they were lovely apparently one of them didn’t even work there and was just visiting her pal. It’s not many times I’ve left restaurant hungry because of poor service. It took 35mins to get our drinks after ordering, after 80mins one main course turned up followed by two starters 10mins later. We had to find our own cutlery and napkins. At 95mins we gave up and went to the kebab house. Until they sort their Shi*t out avoid like the plague, there were at least five tables around us complaining about service, food, bills etc. A failure on every level which was a shame as they one meal that arrived tasted ok.

Don’t look like much but it’s a good meal out..

If you love Pho and live in Sth West Wales you actually have no alternative. Fortunately, the Pho Bo is excellent - as are all the other dishes - and the service both friendly and efficient. Decore is plain and simple, but that's definitely not a complaint. Indeed, my only complaint is that the Vietnam Restaurant in Uplands, Swansea is an hour and a half drive from where I live!

Our 2nd visit and it was even better than last time. It's under new ownership and Dao the new chef and owner has improved the quality of the food and is a wonderful host. Great value too.

Visited this place with my daughter and her boyfriend for their last meal in Swansea...to be honest it was recommended, what a beautifully hidden little gem this place was! I had two dishes hot chicken soup and the fried flat noodles with chicken...I like chicken and certainly wasn't disappointed. The owner couldn't do enough for us and we had a lengthy discussion about a piece of artwork hanging on a wall. It was a modern throw of a cherry blossom tree...had a lovely time there and when we go back to Swansea, we'll go again. Recommended

Amazing Vietnamese food. If you come over here you definitely must try the traditional street food soup Pho Bo. All the food is incredible and totally different to any other regular Chinese restaurant or takeaway.

First visit for lunch. Really enjoyed the mango salad - lovely spice and crunch. Prawn summer rolls were refreshing and the iced coffee was creamy and delicious. Partner enjoyed his rare beef pho, especially with a generous spoonful of chili oil. £36 all together. We'll be back for sure!

The low rating here is based on the price of this place. The food was fairly decent and tasty. I come from a place where Vietnamese food is plentiful and inexpensive. I could not locate a menu on their website, so I used the one that's posted on the Google listing, which DOES have reasonable prices listed. I budgeted £25 for a meal for 2, which should be plenty. I placed my order over the phone and was not told a total before hanging up, which isn't unusual for me. I ordered 2 Iced Vietnamese Coffees (listed at £2.50 each), 1 order of Meat Summer Rolls (listed at £6.50), 1 order of Grilled Pork with Vermicelli and Spring Rolls (listed at £5.50), and 1 order of Vietnamese Special Soup (listed at £8). The total, according to the menu shown on Google, is exactly £25. When I arrived to pick up the order I saw a sign saying "Today is only cash". Since I was unaware they only accept cash, I confirmed with the girl working there. Once again I didn't get an order total before I ran to the cash machine. I popped across the street, took out 30 quid, and returned within moments only to find out I didn't have enough money. Somehow the total for this order was £38.50!! A £13.50 difference!!! Having such sticker shock I said I would have to go back to the atm for more money. Before I did that I turned around to ask the girl to make sure she had the right order for me as it should've been about £25. I had my order with the prices written down on a notepad on my phone which I showed to her. She confirmed after looking at it that the order was correct and that they had raised their prices. I have to be honest, if they'd told me the total over the phone when I ordered I would have told them to forget about it. It's a real shame because I did enjoy the food, but it was 100% not worth these exorbitant prices! I fully understand that businesses have been forced to up their prices in the past two years, which I support, but that's just way too much. I cannot recommend and would not return unless their prices went back down to what they are on the menu listed on Google. It was fully my mistake for not asking the price either time, but I have certainly learned my lesson. They should really think about putting an updated menu on their actual website for people to find with the real prices.

This is a regular spot for me and it never disappoints. It’s a simple set up that provides tasty, quality food each time and has a great variety of meals . The pho (beef noodle soup) and the friendly staff keep me coming back time...
