TERRIBLE!! Ordered a rice and prawn dish. There we x2 prawns sliced in half (to make it x4 slices) and a plate full of bland veg and rice. Really rude service once highlighted and they make you pay before you get your food. Refused to subsidise or refund in any way, so ended up walking out after very rude service. Also, not authentic vietnamese cuisine. If you want to get ripped off and treated terribly, this is the place to go!

Authentic Vietnamese food. We have been going for so many years to this restaurant and the quality has been always consistent. There are a lot of different dishes to choose from. All of excellence quality without doubt. Personally, I love the homemade lemonade but there are different drinks if you prefer a free sugar option. We will keep going every Friday night.

Viet Baguette is an awesome culinary experience. Whenever the question arises of where to go for dinner, my mind always turns to Viet Baguette. We have been many times over the last two years, and can safely say it is one of the gems of Woolwich. We've tried something from each section of the menu, and it never seems to disappoint. A highlight personally is the bubble tea which comes in several refreshing flavours.

Ordered a takeaway vegan curry and vegetarian spring rolls. Can’t complain at all about the quality. It was very good indeed.

Only the baguette is nice , the rest is not good enough, not up to the quality. Kind of disappointed.

For the love of God, anybody that enjoys good food or Vietnamese food then please stay away from this place. HOW this place has good reviews is an absolute mystery. It is BAD. The spring rolls were pale and under cooked. Instead of being deep fried ( as they should ) these are obviously cooked in an oven and almost certainly came out of a freezer. The banh mi is dreadful. The bread almost certainly is cheap bread out of a freezer being dry and soggy and cotton wool like in texture. The pork was flabby with no flavour are seasoning. No pickled veg as is typical in a banh me. No chilli sauce or mayo ( as promised ) The veg wasn't at all fresh. I had to remove the mushy old cucumber slices. I could only eat half of this stuff. avoid this restaurant at all costs. This food is an insult to Vietnamese food and good food in general.

We love Viet baguette. The takeaway banh mih/ special baguette is incredible and has become a regular lunch treat for us. We've also sat in a few times and had a full meal, the garden at the back is cute. Staff are friendly and helpful, menu is delicious. Go!

Ordered some summer rolls for pick-up; they were prepared really fast and the lady on the door was very helpful and friendly. The summer rolls were fresh and flavoursome and came with a nice dipping sauce. The rolls themselves were quite large so good value for money, even though they're listed as a starter. I love Vietnamese food and I wasn't disappointed! I didn't sit in but the restaurant had a cosy atmosphere.

Really disappointed with the service for what was my first (and probably last) time ordering. Ordered for 7pm pickup, told will be ready in 5 mins so waited in the car. 7:10 go back in and told still not ready. 7:20 go back and ask for an update otherwise would like a refund which is what happened as they hadn’t started my order (ordered at 6:35) Apparently ticket machine was down. Please just be honest with your customers in future, had you told the truth at 7pm that you didn’t have my order, I would have happily waited. When you lie and waste people’s time it leaves a sour taste. Unfortunately I will order elsewhere next time, real shame.

Banh mis are absolutely fantastic - we are very lucky to have this place in Woolwich! Recommend for brilliant Vietnamese food at great prices.

It’s unusual that I give five stars but this place fully deserves it. I have actually reviewed over 150 different places on TripAdvisor but sadly they have failed to link my account. The food here is absolutely delightful with a gentle tasty blend of spices. The staff are attentive and kind and it is a genuinely lovely place to spend an hour or two with friends or even on your own. Absolutely delicious!

Visited for a takeout and the food was initially lovely... Until I discovered that this restaurant doesn’t seem to wash any of the salad leaf wrappings which accompany some menu items. I found insect eggs all over the lettuce. Which was horrifying, as I had already eaten a couple of leaves. This is major hygiene risk and needs remedying.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and am blown away every time. The food is so authentic, super tasty and everything is so fresh you can taste every spice/herb. It puts chain places like Pho to shame!

Great food at very reasonable prices; Pho and Spring Rolls are particular favourites. Lovely staff and a decent outside area round the back. Definitely a top recommend for the area.

Second time visiting here and second lovely meal. The service was great and the food was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again (when asking my dad what his highlight of London for the weekend was, his answer, the Vietnamese!) Would highly recommend the noodles with chicken, having read some bad reviews on Google I'd like to say the reviews are rubbish, the food was yummy and I highly recommend

Great Vietnamese food. I left Kingston recently, and with that I also left my favourite Vietnamese food stall. It’s nice to know that there’s a local Vietnamese place with authentic food around! We ordered the spicy baguette (I can’t remember the name) as a starter to share between two people. It was really good; we almost ordered another one. It wasn’t spicy however. I got the rice with pork (again, I can’t remember the name, sorry!) It consisted of rice, pork, fried egg, and one more side pork element. It was really good, and I enjoyed it a lot. I didn’t like the small side pork dish however. It tasted fishy. Pork in general didn’t taste as fresh as the chicken. My boyfriend got the one with the grilled chicken and spring rolls. I loved this one! It’s what I’d been craving but I’d decided to try something new. The chicken is amazing and I love the rice. The spring roll was soso. He wasn’t feeling it. I also had vanilla bubble tea; the strawberry one was out. The servers were polite and somewhat friendly. They weren’t rude. Overall, I’d definitely go again for the grilled chicken and baguette!

Después de escuchar cosas maravillosas sobre Viet Baguette, mi esposo y yo visitamos para un almuerzo rápido hoy y no nos decepcionó. Una gran cantidad de personas que cenan aquí eran asiáticas, lo que inmediatamente me hizo sentir cómodo acerca de la autenticidad de la cocina. Principalmente quería probar los rollitos de verano y pho. ¡MARAVILLOSO! Los rollos crujientes de carne están llenos de carne, no frijoles y son muy sabrosos, los rollos de verano de cerdo y gambas son muy frescos y la salsa de maní se combina perfectamente y es muy sabrosa. Mi marido tenía el chili de cerdo Banh Mi, que era muy sabroso y tuve el pho raro de carne de res que tiene el caldo de degustación más increíble y la carne de res rara en rodajas finas. ¡Como un cálido abrazo cálido! Acompañado de tés de burbujas adecuados (no los de sabor a jugo), esta es una joya escondida en Woolwich. Definitivamente regresaremos y correremos la voz sobre este lugar. El pan de mi marido era más sabroso pero curiosamente venía con una mezcla de salsa de soja. Así que me encantó el lugar, el servicio era encantador, volveré, pero tal vez intente algo más o solicite partes adicionales.

Servicio horrible. La actitud de los camareros fue grosera y atentos. Estaba más interesado en ver el partido de fútbol en la televisión que en atender a los clientes. My first real taste of Vietnamese style food. One of my sons had been here before when I suggested it as a future option during a previous trip to visit him. He was impressed enough to suggest we go with him for lunch on our next visit. Even though he warned us about portion sizes we were still impressed by how big they were. Especially given the very modest cost. We have assorted pancake rolls and steamed dumpling like starters which were all great. Even better were the Pho mains. A fragrant and tasty broth accompanied by a crisp and tasty selection of noodles, vegetables, meat, and herbs. If it was not so tasty I might have found it all too much to eat. If this was near me I would certainly be a regular visitor.

On entering Viet Baguette I found a good proportion of customers in there who would definitely know authentic Vietnamese cooking, so that was a good sign. I found myself a window table so I could enjoy this little bit of spring sunshine before the storms return, and ordered my lunch.

This is our second time and thoroughly enjoyed it...3 of us had 4 different dishes and we loved it. The summer rolls were fresh. The portions were generous.

First time Vietnamese for me and it was delicious! I had the spicy soup - lovely fresh ingredients and generous portions. Great value for money. Food was served quickly and service was spot on. Very friendly and relaxed restaurant ideal for an informal night out.

My colleague brought me here because she could not stop praising about it and wanted me to try and why not! Good food, friendly staff, great value for money , big portion and excellent service. The dishes arrived quickly and they are full of flavours and the coriander gives it the kick. Every mouthful is delicious and we cannot wait to return again !

Después de haber tenido la comida vietnamita adecuada antes de que yo no la comida. Comimos como dos parejas. Went here for dinner after reading great reviews. Service was poor, they forgot half the meals and the food was average. The Bun Cha (one of my favourites) was no where close to the real thing. Price was ok

Awesome food, authentic and full of flavour. I really can't recommend this enough. The Pho broth had great depth of flavour and wasn't overly salty as you often find. Will be a regular visitor when I am in London.

I love eating here. It's a regular place I eat in. The food is so fresh and tasty. Portions are large. The noodle soups are so tasty and I also enjoy the crispy pancake starter. The homemade lemonade is also worth having. It's a really nice place with a pretty bijoux back patio garden.

The restaurant is a 30 minute walk from tesco and located off a side street, excellent food and the owners always ,make us welcome, highly recommended!

We had been meaning to try here for a while as we live near Woolwich - and were not disappointed. We tried the noodle soups they do - they tasted very fresh & authentic. Good value for money - they were huge and we took them away at the end. An asset to Woolwich.

What a find! The food at this place is really superb, very authentic Vietnamese in a nice setting. I especially love their banh mi, very filling at an excellent price!

Als Vietnamese kann ich behaupten, dass die Erfahrung im Viet Baguette sehr gut war! Der Geruch im Restaurant hat mich sehr an meine Heimat erinnert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hat wie bei der Oma/Mutter geschmeckt. Ich kann sogar sagen, dass es das beste vietnamesische Essen außerhalb der Familie war! Sogar in Deutschland habe ich bisher(!) nicht so zufriedenstellend gegessen. Sowohl Pho, als auch Goi Cuon waren sehr authentisch. Leider hatte es gegen Abend keine Banh Mi mehr und konnte sie leider nicht testen. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dass es auch sehr gut schmeckt. Ich bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob das Restaurant Geschmacksverstärker (MSG) oder GMO verwendet. Ich hoffe nicht! Ein dickes Lob an das Restaurant, verbleibt so mit dem Service und der Qualität! PS: Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr das Getränk bereits anbietet, aber es wäre noch authentischer, wenn Ihr z.B. vietnamesischen Café (Cafe sua da) oder Chanh day noch zusätzlich anbietet ! :-)

Para encontrar un gran restaurante en Woolwich es un milagro de menor importancia, pero este lugar es fantástico. La comida es increíble y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Si eres vegetariano están de suerte el tofu frito con verduras y arroz es tan deliciosa y las porciones son generosas. ¡Me encanta!

This is a perfect neighbourhood restaurant. There's a warm, inviting atmosphere as you enter. You feel immediately relaxed. The food is simple, tasty and very fresh. The two of us ate very well for £30 including a bottle of house wine.

Woolwich has a number of decent eateries, in particular family run places with good, long-standing reputations that provide excellent food and at great value.

From now on this is another gem to add on our list of places to come and visit! Food was just fantastic and service lovely! We highly recommend it. Woolwich is getting better and better thanks to all these beautiful ethnic restaurants!

No es bendecido con Woolwich restaurantes buenos pero este lugar celebraría su propio en cualquier lugar. Comida fresca vietnamita. Tenía algunas brochetas de cerdo con ensalada y tortitas crujientes. Mi ofrecerle seguridades tenía pollo frito y sopa de fideos con carne, que eran estupendos. Servicio amable y rápido.

I last visited and reviewed Viet Baguette about 2 1/2 years ago. I visited again last week and found the experience just as fantastic as it was before - service was very attentive, the place was full at lunchtime and was buzzing with a good atmosphere. The food, oh the food... I dream of their Bun Ga Nuong, it's the best I've had and I have ordered this dish in various countries on a couple of different continents. It was so fresh and delicious, with the perfect amount of heat in the accompanying nuoc cham. The chicken was grilled to perfection - very juicy and tender with a bit of crunch on the outside. I can't recommend this highly enough. At £7.50, plus a lovely sour homemade lemonade to accompany it, this was my perfect lunch.

Excelente relación calidad-precio, tesoro escondido. Creo que tiene un menú muy diverso (puedes encontrar cosas aquí que no en otros restaurantes vietnamitas). Algunas de las entradas son del tamaño de los platos principales, así que cuando ordene el juez el tamaño por el precio, nos dieron un plato de cada y no podía comer nuestros platos principales! Super limpio y con personal simpático. Nos encanta. Reserve en fines de semana para evitar decepciones.

When I was living in Woolwich Arsenal I visited VB on numerous occasions, sometimes 3 times a week since my fiancé was Vietnamese and a bit partial to the odd Pho! I have visited a lot of Vietnamese joints in the UK and this place is up there with the best. The best Pho you can get without risking your life on the streets of Hanoi! The staff are always so friendly and the space is clean, calm and very relaxing. It’s worth making a small journey here if necessary and is a few minutes walk from the train or DSLR.

A clean and lovely place to dine but be aware it closes at 9pm. Service is quick and staff is kind and helpful. Best dish is the traditional baguettes. Soups are in the Northern Viet style (less spicy).

This continues to be a consistently good restaurant in woolwich. It is an unpretentious family run restaurant which serves freshly prepared Vietnamese food. Same owners remain (although not always on shift) and food consistently inexpensive and good. As a vegetarian, choices aren't extensive but I visit regularly and still enjoy 'Com Chay' (fried tofu, vegetables, rice), vegetarian 'Pho' (large bowl of clear soup with tofu, vegetables and noodles), tofu salad or the fried pancake starter dish which is way more filling than you imagine. Dishes are usually served with bunches of fresh thai basil and mint. The restaurant isn't located in the prettiest road but don't let that deter you. Atmosphere is casual, intimate with speedy friendly service. The restaurant attracts woolwich residents old and new. A mixing pot also reflected in the French influenced menu. No need to book, or dress up. Visit as you are and enjoy.

I used to live in Woolwich Arsenal Berkley development, part of my family still lives there. It was such a great place with lovely woman as a senior manager! Once the place got more regular clients, they changed the manager for an arrogant young man who was so rude and inadequate last time we visited, we actually decided to leave the place without finishing our lunch. Unfortunately, the standard of the food also plummeted. So disappointed and sad that one of the good places for locals is now gone:((

As a vietnamese mad vegetarian I'm always on the lookout for good quality Pho Chay (the veggie version of the classic usually made from beef stock). I was so impressed with the vegetarian pho at Viet Baguette. It was fresh, flavourful and rich with some of the best tofu I've ever eaten. The staff are super friendly and the energy of the restaurant is great. Don't miss a visit here if you're in the area.

First time here so we had a range of things - summer rolls, mushroom stuffed steamed rolls, caramelised pork stew amongst others.They were all tasty and good.It was the hottest day so we appreciated the fan!We'll go back!

Woolwich is full of fantastic great value little restaurants and Viet Baguette is somewhere we go back to again and again. The menu has lots of choice and the food is very well priced.The restaurant itself is lovely and very clean with a nice atmosphere. The service is great too, staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is always brought to the table quickly.My favourite dish has to be the caramelised pork stew, it comes with a huge portion of sticky rice, salad and pickled carrot mix, and is really yum. The summer rolls and pho bowls are also delicious. No alcohol but the iced lemon tea is very refreshing and matches well with the flavours in the main dishes.

Not located in a particularly nice area. But don't let that out you off. It's at the bottom of a parade of shops near General Gordon square. And to the left hand side of the large Tesco. The decor is shabby chic. But the baguettes ain't shabby. I ordered the Vietnam special which had pork liver pate and roast pork. The order was done quickly and it made tasty fare with the zing from coriander and the chillis cutting through the richness of the filling. It was suitable sustenance on an extremely hot day.

Great Vietnamese restaurant in Greenwich, great price also, my favourite always is bún thịt nướng and glass of mix juice. Really tasty good to go as well, good customer service, plus no service charge recommends for everyone want to try out Vietnamese foods.

Myself and a vegan girlfriend had a girlie catch up lunch here. Great atmosphere for a Thursday lunchtime without being too busy or noisy. Service was quick and polite while not being intrusive. My flat noodle soup with rare beef, meat ball and chicken was tasty and filling. Very authentic. The tofu steamed rice rolls and tofu and carrot salad went down a treat. All washed down with a fresh carrot & orange juice and a jasmine tea. I cannot wait to go back and work my way through the menu.

Ok so it's not situated in the best location and Its unlikely I would travel hear just to eat at this restaurant (although there is one in Kings Cross)But if like me you work locally then this us the place to eat, fantastic food at a reasonable priced.I had the Bun G Nuoug (grilled chicken with veg and rice noodles) £6.80 This was a very big plate of delicious food and with a drink it cost under £10. The perfect lunch. The staff are also friendly and if you don't mind the location it's well worth a visit.

We never knew about this place or Vietnamese baguettes before or friend made us some at home. That then lead to frantic hunts for these baguettes and phos. As luck would have it this place was close by and decided to try it. Best decision ever.Restaurant itself is bit dingy and run down, nothing really to write home about but the food is where they make it.All the dishes are delicious and prepared fast. Dessert ice creams are made inside the fruit; coconut ice cream comes in half a coconut, pineapple ice cream comes in a half pineapple and so on. You have to try them!Also, you can bring in your own alcohol, they only serve soft drinks there. The lemonade they make goes really well with rum.

I have not been to Vietnam but the cuisine here is how I imagine vietnese food to be. I loved the different salad leaves and flavours running through the food, very subtle. I have tired of Chinese food as often the sauces seem to be manufactured not home made so for me this restraurant is a great find. I was and still am unfamiliar with the dishes so it is an interesting meal out trying their menu and enjoying the new flavours and textures of Vietnamese food. The ambience is great to, lovely staff and a fab place to dine out.

This is our go-to place for Saturday Lunch. I normally have the grilled chicken or tofu which are brilliant. The restaurant is well decorated and has a very comfortable atmosphere. I have recommended this place to all my friends and family.

The food is fantastic. The pho is a masterpiece but any of the soups would be rated 5 star. I'm not Vietnamese but I imagine that the pho here is as close to traditional and authentic as you could get outside Vietnam. The staff are brilliant and the owners are dedicated , attentive and lovely. The environment is clean and well maintained and absolutely beautiful , quirky and attentively done. The Pho's in this place are to die for. Such an amazing, authentic little find in Woolwich Arsenal. So convenient to call ahead and collect on the way home. Eating in is also a pleasure. The ingredients are fresh and very tasty

I've never tried Vietnamese food prior to coming there so I was a bit sceptical whether I'd like the flavours. But the food turned out to be amazing! Had a Pho udon broth, and the combination of various spices was just perfect! Only been there once and it's already one of my favourite restaurants in Woolwich...

After discovering, Viet Baguette a few months ago, we've been there at least 6 times. Each time prior to this afternoon our experience has been exemplary. Good food, nice surroundings and a very good price. Now to my gripe. I ordered a Stir Fry Prawn and Vegetable dish, or should I say "Stir Fry Vegetable" dish? Upon receiving my meal, I was greeted with a measly portion of very small, very anaemic floppy prawns, which had been cut in half. in fact on first glance it looked as if they had been left off altogether. When raising this issue, first with a waiter and then with (what I assume) the owner's son, he informed me they were cut in half to clean them. Maybe he hadn't heard of deveining them? Again I raised the issue of there being a very stingy portion and now the (what I assume) owner to tell me, very rudely and abruptly that all prawn dishes come with 5 prawns. My issue here isn't entirely the food. My biggest issue is the dismissive attitude of the (I assume) owners and unwillingness to see to my grievance. To top it off, not one single member of staff asked how the food was, most probably as they could see I had a face like thunder, which unfortunately spoilt our lunch. After living in SE Asia for a number of years, it's hard to find a decent vietnamese restaurant in the area, which is a shame as I'll no longer go back after today.

Ordered chicken pho to takeaway, and it's probably the best pho I've had in London. Absolutely delicious!

I love the food there, only discovered it last year but I go at least once a week. I know the owner and she is very passionate about the food and takes a lot of pride in making the meals in this restaurant. Starters are amazing, I personally go for grilled chicken summer role or if you prefer vegetarian option then definitely go for bean curd vegetable crispy role, it comes with lovely sauce. For the main I always go for vegetarian pho but my boyfriend tried almost everything and it is all lovely.

Our 2nd visit to this hidden treasure. Very pretty decor with candles at all tables when it gets dark. Had 2 different types of viet rolls to start - very fresh and tasty. Main was Pho (very large portion, you get to add your own bean sprouts, extra fresh chilli, lemon and fresh thai basil) and caramalised pork with sticky rice. Staff very attentive and helpful - will bring some friends and visit again

Never disappoints. ..amazing food and polite service. Great value too. Highly recommend. Viet Baguette saved the day, and I was able to treat my friend to a splendid lunch, after being highly embarrassed at the appalling treatment we received at the nearby, awful, Cafe Deluxe in Griffin Rd.

My dad suggested this place after finding it on T.A. (he isn't local) and my husband and were skeptical as it was situated in Woolwich (next to Tesco). But we were very glad we went as it served superb food. We had Summer rolls, fried spring rolls and crispy tofu for starters followed by 2 Phos, a pepper pork stew and chicken and rice dish. Everyone was happy with their chosen dish and the lovely fresh ingredients. The only minor niggle was that the tables were a little sticky, however that didn't spoil the food experience. 3 starters, 4 mains and jasmine tea for £46. Can't wait to go again!
