Victoria Street Fish Bar in Derby

Came here to grab food after a night out, the food was lovely and service was very quick. Unfortunately I left my phone at our table. The owner was very lovely and rang my friend's phone the next morning. He reassured me that it was safe and I was able to collect it the same day. Thank you so much and I really appreciate all your help. We will be back again, hopefully being less drunk and forgetful.

Always good food when we’ve visited. Usually eat in as they have a couple of tables inside. Friendly service and freshly cooked food. Wide choice of kebabs and pizza and traditional fish and chips. We always go for the traditional stuff but the other food looks good. Very modern and clean looking place my favourite chippy in Derby at the moment 😋👍😀

Been several times, the service very good and the food is outstanding. Amazingly they are happy to cook fresh even for a small order. The place is always spotless and welcoming. Most importantly I will keep coming back, the best chip shop in the city centre, without doubt.

I ate at the fish bar yesterday. The food was properly and freshly cooked, hot and served on a plate with a knife and fork to eat it with. The price was very reasonable and the staff well mannered, cleanly turned out and helpful. It is near the colleges, but I was not out of place as a 50 plus year old guy. Fabulous, I'll be back.

Generally been ok with eating here in the past when been with friends - decent enough food after a night out. Popped in tonight by myself on the way home and the staff member tried to charge me more than the advertised price - but "relented" when I challenged him on this. I use quotation marks because this staff member then tried to short change me. Thankfully I'm was not drunk like this staff member must of thought I was to try and scam me like this! Not impressed by the lack of honesty and scamming nature so after a year of customer loyalty I think I need a new place to eat after a night out!

Nipped into to get some decent dinner as a few of my friends have used this place late night as the weekends before. The staff are really nice and the owner is great, i ate in and got a large portion on a plate with knife and fork. Got to be the best kebab ive had in many years with lovely fresh salad and both meats were amazing.

I ate here and really enjoyed it, freshly cooked and delicious. 5 stars without hesitation. I ate in, they have seating for about 15 to 20.

This place has just opened (in the old Subway place) and we popped in to get some fish and chips. The owner is Italian and has been a chef for a number of years and very friendly! They also have pizzas and lots on the menu and everything is a good price and you can eat in or takeaway and everything is spotless. Opening times: Lunch and evening We ordered cod and chips & pie and chips to take out. The cod was beautiful and fresh and the batter was delicious. The chips were the nicest and the Pukka pie was the usual good standard. We were also given a choice of a free cake too. This is our new takeaway in Derby and we will be back.
