Victoria Pub in Sedgemoor

I would give this place a miss if you're not local, the bar staff are rude, it takes forever to get served and the place is generally terribly organised. I've been a couple of times now and it gets worse each time, including New Years Eve which was a shambles. Won't be going back.

This pub is fantastic. The food is always consistent and the pub offers some great daily deals in the menu.Drink choices are vast and not expensive. There are various offers on those too and the staff are happy to let you know what these are when ordering.The service is always clean and all of the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful.

My family and i went in the Victoria pub for some food, never eaten in here so gave it a try, we all ordered different things off the menu, it was a monday so all most every thing on the menu was £5 or under, the food came out and it actually looked like the pictures on the menu, good start !! Really tasty, great chips and amazing onion rings, could have ate those till the cows came home, so pleased we tried it and the lady who served us was really prompt, polite, helpful and a breath off fresh air, would have had desert but we were late for an appointment.

We were invited here for Sunday lunch by our friends as they raved about it and wanted us to see for ourselves. Well it was excellent! Couldn’t have asked for more our friends were truly right. Staff were friendly and attentive and lunch was simple delicious. We will be back. Thank you.

We visited the Victoria on our last night in Burnham and wish we'd discovered it sooner. Great food at fabulous prices with really good deals every night. You can easily eat here for £5-£6 per head every night of the week so if you're on a budget it's ideal and there's no compromise on quality!

Called in for a couple of drinks one afternoon while staying in Burnham. The lager was good and cold. The lad behind the bar was pleasant and courteous. The food looked good, so we will try it on our next visit to Burnham.

Vape friendly. Vaping allowed inside, on low setting. Nice place if you like the smell of vape indoors when eating, I do not.

Absolutely amazing, by far the best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had that’s not been cooked at home 10 out of 10. Fantastic service and friendly staff. Highly recommended on a girls weekend break and made to feel like a local

Had a lovely meal ... warm welcome by the young lad .. had a curry and hunters chicken was lovely great prices and pudding chocolate cake ... amazing.. prices super as well xxxx

I really don't like rating a place so low, but when i have i normally will revisit at some other time to see if they have improved and it was just a bad day... This was my first visit though so going by first impressions.... It wasn't good!

Fantastic food great value for money.friendly atmosphere hard working bar staff .very busy monday steak for £5 wow very big menu specials on every day good selections of beers and ciders and wine .£20 for 2 steaks and a bottle of house wine unbeatable will.be back

Steaks were cooked to perfection. 5* meal. Friendly staff. Nice little place. Very clean. Had a nice vibe. This is by far best place to go for a meal or a drink in Burnham on Sea. We will definitely be visiting again.

We been using the Victoria Hotel, Burnham on sea for many years now and have eaten there often. For sometime now they have offered a Steak Meal Deal, which includes steak for two with all the trimmings and a bottle of house wine of your choise. They offer and extensive menu and when ever we eat there the food as been fantastic, well prepared and presented. I'd recommend visiting the venue if you like good home cooked food in freindly suroundings.

This was an excellent visit with the management catering for all our need. We were a party of 20 and all were served a meal of choice with no problems. Recommend to anyone.

Local pub good atmosphere but oh dear customer service does not exist in this place. You don’t look at people and smile , welcome greeting is almost non existence.Customer interaction is almost nil, If the Dunstable wasn’t so poor you would struggle.

they were ao helpfull nothing was to much trouble we stayed my husband and i in a loveley double room so clean and beds amazing so comfie they put my daughter and husband and two kids in a family room at the last minute and we were so graefull for that i would recommend this hotel as a 10 out of 10 also entertainment was great we will be back also landlord keeps a good pint thankyou guys well recommended susan games and family

There was 7 of us we all paid 5pounds the lass was amazing 3 people had the pie that also was great 3 had the small mixed grill we all had a job to get through it all well done to the chef and staff

We had never visited Burnham-On-Sea and had booked a hotel without a restaurant. We went out looking for an evening meal and came across the Victoria Hotel. We were warmly greeted by staff in this cozy pub and enjoyed an excellent fish & chips dinner. The dessert was fantastic and the proprietor, Shawn, stopped by our table for a lovely, welcoming chat. We were made to feel very much 'at home' and hope that we can return some day. Definitely recommended! Thank you, Shawn!

On visiting Burnham on sea looking for lunch we can across the Victoria hotel we had a warm welcome from the landlord,landlady and barmaid

Really enjoyed sunday lunch a couple of nice real ales on an overnight stay in Burnham - we went back in the evening and had a few more Real ales in the lounge as there was karaoke in the bar - not our scene - Very plesant staff both at lunchtime and in the evening - Well worth a Visit

Great pub in centre of town. Lovely home cooked food and Sunday roast is amazing! However you must book a table else you won’t get in. They have regular music, karaoke and bands. They also have a pool table and large screens for watching sport.

Had a superb burger chips and onion rings followed by treacle sponge pudding and drink with change out of a tenner 😊 first time I had visited but won't be the last x proper good pub grub at reasonable prices

What a difference a few years make, when we first visited this pub it was rundown in need of a chef poor service and not a great place at all. It is now the opposite refurbished, with excellent food and service, I would now recommend this pub to all individuals and families.

We had a steak special with a bottle of wine and were not disappointed. Steak cooked to perfection and liked the way the owner (?) asked us if everything was ok . Which it was !

Not somewhere I would recommend disinterested staff no idea how to speak to people. Ok if a local if not don’t bother

We eat at the Victoria fairly regularly and usually have the steak and wine deal which has always been excellent. Tonight had the sizzlers and really not impressed with either the food or service. Ordered the rump steak sizzler and was brought rump steak Frajita... to save waste agreed to keep the steak frajitas (which was really good) but with chips instead of wraps. By time chips came had eaten the steak!!! No apologies just shown that the order the kitchen had received was for frajitas not steak sizzler.... not my problem, staff should order the right meal! Second meal ordered was chicken frajitas... dreadful and not edible!!! 4 pieces dry cold chicken with dry tandoori powder on top...complained to young man who brought the meals who didn’t even bother to come back to us...left the food and eventually refunded money for chicken when complained again when they were collecting the plates..... completely missed the point. Had gone out for a meal together... one meal not eaten, the second ate the steak then the chips afterwards!!!! Would have been better staying in and cooking, if this was first visit definitely wouldn’t be going back!!

a friendly hotel, we only ate there , food was great excellent service, polite staff. it had a proper old pub feel to it that seems to be lacking nowadays. would have liked to go again but had to come home.

Love the pub and the food is great, having just moved to the area we want a nice local, needed to watch the football at the weekend as we hadn't got our TV up and running! Fabulous clientele, made friends straight off. Bar staff are very friendly and obliging.

Second time for us, this is a very friendly bar with great food & drink, including a very good breakfast, A great sports bar with very reasonably priced room, we will definitely be back.

Good beer, good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Easily the best pub in Burnham On Sea. Get in there this weekend to see many bands and enjoy the food festival. Live sports, pool table, darts boards and a choice of two bars within.

Popped in yesterday for a early tea great meal off the 2 for £10 menu .friendly staff lovely food and very clean bar.good selection of beers and ciders .theres a beer garden at the front of the bar this was very busy .thank you will be back soon

The pub was busy but that did not detract from the quality and friendliness of the service. The food was also very good.

A lovely pub with live entertainment. Atmosphere welcoming and warm. Service always with a smile. Always accommodating to local and national events. We'll with a visit with friends, family.

Came here for a Sunday meal with family can only say the best very friendly spotless clean and food hot and enjoyable thank you all .

We came here to eat on Sunday for the first time, late booking at 3pm, couldn't get in any earlier, good sign, they were really busy when we got there, looking after a large birthday table, we had to go to the bar to pay for the food up front, ok not the best as it's nicer to be able to just sit and be waited on, but heyho, only beef was left which isn't my meat for choice but went with it, the meal came quick very hot and very home cooked gravy was lovely, more veg than you can eat and the beef was proper tasty beef that cut easy with the knife, which was such a lovely surprise as I thought at £4.95 it's just going to be ok, we finished and throught shall we have a pudding but knowbody came so we left, as we were leaving the owner was just about to come over and take are order, but apart from having a few tiny niggles we will defiantly be back for more, but book earlier next time, you are £8.00 cheaper than the dunstan inn and a whole lot taster too,

£13.95!!! For two main meals, Home made chicken and hock pies, which were filled with succulent pieces of chicken and chunks of ham hock in a delicious sauce encased in crisp pastry with mash or chips and peas and gravy, followed by a huge Winter Eton mess and homemade crumble and custard.

Visited Burnham for the first time and chose The Victoria Hotel after reading great reviews on here. We were not disappointed. Fantastic Sunday lunch - great food, great prices and lovely, friendly staff. We will definitely be back on another visit. Thank you all.

We popped in for some food after a quick visit with family. The atmosphere was welcoming and traditional. The food was excellent and the server (I believe it was the owner/landlord) was engaging genuine and friendly. We plan to be back in the area later in the year in one of the local holiday parks and we will definitely visit again

I’ve lived in the town for 17 years and have never been for food, but when I saw they had a new menu it would be naughty not to try it out.

We booked the 3 course Christmas Meal at £17.95pp. Starters were good, mains arrived with lots of extra veg and potatoes in side dishes and our desserts were great. Really enjoyable and good value.

Always welcoming with good drinks and food choices. Large outside seating area which is popular in summer Great atmosphere and very friendly with good music

Visited during recent holiday, after some initial difficulty with the order, the meal arrived and can only say WOW best steak we have had in a long while perfectly cooked and presented. Can't wait to return.

Not been here in a while and was amazed how much it has changed and glad to say for the better. There is now new management new menu new decor and the food is excellent value we use to use the pub as a handy place to meet up but now we stay to eat and drink in very pleasant surroundings would now recommend to anyone.

My mother and I are both coeliacs so as we saw gluten free options on the menu we went in for lunch and were so glad we did. The chips here are gf so we both chose bacon chops with egg chips and peas, (the chef also gave us grilled tomato instead of onion rings), and it was all superb. Service was good and the decor of the bar was bright and smart having clearly been recently redecorated. As a bonus the lunchtime offer meant we got both meals for a tenner, all in all an excellent visit.

Played skittles in this pub during the Winter. Improvements carried out during a recent change of tenants have elevated this pub to one of the best in Burnham. The outside is a lot more attractive now with great hanging flower baskets and more attractive tables and chairs. Staff appear more pleasant as well.
