Vanilla Ice Cream Parlour in East Riding of Yorkshire

We visited on Tuesday and Ellie couldn’t do more for us! She was so helpful and friendly and polite and just so lovely! The waffles were so yummy too

Visited with our family 2 daughters, 2 son-in-law’s and 5 grandchildren. My husband and I came across this lovely place while walking along the esplanade we stopped for coffee and a scone delicious. Our family then caught up with us and our daughters decided to send the husbands into the treasurer island golf with the children while they joined us for tea and cream scones. We were all very impressed. When the lads and the children came back yo us the children all got ice cream and the lads had coffee and scones. We highly recommend this lovely ice cream parlour and not just for the ice cream.

Came across this icecream parlour whilst walking along the esplanade Really cute soft icecream machine outside with a lovely young girl serving gave us a smile Soon as we came in we were acknowledged by the staff who told us to take a seat and look at the menu It was super clean inside even when it was extremely busy We had coffee and waffles which were 10/10Staff were so helpful and chatting to our young son We really enjoyed our visit and will make this our new regular placeThe staff were amazing on this super busy hot day We need more places like this in Bridlington :)

Wow. Wow. Wow. We really fancied a waffle on our little break away. We walked in to Vanilla Ice Cream Palour and was asked to take a seat and look at the menu. I decided on the Eton Mess and my husband the fudge. We initially thought that the price looked expensive until they arrived and then thought value for money. So lovely.

I visited here at the end of May 2021 and I would say it’s the best place in Bridlington for ice cream, milkshakes, Waffles and also food. The presentation of the food is lovely not just put on a plate the staff take pride in there work not just the presentation, the staff are lovely and make you feel very welcoming they can’t do enough to help you. This is the only place in Bridlington I can get an Ice cream from as they cater for food allergies like myself I can only have diary free and gluten free ice cream which vanilla stock this and they have this in a sorbet form and you can’t tell the difference it is that lovely and the flavours are so refreshing also the staff could not be more helpful advising me that that they stock diary and gluten free ice cream so thank you for that. As I sat and enjoyed my coffee and my family sat and enjoyed there milkshakes and toasted sandwiches I was looking round the shop and the stock vanilla use is the best stock ever the stock is all branded you would not get this else where! I also was observing the staff and all the staff was pulling together working as a team getting along with what they was ment to be doing and helping each other out. The manager of the shop the lady with blonde hair she was absolutely fab I can’t thank her enough for making sure myself and my family was ok and making sure our food etc was ok the owners of vanilla should be proud of his or hers staff they are a credit to you and I hope this gets back to him or her. The views from vanilla are lovely you are sat looking right out to sea you feel like your in Spain not in Bridlington! If you are out in Bridlington for the day vanilla is well worth a visit. The facilities for babies are good to they have changing facilities as I have a newborn baby and this is lovely and clean. My visit at vanilla was very pleasant and felt welcomed by all the staff thug could not do enough for you. So thank you vanilla for making my visit well worth coming. WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON.

Staff are absolutely brilliant and so friendly, the coffees are lovely and hot, and it's great when I bring my nephew as there is a great selection of ice cream for him due to being dairy and gluten free! The best ice cream parlour in bridlington by far. Always feel welcome when I come and get greeted with a smile every time. Thank you vanilla.

I love this cafe because they serve the best milkshakes and soya latte!! Wonderful staff and prices are very low.

Visited here with my partner for two coffees and panini s only for my partner to find not one but two hairs in his food the tables were still dirty and the staff were very ignorant and stood having a mother’s meeting whilst we were waiting to be served!!Extremely overpriced and unhygienic saw a younger member of staff bite her nails and then continued to serve and prepare food with no sanitizer or gloves nor was her hair tied back and another on her phone!!Extremely unprofessional and should not be able to hear staff swearing whilst serving customers. Safe to say we will not be back.

First I’d like to say what amazing service! Lovely & friendly staff, well mannered and so pleasant!Lovely place and well managed with social distancing, masks worn, track & trace and sanitisers in place!We ordered a few things off the menu and it was so scrumptious and delicious, the prices were great so we decided to order ice creams. The snickers was my favourite, my little boy had the sorbet as he is dairy free so excellent choice! Thank you Vanilla & Staff you were extremely helpful with my little boy! You deserve a pat on the back! We will definitely call again.

Delicious ice cream. Lots of choice of flavours, toppings, and cones. The lady that served us was lovely, we will definitely be back ASAP!

Went in for two sandwiches and two drinks. Ordered at the till where the young lady was preparing other sandwiches and serving on the till. No hand washing between doing either. Waited over 30 minutes and didn’t even receive the drinks. More people came and ordered takeout drinks and sandwiches and got them. Still waiting. Another staff member wiped her nose on her hand and moved a large ice cream machine. Nobody ever washed their hands . After 35 minutes decided to leave. Asked for a refund to be told our sandwiches were ready and were sitting out on the counter. Took the refund as don’t want to eat with such suspect hygiene. Very poor

We visited vanillas we had ice creams and coffee. Lovely selection of food and ice creams very clean and covid safe. We had a lovely waitress called Debbie and would just like to thank her for a wonderful job she is doing and these hard times.

Was wandering round town and not many places were open.Stopped here and got a scoop of Lotus Biscoff ice cream. At £2.20 a scoop it was a good price.The woman serving was nice, and very apologetic and the lack of flavours (due to one of the freezers breaking down) and no whippy ice cream (as they was broken too)Hopefully both temporary issues.Either way I was very happy with my ice cream!Good portion, and full of Lotus biscuits and pieces of caramel.Will come back for another ice cream next time I'm in the area.

Appalling and quite frankly poor customer service with dash of attitude. After being asked to take a seat in an empty establishment and after 15 minutes and a prompt to remind one of at least 3 staff stood behind the counter she was able to put down her mobile down and come and take our order. We asked for a couple of items off the menu and just some scoops of ice cream in a bowl. As we were in a ice cream parlour this felt like a reasonable request. The waitress in the empty establishment said she couldn’t take the order for the ice cream scoops and that we would need to go and order these items from the counter. When I asked the reason the waitress answers because they are served in different container. I was so baffled I asked to check I understood correctly. Even without operating with covid regulation that currently state “table service” I just fail to understand an actual plausible reason why I had to go a queue at a counter and then bring these items back to the same table. Crazy! The staff appeared to be all very young and no one in a managment role was visible.

Staff where adhering to social distancing practices and keeping all areas clean and sanitised. A few customers and especially their children were not.

Boooom It was Mega, it was a shake and it had Hob nobs....and Marshmallows and maybe other things. Greatl selection to choose from.. Bonus as we took advantage of the government eat out scheme Awesome

We visited as a family of 6 on a rainy evening and sat inside. We were greeted by friendly staff. One of our children has a peanut allergy and the staff were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble in checking the ingredients. Fresh bags of toppings were opened for him to avoid cross contamination. The ice cream was delicious.

My partner and I entered the Parlour on a very busy, sunny day We were greeted by a friendly girl at the front Menu has a huge selection too many to choose from so give yourself plenty of time We decided on the Eton mess and banoffee waffle which were both amazing Also we had two illy lattes which went down a treat Immaculate clean parlour with friendly staff who were very busy but still efficient Offered the 50% scheme too Well done vanilla!!!!!

Visited with family to purchase four ice cream items, all to eat in.1. Several assistants did not acknowledge the 50% discount for us nor several other customers during the visit. All assistants had to be asked by customers to discount the price who responded in a 'despondent' manner when asked. Not all customers will be aware of the current 50% scheme and it is concerning that others may have failed to receive the appropriate discount intentionally. Vanilla ice cream parlour is clearly included on the government's list of eateries taking part in the 'Eat out to help out scheme'2. Vanilla employees are instructed not to offer the 50% discount on ice-cream products deemed as 'take away only' despite them often being eaten on the premises. When asked about this two assistants said 'Its not our fault and only what we have been told to say to customers. The manager is not here at the moment'The items ordered were of the usual good quality but this inconsistent and somewhat dubious application of the government scheme was disappointing and has left a bad taste. Vanilla is not a cheap ice cream parlour at the best of times and we are not inclined to visit again.

Lovely coffees, lunch and ice cream for the children - what a treat. It was first week of school hols and was very quiet. I was surprised at the lack of masks or any PPE worn by the staff and there was no plastic screen on the counter where you order and pay but the place was well organised and staff were regularly cleaning.

Spotlessly clean and excellent staff. The owner was friendly and very chatty as he was sat having his morning coffee when we arrived. Everyone involved in the building is very Covid aware and we felt very comfortable, in fact we made a point of going back for lunch. It was very well presented and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Next time we will save a space for one of their ice creams which looked very appetising. Highly recommended.

Very impressed with the service, female with long brown hair was kind and polite and made an extra effort with my son’s allergies.

Stayed over in Bridlington last night, this morning popped into Vanillas with the family we had a panini each and coffees while the children went for the Ice creams.the food was really good and Pipping Hot, would reccomend and the kids loved the Ice creams (which was big) and would reccomend the ferrero rocher milkshake, already thinking about our next visit may try the waffles as they looked really good too.

Visited today and I would really recommend this place. Great friendly staff who serve with a smile. And great service given..I can't wait for my next visit.. hopefully soon!!

Can't fault the ice cream, but disappointed to find the emergency cord in the toilet was tied up and not hanging to the floor. As a carer for my disabled wife, I know how important it is that the cord is accessible from the floor. Please comply with regulations and educate your staff.

Called in here with our grandchildren on a cold & wet day. The grandchildren didn't care about the cold; they just wanted ice cream & we wanted a coffee. The young lady who served us was delightful. Our grandson (aged 6) chose the DaVinci ice cream plate & it was huge. Our granddaughter (aged 8) chose to just have 2 scoops in a tub & they were large scoops! We got to taste the various ice creams chosen by the children & can say they were all deliciously creamy & flavoursome. My husband & I had a cappucino & shared a cherry scone. It was one of the nicest cappucinos either of us had ever had.Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely Ice Cream Parlour.

Mixed thoughts... Staff were friendly enough, but when at 1.30pm on a Sunday afternoon we can't order a toasted sandwich, it makes you wonder why they bother to open. Smoothie and coffee is good, but the menus are not toddler friendly. A tiny cup of frothy hot milk for a 3yr old is £1.90 that's extortionate. No toddler friendly sized ice creams also.

Nice and creamy and had some taste, which other places with this type of ice cream lack. Good service, not cheap, but things worth having never are

What an amazing find this was. I'm a real lover of ice-cream and this place did not disappoint. So many flavours to choose from and so many knickerbocker glories as well! I thoroughly enjoyed it so much so, we went back the next day!

We popped in for lunch and had a cheese salad & a tuna salad, a tea and a cherry milkshake, it came to just under £20.

Spoilt for choice in the “Sundae” department, quick service, but expensive. The Banoffee Sundae was lovely.

Visited today the ice cream was nice but spoilt by the customer service. A small child dropped the ice cream of the top of his cone, would it of cost much to put a small scoop back on for him (the ice cream is expensive) instead they were charged again for an ice cream. It’s the kind gestures that make people return and the small cost it would of been to them would of made a big impression on all the people listening. We ordered 3 ice creams costing £9.30 so not cheap, just as we had been served the rain came down very heavily I asked if we could just sit down while the rain stopped. Now I understand they are take away ice creams and had the seating area been busy I could of understood the answer being no but there wasn’t one single person in the seating area (easily able to seat over 50) would 5 minutes of really hurt especially with the cost of the ice cream.

These guys are amazing I knew we would be visiting for my mum's birthday so my son wanted to do something special I emailed them and arranged to have a little surprise when my mum arrived. The girls could not have been more helpful my is wheelchair bound and they always make sure she is well looked after on every visit. Will see you all again soon

After enjoying a stroll down the seafront, dodging the seagulls we stopped here for a sweet treat. The selection is great and we were not disappointed. I chose the coconut and my husband mint choc chip and ferroro rocher. Yum yum yum

First impression was the overpriced menu, lasting impression was the terrible customer service by management. The place is about money not customers. Won't visit again.

Maybe I’m biased because I love ice cream but this was great! Lots of choice, reasonable price and plenty of seat. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely visit here. Some of the icecreams were a bit expensive but it was very good value for money. I have never eaten something so chocolatey before. Would recommend and go again.

Being a mother of two as well as being heavily pregnant, after spending £10 on just three ice-creams from here we were asked to go sit outside as we “weren’t allowed to eat ice cream inside” despite it being an ice cream parlour!!!

When in brid on a sunny morning what’s better than having a cold frappe great place to watch the world go by

Good choice of ice creams. My frappe was nice. Also good mark for using paper straws. All rather pricy though. Service rather slow and place wasnt full so not sure what problem was. Only 1 loo (unisex) so would expect long queues at times.

If you want to waiting in line then be served after people who arrive after you then this is the place to go. I waited for a group to finish being served to get my granddaughter a knickerbocker glory but the parlour attendant overlooked me and served a couple who came in after.

This is a family favourite for a visit whenever we’re in town and it’s great for everything from coffee to cake and the ice cream is amazing. The staff are attentive and friendly too. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

This is a brilliant cafe the food is delicious toilets well looked after staff friendly. And plus you get a lovely sea view of Bridlington. And is very easy to find right in the centre of Bridlington. You HAVE to come here l recommend it lovely place

Home made cakes and buns, very clean and nicely decorated. I’ve cream is good quality. Staff are very friendly. I think it was the owner who was friendly with all the customers, helped a family with their pram down the stairs.

Having been on the Pirate Ship we decided to seek refreshment. This establishment was close by on the harbour front. One of our party selected ice cream which was fine, two selected hot chocolate, which turned out to be very sweet and the others selected lattes which seemed to be beyond the servers and were very disappointing.

Stumbled across this place on our recent trip into Bridlington, so glad we did! Me and my partner were going to order a waffle each however on seeing the size of them we decided on getting one to share, good idea on my part haha! We chose the waffle with the Nutella and Kinder Bueno ice cream and it was incredible! Yes, it is a little pricey however I think it is about what I expected for this kind of thing and we defo do not begrudge the price as the waffle was so great! Service was friendly and quick. We don't come to Brid very often, however next time we are there we will definitely be returning. 100% recommend!

Lots of different toppings to choose from and different flavours, place is clean and tidy, friendly staff. Lots of seating. Kids enjoyed their ice creams.

Perfect place, perfect location with beautiful sea view. The huge range of icream and dessert to choose from. And if you not up to for sweets they also serve delicious paninis and salads to die for. Very clean and high up to standards place. Lovely welcoming staff. Highly recommended 10/10

Made a trip to vanilla icecream Parlour on a busy August and everything met our expectations.Exceptionally clean parlour,lovely designs very Italian.Ice-cream and Illy coffee was brilliant.Friendly and memorable staff well done Vanilla!

Visited here for the past 4 years, lovely ice cream, however came yesterday spent £20 on ice creams and sat inside as there was no seating outside, we had a baby and a toddler with us so needed to sit down as we always have, the manager came over and said you can not eat your ice creams in here this is for only orders inside even though the you get your ice creams inside! We explained it was too hot outside to stand and eat them with a baby and there waa noone inside so plenty of seating, alwaya sat inside and she said that is the wrong attitude to have! So iff you want an ice cream and want to stand outside in the rain or sun then go here, even though there was no-one inside! Really put me off now so won't be visiting here again, think the manager needs to learn some people skills!

We visited recently as a family including my elderly mother and two children. After buying all the family a double tub each with various toppings we sat in the totally empty restaurant to enjoy our extravagant treat to have the waitress come over and tell us we can't eat inside the restaurant as we picked ice cream from the from shelf.

A place for everyone,the menu is vast for a ice cream parlour,staff are always very friendly! Lovely and clean and have a lift for wheelchair! Highly recommend to everyone

We popped in to vanilla ice cream ,just expecting to have a run of the mill and very ordinary ice cream. And a sit down to be honest. But it was far from the norm. The portions were huge and the flavours was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and looked the part for the parlour. And the prices was fair and reasonable. The food menu looked good to ,

Had the usual wander around the harbour and the sea front. Eldest daughter really wanted a milk shake.

We came to Brid for a day out and made our way to the Vanilla Ice Cream Parlour I had a knickerbocker glory it's my must have they are the best

Omg wait until you see the portion sizes!!!!! My fav is the hot fudge waffle! Kids and other half enjoy the milkshakes and sundaes... a top place and the staff very friendly aswell!

Visit every year when on holiday and cannot fault at all. Wonderful sundaes, cakes etc. Would certainly recommend.

Lovely place very busy so a nice atmosphere with plenty of choice. The staff are quick and helpful and it's in a nice place.

Visited on numerous occasions and use to enjoy going until today. Onlooking at the menu choice of ice creams we decided to have a cone for a change we made our choices and sat back at the table to enjoy. We were then asked to leave and escorted to the door. No other tables were in use and we were advised we couldn’t sit there as it was the summer holidays. Nobody else was sat. Very disappointing an ice cream parlour that asks its customers to leave.

Went in for a nice drink, I had the strawberry milkshake. I was a little disappointed this time as my shake was full of marshmallows, which I did not ask for. I asked for extra cream but ended getting the full lot - cereal, sauce and marshmallows. Normally I enjoy the shakes here but this time I was highly disappointed. Maybe the customers should be given a choice of any milkshake extras rather than get them all.

Difficult to choose from the array of ice cream flavours on offer, good choice of drinks and friendly staff.

Very good quality ice cream and a large choice of flavours. My daughter told me that they apparently grow their own fruit to blend on some of the flavours.?

Love this place and the rum baba & baileys icecreaam sundaes are to die for ... highly recommend a visit.

Went for ice cream here the other day, and had white chocolate and honeycomb. Went back today and decided to sit in. Me and the wife order Utterly Nuttily waffles. They were amazing! Kids had milkshakes and loved them. One of the best places for desserts. The lady who served us was very chatty as well. Had a good conversation with her! So thank you

We have visited this place now for many years but it doesnt seem as good the last few times we have visited. When we first visited it seemed to be run by a couple of polish girls but i dont think it is now. The ice creams are not as tasty either.

Visited late on Bank holiday Monday (the sunny one) The staff and owner were still upbeat and full of energy even after an exhausting busy day and gave an excellent service making myself and my family feel really special. The perfect end to a great day

Ice cream was nice enough... Not as tasty to some I've been to. But still a tasty treat! Cookies and cream was nice. Salted caramel a bit basic.

Family with teens. Sundaes and waffles were delicious! I ordered the tea cake which was served with shaped butter patties and was Devine. Loved the decor and service was very good. Coffee was great. I thought it was reasonably priced too. Will definitely return if we come back to Bridlington and I don’t say that very often.

Pictures look fab on the menu and when our choices arrived at our cute little table they looked just like them - only thing is we would have had as much taste eating the menus! The vanilla ice-cream was cheap & nasty or extremely old full of big chunks of ice. the caramel ice-cream had little taste but less ice. The chocolate one did taste of chocolate but was not the best I've had and for the prices they were charging the best was what I expected!

Food is freshly prepared Coleslaw is beautiful Kids love the waffles My oldest loves the kiwi selector smoothie !! This is always part of our visit to bridlington we love it Not cheap but worth every penny !!!

Beautiful ice cream, with a huge selection, served by a friendly and patient lady. Not the cheapest but it was well worth it.

Called in for a cuppa and enjoyed sitting reading the menu with all the delicious sounding ice creams and sundaes on offer at good prices. Will make a point of going in again and eating next time. Staff were pleasant too

Visited on a wet day and were made to feel very welcome. Not rushed either which was appreciated. Very clean and nicely decorated, with booth type seating on the upper level

We had mint chocolate chip and rum and raisin ice cream on waffle cones £4.90. Good amount of ice cream on the cone.

Loved our visit!, we visited on a work afternoon out,both members of staff were lovely. Very clean Wheelchair friendly,disabled toilet Food was yummy Would highly recommend to anyone!

The cafe was really clean and looks very modern. I ordered the pot of tea which, for £2.40, is quite expensive in my opinion but it was tasty nonetheless. The ice cream was close to the best I've ever tasted. The price for the ice cream isn't that bad either. Have been here before and will definitely go again. Only fault is some of the prices are expensive and the music is a bit too loud for a cafe but that's just me, some people may like it.

Fab range of delicious ice creams a must visit when you go to the seaside. We enjoyed flavours such a Mars, Oreo and Bounty mmmmmmm!!! Will definitely go back xxxx

After eating our Lunch we decided to go for a walk around the shops and amusements in Bridlington, we came across this shop and decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream.

We stopped here for coffee as we were thirsty. Having looked at the menu we were temped into ordering the Eton mess waffles. So delicious! We didn't try the ice cream but it looked delicious too. Table service with a smile. Highly recommend a visit to this place, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
