So always served quickly and food is good however prices have gone up a bit and they only take cash??!!! Is always busy at the weekends but they are closing all of august WHAT ??? It’s the only place to grab a descent bite to eat in the daytime around here. Improvements would be better quality of red and brown sauce they do use the cheaper versions which in my opinion ruins the breakfast.

Have had several excellent meals here recently. The food is always excellent and the service speedy. Good coffee as well and the premises are spotlessly clean.

Visited Vale Cafe as a group of seven guys meeting for breakfast. Arrived at 8:30am to find the place busier than I had expected. General impressions: This is a cafe, not a high-class restaurant. Having said that, it’s very clean (no ‘sticky table’ syndrome as with many other places) and bright. It’s not too squashed in, you have room to move. The only negative observation is that the lack of soft furnishings makes noise more noticeable, but that wasn’t a major issue. Very warm welcome - the proprietor moved tables so we could all sit together. Vale Cafe operates a counter service system, as with most cafes, and service was good - no problem there. I think the stand-out point was the quality of the food. The food was traditional fried breakfast stuff, but it was really nicely cooked and presented. More than one member of the group commented on the absence of grease that usually accompanies fry-ups, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We agreed that we’d be happy to meet here again. How many stars would I give Vale Cafe? Environment: clean and bright, toilet clean and well-supplied, so a star for that Service/People: Warm welcome, good service, so a star for that Food quality: Well - excellent, and the tea and coffee was good too, so another star Value: At between £6.70 and £7.20 for a full breakfast with a round of toast, not the cheapest but certainly not the dearest, and it was nice food - everyone was happy with what they paid, so star for that too Would I go there again? Well, everyone in the group said they’d be happy to return, so I guess I will! Another star Would I recommend? Yes, comfortably. So a fifth star.

Visited the cafe with my partner as we both had a hankering for some good old cafe grub. The food was decent but nothing fantastic but it did its job fine enough. However the service although not bad as such was not exactly friendly, i know this isn't the savoy but a smile or a hello/goodbye/how can i help you is always welcome wherever you go and whatever you are eating, the vale cafe didn't have any of those pleasantries which was a shame. Its next to the basingstoke canal though which is always good for a walk so not a bad location.

We used to get takeaway sandwiches from here as a treat as the filling size was generous and the bread fresh. However, lately we have been disappointed as the bread has been stale (both the white and the wholemeal) and the filling quantity has diminished. For the price, you'd expect a nice fresh sandwich with quality ingredients.

I have been going to the cafe for a few weeks now and I can honestly say their coffee is the best I have ever had. Even my daughter who doesn't like coffee likes it! They are so friendly and everything is made freshly to order. Would make a detour if in the area again!

We've been here a few times and as cafes go, it's average at best. The breakfasts contain the cheap supermarket own label type sausages and bacon but it's all edible and the service is decent enough. It does pretty well as it's the only cafe for some distance, so for a local place to eat a simple breakfast or lunch, it's good enough.

I was pleasantly surprised with this cafe. It doesn't look much on the outside but the food and the coffee are delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable and you get great value for money. Staff are really nice too. Definitely recommend for a brunch.

Just been late afternoon to have dinner. Reasonable choice,, very tasty and for us, huge portions. If you like strong coffee this is the place for you. It is very clean and the staff are friendly. Food arrived quite quickly, so for people on a lunch break this would be a good place to eat. We had breakfast here before we went away and couldn't eat anything until the evening!! (Not used to large breakfasts!) If you've walked the canal to Ash Vale wharf this would be a good stop for a cuppa.

We are now a regular at this little cafe in Ash Vale, mainly as a hungover Sunday cure. The staff are welcoming and the food portions are amazing, plenty of choice. The only bad part is parking but we live within walking distance so that doesnt bother us.

A decent enough little cafe not far from the Basingstoke Canal. It's hardly luxurious but offers the standard breakfast/lunch fare and seemed fine when I was there. Good value for what it is.

This café serves a good range of lunches including the eponymous "All-Day Breakfast". The meals are well cooked, cleanly presented, tasty, hot and very reasonably priced. When visiting our daughter and son-in-law nearby, we always find ourselves going here at least once. It is situated in a row of useful shops and there is reasonably good parking along the street.

There is no doubt that the British cafe cannot vary much across the country. It is what it is and does the job fairly cheaply, even the fare is your basic Breakfast or Ham, Egg and Chips and such like. I feel this cafe should have a rating to start it off because it's, as cafes go, in my opinion excellent. I've eaten in here a half dozen times now and all is freshly cooked to order. The fries are great and the burger I thought much better than the big chains. I've also had breakfasts in here and again fresh and good quality. This cafe is a real goldmine I think, or should be. It's so nice to have a really nice cafe in your own little village. This is my one.

Deze pub wordt gerund door de dorpsbewoners. Heel enthousiaste bediening en lekker eten voor een geringe prijs. Bij mooi weer ook buiten eten in de beergarden.

Was taken to Cyder House Inn last weekend for lunch and had the most fabulous afternoon. Susan was our waitress and she was amazing. Food was the best I have eaten since moving to the UK a year ago. The chef is South African and we loved the menu! I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking to have a wonderful experience!

Sunday lunch, for family 2 adults and two children. Only Sunday roast available, Turkey or beef. Asked for gravy on the side , all came smothered in a thick dark brown gravy and a jug of gravy on the side. Very poor presentation and the quality of the turkey was poor but the single slice of beef was the toughest I ever had. We didn’t even consider dessert ! Not to be recommended, AVOID.
