Amazing curry place, my favourite in Sheffield. Our waitress was Karthika (possibly wrong spelling) very friendly service and attentive to our group. We had the aloo tikki chaat and dani puri to start and they were unbelievably good. Friendly atmosphere. Cobra and an IPA on draught.

Had a good evening out. The food was excellent. The peshwari naan were full of flavour. We both had prawn dishes and there were plenty of prawns in them. Service was good and the atmosphere was busy with family gatherings which added to the evening.

I don’t really agree with rating business for takeaway on Trip Advisor as I get frustrated with reading reviews on delivery time, temperature of food, phone service etc. However, whilst Urban Choola don’t deliver to my local area, it’s well worth a trip to the other side of Sheffield for collection.I’ve dined here on numerous occasions with my partner, taken friends from outside the area and recently have had a few takeaways too. I’ve only been left disappointed just once, to be fair that was just one dish and to put into perspective that’s probably 1/100 dishes that myself, partner and friends have had and even then UC were quick to remedy and offer a compliment dish as a replacement, very good customer service.The menu is relatively small in comparison to the usual offerings from your typical British Indian Restaurant, but don’t let that detract from the variety available. Having worked my way through most choices, it’s evident that each dish is very unique and delivers a distinctive individual flavour. Whilst this restaurant isn’t cheap you really get value for money as the quality of both ingredients and cookery skills are second to none.Highlights from the menu include pretty much everything from The Tandoori Section, although I’m yet to try the Brocolli. The Red Pepper Tiger Prawns are a personal favourite, but the recent addition of the Tandoori Chicken Wings pushes the prawns close. What sets this restaurant apart from the competition is premium cuts of meat and seafood selection and how the chef delivers heat through a balance of spice complimented by the various sauces and dressings.The main meals are often overshadowed by the starter, but that’s because the starters as so good. Having tried all the dishes excluding the Matar Paneer & The Bhindi Masala I find it hard to pick an out and out favourite. I really enjoyed the Butter Chicken Masala, a mild dish, with subtle spice packed full of fresh flavours combined with premium pieces of Chicken Tikka. That said, If I had to pick one, think it would be the Lamb Vindaloo, exceptional cuts of lamb in a rich sauce, perfectly balanced with a sweet tang following by a punchy hit of chilli, they know what they are doing at UC and excite the palate with every mouthful, no overpowering flavour and no dish ruined by unnecessary heat.Having moved to Sheffield almost eight years ago with have tried most of the Indian, Bangladeshi & Pakistani restaurants in the area and have visited all the top 10 on various occasions. I have to say that we became regulars at Kashmiri Aroma in Woodseats, used to drive 30 minutes weekly, but it has never been the same after the prolonged closure due to fire. I’m pleased to have discovered Urban Choola a year or so ago as this curry house has more than filled the void left by KA. It’s not by chance that UC is ranked No.1

So tasty! We’ve ordered from Urban Choola a couple of times now & it is absolutely delicious. My husband loves the lamb chops & my favourite dish is the tandoori chicken tikka. The delivery was very quick & the food was nice & warm. It’s our new favourite Indian takeaway.

Being an ardent dine in guy, it's hard for me to be convinced with take aways . Had to make an exception last week though and I am pleased to say I don't regret my decision one bit . Urban Choola stood by its reputation and made my take away experience a memorable one. Food tasted as fantastic as before when I had dined in. Good social distance practices were in place while collecting the food. Keep it up Team Urban Choola.

Food ordered and delivered but was absolutely terrible. Lamb Rohan Josh absolutely no taste and swimming in grease. Lamb salli boti ordere too - that was the same - greasy and tasteless. Chicken karahi was ok but chicken so dry. Wouldn’t recommend at all

Authentic Indian food. We have eaten in and order a take away (once every week) and we have never been disappointed. Staff are friendly and the ambiance is lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant as it’s one of our favourite curry houses. Klaudia has served us a couple of times and we found her to be attentive and friendly.

First of all, the staff were great. So friendly and smiley and respected all social distancing guidelines etc. A special shout-out to Klaudia she was so nice and chatty and recommended what to have next time we come because we will definitely visit again.

I can easily say it's one of the best Indian meals I have had in Sheffield. The food, the ambience, the staff and especially Klaudia who served us, the entire experience was absolutely lovely...
