Authentic Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere and good service with friendly staff. Food excellent and reasonably priced.

I went along with my 12 year old son. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, calamari, pizza, pasta. Great customer service and a spot we will return to. They even brought us blankets for the chill in the air. Brava a tutti.

Visited last night to collect pre-ordered takeaways. Really good quality and huge tasty helpings. A true match to their restaurant quality. Will support Les and his staff until the restaurant reopens and some form of normality returns. Let's hope others will do likewise. Alan and Sandra.

I have visited Unos many times and every time we have the same lovely experience. The food is amazing the the service is outstanding. Very welcoming and nothing is too much hassle.

Visited as a party of 5 with some friends recently for the first time. Beautiful food and the service was great - they were attentive at clearing empty glasses and plates when everyone had finished. The young Waiters were very polite and professional and we had a lovely time. Can’t wait for the next visit!

My partner and I visited for our date night, lovely welcoming atmosphere, service was excellent, the food was served quickly and above all was absolutely delicious! Can’t fault anything, will definitely be returning again!

We had a fabulous evening here. We thought the food and particularly the service was superb. Really high quality and excellent presentation. Our waiter called Matthew was so professional, friendly and polite. He managed to make us feel like we were special whilst also attending to all the other tables he was covering. Me and my friends are loyal customers and like to go to uno’s monthly , we will not be returning after the Rude, arrogant and unwelcoming visit we had . My friend got mimicked by one of the staff within hearing distance, she politely asked for some mayonnaise and parmesan cheese and we heard the staff member say to another Colleague ‘can I have this , can I have that , can I have this, can I have that’ and then finishing off with a loud sigh. I don’t think it’s a big ask when your out for a meal and you ask a staff member for these things. Very unprofessional to say the least

We visited on a Sunday and had another lovely meal at this resturant. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere. We will be back again soon.

Visited Unos last night, service was excellent, staff were really good, food was amazing, would definitely recommend to others. Have been numerous times and are always well looked after. Fab place.

As always, service was prompt with friendly, happy staff. The food was delicious, the garlic breads are the best around with a variety of flavours. Even under the present COVID situation, everyone (staff) followed the guidelines and made all feel safe. Will continue to visit this lovely and well managed restaurant.

What a lovely experience in these very strange times. The food was excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive. Special thanks to Leslie who made my friends birthday a lovely occasion and even brought a slice of cheesecake - very nice touch. Will definitely be returning

Visited Uno's for my sisters birthday. You would have to travel a long way to find more attentive service and better food. Visited quite a few times and always made to feel very special and welcome. Highly recommend.

I have never experienced such an awful service in my life. Waiter was rude to me and my friend (she was exempt from wearing a face mask for numerous reasons) lesley who served us was awful.Appalled and will not be returning despite visiting numerous occasions since August 2020.I believe if I was with a man this would not have been an issue. Further action will be taken.

Ordered the sea bass special and the King prawns that came with the dish were raw. Complained to the waiter who apologised profusely and took the dish away to be replaced. By the time my dish came back out to me, everyone else had finished their food and my side orders were cold/not replaced. I asked for the food to be taken away and was not happy. At no point throughout this episode did the manager come over to our table and offer an apology or recognition.... will not be going back!

Fab food and loved the laid back feel of the premises. Staff very welcoming, will definitely be returning in the near future.

Consistently good quality, authentic Italian food. Great staff, great atmosphere. This was our first 'post lockdown' meal out and I'm so glad we chose Uno's. Really good safety measures in place which made for a very relaxing afternoon. We'll be back soon!

Really pleased that UNO'S have re-opened for takeaways. Just, as a family, enjoyed a range of pizzas and pasta. Absolutely as good as their restaurant for taste and size of helpings. Came here for Valentines Day with my girlfriend, had an amazing time food was exceptional and relatively cheap. Staff were very friendly and helpful and served our food very quickly. Had a rustic Italian atmosphere which fit the style of the restaurant. One downside though, the tables were a bit cramped but other than that we had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

We love coming here as a family treat every month or so. Great food and very reasonable for the quality. Service is also top notch and we always feel very welcome.My boy Fred would also like me to say how much he loves the chicken and ham pizza when he comes.

There were 12 of us on one table on a tea time outing, the food was very nice, my only criticism was the service was left a bit to be desired and the drinks especially for a pint of shandy, £4-50 to me was a little excessive They did allow us to take our own birthday cake and served it from table

Me and my wife went today and it's the first time I have been. Nice and quiet with it been a Sunday afternoon, the inside is nice and traditional and the staff are friendly. Our starter was nice, a mixed seafood dish with squid, prawns and whitebait. When it came to the mains my wife ordered a vegetarian pizza which came and was delicious, I ordered the vegetarian calzone and it was nice until I realised it had meat in it, the kitchen staff were at fault as when brought to the staffs attention it had been ordered correctly and the chef had simply cooked the wrong pizza for me. The manager was very apologetic and offered us a round of drinks for free but I was driving so declined although appreciated the offer. I'm not a fussy person with stuff like that and didn't want the mess about of my wife finishing her meal and me waiting for a replacement so I just removed the meat and carried on, it was really tasty but the chefs mistake is why I give it 3 stars as it should be pretty straight forward for them to get the order right. I wouldn't be in a rush to go back but at the same time I wouldn't be massively put off as I know mistakes happen and we are all human. Overall, not a bad meal for the price.

We ate here for my daughters 21st birthday while she is away as a student. I had mentioned it was a special occasion when booking but they seemed unaware of the booking. However when we said happy birthday to her they overheard and brought a mini Prosecco bottle which was very kind. The food is all so tasty and very good value. We loved the lobster ravioli and the pizza. The staff are so friendly and willing to help. A little birthday candle in her pudding finished off a very enjoyable lunch.

We stumbled.on this little gem. Staff were incredibly welcoming. Our food was beautiful, hot and well presented. Our little boy said he wanted to eat there every night 😂. Fab, definitely returning

This was my first time visiting Uno’s on a busy Saturday night, the staff were amazing. I was greeted by a young lady who was very well mannered and the rest of the staff made the experience worth while also. The food was tremendous, I ordered the halloumi starter with a garlic bread starter and polo principessa for the main. I have no complaints and would nightly recommend you try this place. Great experience!

I went for a work lunch near Xmas. The aranccini were small, cold and bland. They were served on a few fronds of wilted rocket and a smear of their ubiqitious industrial tomato sause. The calzone was empty for the first and last third. The middle third was ok and served with the standard tomato sauce. Maybe the food is better when not a group event and not near Xmas. I am unlikely to ever find out.

We had a meal on Christmas Eve night, the atmosphere was so festive, food excellent and service very good, lovely staff. We has sirloin steaks with gorgonzola and mushrooms followed by homemade tiramisu. Will definitely be visiting again, highly recommended.

I took my grandson for a lunch time treat. He always opts for a pizza when it's his choice. Uno,s is his favourite place to eat.

We had lovely meal early evening yesterday .We both just fancied an Italian meal after delivering some Christmas cards to our former neighbours on Goddard avenue and we had heard about Uno . I'm so pleased we did our meals were delicious . Starting with a garlic bread to share then 2 chicken dishes all served up by friendly welcoming staff . I would have liked to give 5 stars but our meals were served on cold plates and the food got cold very quickly , a problem for me as I eat very slowly . We will return next time we are in the area but will make a point of asking for hot plates .

Whilst visiting friends in Hull, they took us to Uno's. We had a lovely meal, and the staff were very welcoming.

Ate here for the first time. Both had a pasta meal excellent flavour would have given 5 stars but it was not hot enough for my taste and pasta cools so quickly. Lovely bright and clean premises. Not very busy when we went Sunday lunchtime. Will certainly eat here again. Not an extensive menu but certainly enough to cater for every palate.

Went with friends a warm welcome, attentive service and great food. Lovely atmosphere making everyone feel welcome. A good selection on the menu. Certainly worth a visit.

Not the greatest experience my chicken was tough couldn’t get my knife into one piece iniwas disappointed that it was frozen vegetables . I did get my meal replaced . The garlic bread was delicious . And service was good

We used to go when it was down Princes Ave and always been good. Their other place is great too (Osteria). The lunch menu is amazing value with good portions and all fresh, authentic and good quality. Great friendly service, well located, great food and good prices. Faultless lunch and they’ve done a great job of fitting it out. Must try this place if you haven’t as all round best in Hull.

Since my last review we have been a few times superb as usual the last time we were there wasSaturday it was my birthday,be warned we were booked in for Five thirty and the place was fully booked we saw at least five parties turned away disappointed l even got a bottle of Prosecco from the boss

Just got back from visiting UNO’s on Newland Ave, we had previously been to their other premise but this was the first time to the Newland Ave premise.

Having been to uno’s three times now, I feel confident in writing my review. On each occasion (lunchtime and evening) I have enjoyed authentic, delicious and recommendable Italian food. The ingredients are fresh, and both the pasta and the pizzas are full of flavour. This is not a pretentious place, it isn’t to the styling of zizzi’s, Ask or other ‘italian’ chain restaurants, it is instead, a local gem that gives you a taste of the real Italy. Compliments to the chef, the manager and friendly waiting staff.

There was 11 of us at the meal and some had been to this restaurant before whereas I and my partner hadn’t. For starter we had garlic bread with cheese it was big and so so delicious! (Luckily I was sharing it with my partner as I wouldn’t have finished it alone!) he also had the halloumi with sweet chilli sauce it was gone in seconds. Everyone on the table where pleased with their choice of starters. Mains then arrived 15/20 minutes after starters, I was very pleased as I was still full from the starter. I can’t remember the name of my meal but it was Chicken in breadcrumbs with spaghetti Napoli, potatoes & veg. I’m usually extremely fussy and only ever get a plain margarita pizza or lasagne if I’ve never been to a place before but this time I thought I’d be different and I am so pleased with my choice it was lovely, every mouthful was perfect. My partner had the steak and it was cooked exactly how he had asked for it. The whole table enjoyed their meals and we was asked twice how everything was and also asked a few times if we wanted any extra drinks. And when they asked if we wanted to see the pudding menu we all had to decline as we was all so full (always a good thing) as I’d rather be full then still be hungry after lovely food! It was nice that we was checked up on regularly. It was a little busy considering it was a Tuesday night but they still checked up on us and the staff where extremely polite and happy. I must say it’s nice when you can see the chefs preparing and making the dishes and they didn’t look stressed at all they all looked so calm and a few of them looked like they where having a laugh with one another which is nice to see. I think everyone seemed extremely close and it was a very very lovely setting and team working together. We will 100% be coming back and I’ll be recommending to my friends and other members of family.

I admit that my rating is unfair compared to the ones I have given to establishments rated by Michelin. But I believe that a rating should be given in accordance to that which the restaurant is, or claims to be. Uno`s is a British trattoria serving Italian fare. Their food is both ample and highly edible and the pricing is a relief to the wallet. It is mainly the friendly & quick service that brings Uno`s to a top rating and I finally found someone in UK who knows the correct serving temperature of wine: BIG thank you! The whole Group left the restaurant with - feel good.

Have been a couple of times now,Starters are wonderful,Mains hard to choose which one all are great, Pud haven’t had one yet to full oh and a Large glass of wine really does mean a large glass!! I’ll be back Mxx

Despite the words gluten free appearing under the pizza menu apparently the only options were pasta and a few other dishes. I opted for a fish stew that was served without bread at the same price- without a sense of shame or apology or offer of anything else.

Booked 2 weeks in advance for a birthday meal and cannot fault the food but most importantly the service was incredible! They were fantastic and so accomodating of things like storing the cake for the day and presenting it for the birthday boy.

We were in Hull for the weekend moving our daughter into uni accommodation.

I went here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, we were made to feel very welcome and the seating was very comfortable. The food and service were excellent and the prices average for this type of food, I'm sure we will be going back soon.

I went for lunch with my daughter and both of us ordered from the lunch menu which is offered daily from 12 to 4pm. The meal was beyond excellent in terms of quality and value. We ordered calimari, cheesy garlic bread, pepperoni pizza, olives, large glass of house wine and sparking water- all for £21.95. The olives were good quality and we're a huge portion. The calamari was the best I have ever had apart form what we've had in Turkey. The calamari was soft and the batter thin and crispy. The pizza and garlic bread were huge and had a lovely thin base, crisp but soft at the same time. Couldn't fault the staff on duty who were friendly and efficient. Would happily go back and with the very drinkable house wine at only £13.95 a bottle we will be making an occasion of it next time

Uno is a mid sized Italian restaurant in the up and coming Newland area of Hull. This area has seen a significant improvement over the last few years and there are now some excellent restaurants offering a variety of cuisines.

We’ve been visiting Unos for a long time at their princes avenue site but they have now moved to newland avenue and WOW it’s brilliant. The food was always good but it’s even better at the new place with a fantastic atmosphere too - always highly recommended but more

I have been a regular at the previous location for a number of years. The restaurant is light and contemporary with easy access. The food is still excellent and the staff are attentive and friendly.

Called in to check out Uno's new restaurant on Newland Avenue. What an absolute revelation, we had being regular customers at previous venue and always enjoyed the food and excellent service. Didn't think it could be better but yes , their new restaurant is superb and really well laid out with attention to detail in the design. A true Italian theme has being created with a good mix of open plan tables and boothed areas. Just a small but interesting feature is the Vespa Scooter theme applied to the menu's. The various dishes on the menu give a wide range of choice from the staples of Pasta and Pizza and onto a good range of fish, chicken, steak etc. Les and his staff ensure all customers are made welcome and service is prompt and courteous. Great food . Hadn’t booked but they accommodated is even though it was a busy bank holiday weekend . Thought we we would have to wait a while for our food as there was a large table next to us but it wasn’t the case good ambiance too .

Visited UNOs for our last Friday lunch today before they relocate to Newland Avenue next week.

After wanting to eat here for some time we finallu had chance to give it a go. A nice I dependant feel, quite intimate location. We were greeted warmly and we ordered a garlic tomato and pesto bread to start. We shared this as we are aware it was going to be quite large! Nice thin base and oozing garlic!!

Sunday afternoon visit , cannot fault the service or the food it was excellent, very well presented the chicken was cooked beautifully,lovely restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere will definitely return and would recommend.

Have been a few times here . Had lunch Friday with the hubby he had sea food pizza I had the pasta carbonara both excellent nice glass of white wine each . Staff very friendly and professional will definitely be going back soon.

This was a surprise meal for my daughters 30th birthday and what a great time we all had. Food was excellent as was the service and staff. Daughter was presented with a bottle of procesco, everyone enjoyed their meals. Service great and lots of laughs with staff. After main course they played happy birthday and gave my daughter a chocolate brownie with ice cream which had a candle and playing in the back ground was happy birthday. UNO is a great little place to eat and we were not disappointed and hopefully kids will book here for my 60th birthday in June,

We found the food to be just average. The portions are fairly big. I am a great foodie and at the same time equally fussy when it comes to food flavours, presentation, how it tastes and smells etc. I ordered garlic mushrooms the sauce of which was actually like a soup. Husband’s starter of bread and pate was okay. The mains were again nothing extremely delicious. The pizza was okay but the pasta dish we ordered had a very strong smell and the sauce was disappointing. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The restaurant was buzzing when we went. Ambience is good but the food could be tastier.

Visit Uno's quite often but this is the first time we've tried the lunch menu and we wasn't disappointed. The prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of the food served. Service was also great as usual. Never had a bad experience here and it will continue to be one of our favourites.

We booked here for a birthday meal 16 of us last week. Despite giving the meal orders in advance the service was chaotic to say the least, starters arriving at the same time as main meals, some not arriving at all. The food was average nothing outstanding, drinks are pricey. Would not visit again.

Went on a Sunday tea time and there was a lovely atmosphere at Uno. The staff, and the manager were so friendly to me and my family .. especially my little boy who is 4 and really made us welcome.

This vegan went with a vegetarian and an omnivore. We all had loads to choose from. Attentive, but unhurried, service. Beautiful food. The vegan and vegetarian stuff is all clearly marked. It never fails to be great. Can't wait to go back.

Went for lunch with family on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy. The place is narrow, long and with very clean toilets! Deco a bit 80’s but food is superb! We had a selection of starters and mains all of which were amazing! Team was also very friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone. Thank you team, keep it up!

We went for a Christmas party (9 people) and although the food was delicious, service was a bit chaotic - drinks were missed and courses weren’t served together. We were told it was under new management so this might have been the reason for the additional stress but we had booked weeks in advance so they had plenty of notice to prepare!

We came to Uno’s for a Christmas Celebration... the restaurant looks lovely and the staff were really friendly. The service was however quite messy, with drinks and food being missed. The food was very tasty and the space very comfortable, it was just the delivery that didn’t quite live up to 4*.

We went to Uno’s last night to celebrate my sister in law’s 50th birthday and we had a great time.

just spent my wifes 60th birthday at UNOs with family and friends, Les and his staff really made the evening special,he even went out and got a bouquet of flowers for my wife and the food was so good all our friends vowed to back for more.I cant recommend unos highly enough.

In with a group for dinner, great starter and a really lovely main of seafood tagliatelle with lemon, it was very tasty. Garlic bread was awesome and the service couldn't have been better....great place!

When the hubby said he'd booked here I was a bit disappointed expecting the usual Princes Ave rush with lack of atmosphere... how wrong was I? From the minute we walked in the service was welcoming (especially by all the young brothers-they are a great asset!!) and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The food was freshly cooked and delicious with very generous portion sizes. Overall Fab!!

I went there last night for the first time with two friends without a reservation on a busy Friday night. They graciously found us a table and we were served right away. I ordered the calzone which was HUGE and delicious. My friends ordered the tomato soup and a pizza. We also ordered the garlic mushrooms. All of the food was really good and spiced flavorfully. Service was genuinely kind and quick. Will be going black again and again now that I found this gem.

A friend recommended this restaurant as we were struggling to find somewhere to hold 30 people on a Saturday afternoon, and we are extremely glad they did. From our first visit to enquire s couple of weeks ago to see if they could accommodate us Les was very helpful and friendly. He couldn’t do enough to make everything as easy as possible, making it one less thing to worry about.

I can not recommend this restaurant enough.

I’ve visited unos a few times now and can’t complain about the food as it’s always delicious and reasonably priced just the staff annoyed us a bit this time. I was the first one there out of the 4 of us so I was asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered a soft drink so the young girl assumed I wouldn’t need my wine glass and took it away so I asked that I would probably be needing that! We felt pressured to order our food and again certain glasses were taken away assuming we wouldn’t want wine - which we did order a bottle to share. We kept getting asked “is this finished with?” which felt like every 20 mins and got quite annoying. The staff started to clear up outside and felt like they wanted us to leave bearing in mind it was only 9.30 and a couple in the corner were still eating. It wouldn’t put me off going back as the food is lovely and was busy for a Thursday night which does tell you something

Tend to always come here for family birthdays as literally everyone will be happy, young or old! Food is lush, staff are fab, make a fuss and make you feel special if you’re the birthday person. Loving the young waiters, they are very entertaining 👌
