Union Street Bar in Belfast

Been coming here since I turned 18. One of the most underrated bars in Belfast. It’s great craic and absolutely unbelievable food! Can’t wait for it to be open properly again!

Food is absolutely unbelievable!! Ever in Belfast definitely pop into Union Street, you will not be disappointed Staff are very friendly and approachable!

Friends and I visited Union Street with 2 family members for a post lockdown drink and some food.The burgers where beautifully cooked and the drinks where second to none.The service is the high point and getting to know the staff was a pleasure.Shout out to Katy, she is a talented host.

I absolutely love this bar, have had so many happy memories of going here for drinks and dinner with my much loved nephew Rab . Food always superb and the bar staff excellent and so so friendly! One not to miss if you are visiting Belfast City

My friends and I visit Union Street a lot and always have a brilliant time. It’s a great venue with lovely staff, delicious food and drinks, and multiple comfy areas to relax in, what more could you want?

Such a treat after a very difficult year. The staff were so attentive, courteous and friendly. The food was delicious and the beer was ice cold....will definitely be returning :-)

Been going to union street to years but just had to leave a review. The beer garden on the roof is absolutely stunning, definitely a hidden gem in Belfast!Brilliant selection of cocktails and the staff were warm and welcoming, it's definitely a must visit place in Belfast!

Recently visited this bar and after lockdown to finally be able to go for food and drinks is a real treat. From the moment me and my two friends arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome and safe with the regulations in place. The food was outstanding!! Great selection and very tasty! We had some cocktails which were delicious and even though the weather wasn’t great union street bar is certainly making the best of the space they are able to work with! Will certainly be back soon!

Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, we still had an amazing night! The food was incredible and the service was also top notch. Staff super friendly and super helpful with regards to all the new regulations. Can’t wait to be back!!

I have been going to union street past 10 years or so nights out with friends or even with my family for food always very welcoming Staff are so kind, welcoming, and very Attentive with serving drink and food I highly recommend

Just been into Belfast to meet friends for lunch and was told there was a new chef in Union Street Bar & Restaurant and thought that will be OK for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Well we were all totally blown away. The menu choice was excellent but the food was on an other level. We all had different things to eat and tasted a little of each others. The food was outstanding. From a bar restaurant that I would only have went to for fast bar food is now an incredible eating experience and will be going again soon but for dinner. I can't wait to return and if its as good the second time round it will have to be one of the best restaurants in Belfast. Trust me give this restaurant a go you won't regret it. OUTSTANDING food and very helpful staff. Thank you.

After several cancelled nights we were delighted to get out for a very socially distance meal and drinks in Union Street. Amazing set up and it was very obvious from the moment you arrived at the door that the safety of staff and customers were the priority. We were taken to our table and looked after throughout our meal. Thank you to all the staff!!!

El portero es el más antipático que he conocido. Quería mirar por la puerta para ver si queríamos comer allí, pero él no quiso. Así que nos sentamos afuera y bebimos bebidas muy caras en vasos de plástico mientras decidíamos dónde ir a comer. La buena camarera nos sirvió las bebidas.Lugar horrible. Nunca más.

Cuando el personal me dijo 2 precios diferentes por teléfono al intentar reservar una mesa, me dijeron que alguien me llamaría (todavía estoy esperando). Cuando llegamos, el personal de la puerta nos hizo sentir como niños de la escuela, la forma en que nos hablaba, parecía muy desorganizada por dentro a pesar de que solo había otros 4 clientes en el bar. Cuando nos dijeron que teníamos que pedir comida, lo cual es comprensible, pero nunca recibimos la pizza que pedimos, nos sentamos en una esquina en una habitación vacía y cuando se nos preguntó si podíamos movernos donde nos dijeron que todas las mesas estaban reservadas. Entiendo que las cosas no son iguales y yo mismo trabajo en hostelería, pero vamos chicos, ¡estoy seguro de que el uso puede funcionar mejor! !

Vinimos a cenar aquí el fin de semana pasado. El personal de la puerta me tomó la temperatura, pero no la de mi compañero, ni tampoco la temperatura de las dos personas que entraron después de nosotros.Pedimos bebidas, entrantes y platos principales. Esperamos una cantidad considerable de tiempo por nuestra comida. Nuestros platos principales llegaron antes que nuestros entrantes, así que terminamos comiendo ambos platos juntos. Los entrantes eran encantadores, pero los platos principales no eran buenos. Burger estaba muy seco.Las bebidas eran más caras de lo que recuerdo (5,20 por una cerveza de barril). Probablemente no volvería a comer aquí, pero volveré para tomar algo, ya que la música y el ambiente son geniales en general.

We visited Belfast for our anniversary and Union Street Bar absolutely made the trip for us.We went on both Friday and Sunday night and we were blown away by how friendly everyone was. We were given the VIP treatment on both nights, but Sunday night was our favourite.Cabargay was just wonderful. Live singing and lip syncs, bingo, cheap bottles of prosecco. It was heaven!The only downside was that it had to end!

Came here with a friend while staying in Belfast, we arrived at about 9pm on a Sunday evening and weren't too sure what to expect. £4 each entry we thought was reasonable and we found a table too which was great. Place was busy and we got a few drinks before the show started, the drag queens were amazing, performances/singing were spot on as was the humour.There was an 'agony aunt' section as well as drag bingo in between the performances. The Bingo was a good laugh and you had the chance to win £1000! Drinks were reasonable, £11 for 2 Gin & Tonics which I thought was average price.Great night, especially for a Sunday eve the place was buzzing! Wish I lived closer as I would be a regular!

This bar is fantastic, great entertainment and Saturday 5-8pm was hilarious with Tina Legs Tantrum on the trannoke it was laughter from start to finish, her show and wit kept everyone laughing and she was full of energy.....I would recommend going, we had a brilliant time and the place was jumping, great staff and enjoyed every minute, not for the faint hearted. BRILLIANT

We went to the bar on Friday night and watched the cabaret and it was ok, busy with a lovely happy atmosphere.....we went back on Saturday at 5pm for the Karaoke and WOW Tina legs tantrum was in full swing the place was jam packed and she was FABULOUS she kept everyone engaged and entertained and her show was great from beginning to the end (8pm) I would recommend anyone to go, see her she’s the best entertainer I’ve seen in a long while, the staff are warm and friendly and she’s definitely the best asset of the bar....didn’t stop laughing all night and the music was fantastic. FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC DEFINITELY visit the Union St bar it’s a must go. Michele

Went here with work friends for something to eat and trannyoke. Haven't enjoyed myself as much in a long time. The food was good and reasonably priced, and the entertainment was brilliant. Just a fun place to go.

My wife and I called in here on Saturday evening, had a great time. There was karaoke/cabaret on and the place was buzzing, absolutely non-stop. Very friendly, plenty of bar staff, great entertainment. We were sorry to have to go, but we needed to catch a train. Granted, it's probably not for everyone. If your idea of a good evening is a couple of pints down the Legion and an early night, then you should probably give this a miss...

Tried to get in with a group of three friends. However the door man singled one of my friends out and refused entry to her stating she was too drunk. We had all been to a concert that night and had four drinks each so not too drunk. We were told to wait outside for thirty minutes and try again. I waited with my friend and wanted to speak to the door man who completely ignored me so I tapped him on the shoulder to which I was aggressively told off for doing. I explained this was the only way to get his attention as he was ignoring me. He was very snappy and rude and was clearly trying to provoke a reaction from me which he did not get. After waiting for thirty minutes we again asked if we could get in. He told us no and said he told us we weren't getting in from the beginning, which he definitely did not do as we wouldn't have waited for thirty minutes if this was the case. Good door staff should not antagonise customers to the point where other door staff think they are being unreasonable but are unable to go against him as he has already made his decision. My friends and I will never be back such a bad end to what had been a great night.

I have been here many times and have always found staff very pleasant they would go out of their way to help sometimes i feel sorry for bar staff who have to deal with rude customers they are only there to do a job

Ok, I’ve been to this bar many times in my younger years. Came to Belfast for the weekend and my mates told me to “beware” when we went in.

Went here on a saturdaynight round 21 hours. Many hen party’s. More girls then boys 😡 but good service at the bar and nice pop music. Different levels to party. Would go back next time.

Stay away from this dump if your gay they are happy for you to spend your money all night but I used my phone like every other person in the bar and 1 was took out side by the manager an 2 bouncers they said I was taking videos of the bar staff which I was not I then was questioned an told to delete my pics an videos of the night so be aware if your gay an take pics or videos you will be thrown out that that I will be back the place has gone to the dogs needs a deep clean can only imagine what the kitchen would be like

Excellent few nights at this amazing pub, only one thing let the place down - and surprisingly I’m not the only person who has the same opinion. The Blonde haired girl with the black shirt on (presume she was in charge) was an absolute disgrace to your company. Poor attitude, zero customer service skills and generally a very hard faced ****. The bar was great and all other staff were extremely nice and professional however the above mentioned employe was below the standard you would expect in such a well run establishment. My first encounter with this “employee” was when she collected glasses from the table, you would think she would have had some sort of chat, a bit of banter...... no she simply said “gimme that glass”. My second encounter with the above mentioned “employee” was at the bar where i asked for 3 pink gins and lemonade to be told that there was no pink gin and there was no lemonade as she spoke into a little mic attached to her ear piece, Within a matter of seconds she disappeared with no apology or explanation leaving me as a customer standing in a state of shock and confusion. Within a few seconds the other bar girl could serve me gin and lemonade, so why couldn’t your Manager. The third and most classy encounter with the said “employee” was watching her smoke at the door and stub her finished cigarette out on the door of the pub... very classy i must admit. It was with great delight when after spending a good 4 hours in your pub that i commented to the very nice bouncer that the service was terrible and he replied with the quote “i’v never heard anyone say a good word about her”. The fact the bouncer knew who i was talking about is rather worrying. The weekend was perfect and your bar is amazing, please don’t let this employee put a damper on any other customers evenings.

Decided to take staff for a post Christmas night out. We went for a bite to eat and they decided on Union street for drinks after as there was a Karaoke on. We arrived in a few groups totalling 12 people 5 of which were Women. We all got settled and one of the group went to the bar to order drinks.After a few minutes the lone doorman who watched us all enter arrived and all i can describe it as he ordered the ladies to open their handbags to be searched. This was not only embarrassing but also humiliating that they were told to open their bags for a search in the middle of the bar but also by a male doorman.

Called in last night Friday the 19th for some drinks.

Unser Appartment lag gleich um die Ecke, also haben wir uns hier ein paar Pints gegönnt, als wir auf die Nachricht unseres Vermieters warten mussten. Sehr freundliches Personal, eine schön eingerichtete Bar. Und als Krönung durften wir noch einen bekannten nordirischen Schauspieler treffen, der hier einen Kaffee getrunken hat. We visited union street bar on Sunday evening the 2nd of December to have a few drinks and to see the cabergay.

Myself and 7 friends visited on Saturday during a festive city break, having been told about the Trannyoke. We tried to go in for lunch but it was booked up (it was Xmas after all!) but the waiter/barman was really helpful and gave us tips of where else to try in the vicinity, so we had a lovely lunch in the place he recommended, then we came back later for the Trannyoke and drinks. We were not disappointed! Tina was the drag act compering the karaoke, and she was absolutely hilarious! So witty! (Not for the faint hearted or easily offended though!) Some of the people going up to sing/be made a fool of, were clearly regulars and used to the banter as they took it very well! Great fun! Don’t miss this if you’re in Belfast!

As a male identifying queer person having recently moved to Belfast, friends brought me here on a night with a drag performance. I was told that management didn't approve of the way I was dressed and i was asked to leave- despite claims from my group (who are regulars) that females regularly wear what I was wearing at this bar.

Popped over to see the famous Robert & May and in process had my first visit to Belfast and this fabulous pub.

No better place for a Saturday night! Great music, mixed crowd of all ages, great drinks. Can’t wait to come back. Would love to try it for food sometime.

Whilst visiting belfast we were searching for a coffee shop. The coffee shop on our navman took us to the union bar. Navman was wrong but the union bar accepted us in for a much needed coffee and some food. Time was around midday, the bar was empty and the staff were preping for the evening entertainment.

I am utterly disappointed at the treatment in which my group were face with while touring the delights of Belfast (we specifically had met the worst human - security staff) the very handsome 6’3” bearded door man who stood in shock of the attitude of this thing (older door man) refused to let 4 of our group into the Union (because we weren’t regulars) Saturday 1st September

Was here with a group of girls for a 40th birthday on Saturday afternoon. Have never laughed so much! Tina was hilarious and got us all in the party mood. Staff were excellent. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend.

Refused entry because we aren't regulars, now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't but this part of Belfast is a tourist attraction, widely advertised on social media for entertainment nights, it's food , it's drinks promotions and it's great atmosphere, so if it's only for regulars why advertise , is this a rule from the bosses or are your door men just deciding who they let in, totally ignorant door men and need a few lessons in customer service , and shouldn't have passed the s.i.a training for door supervision. Been to this bar many times and never had a problem, if it's because we are a straight couple, well that's a bit shocking, we all drink in the same bars and clubs and we don't all become regulars at places as we like to attend different bars and clubs, your security/doormen(bouncers) need to changed their attitude and telling people this is a regulars only bar is totally shocking , so tourists,go to another part of town, avoid this place go to mavericks they have an all welcome policy, 1 star from me for union Street bar .

Apparently this is a gay bar. Mostly full of hen party types and transvestites - strange mix and rude staff. The door staff are - perhaps - the rudest ever encountered. They've recently opened a rooftop bar - no view and no use. Just don't bother.

Went there to Sunday Bingo last night with my friend. Guy at door was the rudest I have met. Very ignorant and poor manners. Just said £4. And snatched the money. The place was packed. Bingo was good fun. I went to the toilet. Unisex is fine for me but my god what a state. Toilets dirty, floor wet. And no toilet roll in any cubicles. No excuse for this. Disgusting.

We called into our old favourite venue after 4 years away living in England. My niece is gay herself and I always tagged along as the bar was always good fun. We attended the Sunday Bingo which was usually a good nights craic. Well, its very much changed, it was in a different part of the building this time, they had a regular drag act on who was to be fair quite blunt and made jokes which ain't for faint hearted. The "other" acts well, I think they were just some men as guest acts? one had a beard and didnt really entertain to be honest, very bad act, another was quite funny but VERY young.

Was in tonight , place was packed , drinks got very quickly , drinks spilled over the stairs aswell as glass , cleaned up when noticed , reason for the 3* is when I went to the mail toilets upstairs , 1 urinal out of order , only 1 cubical , tap and I mean singular tap , didn’t work so I couldn’t wash my hands , had to tap it to get a bit of water out , went to dry my hands and hey ho hand dryer didn’t work : hand to wait and do in to get toilet roll to dry , no real health and safety going on here at all , hate to think the amount of people that couldn’t wash their hands and touching everything from handles to glasses and banisters etc so literally feel like and have taken a shower on arriving home

Rudest bar staff in Belfast- poorly trained for the most part. Quite a chavvy clientele. Bar is full of cliques especially true of the staff. Not particularly friendly. This bar offers very little moral support to gay people. In fact the bar is becoming more and more of a straight venue. The management's main interest is money making to the detriment of any gay community support. The entertainment needs a good overhaul. On a general level gay people deserve better.

Visited a few times, friendly staff, we seen a drag show on the Monday night which was hilarious and witty. Great drinks promotions and warm atmosphere. Fun place for karaoke nights out.

Visited here as a group of three, one of us was forced to leave the bar for over enthusiastically attempting to pay for a drink. The manager was unable to explain the reasoning stating that the member of our group was rude by waving money. An extremely strange and unusual experience having visited many bars over the years. Would not recommend, obvious lack of experience in management.

From reading the reviews you think the union bar would do something about there unprofessional security staff. We visited on Saturday have booked months in advised after been messed around with booking we final got sorted . We were 3 people celebrating a mini hen for our friend as we had been heavily pregnant during the main one. So this was the first day out for the 2 of us in the best part of year. The food was lovely & we enjoyed the entertainment till we decided to move up stairs 2 get some air. The door man went off on one about not been regulars & been a hen however there was no issue with the fact we been spending our money down stairs all day and had been upstairs earlier

The bar is fun there is many levels and the staff were kept busy and very nice we like the range of drinks

Came with my husband and 4 friends on a saturday afternoon. We got a 3 course meal which was well above average for bar food and the staff were so good getting us extra sauces and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Been a regular at this bar for past 11 years and would not go anywhere else for a drink and great atmosphere. Good service friendly environment and always good for a laugh. This bar knows how to pull in a crowd and always will. 100 times better the Maverick which could learn a heap from Union St if they weren't so stuck up or arrogant. Best door staff in the town no nonsense and do their job to the best.Definatly recommend it to anyone trying out Belfast gay quarter

Was here for a hen party and was having a brilliant time until a member of security shouted at me for dancing at my table and didn't seem to have a problem with other customers also doing the same or the member of staff who was dancing on top of the bar. Overall was a great time until the security member ruined the night for me and the other people of my party.

I didnt eat but the party atmosphere on friday night thrilling,the cabaret was great.I went with friends and we danced the night away.The crowd was very mixed and friendly and the crack was ninety.

Visited a few times during a stay in Belfast. Fun and lively atmosphere with a real mix of patrons. Wonderfully excentric in a modern way with regular entertainment in the lower bar. Despite being busy, we had no problem getting served during the times we were there, especially in the upper bar. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable evening, you would be well served to visit the Union. Enjoy

First time visiting this place and the atmosphere was brilliant. We called in for drinks and something to eat but live music made the atmosphere great. Tranaoke was fabulous and the crowd willing to participate.Food was absolutely lovely wRm and prompt. As we a big group we pre ordered and helped the wait on food. Great portions and very tasty. I just don't even know where to start with this place... To begin with the barman's first job isn't to serve drinks, it's to engage other employees gathered at the end of the bar. A smile, hello, what's the craic...what can i get ya... all seem to have been replaced with blank stares from bar staff. After having to ask what the Happy Hour specials are, happens every time, we decided on pints. The bar staff clueless about wine and the pints are mediocre at best. Avoid the Stella at all costs. Back to the staff, the grossly over poured cocktails all over the bar and down right unfriendliness, I can't believe this is the best Belfast has to offer?? It must be a friendship hire cause they are literally some of thee most unprofessional staff I have ever witnessed in my life. One short-haired, long serving member of barstaff is so unfriendly I can't fathom how or even why she is in customer service. A female manager possibly in all black... handing out McDonalds hamburgers behind the bar to staff on a Friday night, despite the restaurant being open upstairs? Hardly a glowing review for the restaurant. The staff, who aren't actually working hanging around the end of the bar, is ridiculous. This leaves even less interaction with patrons looking drinks due to working staff also hanging around talking. Literally the most unprofessional establishment I have been in....ever....Don't even start me with the sewer smell the place emits from time to time... Thee only redeeming quality of the place are the Drag Queens! Love Glitzy! Top Class! They all deserve a raise!! They keep your customers coming back!!

Myself and a group of mates from Glasgow came for weekend away , this bar was amazing , drag queen was so friendly and music was amazing . make sure you get yourselfs in for bingo on a sunday .

Had lunch here on Friday, just two friends out for a quiet lunch and catchup. We were met by Tommy who promptly served us drinks and gave us menu, on recommendation i had steak sandwich which came with garlic potatoes, coleslaw and pepper sauce, my friend had scampi and chips, both were really tasty. The service is really friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Really good value for money.

After being refused entry to the kremlin despite not being drunk or disorderly etc, we thought we would try our luck with union street just around the corner. Bar man refused entry saying as we were a party of 8 we couldnt get in and we weren't regulars. This was around 11pm. I asked the doorman that considering the kremlin said the same thing why did they proceed to allow 20-30 people in after refusing us?He couldnt give a straight answer, said it wasn't anything to do with him - despite the fact union street and kremlin are linked up and door staff help out at both sides. He eventually said he would see what he could do for us and didn't want any sob stories (kremlin not letting us in) he called a 'manager' and we were allowed in. Turns out the place was half dead for that time on a Saturday night although it was a nightmare to get served at the bar. I went to the other bar downstairs (used to be called shoe factory not sure if still the case). 4 bottles of Coors and 1 bottle of cider was 17.50!! I went back in to the other end and my 3 friends still hadn't been served. Seemed to me they picked and chose who to serve next rather than who was there 1st. Both bars gone down hill in my opinion over the last while. Both need a major shake up. And all this regulars only rubbish needs knocked on the head. Can't become a regular if u don't get in!

Well it is certainly Hen Party heaven on Friday and Saturdays from 5 til 9 (and somewhat there after). It's very narrow , very crowded, hard to get a drink. Good luck getting a seat after 4pm. Once the 'Tranaoke' finishes ( about 9pm) it does easy up a bit and seats become available. There is a night club attached (The Kremlin) but as all the Hens parties went there we didn't bother. Security was good, it had to be as a lot of the ladies were very very intoxicated.

We hired the green room for a meal and drinks for 10+ and had a fantastic night. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We were not hanging about the bar because the service was amazing.

Called in to Union St. for a pint before heading home this evening. Impressed with the service, the bar staff, the music and the general ambience of the place. Alas, with about 1/10 of a pint left to drink we were repeatedly and aggressively told to leave by two of the most intimidating, thuggish bullies it's been my misfortune to encounter. Clearly having had nothing to do in their "bouncing " capacity outdoors they had decided to throw their not inconsiderable weight around inside instead. There was absolutely no reason for this behaviour other than their own urgency to get home as early as possible and indeed both had left the premises within seconds of my own departure. It is a dreadful shame that a company as reputable as that which runs the Kremlin and Union Street, having sold a client a drink refuses to allow them the time to drink it.

This was our first time here and it was enjoyable. We hope to return. We were invited to a post Pride party. The plan was for the six of us to get there by 4pm to hear Barbera Bryceland. We got there 15 minutes late but the door into the stage area still wasn't opened and the place was packed out. Great bar area. There were plenty of friendly bar staff about, so getting drinks was pretty quick. There was a deal with prosecco at £12 a bottle and it was a popular offer. The stage door was open by 4:30 and the semi dark stage area was just crammed with Babs fans within seconds. Ms B came on stage about 4:40 and she was electric from the first song. I didn't expect her to still be singing power ballads three hours later without missing a note. She did take a short break about 6:30, but I reckon she was on stage easily over 3 hours and it was one helluva party with some great banter between the Babs lovers front of stage and the lady herself. She was certainly enjoying herself. So after Babs ended we had to decide what to do next. There was a drag act and bingo planned for later that night but two of our party had tickets for a Kate Bush night at the Black Box. Now I don't know if this makes a difference, but I'm not gay and I'm not a big fan of drag queens. I'm not a big fan of Kate Bush either but Kate won. As we left the party the place was becoming even busier. We had the back of our hands stamped as we left, we were told it was to make it easier to regain entry if we decided to return later. It certainly wasn't a pleasant night outside as we left as it was cold and rainy. The things I'm prepared to do to miss bingo and a drag queen.

Always great place to go never clique. Staff are great banter and cocktails are fun. One of my fave places in Belfast never miss a chance to go

This place should be re named the ice house,because the atmosphere in it is so cold.The staff are not friendly at all They just stand at the till and talk to friends or to themselves totally ignoring the customers.Management needs to inject better service to inprove standards at this bar.

Roof top bar only open a few weeks and already looking unloved and tired. Most certainly not like some of the more upmarket roof top bars that have opened in the city. Bar staff must be over worked and under paid as it most certainly shows in terms of the service they offer to patrons. To be fair anytime I visit I always have a good nite as music is good, but you certainly won't be returning for the love of the staff that is of course unless your a long standing well known member of the local gay community. Very obvious that friends of bar staff etc are treated better than others.

Came here whilst visiting for the weekend, enjoyed a bottle of wine but was rather disappointed with the sangria pitcher as I think they had skimped on the alcohol.Rooftop terrace is lovely on a sunny day, and is the place to be on a lovely D say.

Shocking experience here!! Planned to go here for my hen night, 1 of my friend e-mailed several times and then eventually got through on the phone to try and reserve a table but was told they don't do that, 1st come 1st served. So we arrived to be told if it's a large crowd u have to book and we couldn't come in. We advised we tried to book and were told we couldnt, the bouncer then said it's bank holiday weekend regulars only!! The supposed manager came out and listened to us but said she couldn't go against the door man even though he had no legitimate reason for not letting us in. Absolutely shocking service and the doorman just had a serious chip on his shoulder!! Would not give them a penny of my money!

Went to union street with friends on Saturday night. Had a dispute with a barman about the price of two drinks only to be told too shut the f@&? Up and f@&? Off and screamed at. As a visitor in Belfast this is not how to treat people. The manager came out and said he never heard the barman swear before which must have been a one off. And then the bar man came and verbally confronted me in front of the manager. Having travelled all around the world I have never been spoke too like this from bar staff. Belfast is a nice friendly place but Union street is best avoided. Pity trip advisor does not give a zero score.

Just bought a couple of Vodkas and mixers for 10.95. Yet there is a promotion on for the same order for 7 pounds. Drinks look poor quality and atmosphere crap. Gays taking liberties of gays.

Went here for Sunday night bingo which we never saw as after 3 hours we left. We arrived about 8.45pm. Small crowd. Waiting for show to start. 4 drag queens started show. 2 of the drag queens didn't seem to know the routine. They did 1 song then disappeared. After 5 minutes the show continued. It was constantly like this. The gap between each drag queen was way too long. The only good think was that the music was reasonably apart from them playing wagon wheel at one stage. They proceeded to do an agony aunt section which was very bad. I have been here before probably a Saturday night when the place was good and busy. Very disappointed with the show

This is by far and away the friendliest place on earth. Great music and people. Sunday bingo is something else. ..Fab memories Many thanksXx

Service not good and bar tenders don't care. I waited over 30 minutes for a drink and I told a bar tender and she said "do you think your someone special". I told her that I have my choice to do business. She was really nasty. I went to Mavericks where I finally got a drink. Life's too short. Bartenders are more interested in socializing with each other than serving drinks.

Literally the place to be, gay bars/clubs have came and gone and no where compares to it, nobody can do it like Tina legs tantrum she always delivers, you'll go somewhere else because they have someone playing that you like but you'll always end up there, no matter what people say you'll never get a better gay community, everybody knows your business but everybody's got your back! Tina will welcome you, love you and sleg to death all at the same time, I dare you walk across that stage while she's on, she'll slap you with the hand she feeds you with! If anyone's in Belfast you HAVE to attend Union street to experience the best and the most welcoming gay scene there is!

Brilkiant venue and entertainment! I can't recommend this place enough for all age groups! laugh a minute and the music is fab!

Wow! I couldn't recommend this more. The talent, performances and laughs had at the show have made this one of the most talked about lgbt nights in Ireland. Everyone is made to feel welcome and you are guaranteed a fun night. Just make sure you get down early as the seats fill very quickly. Tina and the girls will make this a night to remember and you'll see for yourself just why it has such a great reputation.

Go to see the Sunday bingo show on a regular occasion, always have a laugh, have brought many friends over the years and they've all loved it. Also a great place for food, friendly staff and always made to feel very welcome. Tina and the girls always go out of their way to make sure everyone's enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend it if you're visiting the area,you won't be disappointed. Just be sure to get down early as it can be very busy and you'll want a seat close to the front. Trannyoke is also brilliant on a Saturday afternoon, always a full house and never a dull moment. Again, if you want food for the show, book early.

I'd heard about this show through a friend who was visiting from the states so wanted to see for myself. Drag shows aren't usually my thing but I will definitely be back. It was hilarious and very entertaining. Staff were friendly and the bouncers, despite being busy, were courteous and helpful. Shocked at reading other reviews on this as I couldn't fault the place one bit.

Probably the Sunday night entertainment in Belfast! Amazing atmosphere, friendly bar staff, and hilariously talented entertainers. I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting the city to check out the Sunday Bingo Show - you will certainly not be disappointed! The show starts around 10pm, with a complete show line up, and a good game of bingo in there too. They also do a great food menu during the day too! Doesn't matter if you're gay or straight, there's something for everyone!

Not gay myself but felt so welcome and didn't know what to expect but boy was it some craic. Ive been 4-5 times now and my friends who are not open minded at all have all cameNow and can't wait to return again. The atmosphere is amazing the drinks offers are excellent and we all can't wait to return. Drag queens keep the show going and you never know what to expect which is brilliant. I can honestly say it's the best place to go to on a sunday night and although I haven't ever been during the week I always hear good things.

Union Street Bar hosts some of the best nights out Belfast has to offer. Part of the Kremlin complex this bar and adjoining building The Show Factory are home to some of the best entertainers in Belfast. There is something on every night, but the weekends are busiest and bring the best talent to the stage. Thursday nights you have Karaoke with the sensational Trudy Scrumptious and Robert Brown. These part can carry a tune and bring sass to every show. Friday nights you can catch the internationally renowned Glitzy Glamour and guests bringing you some camp variety / entertainment.Saturday from 5pm is international award winning Tina Leggs Tantrum bringing you fun, frolics, karaoke and mayhem in the bar. This show is completely unscripted but you are guaranteed a laugh. Sunday nights in Show Factory (entry via Union Street Bar) is the Sunday Bingo Show. Tina Leggs Tantrum is back on stage with an always changing cast. The show is by far the best Sunday night out on the Belfast Gay scene. Union street is a popular bar and is always busy. The staff are friendly enough too. Remember it's a bar, not a hotel. You will have to wait to be served on busy nights. Drag queens don't often have a filter, if you are easily offended then don't go. Simple.

I attended the Union Street Bar recently and I cannot honestly say how highly I thought of this place. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and Tina and the other drags were great craic on stage. It was totally new experience for me and cannot say how great the place was. It is a most see for anybody looking a great night out in Belfast.

Wen't here on Saturday night, the best part was the staff who were very friendly, but apart from that, no positives.The place is a filthy hole, everything about the place was grimy and disgusting, and to top it off one of the toilets were leaking and excrement was leaking through the ceiling and running down the walls, but yet they still saw fit to keep the place open without having it fixed first!Drinks are expensive, music not the best, and clientele rough as a badgers behind. Safe to say I won't be back!

Myself and 2 friends arranged to meet another friend after our meal out on Tuesday , went it got a drink from the bar , terrible game thing being played on stage and is that dj still playing the same old malarkey , my goodness it's the 21st century , couldn't hear ourselves and couldn't stand the out of date music and " entertainment " , didn't even finish our drink we got up and went across to the Maverick where it was more chilled out where we sat having a few bottles of prosecco until closing

Came in on lazy Sunday afternoon, got two pints of beer and above average burger and fish. We liked the music, staff was quick and polite and we would have stayed longer if we had more time.

I have visited here several times for food. Unfortunately on several occasions when we arrived they stated they either stopped serving food or aren't taking walk in's despit being within the restaurant opening times on their website. This was generally on a friday night or saturday when i would most want to visit for food. The restaurant opening times seem very erratic and seem to opening and close as they please without notifying customers via social media etc. When we visited and food was being served the food was generally quite nice. It is typical pub grub however the last meal was disappointing. They serve heverlee beer which is great however can be a dodgy pint depending on who pours it. Overall with the inconsistency we have ended up visiting the titanic bar which is great and consistent for food. Disappointing really would assume this is down to poor management.
