only two tables with customers - they ran out of avocado (fairly important in a japanese restaurant) - otoro sashimi had sinew still attached, so we had to ask to remove from the bill as was inedible - the lamb chops were raw + also removed from the bill. our 2nd beer took 10 mins to arrive. not a great experience !

Small and cosy restaurant. Rather minimalistic. Excellent service. However in terms of Japanese food, nothing special. Matcha ice cream was rather nice though. Best to book.

I used to go to Uni frequently. Since they moved to their new location, the service is non existent. Stay away from it.

Fantastic food and lots of choice. Cocktails are excellent. Service was outstanding offering knowledge of dishes and choice. We will certainly go back very soon.

Good location and good food but looking in atmosphere- very quiet and staff were friendly but lacking finesse.

Really really good food if a little odd as it’s now in a hotel. It’s my goto in Victoria as I en jo y the food so much. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent. Not cheap, though I guess this is central London. Surprised that there was no one else in the restaurant all the time we were there, from 6pm onward on a Saturday night. Service was good, not above and beyond. All in all, good choice for a birthday celebration and I would probably go back.

Lovely new restaurant in a great location and hotel. Fantastic menu and food. Staff were observant, knowledgeable and helpful. I’d happily recommend Uni!

Food was excellent. Service good. Had the place all to ourselves. Fatty tuna and Eel sashimi were awesome as was the black cod. Tacos were too small to bother with. Beware though. The music was straight from 30 years ago. Celine Dion, Country and Western, Macarena, Spice Girls

Had a wonderful meal here this evening, love the mix of Japanese and Peruvian dishes to chose from. We picked a number of dishes to share, all were so good, amazing flavours and presentation. The black cod was out of this world, lovely mochi to finish too, service also great, very attentive Indian waiter. Loved it here, really nice dining room too with good chilled music. Hope this place gets good custom as we were the only diners, the food is amazing so deserves popularity, as mentioned the miso black cod dish was as good as many a Michelin star dish I have had in the past.

Recently moved location, but same great menu and quality of food. Hidden gem and must go to place for asian food

The food was absolutely amazing, unfortunately overshadowed by the most rude totally uninterested female host. Mohammed our waiter was thankfully outstanding, his politeness and cheerful manner saved the evening.

I had dinner with my wife and some friends on Saturday. We sat in a comfortable and private alcove, which was charming. We ordered a selection of several small plates to share, along with a couple of bottles of an excellent Malbec. We had a selection of the mochi to end the meal, all of which were delicious. The food was all perfectly prepared and the staff were pleasant, accommodating and available when we wanted them. The food was all delicious and the four of us all had a great time. We’ll be back on our next visit to London.

I’ve come to Uni a number of times now and the service is always incredible. The food truly speaks for itself, as it’s outstanding. Having grown up in Los Angeles, this sushi is as good as what I’ve had, it’s a slice of home away from home (and the drinks are also superb). I’ll be back, 100%.

Amazing food. Mostly very friendly service. One of the ladies serving had a really miserable demeanour and although she delivered the food with zero problem, she was not friendly at all. The man that served us was excellent. Marked it down for ‘value’ as it was really expensive - I think the cocktails did it for us! The food was stupendous though. We will be back for another special occasion.

Food Everything we tried were super delicious and fresh including the food and cocktails. The black cod was outstanding which came with rice. The reason for a 4 is the wagyu which was disappointing. Tasted very bland, it was tender but not juicy. Service The staff were always present and we were well looked after. Very accommodating and helpful. Ambience Quiet, relaxed which adds to the dining experience Overall, great food, drinks and service. Will return!

Nice sitting Outside but the quality of the food apologies for being brutally honest was not fresh or good. Not good sushi for the price, the gyozas were fried and not steamed. The fish was not fresh. It’s a lovely location that you would think the owners would have top quality fresh 🍣 sushi. Maybe you real Japanese chefts who know fresh fish.

Food decoration is good but if they put more efforts on the actual foods will be even better, all sushi we have the rice all loose out, may be use spoon to eat is much easier Overall experience is won’t come again or recommend unless you just want to Just See the foods presentation

I visited London in our holidays and we had a wonderful night visiting this London foodie hidden spot. They have a great Nikkei food menu. The peruvian section of the side is short but well selected, we enjoyed also the Japanese Robata section with the traditional Miso black cod and the wagyu fillet which to me were of premium quality and balance with the Naso Miso Aubergine and the chargrilled asparagus. We had some cocktails and they were beautiful in look and flavor, my wife was impressed with the pisco sour. Service was great, the staff was attentive overall experience 9 out of 10. The only con is that the toilets are so small so its difficult to use the wc facilities for big people. Definitively we will come back!

The staff were super attentive and the food surpassed expectations. We had the bonus of one of the private areas downstairs and we asked for a selection of their favourite dishes; truly fab-u-lous. Nora is lovely; thank you. We had a great night out

Excellent food and beautiful setting. Really unique with the concept of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Not the cheapest but the quality is so good it’s definitely worth it! Great cocktail selection

This is a very good sushi spot, we had crispy squid and prawn gyoza for starters. Be warned portions are very small. We then had tacos and sushi for mains. All very tasty but again the tacos were really tiny. The quality is top notch, prices are reasonable, staff were friendly.

Popcorn shrimps were to die for, and fish was exceptional! Lovely staff and service, I can’t rate this place highly enough. It’s firmly on my radar now when ever I’m in London, and super convenient as near to Victoria Station.

Booked this restaurant last minute through a Google search and it did not disappoint. On arrival, staff were really polite and attentive. Nora was amazing - very informative, friendly with great guidance around food and recommendations. Nice atmosphere. Only improvement would be the size of the tables. The tables are really small and not much space between tables. However, food and service more than made up for it. Compliments to the Chef! Would definitely come here again. Thanks team!

I had a lovely dinner at UNI with a friend. The service was helpful, the food was good-both of us have spent time in Japan and so can be easily disappointed- and the ambiance was quiet and relaxed. Great cocktails and a small but well chosen menu.

The service and sushi were both excellent- we had a lovely evening - will definitely be returning. Really friendly staff.

Great meal at UNI - we went on a Wednesday night. Unfortunately the top table was not open but the general restaurant area was lovely, the food was great (and very fresh) and the service was attentive but not overbearing.

What a stunning restaurant! The food was exquisite and staff spent time explaining the menu. We had a wonderful evening. We are sorry that we do not live nearer so we can go regularly! We will definitely go back when we are next in London.

Fantastic food and drinks in a quirky yet friendly environment. Only downside is the lack of staff (service was polite and very friendly, just short of staff as a result of Covid). If the seat heights of the benches could be lowered in future refits, that would also be more comfortable! But otherwise, a lovely new discovery! A secret Belgravia gem!

Came here for a quiet 21st was so so lovely. Food was delicious and the wait staff and chefs were very friendly. Really recommend the sashimi which tasted divine. Even bought me a free ice cream with a candle! Was perfect for a quiet intimate evening and would definitely recommend. 💕
