Excellent quality food, absolutely buzzing atmosphere (although it was Iftar on night before Id al fitr) and very friendly service. Would definitely recommend

Nice food, albeit a bit pricey for what it was. The service was quite bad- our waiter was moody, wiped the table crumbs onto my lap and didn't tell us he only accepted cash until the end of the meal... Won't be returning sadly

it's recommended. The main store is in Dalston, but this store is closer, so I've been going here lately. Try ordering the Lamb ribs. Comes with salad and rice. The image of rum will completely change. Corkage will be charged, but you can bring your own wine.

Best Turkish mean I have ever had. All the food was perfectly cooked and very tasty.

Umut 2000 with the Ocakbasi (charcoal grill) glowing away at the front of the restaurant and the chefs busy rotating the kebabs provides good theatre. Mains come with a bowl of çoban salad, salad, onion salad, roasted onions in pomegranate plus humus and cacik! That's a good meal in itself when mopped up with warm flat bread soaked with kebab juice. Kebabs are made fresh to order and arrive tender and tasty. The staff are friendly and informal. With such an expansion of places to eat in Green Lanes, Umut retains its individuality and high standards. Those in the know rate this place as the best in Harringay for grilled kebabs and chops.

The lamb chops were meaty, flavourful, smoky, crispy all at once - so good you’ll nibble them right down to the bone. Try the quail too. Thank you for an amazing meal!

I will now share my great regret. Then I will continue my review of this restaurant. I'm at a restaurant in north London. I didn't go to Umut 2000 Ocakbaşı Haringay restaurant because I was a little lazy. I am extremely sorry. But from now on I will never be lazy. I have eaten at many restaurants that serve Turkish food, but now someone has to say this. Stop using that spicy salt that you use for grilling and that makes every grilled dish the same. This spice has nothing to do with Turkish cuisine. And also, the salt it leaves in your throat and burns your nasal passages also ruins the meat you eat. I ate all over Turkey, even in the villages. I don't know who suggested such a terrible spice to restaurants, but if you go to Turkey, you will see that the dishes you eat have nothing to do with the real ones. Umut 2000 Ocakbaşı does not do this. Even though Umut 2000 Ocakbaşı is not exactly the taste I was looking for, they have the best presentation and food in London. And also the prices are extremely reasonable. I congratulate the whole team. I will never eat kebab anywhere else again. I apologize to you too, Umut2000 Ocakbaşı, for my laziness. Visited Umut2000 with a few friends and got a variety of starters and mains. This place is a hidden gem. The lamb chops are probably the best I’ve had in London in terms of portion size, quality and flavour. The staff are also very welcoming and also received a few additional houmous plates on the house. Definitely be back here.

I looooove Umut! It is my go to Turkish restaurant, I get the same thing every time and I’m never disappointed! I get the grilled chicken and bulgur rice (would highly recommend) and the pricing is pretty reasonable,T he atmosphere is so comfortable and cozy, and the staff can not do more for you, the toilets are clean, il not eat at any other Turkish restaurant. The only downside is, I love my Turkish tea, and I hate to constantly have to call the waiter over for more tea, what would be ideal (for me anyway) would be to have a small tea pot at my table to fill up when I’m low on tea. That being said, I have never had a bad experience at Umut and I would suggest this place to anyone who asks me for a decent Turkish restaurant

We ordered a big platter for 2. It had a little bit of everything, the best was the humus and the lebnah soooo good that sauce they put on top of it has to be one of the most creatures things I have tried in a long time! You must try!

The most delicious kebab I have ever eaten in London. Especially the liver and ribs were truly legendary! We tried all the appetizers, all of them were really delicious. Staff and Ercan Bey are also very hospitable and friendly. Delicious food and nice conversation of these nice people made us very happy. I strongly recommend it to everyone. Michellin of Haringey. Mouth watering ribs, delicious starters and the thin crispy bread pressed against the cooking meats flavouring it with the marinade... Forget the other dazzling decor and over priced menus. Umut 2000 is the gem.

İdare eder. 2 kişilik menu soyledik icindeki pilavi azdi. Kanatlar desen kucucuk. İcindeki pirzola gibi etler neyse artik kucuktu. Bence biraz daha dikkat etmeliler. Ekmek bitti ekmek istiyorsun sacma garsonun takip etmesi gerekiyor. Umarim daha iyi olur. Lezzet kalitesi guzel ama malzemeden kismamak lazim. Mesela raki soyluyorsun su ister misin diye soruyorlar bu da buranin modasi sanirim. Getirdigi su da 500 ml :) raki icen adama su sorulmaz ki ;) neyse umarim daha iyi bir mekan olur.

If there was an option to give no stars I would. Absolutely shambolic. Ordered 2 wraps and a mix chicken container that came to 40 pounds when the driver arrived (no way near what i paid previous times) and the food was wrong it came really cold and flavourless. Literally the salad in the wrap had more flavour than the meat itself. Definitely avoid theres so many places in Haringey, you don’t need this dry food trust me guys. Go somewhere else!

Ordered the mixed kebab deal which had a bit of everything on a bed of bulgur wheat. The meat was all very well cooked, the shish had a good texture and good flavour to boot. The bread was delicious although there was a lot of it. Luckily I had enough for breakfast. Good all round experience. Good value. Great community and great food.

We didn't expect to find the best Turkish food that we've ever eaten down a street in North London. Simple, perfectly-executed, delicious food, and lots of it. There's a good reason the restaurant was completely packed when we arrived and still packed when we left.

Best kebab in London for sure! Well seasoned and so fresh and tender. Comes with great portions of different salads and very tasty. Only downside would be the portion sizes are small for the price.

I think Umut 2000 makes extremely delicious food. The salad and sides here were a little different from the food at most of the Turkish restaurants on Green Lanes. I also enjoyed the cosier, private feel as a lot of the bigger places really cram in the tables.

I’ve been to this place many times before and I had a great service. My friends and I always traveled to this place from other side of London just for the great food and friendly service. Unfortunately, this time was a completely different service because of the rude attitude of the waiter. Most of the staff here speak Turkish and previously we always talked Turkish with the waiters so we asked question in Turkish but he replied in a very rude manner, this is London, you can speak in English! He was very rude, he could have politely answered, sorry guys I dont speak Turkish. Anyway, then we gave the order in English but he kept being very rude.. We are very disappointed, not planning to come here again... I think management should teach their waiters to be friendly and polite! You might have good food but if your service is very poor, you will never be appreciated.

There is a huge Turkish population in Harringay and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to Turkish cuisine. I was only there for a few days so had to take pot luck. Best grilled kebabs in London by far

Great traditional Turkish grill restaurant. Mostly grilled meat and chicken dishes, but I'm vegetarian and had a great slow cooked vegetable kebab. Really recommend it, much smaller than others nearby and great service.
