Lunch time tends to be quiet and the environment a bit chilly but the food is always good. The discounted menu of 50% is excellent.

This is a review for their takeaway delivery food: If you like dry and almost burnt kebab style food then this is the place you need to order from. We ordered a mixed grill which contained the usual chicken and lamb mixed bits of meats along with some rice and a small tub of salad (1 piece of tomato and some lettuce) but no sauce at all. I would honestly be embarrassed to serve this to anyone. Perhaps they were just having a really bad night?

More than a bad experience. I do not recommend it at all. High prices and the service is the worst in Britain. There is no respect for the customer. Advice for God’s sake. No one tries and loses. A philanthropist 😁

If I could I would give 0 stars. Extremely disrespectful staff for a whole £15 which mentions a mix grill platter on the menu they didn’t give any platter or a proper mix grill they only gave one plate which was full of salad a few odd chips some rice and a very small portion of the chicken that couldn’t even feed one person let alone as a mix grill for two people. The burger was cold after waiting 45 minutes for the food so I asked them to reheat which they did but were rude and calling after me whilst I’m walking to the table. Would not recommend the shwarma burger at all the shwarma wrap was okay but too bland and plain no spices or taste involved at all. At that point I just wanted to eat my food I was really hungry after the long wait yet one arrogant small minded waiter came by to pick a fight with me when it wasn’t even my own food I sent to get warmed as had come with friends and didn’t want anyone to eat cold food. Anyways he came to our table specifically to pick a fight with me and ruin our food more than it was already. Absolutely disrespectful waiters not a restaurant in any terms downright sexist men attacking on us ladies that were on our own and think they get away with disrespecting women since there was no man with us. I don’t know if they were Muslim but if so then astagfirullah as we are Muslim too but know respect when it is shown and this was absolutely disgusting there’s no words that can explain how they made me feel. These words do not sum up how much anxiety and how much those stupid men disheartened me and tried to fight me for no reason when it was their own fault. The food was raw if you go then go at your own accord because the raw chicken will make you ill. Absolutely disgusted appalled and for the first time in my life it will be my first time and last time at a soo called restaurant but more of a takeaway.

I was recommended by a friend, so we went for lunch, walking in felt being on holiday! The music and decoration was perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had a halloumi wrap and a yoghurt drink which I can't remember the name of but it was so tasty. Definitely going to go again.

Amazing deals on at the moment with no compromise on quality of food. Shawarma and rice was delicious, flafel wrap was yum too slight criticism would be the temperature of food. Freshly squeezed orange juice and lemon juice very refreshing would be delicious with some ice in it

Says open, ordered online and nothing turned up... only checked bank to find refunded transaction and not bothered to inform us .....

Hmm 🤔Jury's out. I'm not sure I'll try it again and see. I had a chicken wrap. Had to ask the guy serving not to serve my food with the same gloves he was cleaning with. He was asked to change them. I wasn't asked what I wanted in my wrap they just did as they pleased. I paid 50p extra for rice? There was hardly no rice or chicken in the wrap. It did taste ok, but it would have been better if I chose what I wanted in it. I'll give them one more chance to rectify their service!!☝🏾

All foods comparatively 20-30% less priced compared to the Turkish restaurants in Nottingham and Derby. But the taste is not that great. Quantity was poor. Awesome interiors.

Can’t believe that I paid £11 for 5 tiny cubes of burned chicken and iceberg with 3 paper thin slices of tomatoes 🤦‍♀️ I think this is why you have to pay upfront. And it’s soo dirty

This is the worst restaurant in huddersfield, treats customers badly, kicked us out for no reason. physically pushed us, cursed at us. would nit recommend to anyone at all. plus their food is not fresh at all. they serve food three days old, so prepare for a good time in the toilet.

The experience at the Ugarit food restaurant was fantastic, with the highlight being the delicious shawarma. The restaurant also boasts a clean and tidy atmosphere, making for an overall great dining experience. I recommend this restaurant to all who love Middle Eastern food such Buryani and Shawarma. The location is good, almost in city centre.

I’m a frequent customer here. I was hooked from the get go. I absolutely love the vibe of the Ugarit, the arabic music adds to the authenticity of the food and the whole experience. The staff is friendly and the restaurant will really give your moneys worth. Highly recommend heading down and enjoying some of their food. Staff was very unprofessional and rude! After taking the money and making the shisha they bothered to ask for ID. When asked for refund they didn’t seem quite happy and spoke in a rudely manner. Wouldn’t recommend going is not worth the money and time.

Excellent dining experience at this restaurant - authentic, fresh and healthy food and a great menu with loads to choose from. I’m vegan so loved the fact there was loads of options for me. There are meat options too for any meat eaters. Friendly, professional staff. Nice decor in the restaurant too!

Customer service absolutely great, wow just 10/10 very impressed with the treatment. Shisha flavour absolutely great, very flavourful and the smoothest smoke. I recommend everyone to visit there.

Fantastic food of Syrian, Lebanese origin. The owner Ghassan, specifically takes care of all of his customers and ensures that they have a great experience. The food is authentic and afterwards you can enjoy an authentic shisha in a family friendly atmosphere upstairs in a designated rooftop area. The prices are perfect for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend anyone to have a meal and a pleasant evening here, especially after a visit to the theatre which is on the same road.

We popped in here before going to see a show at the LBT as it was one of the few places open on a Tuesday. It's been on my list to try for a while in my attempt to try everywhere in Huds at least once. I wasn't sure what I was expecting from Syrian and Lebanese food but it was delicious and every dish was served piping hot. The host was polite and food was delivered quickly. Even the drinks were flavoursome, the Turkish coffee had a great depth of flavour and the lemon juice with mint was a great accompaniment to the food. The food itself was spicy but not hot, flavour was not compromised at all. Would absolutely recommend, a fantastic atmosphere and we left feeling pleasantly full and comforted.

A pleasant dining experience. Lovely interior and was kept clean and covid safe. Ordered a variety of different items on the menu and was very well priced. The tawouks were very nice and portion size was good for 2 people, the rice was fluffy and not greasy like other places. When you order a portion of chips, you actually get a good sized portion of chips! The meat was a little tough (shish tawouk) to bite into but the chicken was cooked and spiced perfectly. The starter meatballs were nice but lacked spice, they had a separate chilli sauce, just drizzle that on and it tasted good. Overall nice experience, would recommend to anyone it's something different. Parking is on the main road, £2 for 1 HR 30mins.

I found the eatery by chance and selected dishes based on descriptions. So very pleased with quality of food. Portions were large and I have enough left for 2 more meals. Will definitely order from them again. I used them in lockdown and food was well packed and delivered well via Just Eat.

Came here for food with my friend the food was good !!! But after a few hours we started getting stomach ache and got sick.. i wouldn’t recommend it to be honest.

My mum & I visited for evening meal, we fancied something a little different with healthy options. We both shared the cold 'dips' mezze to start and also had the same main of mixed kebabs with rice & salad, both were huge portions. The rice was the nicest we've ever had, so tasty and quite possibly my favourite part of the meal! Service was friendly & relaxed, added bonus of a taste of baklava with the bill went down a treat.

Excellent Syrian food. Shawarma was great as they use top quality lamb. Vegetarian Mezze is another great offering.

Such a big disappointment. First of all food was plain and tasteless. Lebanese cuisine is full of flavour so we were shocked. Then another disappointment about service. We were waiting over 30 min for salad starter! The waiter forgot to bring cutlery and tissues... On the end they overcharged us and refused to give a receipt... Realy can't recomend this place.

Went with 4 friends. Frozen lamb for starters and didn't get any better with the mains. The restaurant was freezing, no wonder it was empty. The waitress argued that the food wasn't cold even though the meatballs were frozen in the middle... Then tried to charge us for all the meals... Even though one was sent straight back and wasn't replaced. Very poor.

We visited for the first time for lunch. We had the spicy chicken and mixed meat skewers which came with either rice or chips and we were very happy with our meals.There were lots of chips and the rice was different to what we have had before in a very nice way. Good portion size and well priced.We also liked the unusual decor and the Moroccan style lamps

I was looking for a restaurant close to a venue i was visiting, Ugarit was just round the corner and as I enjoy middle eastern food was a natural choice.

We have had a lovely meal in the restaurant, lots of choice and lovely staff, yesterday we visited the new Shisha Bar which is very good, a nice place to call in and have coffee and cakes, we would like to wish Ghassan and his staff all the very best

This place definitely deserves the number 1 spot on Tripadvisor. The food is delicious, the portions are great and very reasonably priced. 2 from our group had never tried Lebanese food before and was blown away by how tasty the food was. I had the chicken wings for starter, lamb and chicken shawarma with rice for main. The restaurant even gave us some baklavah as a thank you for our custom! Although they did not serve alcohol they do serve non alcoholic beer. Lovely place will definitely recommend and come back again.

Popped into town for a few drinks and decided to try Ugarit menu had plenty choices some unusual mixtures. Having never eaten Lebanese before I played it safe with halloumi starter and a chicken skewers main my colleagues chose chicken wraps chicken biryani and lamb in yogurt with rice, the food was well presented and tasted delicious the chicken was really tender and moist I loved the terrines of yogurt given with each dish my favourite , staff were attentive and friendly and the restaurant had an authentic feel to it . The whole bill was £45 which was amazing value I would definitely eat here again

We looked for something different to eat while visiting family in Brighouse. They normally cook a big roast for us all but as they had just returned from a trip down south we suggested we order something in.. I love Lebanese quinine having been introduced to it in London by my half Lebanese boss so after a search online, suggested we try Ugarit.

Good quality food and, above all, healthy; especially the grilled cuisines. The service was professional (^__^) S*, and fast. I would definitely recommend it for those who love Middle Eastern dishes.

I went with my family 2 adult and two kids we paid more than £75 this an Believable and the food was disgusting cheap food i will never go there again and I don't advice any body go there he is butcher.

Jumped in here for a light lunch and was thorough impressed. I ordered the wrap as I was too hungry for a snack and the wrap was yummy! Fresh ingredients and good quality meat. Polite staff and good value.
