We were approached upon entry by a couple who appeared to look like a flasher in an anorak and a man with something strange hanging from his mucal cavties which I believe was someone else's dog for tomorrow and not on the menu that evening undoryOnce we settled in the food was lovely and my son spent 3 hours in the toilet with the owner looking for my £150 he lost in there! The fishcake we shared was £22 quite cheap after paying £33 for 3 flat pints of red stripe. And no Trevor we didn't know GWARN was the name of your flick knife. Won't hurry back it smells of sewage

I would like to revisit this place after having gone in the past. However each time I go it’s closed. We planned to have an evening meal here today, still closed, no answer on the phone and the mobile number on the door doesn’t even work. Very disappointing. It’s such a shame as it’s one of the only nice places in the area. I’m sure they would do very well.

Lynn, Trevor and co are always welcoming and this occasion was no different. They offer the type of customer care that high end restaurants struggle to match. Its a real family vibe there and the food is of a standard to match. Both excellent.

Delicious food and freshly cooked. We had Jerk chicken and seabass with rum and cream sauce. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Seabass was flavourful. Family run restaurant that made you feel welcomed. Place decor is warm and inviting. Clean and pleasing . Highly recommend Tyne on the waterfront

Genuinely the best carribean food I've had at a restaurant. The curry goat was exceptional and the presentation was immense. Gorgeous family run restaurant, and the entire family was so attentive, friendly and funny! We had such a lovely evening and will be inviting friends and whoever will listen to join me on the next visit. Amazing food, firm yummy cocktails and a lovely environment. We went to this restaurant on sunday, on arrival the welcome was so nice. We ordered our food. We got jerk chicken and a fish starter, which was amazing. Got 2 kids meals one was mac and cheese which was very nice and the other was chicken nuggets which was basic and not really worth 8.99. For the main we got goats curry, which was really nice. Cocktails were really nice too. I will definitely go back, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, and the staff were amazing (the main reason I would go back)

Attended here today for drinks and lunch after a funeral. The food ..service and ambience was second to none. Lived all my life and thinking ...why have I never been here. I will now....Thankyou guys for making this day extra special....

Food was good. Salmon and coconut ice cream were delicious, but the side food they gave not really. One thing I didn't like was they say You have a free wifi in the restaurant, but when I asked the lady for password she refused to give it to me as everyone from houses upstairs will use it. 😒

Wow what a concept Upper floor was closed great atmosphere in the basement. £12.00 for a chicken drumstick but great dancers. Thanks. Chairs were a bit sticky and toilets stank

I go church and would never eat with him or his kind. I drive a Bentley and there ain't no park on dis housing estate. Cheap food wrapped in gimmicks and not proper. The curry was dry and expensive and what the do with the coconut rusk wash it ip? Tut tut. Bad hygiene nice people well the white woman wasn't too nosey. Food wasn't great very pricey

Nice place for a quite drink over looking the Marina. Parking can be s slight challenge in the Grand Union Village.

I hardly write reviews but this one is needed. Not what we expected from all the apparently excellent reviews. Over priced for tiny portions. I ordered the curry goat which was salty, dry, tough and not tender. Rice & peas had no favour and not cooked properly as it was hard. Would never go there again. However the service was good & friendly.

This was a 5 star experience for us easily exceeding its 4 star rating . Hoping to go again soon after our trip

Went last night for food after only ever having a drink in there, food was amazing could eat all day there, very welcoming, all social distancing and clenleyness was spot on to!!

Excellent food everytime I’ve been there, staff are friendly and always happy to accommodate any requests, also held a birthday dinner there and the staff were great allowing me in beforehand to decorate table etc great place good prices and good portions and variety to choose from well worth a visit

Nice decor, good ambiance, the house live jazz player is a nice touch if a little too loud to have an easy conversation. This is only let down by the food, it wasnt terrible, the salmon was over cooked, lacked a bit of flavour. The staff were helpful.

We came here on Saturday and my crazy lot took over the restaurant...the food was amazing. The staff (family run) were all really fun, friendly and attentive. The mac cheese is a must and the jerk wings were superb! We will be back for sure..great night of food, song and laughter.

Good Caribbean restaurant are hard to come by l when there for the first time with my work colleagues for a Christmas dinner. The atmosphere and venue was lovely. This was made even more pleasant by the hospitality of the staff. They were very attentive to all our needs. I will be going back as their apparently do a Sunday jazz lunch. Well done.

I took my wife as it used to be an Indian restaurant. My wife ordered a starter and main and I went outside for some air. It smelt awful and I had to return to drink my warm beer and pay for wifeys £18 mutton curry! Apparently its situated on the boats sewage tank pumps from the marina!!! Chelsea games are better value and smell less. Bloody awful experience tbh

I have been here a few times and I have to say the food is great and keeps getting better. Lin isa great hostess. My advice for dessert get the rum and raisin.

Service was good, but this by far has been the Worst Caribbean food I've ever tasted. The price & portion was absolutely ridiculous, ordered the curried goat with the rice & peas which I absolutely regretted, I had one taste & left everything on the plate, the best tasting thing on the plate was the plantain. It was my first time visiting & it will definitely be the last!

This is a little restaurant which is going places with quality food and good entertainment

Probably the worst meal ever: More gristle than gamon, no effort was made to even disguise the tasteless mashed potato was made up with water from a packet? an abundance of under cooked swasonal veg. The only redeeming factor is the push button dolly in the kitchen couldn't mess up the Aunt Bessies. Sadly I had to pay on ordering. Do not eat there.

Have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while & never got round to it. Was amazed to hear that Thyme has been here over for nearly 3 years. I cannot fault the food (Caribbean) or the friendly staff here. The only recommendation I would make is to add more choice of wines to their menu. Got chatting to one son of the owner & he mentioned that they have entertainment on Sunday’s so will definitely be returning.One more thing I forgot to mention is the excellent music they have playing in the background (soul & RnB). You can tell the owners have excellent taste in music. We will return with friends.

Beautiful establishment considering the circumstances of the event taking place. The and the Funeral Directors, Restaurant and Bar staff catered extremely well for our every need on the day. Family and friends nationwide and worldwide, in sickness and health attended and their needs, as everyone else, was also addressed as all and sunder.

What an absolutely lovely place. Great Caribbean food, wonderful service. From the minute I walked in I felt as though I were part of a family. Greeted with such warmth. The service and delicious food was second to none. We were treated to some nice easy listening music whilst we had our meal and the view was simply gorgeous. The staff so attentive and personable. Food just kept coming out and on time along with some lovely cocktails. This place has all the elements for a beautiful evening out with family or friends.
