What a delightful place, been here a few times and it has a lovely ambience and the staff are very welcoming but if you want to book a table then it can help with seating arrangements upstairs.

Came here for lunch withe two friends, none us os from Skipton, but we came here based on the good Google reviews, and the reviews were spot on. We were upstairs at a great table in the corner. My friends went for savoury food - burger and a wrap. I have a sweet tooth so went for the chocolate brownie sundae, which was a amazing and had good chunks of chocolate brownies. My friends wrap and burger were also a good size and tasty. Service was friendly and no long wait for the food. The location is in the centre and easy to get to, and the decor is very welcoming. We found a gem and I would definitely recommend it and go back.

Had a lovley meals menu a bit limited

It's a great atmosphere in this place, there's no doubt about that. We never ate here as we were just on a pub-crawl! However, the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good! I ordered two halves of the same ale and it cost me an extra 25p @ £5.60. Had I ordered one pint it would be £5.35. I asked the barmaid if she she could ring it through as one pint and I got a straight NO answer! 🙄 I'm not a great fan of places that do this, especially when they are probably the most expensive in Skipton! However, like I've already said, this is still a cracking place to visit! Until they change their pricing policy, it will only be 4 stars from Nigel.

Absolutely fabulous all round, Welcoming, Quirky Decor, Ample portions of tasty food. Will return and definitely recommend. Weekday lunch/dinner/drinks easier than a weekend as very popular place with locals and tourists alike and no wonder why.

Really cosy place at the top of Skipton high street, near to the famous castle and entrance to Skipton Woods. We had the Yorkshire breakfast and it was a true delight! I couldn't recommend it enough for the value for money and the quality of the dishes. Staff were friendly and welcoming and provided fast service on a busy Saturday morning. We loved it and will be back again soon.

Nice atmosphere, good pint of german beer and friendly staff. The only drawback is the music was too loud inside so you couldn't hear yourself talking.

Tasty and interesting food. I was in Skipton for about three weeks, and this place was one of my favorites.

Loved the Quirky decor which has been executed sympathetically to compliment the age of the building. Relaxed ambience. Small menu which means everything cooked fresh to order. Good portion sizes in relation to prices charged. Will return for food and try a few Cocktails too. Fish Tacos/Halloumi/BangBang Chicken was thoroughly enjoyed.

We visited on a Friday afternoon, the atmosphere was great, staff were super friendly and welcoming to us and our puppy Peggy. Food was absolutely delicious and lots of variety on the menu. Would definitely return.

This place really works at any time of day. It covers everything from coffees, to wine, snacks to full meals, in a casual and very friendly atmosphere. We come hear every week, sometimes multiple times per week. The atmosphere changes through the day, attracting different clientele as the day moves on. It is a place where women clearly seem comfortable to on on their own for a drink or a coffee, it caters for all ages with special ranges of beers, exceptional wines, excellent coffee, unusual food options and superb service. It is one of our "go to" places in Skipton, it never disappoints. It has been a long time since we rated it, so this is a refresh, but it remains excellent.

Charming place, recommend the sweet potato chili home made soup with sourdough toast. Coffee was exceptional also. Board games and books available. Upstairs area is even nicer than downstairs and view of the river.

Went here on a Saturday night for dinner and never again, just wasn't for us. Music so loud you could not have a conversation, toilets disgusting, when the meal arrived, had to ask for napkins as none on the table and were not offered. Positives, staff were friendly and no complaints about the food although a very limited menu.

What a little hidden gem, such a warm and friendly welcoming team and then to top it off, the food was absolutely amazing. The menu was just perfect, as not over facing and you could definitely see and taste the food was fresh. Loved how quirky it was too, beautiful decor. Definitely going to make this a regular visited place for me and my mum, even though 1hr 1/2 hours from home. Definitely worth it. Thank you again and see you next month.

Fabulous place, such lovely friendly staff, amazing food and perfect relaxed atmosphere. Had a selection of the starters between us and were all equally delicious and couldn’t pick a favourite. Can’t wait to come back next time in Skipton

We called here on a Sunday lunchtime after a walk in the castle woods and only intended having a coffee or maybe cake but were tempted by the menu so ended up ordering sandwiches / toasties and a sundae. The service was amazing with very helpful, attentive staff making our visit one to remember. Definitely recommend.

Stumbled across this place. Really good food, decent portions. Reasonable value. Dog friendly so the three dogs we had between us were welcome. A good atmosphere, this was an afternoon so I expect it’s a really good night place on a night out.

Was drinks only as our pre-Christmas night with drinks progressed. A busy bar over a couple of levels with a nice festive feel. Plenty of drinks choices, good atmosphere and (somehow) we ended up on cinema style seats. A really nice bar.

Visited day of their Santa Run. Busy indoors but seating outside available. The staff friendly and reasonably priced. Similar prices in the area.

What I ate was nice but very, very expensive for what you get. No idea how to serve a cup of tea (warm water in a cup with bag on side) and not happy when this was pointed out. I would not return.

Let me tell you i was ready for a breakfast and boy this was some off the tastiest ingredients I've witnessed collaborated on one plate. Local sausages bursting with flavour with a lovely char. Plenty of streaky bacon with a golden crunch and hands down the best seasoned grilled tomatoes i have ever had, with a pinch of oregano and basil. My oh my. Beautiful location perfect in the sun. 32 seats out side facing the church and castle. The ladies were so welcoming. We went back 3 times the same day. My friend tried the lamb burger. His eyes rolled to the back of his head smiling. Top marks.

Had to write whilst sat here, we were welcomed and shown to a table with old theatre seating, comfy! Next delight was a pint of Pinata by North Brewing, definately one for summer. Fruity and delicious. The best was yet to come. Fabulous food, pizzarett and quesadillas, tasty well cooked and seasoned perfectly. Definately one to try if you are in Skipton. We will certainly be repeating the experience.
