We ordered burgers on Saturday Evening to collect, I was a little concerned that they might not still be warm when we got them home but wasn’t disappointed & omg they were delicious!! Definitely not your average burger & the Cajun sharing fries were amazing. Great friendly & speedy service

Spoke to a women on the phone to book a table. She was very impatient and pretty rude when we were just attempting to book. Once here, the service was pretty poor. Ordered a drink which was left inside and had no idea it was ready etc, just by luck walking back from the toilet it was seen. Food took an hour to come, at different times. Two people had finished their burgers before another 3 came. When burgers were put down it was careless and no apologies etc for the lateness. Good burgers but terrible service

We stopped here for a quick burger before a train as it was close, and they were amazing! Came in cool paper wrapping and really not that expensive. Great quality food and cool atmosphere.

Found by accident...popped in for lunch. Great value burger and fries for £5. It’s a student pub by the looks of it but great food. Check out the poutine fries which were a meal in itself.

We had burgers, which were made well with tasty ingredients and not too big. The service was good and the place quiet enough for conversation.

My girlfriend got vegan chicken as they had obviously ran out of normal chicken, no one said anything they just served it her, I had beef and have been ill today the day after on and off the toilet all day and it has terrible customer service. Used to love this place but it is run down now and only seem to cater towards vegans.

Waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive with the staff having to be reminded that we had placed our order. People who arrived after us were served and had finished eating before we recieved our meals. Intermittent loud music was played by the DJ who seemed to be practicing for later in the evening. Not a good atmosphere whilst trying to enjoy a meal. The food was extremely mediocre for the price we paid for it. Would not visit again.

The Twisted Burger Company at The Harley used to be a favourite for a laid back drink and reasonably priced burger. The burgers used to be some of the best in Sheffield but not any more. Although it’s always had a grungy, student feel to it the food made up for that. We visited in August and when we couldn’t get a table straight away decided to sit outside and have a drink while we waited for a table. Unfortunately most of the draft drinks were off and the only draft lager they had tasted rank so we left to eat elsewhere. On our most recent visit, and probably our last until things improve, we visited on a Saturday evening. The food took nearly an hour to arrive and when it did I thought straight away that it wasn’t going to be as hot as it should have been and unfortunately I was right, the burger and the pulled pork on top of it were lukewarm. lukewarm. The burgers also seem to have got smaller. I’d ordered the Pig Daddy Kane but asked for just one patty instead of the standard two and the waitress said she’d knock £1.50 off the bill which seemed fair enough. One of us asked if she could have some cheese sauce as she’d forgotten to order it and the waitress said sure, It’ll be a couple of mins, which would have been fine except when it didn’t arrive and we asked about it the waitress admitted she’d forgotten to put the order through. The nuclear cheese sauce subsequently arrived having probably been blasted in the microwave and was still bubbling like lava. Cold chips and boiling hot cheese sauce - not good. Worst of all though was my husbands burger, halfway through he hit a cold bit which he described as being like a block of ice. With no staff around he took it to the bar to complain and they took it off him. A few mins later his half eaten burger was returned to him with an explanation that the cold piece was a large piece of something cold, possibly not properly defrosted, from the apple jam on the burger and the actual burger was fine. No offer of a replacement or an alternative. Needless to say he didn’t fancy finishing off a burger that had been prodded and poked by the staff to figure out what the cold, unappetising lump was. I also left half of my lukewarm burger. When the waitress collected the plates and asked if everything had been ok we explained about my husbands burger. I decided not to mention mine based on the experience with complaining about the other burger. When the bill arrived they’d taken half off the cost of his burger and hadn’t charged for the molten lava cheese but had charged full price for mine. By this point we were fed up of complaining and just wanted to leave. The two veggie burgers our party had went down well as did the house fries but the beef burgers were awful and the service despite it not being busy was poor.

I cannot stress enough how good the vegan burgers are here - and the chilli cheese fries!! I would love to go here again and would definitely consider the 1.5 hour drive just to do so.

I have been in and ordered food from inside many times, enjoying the unique and tasty burgers. So naturally, it was the first pick when looking for food to be delivered, A group of 8 of us ordered (So lots of food ordered). First, the food took ages to arrive, then much to our disappointment when it came we were missing half the order, (3 burgers and 2 chips so enough for someone to notice), After ringing them up, we were rudely informed by the woman on the phone she had packed the food herself and it was all there, 2 bags of food. Then offered us a refund for half the cost of one burger, when we mentioned how we were also missing another burger and chips she refused to cover the cost of them or send out the missing food (even when we said we would come and pick it up). Very disappointed. If going in person it's great food and great service from the staff would recommend, however, would not recommend ordering online.

Ive been before but never reviewed. Felt like I needed to this time, only for positive reasons. It was a little busy but staff kept cool and collected.

We went there because of the rave reviews but found our experience underwhelming. Food was so-so, portions small, food pricey and service cool at best. The burger buns were limp and got dented while being served. Not going there again if I can help it.

Thought both my burger and my pint from Abbeydale were tasty. The staff were friendly and I really appreciated them showing me the better value deal on the menu- they seemed genuinely interested in making customers happy, rather than just making money.

We used to love their burgers and the ale and regularly visited the pub but have seen a drop in their service over the last few visits. Visited them today and ordered 2 lamb burgers and were told that it would take 25 mins for the food to be served, we were fine with that, 10 minutes later another team member approached us and repeated that it would take 25 minutes for the food to be served ?? after the burgers were served we were told that they have run out of mayo and mustard !! Since we have been here many times before and ordered the same burgers we know what they taste Like, today the chef had put in a lot of extra very spicy jalapeno salsa and made the burgers inedible, we gave our feedback to the lady who served us and decided that this place is not worth another visit ..

Love the burgers here and that they cater for vegans as not many places do in Sheffield I find ! I can never finish it tho always leaves me full :) it’s not usually busy so you are served fast

Always love Twisted’s burgers and today tried the ‘special’ - the ‘El Jefe’. Absolutely bloody awesome! This place never disappoints. Great burgers, great staff and reasonable prices. Can’t ask for more!

I know where to go to get a quality burger at a fair price that'll fill me up and twisted burger always satisfy's there. To the waitresses credit she happily made a tab for us which was appreciated and made the experience more relaxing. On the slight down side, we were forewarned about a 40 minute wait but after waiting 55 minutes in the end weren't given an apology or acknowledgement which would have made up for the weekend wait. That being said the triple beef patty, was moist, tender and filling and just what I needed after a half marathon (could have been bigger). A twisted burger challenge would get much interest I think! ... The Twister perhaps?

Unsure of the all the fuss about burgers at the moment but I do think this is a cut above. We all had the In through the out door which is a standard double burger, good flavours throughout. The jalapenos fries have a good spicy kick to them. Service is friendly & as it wasn't busy prompt. £8 for the burger standard fries £1.50 so can eat for less than a tenner. One thing regarding the online menu....stop it moving automatically, highly irritating when you want to view!

We ordered a vege burger and a standard with cheese. The concept of vary your own burger is good, but we felt the end product was a bit expensive for what you got. Both burgers were tasty and served quickly.

Wow. Those “wings” are something special. My fiancé had the No Piggity Vegan burger and she said it was surprisingly tasty and juicy unlike many vegan burgers. Went in after a day of conference lectures to find no white wine, no cider, out of the local ale.... Not a great start! Sat down to have the landlord come over with a bottle of complimentary white wine to apologise, more than happy with the service the understanding and the jokes this led to! Value of a good place is always down to service when drinks and food can be changed and this place nailed it on service in face of trouble

We tried the new diner in broomhill,burgers were excellent including the veggie burgers too,the service was a little slow but it was worth the wait,and anyway it just gave us more time to relax & chat(everyone is always in a rush)the jalepeno busniess fries are amazing!!

Lunch for family of 4 on Sunday afternoon- we were the only people in the place. Guy serving was friendly. We ordered two burgers from the main menu and 2 kids burgers with drinks- came to £36 which was quite expensive I thought. There is a £3 loyalty card which gives a 50% reduction on main burgers but we couldn't get it because their card machine wasn't working (?) which meant we paid full price. It took almost an hour to serve the food, which seemed to be because they were sending out take away orders ahead of our order.The burgers were okay but the main order burgers don't come with chips which makes it an £8 burger!The kids enjoyed it but we won't be rushing back. Service and value need to improve.

I visited here for lunch with my girlfriend. It was pretty quiet and the service was good. Enjoyed the food however my girlfriend ordered one of the chicken burgers and to say it was £8 for just the burger you would expect proper chicken breasts not processed chicken (like birds eye) I had a beef burger which was really nice. The dirty fries were lovely and there were plenty of them. Definitely worth a visit.

I've always really liked the fries here but the burgers lack flavour. I've visited at least three times just to be sure it wasn't a one off but it wasn't. The menu reads great - each burger is packed with interesting ingredients - but when put all together I couldn't tell one from the other. They're just bland. The food also lacks consistency with the fries having varying amounts of sauce and toppings from one visit to the next. Again, I feel this is another place in Sheffield that receives undeserved praise for its food when in fact it's just seen as a hip and cool place to eat with a fun menu and original ideas. It's just a shame they aren't experienced on the taste buds too.

Plenty on options for vegans, really well priced too. My vegan burger was nice. OH was not impressed with his chicken meal. I'd return, he wouldn't.

Love Twisted Burgers! Love The Harley! I'm the only vegetarian in a family of meat eaters, and this is one of the only places we can eat together and everyone enjoys it.....in most other pubs, they get a lovely meal and I get some crappy frozen thing that's been chiselled out of the bottom of the freezer!! Twisted Burgers - highly recommended.

Really tasty burgers with a bit of a twist! Quick service and good portion sizes - we were stuffed at the end. Refreshing to see a good few vegan options to pick from too - will definitely have to bring my vegan brother here for a burger.

I should've read the reviews before ordering. We ordered our food via deliveroo, 2 x supersize me burgers & jalapeño fries. The first supersize burger was fine, the second one had a pink burger inside (there's 3 beef patties) 2 were cooked, 1 was pink. When I complained about this via Facebook I was told that 'sometimes the burgers are served medium rare' If that's the case then they should ask how their customers would like it cooked, and why serve 2 burgers well done and 1 medium rare on the same bun. Poor food followed by poor customer service. I definitely won't be eating their again.

Was really excited to eat from here. Ordered the 'everything is hallouminated' burger but not sure where the halloumi was supposed to be in it. Just a sloppy, over fried (and not very nice) veggie burger Really disappointed

I will summarise my visit to this restaurant with a problem list: 1) overpriced, average burgers - the quality of the meat of the burgers provided was poor. The patties themselves were thin and overcooked. The additional "wow" factors (I had the pulled pork) were near non existent and tasteless. 2) most definitely the worst macaroni cheese I have ever had - this comprised of some dry pasta smothered in a gelatinous, tepid cheese paste. Shameful. 3) a dry bun worthy of a 2/10 BBQ done by teenagers. 4) false advertising regarding the beers - despite several bottled lagers being shown on the bar, the only beer available was Budweiser. The only saving grace of the meal was the fries and the waitress, who, despite having to serve an incredibly lacklustre burger meal, was altogether rather pleasant. I will not be visiting again.

Popped in after the Friends Fest at Hillsborough Park because I'd heard they had good vegan options. I wasn't disappointed! I had the Drop Dead BBQ vegan burger and the Buddha fries which were both lovely and had BBQ pulled jackfruit which I hadn't tried before. I'd definitely visit again! The atmosphere was more like a chilled daytime or quick meal rather than an evening meal. Staff were friendly and attentive :-)

Burnt food using sauce to cover up the carbon and the wrong order delivered to us, very disappointing considering the price. Would be better going to literally any cheap takeaway

Was looking forward to eating here as we had eaten burgers by TBC in Leeds and had seen lots of appealing photographs on IG. The Harley wasn't what we were expecting; i can imagine it to be great for gigs and drinking but was deff picturing something a little different as a place to eat. The food was so disappointing! The vegan shake was abysmal; watery soy milk and half crushed Oreos! I make better at home for half the price. Oh well, we thought. The burgers will make up for it... We were disappointed to find there were only two vegan options for burgers as we were led to believe from the instagram there was a lot more choice. We went for one of each and just so underwhelmed! My partner left most of his and my drop dead one was okay but so sickly! We finished quickly and left... we expected a lot more; quality wise and vegan options! Won't be returning! :(

Called in tonight for a burger and fries my husband, been looking at the place since it opened and thought it looked cool. Menu looked great, but was super disappointed with what came. Waitress was frosty and rude. Noticed two of the waitresses slagging off some other customers who left because they had to wait for a table, really unprofessional. The chips with pulled pork and cheese on top had a weird five spice type BBQ sauce and the poor was dry, really horrid tomato sauce dip too definitely not Heinz. No vinegar on the tables. Husband had the pig daddy burger which was dry and overcooked- I've never heard him complain about a burger in the 10 years we've been together. His beer was nice though!We got served about 20 mins after ordering and there was no one in when we arrived, but every customer who came in after us had still not been served when we left 45 mins later. Had an upset tummy about two hours after we left, and thought the price was quite high for the quality of the food and service. Really disappointed because it is a cool concept with a great location and look, but the food and waitress service really let us down tonight.

Always on the search for new burger places The Twisted Burger Co at The Harley Hotel had somehow slipped under my radar. They have just opened a small new Diner at 267 Fullwood Rd in Broomhill but I thought I would try the Original incarnation first. First of all parking is not easy, don’t trust your Sat Nav as they have blocked off the bottom of Hounsfield Road, so you are better approaching from Glossop Road then Leavy Greave then Hounsfield Lane if coming by car. It’s easier by foot, just after the end of West Street/Glossop Road and right by the Sheffield University tram stop. There were many tables free on a Bank Holiday Sunday evening so we could choose where to sit. There is also outside seating available. You eat in the bar area where there is a stage (and foosball table in the middle of the room) for live music. Live music happens a few times a month, there is a calendar on their website where you can check out the music schedule.Onto the food – the burger patties were fairly thin and slightly unevenly cooked, we’ve had better locally such as Fear x Loathing, but the toppings do make a nice difference. The Big Daddy Kane (Sheffield’s most popular Deliveroo item apparently!) covered in pulled pork, cheese, bbq sauce and chorizo and apple jam looked delicious. I had the Big Chilli Style burger with jalapeno cream cheese, chilli jam and pickled chilli which was slightly hot but not as hot as the Juicy Lucifer at Reds True BBQ. There were 3 beers/ales on tap to choose from and a fully stocked bar. Service was good and our meal overall was good but not quite matching some of the local competition in my opinion. They also do breakfast which I am tempted to try at some point as it looks good.

My friends and I recently ordered food from The Harley through diliveroo. We all ordered the mixtape burger, where you can build it yourself and add your own toppings. I've heard a lot of good things about The Harley and have been looking forward to trying their infamous burgers. However I have to say I was slightly disappointed. Mine looked like it had been thrown together in five seconds and there had been very little attention put into making it. The dressing contributed little to the taste, as it was almost absent, and they had also forgotten to include my gherkins, which I paid £1 extra for.

Ordered off deliveroo. Had the pig daddy kane burger which was amazing and full of flavour, but the pig pimpin fries I ordered with it (for £5.95) were rock solid. Rock solid as in I couldn't get my fork into the chips! They would just split in half! Would've been a 5 star rating if the chips we're actually worth the money.

Recently tried to visit the new restaurant in Broomhill as I enjoyed the food at the Harley. Firstly the restaurant is tiny, only 5 tables, and no ability to book beforehand so be prepared not to get a seat at busy times. Second issue was the staff, I was with two other friends and we walked to the counter, picked up a menu and sat in the waiting area. Two members of staff stood at the counter- which is adjacent to the seating area and completely ignored us. Never having been to the restaurant before we waited to see what the protocol was. After waiting for 10 minutes we asked the gormless waitress (I don't mean that to be rude, she was literally staring into space with no regard to her potential customers) how long we might expect to be seated, she stared at us, stared at the restaurant and said, "I guess about half an hour, I dunno" it was at this point we put our menus down and left. This seems to be very disorganised, in the time we were waiting to be acknowledged, the chef was having an explicit rant to his kitchen assistant and another waitress about how they'd run out of ranch, harissa mayo and another condiment, which meant the waitress had to run down the road to the harley, leaving the clearly inexperience other waitress to run the shop. Definitely won't be returning any time soon, just stick to The Harley, there's more space, better beer and ranch sauce!

There are two kinds of vegetarian burger. There's the kind that tastes like a poor impression of meat, and there's the kind where an effort has been made to actually make something distinctive. Twisted Burger vegetarian burgers are a mound of halloumi, herbs, wafer-thin aubergine and tasty brioche-style bap. They're the good kind.

Visited today with my sister settled on the halloumi burger and halloumi chips after struggling to decide what to eat from all of the delicious things on the menu. Best burger I've had and halloumi chips are absolute perfection! Shout out to the tasty homemade coleslaw with blue cheese ! Can't wait to go back! Great fast service!

Been here many times as it is close to my work, if you have any more than a party of 2 then be prepared to wait over an hour for a burger and fries....

I'm usually not keen on burger places, but a friend who lived in Sheffield recommended this to me and I have no regrets! The milkshakes are deliciously rich and tasty, the burgers are good value for money and more importantly they're simple but fantastic! I also really liked the fact that there were vegetarian and vegan options - a number of my friends don't eat meat or animal product and it's important to me that they have something good to eat. If nothing else, I want to come back just to try out more of the burgers.

The title of this review says it all. The vegan burger was phenomenal, and the Buddha fries were utterly fantastic. My carnivorous friend agreed! The Bbq jackfruit is definitely something I need to try at home.The burger patty was cooked well and wasn't too dry. Having a burger each and sharing loaded fries was the right idea - we were stuffed by the end! I'd be very happy to eat at The Harley with Twisted Burger Company's menu again.

It's basically a glorified fast food establishment, burgers were undercooked and didn't taste great. Also ordered the chips which were very well sized portions so can't complain about that. Overall, just very average food with little to rave about.

A couple of my mates and me visited the Harley after an average/poor experience back in January. We were invited back by the management, and what a difference to our last experience!We arrived around 18:30, with a table waiting for us, and we're immediately greeted by one of the friendly team. We were seated and glanced through the menu wondering what to have.If kind of made my mind up I was going to have the same burger that I didn't enjoy last time, and the business fries (amazing). A couple of minutes later one of the girls took our drinks order and while we still contemplated what to order.My mates had a couple of Pig Daddy Kane burgers (double beef patty, pulled pork, American cheese, dead twisted bbq sauce and chorizo & apple jam) and torn between the two, I stuck to my guns and had the same as last time (Big Chilli Style - double beef patty, jalapeno cream cheese, chilli jam and pickled chilli) and three portions of Jalopeno Business Fries (cheese, guacamole, sour cream, house relish, sliced jalapenos and cajun seasoning topped with a whole grilled chilli).Around 15/20 minutes later our food was at our table and looked/smelt/tasted great!!! The burgers were definitely fresh, nicely seasoned, juicy, and full of flavour and toppings. The business fries as expected, are the business as well! I had the vegan fries for a change last time but wasn't fond, nothing beats the food quality that we experience the other night!Thanks for having us, you'll see us again, keep up the great work!! :)

We revisited the Harley today and the food was really good! The service was also much better than we experienced on a previous visit. Would definitely go again on a Sunday for the Sunday dinner style burger!

So since coming to uni I've heard a lot of things about this place! A lot of it positive, I can see why. I went for the pig daddy kane! Possibly the biggest, baddest most stuffed burger on the menu. The burger had so many flavours In, very juicy and yet thick and meaty. Very indulgent. The chorizo and apple jam really was the icing cake. The waitress was very helpful in letting us know that you can request your burger to be cooked to whatever your preference is.I still be returning to conquer them fries!

An amazing, welcoming venue with the most helpful staff and great tasting food. I had my 22nd birthday party here the other week and they were super wonderful at getting everything sorted in advance, making sure that our 20+ group was served promptly and in a friendly manner. Staff were on hand to deal with any issues throughout the night and made it an unforgettable occasion! Would highly recommend the venue to anyone planning any events or just looking for a great meal out

Pretty decent burgers - the Pig Daddy Kane in particular was my favourite. Massive portions too and not bad value

Located just off of the West Street / Division Street beaten track of Sheffield centre, The Harley pub - home of the Twisted Burger Company Franchise combines a dive bar atmosphere, great music, a wide selection of ales and some of the finest food you will find anywhere within the city limits. For the meat eaters there are several burgers that combine beef, bacon and chicken patties with a huge variation of toppings and sauces. Whilst the main appeal of TBC that makes it stand out from the rest is its unwavering commitment to vegan / vegetarian customers, providing a number of incredible meat-free burgers and sides, as well as vegan milkshakes. Whilst the burgers are faultless, the best thing that Twisted Burger Company does in my own opinion is its outstanding chips / fries, which are probably my favourite variation of potato-y goodness anywhere in the world. Visited this restaurant with some friends in the afternoon. The man behind the bar was very rude, unwelcoming and abrupt with us. As we were a group, a couple of us went to the bar to have a look at the beers on tap and to check out the cocktail menu written on the wall behind the bar. We were pretty much ordered to sit down as it was table service and someone would come over to us. Why have a cocktail list on the wall and not a drinks menu if you don't want people standing by the bar? We went back to the table and no one came over for at least 15 minutes and we ended up having to call the waitress over to us. The service was slow and unfriendly. Food also took a while and the burgers were very average. Other places in town do much better ones and provide friendly service that actually make you feel welcome. Avoid.

Visited here with a couple of friends, probably my 6th or 7th time in the last 12 months but my friends' first.We found a table and started trying to pick from one of the mouthwatering burgers. We pretty much made our mind up what we were going to have, and in the 15 minutes we'd been sat down nobody had been over to see us. From previous visits, I know to either wait for a waitress or order at the bar, so I went over to order for my friends and I to be told someone will come over to you in a minute as we are a little busy we're doing table service only.Now personally it would have been easier to just take my order then and have one less table for the short-staffed team to have to look after and take an order from but apparently not.Almost ten minutes passed, and still nobody had as much taken a drinks order never mind the food, so I went back over and asked "can we please order, we're sat over there if you wouldn't mind", to get a scowl from one of the girls and the response "yes in a minute".Another 10 minutes passed and a different waitress came over and took our drinks order with a face like a slapped **** and we asked to order our food to be told she'll come back for our food order when she brings the drinks... We were obviously hungry and ready to order everything there and then! 15 minutes later, our drinks were brought over, and then a couple of minutes after that we managed to order our burgers and fries.We would have rather ordered everything in one go, and even if the case was that they're busy, we wouldn't mind waiting knowing at least that the kitchen had our check/order. We sat watching other groups and people come in, immediately greeted and seated and orders taken before us.45 minutes after first seating ourselves, our burgers and sides finally came over to us, with no apology for the wait. I had the chilli burger on the bottom of the menu which after the wait, was very disappointing, dry, and lacked the chilli jam and other toppings it claimed to come with and is pictured as on the official Instagram. The burger patties were bland and tasted frozen, however I was that hungry u ate it anyway. The vegan fries I tried were average, I would stick to the business fries if I go back. My friends food - one loved the burger with the pulled pork, and loved the business fries more so, my other mate thought the burger he had bland and lacking flavor also however said the business fries saved the day for him.We asked for the bill and waited 15 more minutes for it to be collected from us, so I just went to the bar and paid by card to here the staff complaining for being on shift for 6 hours already. No eye contact, no thank you, no how was your meal, zero customer service. Subpar burgers, merely saved by great business fries.We were there for an hour and a half for what should have been a quick bite to eat. Wether it's because there is 50% off the burgers in January and the quality of meat isn't as good, and because of the less revenue they are using less sauces and pickles I don't know, but I'm writing The Harley off for the whole of January easily and it will be a while before I go back.Staff: 2/5Service: 1/5Food: 3/5Value: 3/5* if full price we'd have paid £50 for what we had and I'd have been even more unhappy. We were offered a free meal as an apology for the poor service and food we received from our previous deliveroo order. On this occasion the staff were very polite and helpful, and we really appreciated the effort of the Harley to offer us this. Therefore I felt it only fair to write another review of this experience. Our table was reserved for us, and somebody was waiting ready to show us to it, which was great. The pace of the meal was good, and the food was nice, albeit nothing special so I probably would be unlikely to return. However, they offer a fantastic selection of vegan options which is nice to see, and is probably a better place to visit if you are a vegan! My milkshake was quite thin in consistency but this is probably as I ordered one with a milk alternative, and the sizing in house is a lot better than the sizing from deliveries which is great! Overall it was very kind of management to offer this experience to us and we really appreciate them trying to correct their mistakes.

Best burger I've ever had is the "Pig Daddy Kane" from here, and I've eaten burgers all around the UK and this burger hasn't yet been beaten. If you're wanting a burger whilst out in Sheffield, this is the only real choice!

I'd been looking forward to trying the food here for a long time after hearing good things about it and seeing the great sounding menu. However I was left bitterly disappointed. Pig pimping fries were amazing....I ordered the Xmas special burger with chicken...when it came it looked great, and the toppings on the burger were also very good. However one thing majorly let it down, and that was the 'chicken' patty. Yes it didn't say chicken breast, which is what you normally get with a chicken burger, but what I did get was a cheap, processed, rubber tasting patty that looked like it had never even seen a chicken. It was thin, processed, disgusting rubbish. My partner had a different burger which also had the chicken patty on and his was exactly the same. This let it down massively, everything on the burger was great but they let themselves down by using some cheap, nasty rubbish for the actual burger. I had to take them off and mine. No way worth nearly £9 that I paid for it. The service too was pretty terrible, both waitresses which served us couldn't muster a smile or a friendly face. So dissapointed.

We ordered food through the Deliveroo website, and we were really disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered two Return of the Mac burgers, two portions of Regular Joe Fries, and a Hollaback Swirl milkshake. The milkshake was embarrassingly small, particularly for the price, and while I respect the fact that the ingredients used were “fresh”, as I was rudely informed through the Twisted Burger Company Twitter account when I complained, I find this to be an unreasonable excuse as I would expect most reputable establishments use fresh ingredients. Regardless of this, our initial complaint towards our meal was regarding the size as I am certain that the cost of fresh ingredients doesn't warrant such a high price for such a small drink, particularly when the milkshakes served inside The Harley are a much bigger size. We also found that the burgers were of a poor quality, and the chips were not all properly cooked and a lot were stuck together. Overall the whole meal was incredibly disappointing and felt like it had been thrown together in a rush. While I acknowledge that we ordered our food late in the evening, nearer to closing time, I don't believe that this can be an excuse for offering subpar food and service. If they don't want to serve food that late then they shouldn't, end of story. Following a message to the Twisted Burger Company Twitter account, we were met with a sarcastic reply which we found unprofessional, which told us to send an email with further details - offering no apology for the disappointing food. Two weeks have passed since I sent an email, and I have received no acknowledgement, let alone an apology for this. While bad food can be excusable, there is absolutely no excuse for the rude treatment we have received, and I feel like they don't care about us because we ordered for delivery and not 'in-store'! I have always liked the Harley but this has really changed my opinion.

Came for tea with out of town work colleagues. Everyone loved it. I had jerk chicken burger - it blew my face off but it was beaut. Business fries are truly awesome and a must have. Wanted to try the dessert burger but was stuffed! Next time. Service was slow but we weren't in a rush and staff were relaxed and friendly so we didn't mind.

Twisted burger is the ultimate burger in sheffield. Shame the Harley isn't the ultimate place to serve it. We got fed up of waiting for someone to come over so we could ask for the bill so had to pay at the bar. Unfortunately doing this failed to qualify us for the 50% offer on our food bill! Between paying and then asking someone about this our food bill had conveniently disappeared. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but been asked how your food is whilst enjoying your first mouth full kind of ruins the experience for me. I'd eat twisted burger every day if I could, but not at the Harley

Been here numerous times and loved it every time-apart from the time my chicken burger was over-seasoned but I'll just let that pass!

If I'm honest their Buddha Fries (sweet potato version) are one of the best things I've ever eaten. I haven't ever had a burger because these fries are enough for a whole meal. The vegan shakes I've had have been great too. Only real downside is the staff - they all look so glum and aren't in the least bit welcoming. Oh well, the food is good enough to keep me coming back.

After positive reviews from people who had been here, I decided to try this place out. The service was very poor, the staff looked miserable and took ages to take our order. The portion sizes, well chips are very generous, the Burger was well filled but unfortunately was not that tasty. My beef burger was slightly undercooked and cold, which was a disappointment. I would maybe come again if I was really feeling a burger and was nearby, but I wouldn't rave about this place too much. It is seriously overrated.

The menu fabricates the whole visit. My vegan option was very nice, but the milkshake arrived after we'd finished our meal when I ordered it way before. The chicken roast dinner in a burger came with two patties that looked fresh from freezer.

Whilst attending a festival in Sheffield I googled for places that offer vegan options. And wow what options! I had the Drop Dead Twisted BBQ Burger which consisted of two vegan burgers, bbq jackfruit and a slice of vegan cheese. OMG delicious! And huge. Never has a burger nearly beaten me but this came very close! Take me back! :)

TBC is easily my favourite burger place in Sheffield! Foods always good and consistent 100% recommend

Had a Jerk that thing burger. It has jerk mutton on top of 2 burgers. Very nice and hot spicy sauce! Good service and drink selection.

This was our first time visiting the Twisted Burger Company at The Harley and we will definitely be back.We went specifically for the vegan 'Drop Dead' burger and were not disappointed. It was delicious. We were served by Tom who was really lovely, helpful and welcoming.The only disappointment was that they didn't have any of the vegan dough balls, but other than that, highly recommended!

Atmosphere is cool, more suited to to younger people I would say. The burgers are amazing, pig daddy Kane is my favourite! Nice patty, decent amount of topping without it being overloaded. Drinks are a little expensive for students, not very competitive for the area, and they are incredibly stingy about ID. Went there with my 25 year old brother and my dad. My brother is visibly much older than 18, and they refused to serve him as he left his ID in the hotel, guess it's company policy but I wish people would use their sense with this sometimes. But the food makes up for it I guess! The loaded fries and the chicken wings are amazing as well!

This review is unusual in that it is based on a wedding I attended which was apparently this company's first. The burger and fries were delicious and the staff handing them out were lovely. I had the burger with a double patty and beef brisket, it went down a treat. I can't wait to eat in here when I return as the way I see it, if they can cater for a wedding and dish up such great food , how good must it be in the restaurant!!!

The food I have had here - the falafel burger, chocolate almond milkshake - were amazing, and my friends have loved it here too, however the service let down the restaurant. It was so slow to take our orders, bring drinks and serve food! I would give this place five stars if the service was better because I love how there is great vegan options here.

I love this place, and everyone raves about the burgers but I was a bit disappointed. The veggie burger seemed to be lacking somewhat... I know what you're thinking, its a veggie burger what do you expect, and maybe you have a point but veggies like a good pig out too! It would be a talent to make it as good. Loaded fries were good though.

I go to the harley quite a bit for drinks with friends and we can never resist a burger from here! They are so full of taste and have amazing combos which leaves you wanting more! Recently i tried the chicken burgers and i would say they are better than the beef. The loaded fries they do there a to die for too! The staff are very cool and are always welcoming, you dont even have to go to the bar to get a drink as they will bring it you over. Really relaxing, casual atmosphere which is what you need after a tough day/week at work, They do need a bit more lighting round the settees though, so you can see what you are eating. and the price for a single burger if you are ordering a special, is a bit steep. However the taste of the food makes up for it!

Right, really needed to write a review of what happened last night as it was a rare example these days of how the right staff with the best attitude can really make a difference.We ordered food via Deliveroo, even though we definitely live close enough to walk to the door in no time at all, but thats by the by. When it arrived the food was thrown to bits and was stone cold and just not up to the standards of the Harley which we have frequented a lot over the years. We took the food back to the Harley within 5 mins of its delivery and explained the situation to the manager Joe, who was very apologetic even though after discussed both parties aware it was deliveroo's fault. They still rectified the whole problem by repeating the order with no hesitation or bad feelings. Food was crackin as always and we appreciated the length they went to, to make sure we were happy and satisfied (which we definitely were)

Been there twice now and love it! The staff are always friendly and the food amazing. Don't be put off by the people talking about the price- I always get the cheap 'mix tape' meal which is only £5 with fries. For me, it's more than enough food and the chips are amazing! Even the more expensive meals are cheap when compared to most other places where traditionally a burger is £10. Overall, love it and would defo recommend!

The food at TBC is always of a high standard, the burger and fry combinations are enough to cater to even the fussiest palette but it's not pretentious, it's a proper burger place with a great atmosphere.I started going as a student when TBC first came to The Harley and have probably been 50 times since. Most recently to try the "Toddla T Dutty Burger" which is awesome, definitely one for the meat lovers! (although you can switch the patties our for veggie options).The staff are always attentive and happy to help and the service in general is good. The prices are very reasonable and the portions provide plenty.Just be prepared for the inevitable crowds at the weekends! Oh, you can also take out if you want to. That's my next move...

I can't put my finger on what I liked more, the towering, juicy burgers, the crispy Cajun fries, the rock&roll vibes or the incredible service from our burger guide Joey. The Twisted Burger made our brunch date worth every ensuing stomach revolt from overeating. Thank you Joey and Kieran! Can't wait to bring my souvenirs back to Canada!

I've delayed writing this review for some time because I really wanted to like Twisted Burger Company having seen and heard such good things online and from friends. But after a handful of visits to both the Harley and the Riverside I still can't work out what all the fuss is about.The cost of the burgers and fries are pretty steep but in the same price range as other dedicated burger establishments so that's fine, as long as you receive delicious food and great service in return, which unfortunately TBC falls short of.The burgers are said to be sourced from a local butcher and made from high quality ingredients, which is great! However I'm not sure what happens to them between leaving the butcher to arriving on the table but they are somehow transformed into dry, flat, quite tasteless discs; worlds away from the juicy, meaty, succulent burgers that you expect from a local butcher and that are served by the competition for a similar price. I wouldn't mind so much if I could drench the burger in tasty house sauces at the table like you might at say Red's True Barbeque or Almost Famous but unfortunately you're only left with a choice of ketchup or mayo - not even the new 'range of three mouth-watering sauces' are available to accompany your food at the table, why not?It pains me to admit that I've eaten burgers from Wetherspoons that have been fresher, tastier and had better sauce than TBC, let alone other independent burger places, and that's not an exaggeration. At the current prices expectations are set high but unfortunately the food doesn't meet expectations and certainly isn't as good as competing independent establishments.The fries rate higher than the burgers in my opinion, but again for the price I think the quality lacks. For example the 'guacamole' on the jalapeño fries isn't actually guacamole, it's a 'guacamole style sauce' freshly squeezed from a plastic bottle.As for the service, the food usually arrives fairly quickly but if the staff put more effort into being friendly and helpful rather than trying too hard to be cool and edgy it would make the experience a lot more enjoyable.I really like both the Harley and the Riverside for a drink and great live music but for food they just don't cut it for me. On my last visit we spent around £28 for a meal for two which covered 2 burgers, 2 drinks and 1 fries to share. The quality of food and service didn't equate to that price and there are so many better options in Sheffield for that price and even less.Don't believe the hype.

Daughter took me for Fathers Day. Very nice burgers. Total value for money. Go there. You wont regret it.

We had great burgers and fries and were served by the wonderful Joey. She was just right, making sure we had what we needed and telling us everything we needed to know.

I've eaten at The Harley three times and although I love the fries the burgers are just average - the kind you expect from a chain pub. They're not terrible but they're just not great. I had the Pig Daddy Kane on my most recent trip. The beef is rather bland. The chorizo and apple sauce was nice but there wasn't much of it. The pork was tasteless and the pointless lettuce got on my nerves falling out of a very dry and crumbly bun - the worst kind of bun possible for a burger. The mac and cheese and manchego fries made my trip worth while but Twisted Burger Company have a long way to go to compete with some of the other burgers in Sheffield.
