Twelve Restaurant in Wyre

We are from the market menu 24 year celebration tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was fantastic, service was great - professional but not overbearing and ambience was lovely (90’s soundtrack was appreciated!). The lamb in particular was really tender, flavoursome and delicate. The beef dripping chips were as good as I remember them being! Great value at £24 for 3 courses, drinks of course bumped the bill up but still reasonable prices for the drinks we had. Twelve is a wonderful local institution that has been offering the same great, innovative food and service on the fylde coast for 24 years now and it felt great to be a part of their celebration for their 24th year.

I once said I would never eat here again following two awful visits a few years ago. We were taken here recently as part of a family surprise so it was rude not to go. The food is fine but no better than a number of other restaurants in the area. The difference is it’s extortionate for the minute portions provided and they screw you silly for basic things like vegetables which anywhere else would be included at these prices! They even charge nearly a fiver for a bottle of water and wouldn’t provide me with a glass of tap water. Drinks too are ridiculously priced. Fortunately our host remarked afterwards that they wouldn’t rush back so hopefully I don’t ever need to go there again.

We came to Twelve for our Wedding tasting menu, we met Aaron who was absolutely amazing, went through the menu in detail and gave us fantastic advice and suggestions on our chosen dishes. We came away with our menu perfected for the big day which we are both so happy about! The food was absolutely outstanding, extremely happy that Twelve are catering our wedding day, we know we are going to be well looked after. Thank you again Aaron for all your help and advice!

Booked a table in early January for a special birthday for my husband for the 1st March. They text me yesterday 6 days before and cancelled my booking saying they had a wedding booked on that day! Not well organised I have to say and disappointing as we have eaten there many times before.

Fabulous. The food was delicious and the service is so good. Peaceful yet funky. Love the vibe. Thank you for a great evening. I have had an extremely stressful few weeks. It was exactly what was needed!!

Our 2nd visit to Twelve and it was amazing. We visited as a family for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely superb in every way. Delicious food, wonderful staff who were so helpful and a really lovely restaurant. Thank you to everyone at Twelve.

Lovely restaurant and great sunday lunch. However whilst the staff are very courteous and friendly it took ages for our drinks to arrive at a time when there were very few people in the restaurant and our bill seemed to have been forgotten at the end of the meal when we asked for it. We were also seated next to the bar area which did get quite crowded with a large birthday party and ended up being quite noisy and encroaching around our table. Perhaps a little more thought should have been put into the seating plan as there were lots of empty tables further away.

We went for an impromptu Sunday lunch - booked online but great availability at short notice. My step mum is 87 and has mobility issues - when we arrived, the team realised this and moved us from an upstairs table to a downstairs table while we ordered drinks. The Sunday lunch menu was great - we had the beef which was perfectly pink and the lamb. Mother had a child's chicken roast dinner - which was perfectly enough for her small appetite. Great roast potatoes, lashings of vegetables and some really tasty cauliflower cheese. Sticky toffee pudding was SO nice! We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone - it is friendly with great food. I really want to try their al a carte menu - so definitely going back! Been wanting to go here for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely welcome by the owner Catherine and we were shown to our table . Very attentive and well mannered staff who were obviously well trained and a lovely temperature in the building just right . We all had a Sunday lunch and the beef was lovely and tender . Starters were all great and 3 of us had a sweet . The only small issue which i didn’t say anything about was my brother had the cheese board and as we both own cheese company’s it was always going to be a talking point . The size of the portions of cheese were very small and for the £6 surcharge to us it was not really worth that but even in saying that I really would recommend this place and I will be back soon . We had a marvellous Sunday lunch here today. The food was first class - I could have eaten the crispy pork belly all day and night (well apart from being full to bursting!) and also loved the celeriac soup and brioche cream dessert. My friend loved the terrine and lamb and was especially grateful for the sticky toffee pudding they rustled up! Lovely staff - friendly but not intrusive. Great atmosphere and artwork. We’ll be back!

Yummy Sunday roast as always, really good deal for 2 or 3 courses. We have tried a few things, to start the ham hock croquettes are good, goats cheese and beetroot too, mains the pork belly, chicken and lamb are all delicious. The staff are always lovely and chatty, really helpful and polite too. The best thing though for me is the coconut ice cream (I can’t describe how good it is - you just have to try it!!)

Food exquisite. Service excellent. Drinks fantastic. This place never disappoints. It truly is excellent. My beef was perfectly cooked and the goats cheese starter was incredible. Amazing!

Came here with my son for his 21st birthday meal,the place is well presented and spacious,the staff are very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for us,the food was well presented and all fresh local ingredients,I will highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

We were staying local and decided to eat at Twelve. We weren't disappointed, every course was delicious and had attention to detail. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a nice chat with the restaurant manager after and she was telling us about interesting places to visit in the area All in all a lovely experience and we would be very happy to return. First visit to this very smart restaurant and certainly won't be the last. Very polite , professional and attentive staff. Made you feel very welcome. We had the £70 per couple menu. 3 courses with a btl of excellent wine. The courses are a bit on the small side but perfect for me as I'm not a big eater. If you're hungry I'd suggest adding some sides. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Great choice of low background music and tables were not too close together. I really can't fault the place. Highly recommended.

We had the absolute pleasure of Twelve catering our wedding recently and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Caroline and Paul went to such lengths for everything to be absolutely perfect, it was absolutely incredible. From creating our bespoke menu that suited us down to a tee, to helping us with the running order of the day, they really went over and above “catering”. The staff were absolutely incredible, with impeccable service, and again went above and beyond what they needed to do, helping everywhere they could. The food was of course incredible too, every detail was perfect. I had a few guests with allergies and all of them said they felt so catered to. One guest who is Coeliac said she always gets fruit as a desert because it’s the easiest thing for chefs and Paul not only provided her with an almost identical desert to the rest of the guests, but a trio of mini deserts – she was very happy! We’ve had so many compliments on the food, the service and the staff. Thank you so much to everyone at Twelve!

Having just moved up to the area we were looking for a decent place to eat out and have tried several prior to Twelve. We thought we would give this a go to take advantage of their valentines special menu (23/2/2023). Very professional yet warm and friendly staff. The food was simply heavenly and they catered for me (gluten free) very well indeed. Good service, good communication and a simply wonderful dining experience. So glad we found it - it was our first visit and we WILL be back for sure.

First visit for many years. Impressed by the bright modern decor. Staff were very smart and attentive, courteous and helpful at the table. Wide range on the menu, sourced from local retailers. Excellent quality, wide range of drinks available. No complaints whatsoever. Came away happy and contented.

We have been to this restaurant previously and although it is overpriced for drinks the food was always nice. We visited on a Saturday evening and were left in a cold bar area for quite a while before being seated (upstairs which has no atmosphere) we then waited another hour before receiving our food which was unacceptable, no explanation or apology for such slow service. Will not be returning.

Food wasn’t as good as I expected, I’m vegetarian but the only vegetarian main was ravioli, I’m not a ravioli lover. After 3 courses we was rushed out of the restaurant less than 90mins after booking. It felt like we was being kicked out for the crime of not clearing the plates. Someone else’s starter was put on our table then 5 mins later, they took the starter to the right table.For the price I expected so much more. If your vegetarian, book elsewhere

OK. So I used to be a 2 rossette pastry chef so I'm not easy to please. Far from it I'm a nightmare to cook for to be honest . Went for the first time today and omg. The food 10/10 . Like many other restaurants, Twelve has kept things ticking over with their menu boxes which were great, but I’m sure that nothing will have compared with the happy sound of chinking glasses, cutlery on crockery and joyful conversation now that the public is allowed to eat out once more. There have, of course, been several changes but the atmosphere yesterday evening as we enjoyed our first evening meal out in months was absolutely buzzing and, although there have been some alterations to the menu, the food is as beautifully prepared and as delicious as ever. After all this time, staff changes were inevitable, but the new recruits were being carefully and skilfully guided by their more established colleagues and it was clear that everyone, staff and diners alike, were just delighted to be there. I hope that we never have to go through these lockdown restrictions again but kudos to Caroline, Paul and the whole Twelve team for managing to make us feel as if we had never been deprived of the experience of eating out and that we will want to return again and again in the future.

Really missed dining out for the last 4 months so finally took the plunge to order one of the dine at home boxes for a Mother’s Day treat.I had feared that it would be loads of faffing and ultimately feel like a bad a deal; I needn’t have worried. Absolutely brilliant and great value too. Super tasty and super easy to make. Everything you need comes with it and instructions an 8yo could follow.Definitely looking forward to getting another one (just need an excuse to be in the vicinity).

We booked a twelve at home meal on line from a great list of options. We selected a four course ( tier two , clever title ) all put together excellently with the only cooking being the main course . From Rosemary and thyme focaccia which whipped butter followed by course country pate terrine with hp ! chutney! And pickles , next the main event pressed confit lamb shoulder dauphinois hospital cabbage heritage carrots and a delicious red wine sauce . For desert panda cotta infused with toasted brioche poached rhubarb and white chocolate delicious. Finally a Garstang blue cheese crackers and fruit chutney. All this with a virtual night in with our dear friends who had ordered the same box meal and co ordinated over a face time night in well done team twelve it was brilliant we will be back on line four our next fine dining at home .

I thought my special birthday would be spoiled by current pandemic regulations but we decided we would order a de-luxe Christmas boxed meal for two and have a nice meal at home if we couldn’t go to a restaurant. The food was fantastic from start to finish. It really made the day so big thanks to Caroline and John and everyone involved in all the hard work that went into producing this wonderful meal!

The food was jam packed with flavour, superb tasting food. Excellent service, chef comes to greet you with a lovely manner and value for money. Will come again.

We were fortunate enough to be able to dine in the restaurant during that giddy period of freedom from June to October but, of course, the Tier 3 lockdown for Lancashire, quickly followed by the national one, soon put paid to any further visits for the moment. But not to worry! If you are suffering from fine-dining withdrawal symptoms, look no further than this resourceful restaurant team with its initiative to keep us gourmands happy via its box scheme. First introduced at the end of the earlier lockdown restrictions, the box scheme is back with further refinements guaranteed to provide you with a gourmet experience in your very own dining space. There are three tiers - just like the government guidelines but with the advantage of deliciousness and simplicity. The various food items for each course (and there are three or four, depending on which tier you opt for) are beautifully prepared and presented so that all you have to do is arrange the ingredients on the plate if cold, or heat through briefly in the oven or on the stove top for hot dishes. The instructions are straightforward and injected with little bonbons of humour which kept me smiling through the process. If this idea appeals to you as it did to us, then do not hesitate to give it a go - become a Masterchef champion in your own kitchen (with a little help from your friends at Twelve!)

Another amazing night at Twelves. We decided to go back for our 1st Anniversary after they catered our wedding so superbly. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and their Covid procedures are second to none.

Had an opportunity to eat here this last week. Expensive yes, Food a bit fussy yes, but to have a special night out such as our anniversary it was spectacular. Cocktails wine and food not much change from £200.00. Cant fault the food and service.

This is a beautiful restaurant, quite unusual and modern. The lighting is unusual but effective. There is a QR square on the table which enables you to view the menu on your phone....quirky but also safe.We went with friends and everyone loved their food. The menu was eclectic and we all tried something different.The pricing is sensible.They are very Covid friendly.We'll be back.

My husband and I went here for Sunday lunch yesterday and we really enjoyed it. All courses were very well cooked and presented, one thing we could have had a little more veg but other than that it was delicious and worth the money,very nice restaurant as well and great staff just wished it was nearer as we are from Barnsley or we would be going again.

This is an exceptional restaurant located in Thornton-Cleveleys, well worth a drive out, absolutely phenomenal food! Great atmosphere, amazing service, could not fault it at all. Their COID-19 policies are robust, and you are made to feel extremely welcome, but also protected. There is an outside and bar area as well as a contemporary restaurant. This is not a standard restaurant; each dish is carefully created it is A LA CARTE and therefore you get what you pay for. Would highly recommend to anyone who has good taste in food and is not expecting to pay for restaurant “chain” food.

Booked a table on Saturday night - arrived and sat down at 7.15pm. We ordered and then complained that an hour later, we were still waiting for the starters to be served.The main course arrived at 8.45 which was ridiculous given the amount of time we were sat at the table. We will not be spending another £100 plus at Twelve unfortunately.

I can't really fault this place (well, there was one issue which I'll mention in a bit). Three of us went for a meal last night and we had heard good things about the place, and also some people saying it was overpriced. Well, we had a starter each, main, dessert and a bottle of wine with the bill coming to just over £40 each which was very much worth it. I had the Chicken liver parfait with orange caramel and toasted rice, slow cooked beef cheek and finished with the salted caramel tart. The presentation and the flavours were great! The only issue we had, on the night, was that there wasn't a chicken dish on the menu which seemed odd.

Came here on a Saturday night with my partner. We both ordered black pudding scotch eggs. His was perfect mine was slightly snotty so I had to leave the egg but the rest was good. I ordered fillet steak. A bit cheeky to serve 2 slices of fillet and charge over £25! The cauliflower cheese came at an extra cost and was nothing special. Staff were very good and knowledgeable about the menu we jusy felt the prices were a little steep for the quantity of food

Went for a meal with friends and the place is very quirky and very well set out. The staff are really nice and are happy to help with anything. The meals are delicious and your spoilt for choice, the only thing is the portions are quite small for what you pay, and the meals don’t automatically with sides. But other than that great place to eat would go again.

The food was edible but it was extremely overpriced. The service was great but we wouldn’t return. You can get much better food for half the price elsewhere.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We had been given a gift voucher for Christmas but because of lockdown etc we had not been able to visit.The Chancellors discount ‘Eat out to help out’ seemed an ideal opportunity so we reserved the Wednesday special lunch, normally £25 for 3 courses but with the Chancellor’s offer £15. We selected a bottle of white wine costing £20+ but when the waitress brought the wine to the table we didn’t recognise it as the one that we had chosen. We queried this and she shrugged her shoulders so we checked the wine menu and the one that she had brought was considerably more expensive. She changed it immediately when we pointed this out.We ordered the cheese soufflé as a starter and we were not disappointed..it was delicious. The main courses were very limited..chicken fish or a vegetarian option. We both chose the fish. Cod with mussels in a curry sauce. The vegetable sides offered were cauliflower cheese chips and roasted vegetables. My husbandchose chips and cauliflower and I chose cauliflower and roasted veg. The food was delicious. Deserts offered were strawberries and cream or sticky toffee pudding. We both chose strawberries and cream.....very disappointing for me as it was not cream but some sort of panacotta with a very sweet sauce on it and not what I was expecting at all. When the bill arrived we were very surprised to find an extra £16 on it for the vegetables that we had assumed were included. We felt it should have been made clearer that veg was not included and that the main course was actually just a small piece of fish, 4 mussels and curry sauce. Nowhere on the menu, that we saw, did it mention that veg was an extra and when I ordered I said to the waiter “ I don’t eat potatoes so I will have both veg...is that ok?” And he said of course it is. He didn’t say they were chargeable.The owner/ manageress was, in my opinion unnecessarily short with us and although she did reduce the extra charge by half we came away feeling short changed and chastised.We will not return .

Our first stop upon arrival in Blackpool from a 5hr drive from London. About 5.5 miles/13 mins drive up from the North pier this smart suburb with Europe’s oldest mill, no less, is a welcome break from the lights for a good food experience. Our waiter, Tyler, was considerate, safe and well-distanced (Covid-19 measures) at the same time as being warm and informed.The food is exemplary. Great focaccia. Starters: Scallops and salmon ravioli for the children, heritage tomatoes for me, ham hock terrine for husband. All outstanding. The tomato broth with the ravioli was sublime.Mains: cod loin with curry sauce and mussel scampi and sea bream and samphire with squid ink risotto for the children. We both had fillet steak with ‘shepherds pie’ side.Pudding was a twist on a pannacotta - raspberries, white chocolate dessert and puffed rice.Brilliant meal.

An absolute gem. Excellent food from their a la Carte menu. I had the Sea Bream on a bed of Squid Ink risotto and samphire. - Deeelicious. Fantastic service - I appreciate helpful, smiley and professional staff who made us so welcome. Their management of all things ‘COVID’ was evident and reassuring. A very comfortable and safe environment has been created by the team. Excellent controls are in place to reassure the clientele. The food was simply delicious and very filling. If you are making your first restaurant visit after lockdown this is where I would go. Well done to the team at Twelves, we will be back soon.

We just came back from our first visit since the lockdown and we’re impressed. Twelve delivered excellent quality on every level. Their approach to health and safety is amazing. Other businesses, especially restaurants could (and should) learn from them. The food was of outstanding quality - everything, from the starters to deserts, was fantastic. Great portions and amazing value for money. The staff is superb and there is not a thing that I’d change. I can’t wait to be back. We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in the area.

Teriffic local restaurant, state of the art on hygiene! Caroline has separated the restaurant areas extremely well without it looking like she has tried. Separate but not looking like it was not designed that way! Well done! Staff as usual very well trained. Food is spot on. Well worth supporting, especially if in any way nervous about eating out. Our first time out since lockdown and it all felt very safe but normal at the same time. Go and enjoy!

The staff at Twelve have endured two episodes of refurbishment in the last few years, first a van creating its own novel access to the building and, more recently, as a consequence of the COVID 19 requirements, but in both cases they have bounced back fighting fit and still doing what they do best - serve delicious food in a warm, welcoming environment. Paul and Caroline have once more employed an innovative approach to dealing with the ‘new normal’ so that, although there are clearly fewer tables inside, the clever arrangement of screens to separate most of the tables adds a sense of security without a sense of sterility. Most of the tables seemed to be occupied and everyone, staff and customers alike, seemed to be relaxed and comfortable as they enjoyed the slightly revamped menu which includes both old favourites and some new additions. Everyone has worked hard to achieve this atmosphere of warmth and safety and I hope that existing customers will continue to support their efforts whilst those who have not yet ventured through these doors will feel confident enough to give Twelve a try because they certainly deserve it.P.S. Twelve has now Introduced ‘box meals’ on Saturdays and Sundays for those customers who, for whatever reason, may not feel quite ready to share a space with other diners - check out their website to find out more.

My husband & I went for Sunday lunch. Could not fault either meal, starters and main courses were absolutely delicious. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with our son and daughter in law. Lovely table and delicious dining experience. We always enjoy our time here.

I used Twelve outside catering service for a home birthday party with 55 guests. The attention to detail and service provided was second to none and I was entirely confident that the evening would go smoothly, as it did. They set up a very professional bar and the on site chef then prepared a delicious selection of hot and cold canapés, a choice of hot mains and scrummy desserts served as individual portions in small jars. The staff on the night were all extremely professional and helpful in every way and provided enormous support to me. I would not hesitate to recommend them

This is by far the best restaurant in the area. The food is excellent and the menu changes regularly .The staff are always friendly, informative and attentive. You are guaranteed a great night .

Had my Christmas do at Twelve just before Christmas. An excellent meal chosen from the 3 course Festive menu which offered good value. Overall very tasty food, attentive service.

The A La Carte menu has a good variety with locally sourced produce.The food was extremely good, as was the service. I was shocked however at the price of 2 glasses of wine! Nearly 24 pound, which I think is rather steep. However it was most enjoyable. Not cheap but neither is the quality.

This is always our pre Christmas treat to ourselves and we have high expectations. The potted salmon starter was lovely as was the chicken liver parfait. The stand out dish however was cod loin in vanilla and mussel broth, which was possibly the best fish dish I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly cooked cod and the broth was so good I could quite happily have licked the dish clean. ( I didn’t, and made use of a spoon instead). My partner enjoyed his pork belly, and all the vegetables were perfectly cooked and tasty. I just managed the ice cream dessert although I was by now very full! An excellent bottle of merlot was our drink of choice for the evening. If I have one small criticism it would be the lack of cohesion in the service. We were served by 5 different people during the evening and this didn’t always flow as it should do. We had to call someone for the bill and waited a while for our order to be taken. Previously we had always had one, or maybe 2 servers, and therefore felt slightly let down by the lack of attention this time. Overall, we had a great meal and the value for money at Twelve is second to none.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal last night to celebrate Michaels’ MA in Publishing! The food was outstanding!! We hadn’t been able to go for a long long time and to return again was so lovely for this occasion. Caroline ,the host, was so welcoming and really made the evening for us. Cathie enthused about the halibut with the mussels and spinach veloute. All the vegetables were cooked superbly. Desserts were delicious- loved the Christmas pudding, tasted really homemade and just as it should be. Cocktails, Bowland Brewery beer, and Deakin Estate Shiraz also all lovely. We can’t fault the evening and hope to be able to return again before too long. Thank you so much for such a great evening!

The food here was very nice, good quality and cooked really well. It is set in a very nice location, modern but still chic.I would definitly recommend going for a celebration meal with family.

My wife and I visited Twelve for the first time on Sunday 1st December 2019. We had three courses for £28 and it was fantastic!

This is a quirky restaurant with a separate bar area. We had difficulty parking as there appear to be only a few spaces that are provided for Marsh Mill visitors so we had to park down a side street. The menu is varied with added touches but a little expensive for what you get. There is a set menu but that’s around the £20 mark for two courses which is not very interesting, steak pudding, chicken or fish but does not come with veg so add another £8 for side dishes. The service was good if a little over enthusiastic probably because it was quiet but not sure I would go back.

First time here for a group of friends wanting a good Sunday meal. We were not disappointed from the second we walked in. Lovely modern setting right next to Marsh Mill in Thornton. We selected two courses from the 1, 2, or 3 course lunch menu. Quality of all food served was excellent and attentively served to a high standard. Food was beautifully presented and was simply fab. We had wine from an extensive wine list which was equally as good.

What a beautiful, modern and quirky restaurant with lovely staff and delicious food! Nothing was too much trouble, the service was fantastic and Lynne was so organised running through our potential wedding day breakfast menu and how the day would run. Twelve have been so brilliant with allowing flexibility with food choices and personal preferences and are so professional, organised and the food is really something special!

Our party of four ate here on Thursday night and we all said what a great find. Service was friendly and prompt, cocktails at the bar were great tasting. Atmosphere was relaxed and service attentive and each course was a delight, everyone was very happy with their meal and we agreed we would return again in the future. There was also a very good value menu on offer which suited one of our party on selection and price. All in all, a memorable evening.

Sunday lunch with the wife. First time we have eaten at Twelve and we were not disappointed, a very enjoyable 3 courses for less than £25pp.

Went for a friend's birthday celebration and expected great things only to be bitterly disappointed by the service, quality of food and value for money. Everything served wasn't even up to the quality of a low-priced pub meal and the size of the portions was paltry - even for someone with a small appetite. The roast beef was actually 'skirt' - a very cheap cut and the serving was 3 wafer-thin strips. We'll definitely never go again.
