A small take away place put up in the middle of a stretch in the town had one of the best home made kind burgers. I tried the 1/4 pounder beef burger with bacan, cheese and onions. A must try for sure. The beef and the bacon tasted delicious.

What a little gem - burgers as they should be without loads of fuss and you can choose exactly what you want. Tea served in mugs by a very lovely , chatty team - lifted my spirits !

Never too much trouble and all the smallest place I have ever known! Fabulous place to eat... from cheesy hot dogs, steak burgers, cuppas and cold drinks....all cooked fresh and really scrummy

A size 1 building with size 10 food! One of the best burgers in town and great banter with the staff. A remarkably wide choice of menu from such a small establishment, I think they stole the TARDIS from Dr Who!

How can one not resist The Turret's temptations of loaded flavour stacked up in burgers layered with love. Cups of tea (or coffee) all round for our family who have been coming to feast amongst Hastings parading throngs of holiday makers, foreign language students, day trippers and Oh yes the locals for what seems like a lifetime. Great friendly service with robust British charm where you are forced to meet fellow diners who share the outdoor seating space. We absolutely love what is boasted as the smallest kitchen in Europe churning out reasonably priced honest British fast food in style. An experience not to be missed if visiting the beating heart of Hastings.

I eat here occasionally, and enjoy sitting outside, watching the world go by, and listening to the friendly regulars chatting. Excellent cheeseburgers with onions. Most people can't cook onions, but these very welcoming girls certainly can!

Very tasty burgers and hotdogs at a very reasonable price. Service is great and as fast as possible considering the lack of space. Tea served in real mugs that you hand back. Ladies serving are always very smiley, polite and chatty. Good seating area under huge umbrellas and most of the public are up for a friendly chat.

I don't usually eat this type of food but my friend who was visiting likes a hamburger so we had a break from shopping. I must admit the smells coming from the Turret Grill are always very tempting & it was a very good hamburger & good value. I don't know how they manage to prepare & cook such good food in such a small space. Well worth a visit.

Looks small but all burgers freshly cooked and friendly helpful staff. Sometimes they run out of things but that because all fresb food and if it gone then thats why!

Love this place and the fantastic down to earth staff...cooked fresh and quickly. Even if your passing by and only grabbing a coffee to go, you'll receive the same warm welcome. Best in town bar none

My 7 year old loves the hotdogs from this place. Everything is cooked fresh, and comes out quickly. The burgers look great too. Give McDonald's a miss and come here instead.

Love this place. Great menu and very affordable. Always cooked fresh. It amazes me how such goid food comes out of such a small place.

El olor de las hamburguesas nos cocina la tentación de probar este lugar. Lo primero que me chocó fue el precio, excelente relación calidad-precio para lo que te dan. Las hamburguesas eran caseras y un sabor delicioso. Y el servicio era muy amable y agradable, real adecuadamente. Sin duda volveré la próxima vez que estoy en Hastings!

One of the smallest 'restaurants' that you could possibly imagine that does the best burgers that are made by themselves instead of being shop bought - so very different - see photosHad lovely mushrooms cooked and put into one of their lovely floured buns which tasted greatYou don't have to wait too long although everything is cooked freshly as you wait There are a number of seats outside the Turret that you can eat your food from Highly recommended - Enjoy

I love this place it really is a treat. You just can't beat their burgers always tasty and always leaves you full all at a good price don't be put off by the fact it's a little turret places in middle of the town they really know how to make a decent burger :-)

They have seats but under large umbrellas. So don't expect to be inside somewhere warm. It's a fast food place but it does exactly as it says on the tin and does it well.

Had a burger with bacon and cheese and it was absolutely gorgeous so juicy and full of flavour not too prices either

Floury burger buns, brilliantly fast service, very lovely, friendly, cheery staff, great sauce selection, very juicy and tasty burgers, strongly recommend it, especially their turret tower burger, such a challenge to keep it inside your burger, especially when you have steak in the burger

We saw that they did 4 different veggie burgers so stopped to try one.I had the quorn burger & a coke my friend had the spicy bean burger.Both were gorgeous and the lady serving was lovely. We sat on the tables just by the cafe.If ever in the area again we will be back

This hidden gem of a place is seriously well worth considering for a quick breakfast or lunch stop. Although cheap and cheerful - think outside picnic table seats (although parasol covered) and mugs of tea rather than fine bone china, the burgers are to die for - floury buns filled with succulent steak burgers with cheese, onion, bacon - whatever you want, and at a very reasonable price and all cooked in the tiniest imaginable kitchen.Conveniently located at the bottom of Priory Meadow it is a perfect fuel stop with pleasant service. Griddled food - hot dogs burgers and bacon butties served with a decent mug of tea - what could be better!

This used to be my dad's favourite snack bar. We tried it again recently and the bacon sandwich was spot on as was the hotdog.

this is a very unique burger bar. most are served from a van but this one is served from a building that looks like a castle turret. the burgers are freshly cooked each time and your never waiting to long. they also got a few tables outside for you to eat if you dont want to eat whilst walking. the owners are very friendly to and the prices arent bad either.

This is just outstanding. The burgers are to die for and considering the size of the place this is just truly stunning. 1 flaw is the seagulls but they don't bother you much. In the heart of town so easy to find and well worth a try.

A quirky small establishment with big choice on menu.I went for the Burger, freshly cooked, great taste and very good value.You have to eat outside which is a little off putting as I appeared to be the only none smoker there!

Great friendly service from staff, happy to change things around to please their customers. Lovely long hot dogs with freshly cooked onions (ketchup if you like it) The burgers are ample size and great flavour, plenty of drinks to choose from hot or cold.Perfectly situated in the town centre opposite the cinema and Mr Beans coffee shop. Would recommend a visit.

Mi experiencia en este país no fue del todo buena, al menos en hastings! Pero a nivel gastronómico , la verdad es que fue penosa, ningún lugar está a salvo de productos congelados, de baja calidad etc... Pero he de reconocer con mucho placer que en este pequeño servicio de comida rápida disfrute no una si no varias veces de posiblemente la mejor hamburguesa de hastings! Muy buenas y 100% recomendable!

I've been eating at the Turret for about ten years, it's always my choice for a burger! Really good ingredients, cooked whilst you wait and oh-so tasty! They have vegetarian options too. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

I have eaten here for a number of years. Love their veggie breakfast baps a little messy to eat and cooked on a separate grill from the meat. My carnivore friends love the homemade burgers, hot dogs, chicken. As it is a small kitchen they can't do chips. They will adapt the meals if you are with fussy children who don't like onions, cheese etc. Definitely better than McDonald's

For years I walked past this small stone building, just smelling the food cooking but never trying, But now I have, I wish I had gone there from day one. Handmade burgers are possibly the best i have ever tried, but my favourite item off their menu has to be the chicken pittas, tikka, chinese, mexican or simply plain, they are AMAZING. All the food is freshly cooked by the polite and bubbly staff, who are always seen to be smiling and having a laugh.Would highly recommend the turret grill.

Small, simple, fresh, friendly. Located in the heart of hastings its nice to eat real non frozen burgers, real bacon in a decent roll. Try the turrett tower for size!

It is worth seeking out what has to be the smallest takeaway in the country. This small stone turrett located at the Russell Street end of the shopping centre serves bugers, hot dogs tea and coffees all day long. (no chips for heath and safety reasons)There are picnic tables outside ,and if you chose to eat there, your food is served on china plates . For less than £5 you get a half pounder with chese , bacon and egg plus a cup of tea. All freshly cooked to order. There is always a queue , but sit and chat to the other diners , they Hastings people are always friendly and happy to recomend other places to visit/ things to do.
