Turquoise in Glasgow City

First night in Glasgow and needed some late food. I would recommend.

To be honest, this is very disappointing as they said they serve Kabbab, really!!! I will give zero to the presentation Zero to the service and communication skills Will I come back again, big NO My advice: Try and improve your communication skills. Try ans explain the food you are doing. Try and wear cloves which SHOULD BE STANDER. Make your own bread, at least. I'm very disappointed, to be honest!

Orderd lamb kebab gave us a donner we also had a pizza ,large chicken kebab absolutely no taste so bland had to add my own spices to give it a kick spent £28 when a got back to Ek never again its not the kebab shop it was wen it started out back in the 80s yes that's how long av be going sorry to say never ever going back poor standards tasteless food sad to say

These were the best best chips I have had in my life. The sauce was life changing. Thank you.

If you like burnt, overcooked, overpriced food that will make you vomit. THEN LOOK NO FURTHER! I paid near 10 quid for a "large" burnt chicken wrap with garlic mayo that was just soured cream with herbs in it, then threw up about 4 minutes later! This was just now BTW, like 30 mins ago. Please go elsewhere for your wallet, stomach, and most importantly, your taste buds experience

Do not order from this Kebab shop, I ordered a chicken wrap Kebab with lots of sauce and the taste of it was not like the usual kebab, overpriced tho.

I visited turquoise and I tried no. 4 pizza and it was lovely and the staff îs freindly too

We had dinner at this place and everyone loved the food. We had Nove Pizza, Chicken Donner, and Munchy Box. All were really good. Staffs were very friendly and polite. Highly Recommended.

3 people 2 different households, got food from there all of us clearly got food poisoning, one with just chips had a bit of a dodgy stomach other 2 of us, we got a pizza and a kebab and was horrendously ill and still are. 4th person was out with us who never ate from here and was fine. Never again and this was Saturday/Sunday morning and I am still a mess.

I do appreciate the worker taking 40p off my order went home and he deffos put less donner to make up 40 or even a couple of pound. Rest was given to a homless man. Wish I could show how putrid the donner looked but I have not got it anymore. I would only recommend the burger if the proper person was there.

The BEST kebabs in scotland. And that comes from a southerner who has eaten the best in London. If you want a real Turkish kebab, this is the place to go

Horrible, kebab meat tasted out of date. Guys serving seemed more interesting in arguing with each other than serving customers. Never again all I wanted was a mixed kebab before I went back to my hotel, ended up throwing the whole thing in the bin

Wow! What a steaming pile of turd this place is! Arrived in Glasgow late at night and was feeling peckish, visited the nearest takeaway which unfortunately for me was this hovel! Was charged £8 for a pathetic kebab and didn’t have a solid s**te for 2 days afterwards, avoid at all costs 👎

Been going for 20 years. Was ace! Brilliant staff food was excellent and varied. Shut during covid understandably and re-opened and went back to see but to my horror its been gutted. Vastly reduced menu, not even a sarbeni, and the quality has suffered too. Assured its still same management but i doubt it. GUTTED!

The restaurant should change the side with delivery and payment. I ordered food delivered to my home, it was canceled. I have not received a refund of over £ 30. I ordered the first time and the last one. There are no problems with just eat and the delivery of GURU is hopeless !!! Zero contact despite calling and e-mailing. I do not get poorer and the restaurant does not get rich with such rudeness and appropriation of money. I am probably not the first and the last !! I do not recommend it with all my heart. You don't treat people and your own customers like that. It is very unpleasant when no one answers the call, and the money that has been deducted is not returned to the account. Prices are £ My pizza was great, however, the Donner Kebab my gf had her throwing up at 2am. Place was relatively clean so we think the Donner meat was off or not prepared correctly.

Made order at 3am, phoned at half 4 and was told food was still to leave the shop at 5am no food had arrived. Shocking service would of been better just waiting for my breakfast.

Apparently a plain cheeseburger comes drenched in garlic sauce even after saying don't want sauce.

Kebab ok - although this is not the same shop as it used to be. I have known this shop for 12 years and was my go to place for a Sarbeni and made a special trip there couple times a year for one (I don’t live in Glasgow) after my long shift I decided to go to this landmark for a long awaited sarbeni, to my surprise I couldn’t see them on the menu and the staff explained they aren’t doing them anymore, I opted for a large donner kebab instead, £7.50, expensive but I understand it’s the city centre and it’s 2am but the large kebab was much smaller than my expectations, I did ask if that was a large and I was assured it was. Shop outside was a mess with rubbish, food and wrappers food from late nights revellers, I always remember this place being pristine and staff keeping the shop front tidy. Good shop that used to provide great food and good service has been replaced by an outlet that now only caters to drunks. Quality and service have gone 😕

Had to update this post, I was disappointed to find the shop had changed hands. Atmosphere in the shop is gone and the special menu they have had for 20 years is gone. Sad indeed 🥺

Turquoise used to be a Glasgow institution. They didn’t survive the initial Covid lock down and are now owned by the next door grill guru. This isn’t Turquoise anymore. This used to be the best takeaway in Glasgow. Amazing meals at amazing prices and the friendliest staff that knew your name and what your order was. Now the quality has went through the floor and prices through the roof. A sad time and the end of an era. RIP turquoise.

Came here after a night out, it's changed hands recently and if you have ever been in the past you'll remember how amazing the food was and the portion sizes etc Sadly this is not the case now, it's a typical takeover poor products cheap in quality and they have reduced the size portions but kept or increased the prices which was the last straw for me. Will never be back do not recommend!

Wish if there was any lower than one star to award. Sarbini off the Manu,so I ordered 12" chicken Donner pizza with small lamb Donner kebab and small portion of chips, came to £20. Literally 8 small pieces of chicken Donner on dry and hard pizza, juiceless and dry lamb Donner kebab looks like yesterday's leftover refreshed served with less than half of small container of cold, oily and soggy chips. Poor customer care and extremely poor quality food. Discovered this place is owned by next door restaurant owners and was under new management when asked about welcoming and happy real Turkish faces used to serve. Bet you any money they can run this place and will stay there longer than a year. Serving too little, too poor quality for the price far too high. NEVER AGAIN. countdown is on the wall for their closure.

"We only do 12 inch pizzas". Dae ye, aye? A ten inch pizza in a twelve inch box for the price of a twelve in pizza. Taking the absolute mick and the pizza was awful into the bargain. Hard, dry base and not even cooked fully! Clearly a pre-packaged base as well, tastes like cardboard! Nawwwww.

Where do I start? My previous review of this place was 5 star and probably one of the best in Glasgow. Now, lucky if it's getting one star. Had the misfortune of going in tonight and walked out with nothing. New owners and it has gone downhill rapidly. Hardly anything apart from kebabs or pizzas which are well overpriced. Sarbenni's which Turquoise was famous for, aren't even listed. Guy in front got a donner kebab and it looked terrible. Sad day for Sarbenni lovers and for Glasgow's kebab lovers. Come back the original owners as this place will be shut in 6 months the way its going.

Really poor quality food. The lamb doner was undercooked and the chicken doner was mostly fat and swimming in grease. Ordered online to save myself some time. Went to collect after half an hour and still ended up waiting 10 minutes. I certainly won't be returning to this place

Sarbeni on the menu but they cant be bothered making it anymore......"Takes too long". Used to be a favourite but wouldn't waste my time going back. This place used to be the best.....Not anymore.

Used to do the best sarbeni in Glasgow, no more! Drove around 7 miles to pick up 2 x sarbeni. Told no takes too long....what? No too much time! Wow they are on you menu? No! Total waste of time & wouldn't recommend to anyone. Not to mention place was empty & dirty looking. Not how it used to be back in the day.

Ordered on just eat waited over an hour phoned takeaway to be told it was with the driver waited another half an hour still no sign phoned back they said it will be with us soon it’s with the driver, another 20minutes past phoned back and they told us to contact the deliver driver we phoned the delivery driver who then told us she never had our food in the first place, phoned back the takeaway who had no customer service skills and they kept hanging up on us, requested money back off just eat will never be back and do not recommend wasting your money!!

Dearest for chips cheese & kebab meat 9pound for large not a good show for price asks for sauce in a seperate plastic container pours on the meat looks like new owner taking over luke warm kebab meat aswell so not sure if been waiting in for a while as quiet!!...

Excellent food, good service, what else do you need?

Ordered a kebab the other night for me and my partner through there online website as it was for the two of us I paid an extra £2 for a king kebab it's was supposed to be a mixed king instead we received about 5 strands of dried out Krispy kebab meat lots of un identifiable chicken pieces rotten is an understatement and instead of a nan or pitta bread or something it arrived in what can only be described as a small waffle type bread paid nearly £15 and went straight in the bin also salad was thrown all about box !!! Never buy from here worste place in Glasgow for a kebab stay well clear ....

Best chicken kebab ive ever had, staff friendly and the sauce is excellent, defo recommend never had a bad experience food is top notch👌

BEST KEBAB shop in Glasgow Chicken Donner Sarbeini best ever

I don't expect to get the best quality at 3am, but I expect it to at least be edible. Kebab smelled like the meat had gone off, and literally one, very hesitant bite, confirmed the meat definitely was not good to eat. Even the bread was hard and crispy, worst takeaway I've tried in Glasgow, gave it a try due to the claim of being the "first original" but won't have another try, literally ate none of the food, had one bite and spit it out, threw the food out for the foxes, kinda feel bad, but interested to see if even the foxes dare eat it.

A little customer service goes a long way and this place has none. Prices are also over the top, and charging for a small spoonful of sauce when people are paying what they are is poor

Best doner kebab in City Centre. Their sauce is quite unique and the staff are always friendly.

Open till late about 5.30 am , emergancy food when you hungrey , all kinda kababs and piza n chips etc served till very late in qood quality, staff is friendly aswell in glasgow city center, just near train station

Turquoise is a takeaway, so if you are out and about in Glasgow and feeling peckish, take my word for it and go and try a sarbeni, very inexpensive and enough for two, get them to half it.

Best food quality of any kebab shop in town. You may pay a wee bit more... But you get what you pay for. Shish kebabs are awesome. And if you're really hungry.. A sarbeni is amazing and great value for money. Great place.

Visited this kebab shop whilst over visiting glasgow. Ordered x2 kebabs in nan to which i was given 2 'king kebabs' without the option of even being asked which cost £16 ish!! For 2 kebabs in my opinion is absolutely scandallas ive had ones the same size back in northern ireland for half the price! The kebab was cold, i had asked for garlic mayo on both but what was applied was mint sauce, which i absolutely hate so weither the cold kebba was nice or not the sauce ruined it for me. Donar meat tasted OK but would not be back.

This is the BEST city centre kebab place going. I've been going for years and the chicken kebabs are something else 👍🏽 Great gluten free option without the pita bread. Delicious.

Been going to Turquoise on and off for years. I only ever get the plain Sarbeni, it’s absolutely brilliant.

When in town this is my go to Kebab shop. Usual pizza's, burgers etc. Love the special chicken Kebab and my absolute favourite the special chicken Sarbeni. I've used this shop for years.

convenient to hotel, made it our regular; food prepared was superb, made to specific requirements ( when discovered we didn't want bread the guys included free chips ; even though couldn't eat them because yeah anyway, I digress. Turquoise food: ordered grilled chicken, salad, and houmous , the food we experienced was prepared perfectly. Specialist Turkish produce i watches being prepared while waiting on my order appeared delicious. The staff I encountered were attentive curtious, and kind. Local area seems a bit rough, and there are numerous 'fast-food' options relatively nearby . Sarbini mentioned on a number of reviews appears authentically prepared Turkish flat bread topped with a fresh appearing herby-tomato sauce and multiple toppings. Falafel look good, possibly next time .. If our food was anything to go by, and you have a preference(s), or, allergy whatever; Turquoise.

First visit to Turquoise this morning. Über-friendly staff and a good quality, value-priced kebab.

Been here a number of times and we are never disappointed. Food is great and the staff are friendly! Have had a few different things from the menu but the pizzas are definitely a favourite.

Ordered a large donner at £6.90 and got one the size of a small compared to my usual place where I can get that for £4. Average tasting and hardly got any salad. Gave 2 stars as tasted worst but overpriced.

It doesn't get better than Turquoise for a quality kebab in Glasgow, most especially the Chicken donner. Add to that the fresh made SarBeni and friendliness of staff and it's no surprise this place has sustained its success over so many years.
