Turquoise Gourmet in Stockport

Reposting here for pattiserie. We came to cafe turquoise after seeing it busy all the time. We really don't understand it's popularity. Awful service from Rashkor (apologies if name spelt incorrectly), who was very rude and often forgot things we'd asked for - water (we waited 25 mins before being able to ask again because they never checked on us), condiments or even things we'd already ordered. When the food did arrive, the beans were watery and the mushrooms had clearly just been taken out of a pickled jar. The vinegar taste from the mushrooms was overwhelming and when you sliced them, your plate was doused with vinegar which ruined the taste of everything else. As positives, portion sizes are generous - fries were large and we got three poached eggs each with brunch, hashbrowns yummy.

After missing many family celebrations, we decided to have a get together at one of old regular haunts. As usual, Turquoise didn't let us down. The staff and the food are excellent. If you love barbecued meats, you will love it here. I have also chosen the fish and veggie options on many occasions and they are also delicious. Go on, treat yourself to a night out at Turquoise!

Our absolute favourite restaurant as a family. We just love the food, presented really nicely too. The staff are great, especially with our boys. I would recommend you to everyone. We usually go for the set menu, the portion sizes and perfect and the price is great too. We’ve also had the mixed chargrill too and wow it’s beautiful!

I have visited the patisserie on many occasions and have enjoyed it every single time. However, today was very busy and the waitress was trying her best to go above any beyond. After waiting quite a long time, the food arrived and it was shocking. I couldn't cut the chicken, it was leathery and overcooked. The Head chef arrived clearing plates when people hadn't even finished eating, leaning over people, rushing them, taking half filled glasses away, dropping food etc. quite rude; I think the waitress was embarrassed. The waitress was amazing, the chef should stay in the kitchen and try to produce edible food.

The cocktail was fantastic the rest was terrible! I had salmon which was like leather, overcooked didn't even resemble fish anymore! My wife chicken was either undercooked or reheated had a strange texture to it! Something not right about the materials being used or how being cooked

Restaurant was very busy but hardly surprising. Given that there was wonderful food, great service, good value and very extensive menu.

Came in last week regular customer with my friend she was horrified to see that a £34 bill paid with cash and a card payment ended up to coming to £40! What a cheek the grey haired waiter decided to add a £6 tip to our bill My friend of course didn’t want to complain out of embarrassment for the lovely place it is ! So therefore hope the managers get to see this Staff should get tipped when the customers decided also if they wished too Food lovely service outstanding nothing worst than a thief on the books! Watch your next bill will be going again but will be mentioning to the manager next time il tip cash thanks ! Not cheekily on my friends credit card ! Short man with grey hair watch out for him ! Too Rude that was ! He said he’d refund it but my friend was too embarrassed to ask him to come back by that time he was smiling already had us over ! Not nice! We paid £20 cash and £14 on the card and he greedy man decided to take £6 tip! The youngens don’t even get that ! Not acceptable when it’s a food critic that landed at the shop! Again many thanks !

Looked at the menu all day and made selections based on website. Very much looking forward to our meal.On calling they rudely said they were not doing takeaway or home delivery as they were too busy. Despite the website proudly advertising these options.But the way they rudely delivered this message was appalling I complained and said expect a bad review, the 'whatever' was barked and the phone went dead.Shame, but now it opens the non factual blurb like the place looks like a pretentious posing palace. Ugh

This is a fabulous cafe and we called in for Sunday brunch. It was lovely sunny day and it had a great airy feel with the large windows down. I had the turquoise breakfast which was not quite I was expecting but delicious nonetheless. Service was up to its usual high standard

Out following the easing of some lockdown restrictions we called here for Sunday brunch. Lovely airy patisserie with open windows to allow diners to enjoy the sunshine. We enjoyed Avocado with poached egg and also the Turquoise Breakfast - delicious

First time back since reopening. We were made very welcome as usual and the food was excellent.Very relaxed atmosphere and service was spot on. Staff there when you needed them, but not on top of you all the time asking if you’re ok. Our favourite place to eat in Bramhall.Thanks guys keep up the good work and see you soon x

This place is absolutely to die for so I’d suggest to previous reviews if nothing nice to say then don’t bother nit picking place is always packed at night and hard to get in at weekends the food is outstanding and the service didn’t have a problem with what so ever excellent place excellent spot too will defo be going back again with friends many times fab place to go and whole damn site better than picccolinos menu

Reduced from 5 star to 1 star. I have been here a few times and always spent over £150 each visit. Invited my son in law and girlfriend for a celebratory meal, first time we've seen them in 16 months due to covid. Went in to book tonight for 6 and was told we weren't allowed to book children in due to covid. I have two children who have manners and sit down at the table and eat their meal. If you have similar children and want a family night out, here is not the place for you. Will not come back.

A popular place , the problem was everything seemed to be with mince and I would question the quality and providence of the meat

I can’t find the TA for the cafe but it’s the same people so here goes. We’ve been when you could eat in and always been very impressed. We wanted some lunch so called in for a takeaway panini. The service is a bit slow as there’s only one person taking orders and preparing food but it was worth it. The panini were excellent and the cakes we bought were delicious. I was slightly surprised there isn’t a discount for takeaways but it wouldn’t stop us going back.

All show and no authenticity! The 3 cakes we bought cost of £15 and were nothing but factory floor work with no flavour to live up to the price, not worth the calories! I’ve bought better cakes from Tesco’s! Very disappointing! Further they also did not give any customer service! Don’t waste your money here on cake! Go to Tesco’s for a fraction of the cost and they will be fresher too and not sitting festering in whatever lifeless corona pit the atmosphere is

Having recently moved to the area I visited here for the first time with my fiancée . I heard good reports and also looked at the reviews prior to going, having said that we went with an open mind . Upon arrival the restaurant was immaculately clean, and we received a very warm welcome from Garo, whom I presume is the General Manager. We chose a table in the window and were handed the menus which offered something to suit all tastes and appetites. Garo did point out the “Early Bird” option but we decided to just opt for mains from the main menu. I ordered the mixed grill whilst my fiancée ordered a lamb dish. The food was served promptly and looked very appetising . Both our meals were cooked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Garo was very attentive and also very kindly gave us a complimentary dessert to share which was a kind gesture. A lovely evening with superb service and excellent food.

We visited for our wedding anniversary and had an evening to brighten our day.Manager Garo, was excellent as ever, welcoming and kind. The food was as always outstanding. I had filo and spinach patries followed by salmon. My husband had the same starter but followed with seabass . All excellent and massive portions. The Covid precautions were excellent and Garo went to great pains to make sure we were from the same household and that we covered our faces when walking about the restaurant. Well done Turquoise.

Could not find TA for the cafe.. This is my review! Driven past several times and always busy! Bigger kitchen and fast food menu than expected. Excellent cakd selection. Bright and roomy with excellent staff. Coffee a tad bitter for me. Decent addition!

Had a party of great friends for a gathering after such a long time at Turquise Bramhall, need not to say or mention anything as we all had a great & Fab time, great reception, lovely greeting by Mr. Garo and talk about the delicious cuisine.... ENDLESS.... "Gorgeous"... Best compliments goes to the Chef, the whole team and the Management.

Wonderful food and service impeachment Cannot fault. Service excellent. Would definitely recommend. Been several times now and always good.

Went with my daughter for coffee and cakes at 3pm on Friday Sept 18th. The cafe is spacious and the windows open fully which is all good. I did not feel that they were taking enough precautions, however:1.They didn’t record any details from us. 2.The man behind the counter (proprietor?) had a mask below his chin which he pulled up and down to speak to customers and colleagues. He was also serving cakes. Hygienic? 3. The woman behind the counter was not wearing a mask. She also served the table next to us and took our payment, without a mask. 4. The three waiters were all wearing masks. As we are facing stricter measures, these people seem to be making up their own rules and that isn’t acceptable.

On 24th August I booked a table for 18th September for my friend's birthday. She loves Turquoise at Cheadle so I thought it would be a nice change for her. On arriving, a man (who I was later told is the manager) approached us. Apparently he had no record of our booking in the diary. He asked to see our confirmation whilst he begrudgingly searched through the online booking system. We were left stood in the doorway feeling extremely uncomfortable whilst other diners looked on. Eventually he mumbled something and I asked had he found our booking to which he replied "would it make you happy if I said yes?" in the most arrogant of ways. He then told a waiter to show us to a table but said "you normally have a table for 2 hours but if you could free it by 8pm" (which would have made it 1.5 hrs). We sat at the table feeling humiliated but more importantly like we were not wanted there. There was no attempt at any sort of an apology for the error, if anything we were made to feel like we were in the wrong and they were doing us a favour accommodating us. From the table, I telephoned YardBird who were able to allocate us a table and we walked out of Turquoise to the restaurant around the corner where we were warmly welcomed and the customer service and food was amazing. My friend had a lovely birthday but it wasn't thanks to Turquoise.

Paid £60 for a gift voucher for friends to celebrate their Golden Wedding way back in January. Booked a table and checked it was ok to use during the government scheme, as they were full at weekends. They went to pay and rudely told it couldn’t be used. Eventually they accepted it , but the evening was spoiled. Have been in touch via email and messenger and they have not even acknowledged my messages. Very disappointed, won’t be spending my usual money on vouchers for Christmas gifts!

All four people in our party absolutely loved the food here. Service was great and will be back again in the future

I visited with a friend at lunch time. They were offering the government deal of 50% off. Really good meal at great prices. At full price it would gave been good.

Food was okey, not the best Turkish I had in UK, but definitely not the ambiance, right in the middle of Bramhall....It is more like fast food place rather then for night out for couples...

3 rd visit to Turquoise in Bramhall and definitely the best. Also first time eating out since lockdown. The staff were great and they’ve really thought about social distancing and set out the restaurant so you don’t feel uncomfortable. Staff all wear face masks too. Food was exceptional we had the mezze to start then I had the lamb moussaka. My friend had the lamb shank which was enormous! Food has definitely improved since my last visit and I’ll definitely be coming back. Well done and thanks for a lovely evening

The best, hands down, food to be delivered from Bramhall. Stunning lamb, everytime!! We have the mixed grill and lamb and have never been disappointed.

I booked a few tables for my Mum's 70th birthday and they were very helpful from the moment I booked it to the moment we left. Tables were lovely and decorated as asked and the food was really nice. The food is really good value for money and my mum's 70th ran smoothly without a hitch to which I am very grateful in making this a special night.

This restaurant is one of our favourites great food, great service and reasonable prices. I really dont understand the negative reviews. It's a very laid back atmosphere and non pretentious. Love it!

We visited here last night as a get together for a few friends. The food was okay. Some people’s meals better than others. Drinks prices though were madness I would pay less for a double in a nightclub! Malibu and Diet Coke £7 seriously?? I don’t get to go out very often and chose that night to have a drink, bad mistake and very expensive one! I didn’t order dessert as my budget had been used up on my drinks bill and so glad I didn’t the portion sizes again for the price are very dear. Will be choosing a different venue for our next meet-up that’s for sure.

Met up with friends and we all had the early bird menu. Food was great as always, and the ambiance and service was very good. This place has become our regular meeting place and we always have a lovely time. We will definitely be back soon.

We used the early bird offer arriving at 5:30. Not many other diners there, but it started filling up soon after we arrived. Food was lovely, mixed starters, chicken sis and stuffed aubergine. Service was attentive. On previous visits later in the evening, we have noticed it can drop off a bit when the restaurant is full. A very enjoyable evening. We will be going again

Great food, friendly staff, can really recommend this restaurant. Took a friend, it was his first visit and he was impressed, both by the service and the menu choice.

Just been this evening- what a let down . We waited 25 minutes before a drinks order was taken. The noise level was unbelievable. Staff looking right at yiu and then walk on . We asked one male who appeared to be the owner but he seemed more interested in having his dinner at a nearby table. Starters are pleasant but the mains are tasteless. We had to physically wave to get anyone’s attention for coffee or pudding . A shame because the interior is nice and it could be great. This is an example of mediocrity doing well because they have a captive market with the village

Located in the Village Square in Brahmall this is a popular restauarnt which is easy to find and there is no shortage of parking (even if this means a walk across the village).Access is easy and the interior is modern and vibrant.The place itself is very busy and so booking is recommended (although not essential - I guess it depends upon the size of your party).As you can see most people give this place an excellent rating so why have I gone for average?1. Service: Being busy means that you almost have to compete with your neighbours to order drinks and food. We tried a number of times to order drinks (unsuccessfully) and hence we had something of a wait. When it came to ordering starters the waiter talked to the first couple and then just said loudly that it was only those people who wanted starters and we kept having to say 'no' and add our orders (this didn't occur for the main course as he actually walked around the table and addressed each person in turn).2. Food: The food is OK. The scallops didn't really taste of much, the baklava was a little dry and the main course was fine. Don't get me wrong - there is nothing particulalrly wrong with the food but then again it's nothing to shout about.3. 'Happy Birthday' Music: If you are present when it's someone's birthday then be prepared for a burst of canned music.4. Noise: It is busy and it's consequently very noisy.In the final analysis going to this restaurant won't be a bad decision but I believe that there are much better choices to be had offering a better atmosphere and food at a similar cost.

We have been to this restaurant on many occasions and we are never disappointed. The portions are generous, food is home cooked, excellent and tasty. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Prices are reasonable for what you get. We would recommend this place to everyone.

We fancied a night out and visited here for the first time for a couple of years.We started with some olives and a mixed mezze platter. These were very substantial and the dips were very tasty.For mains, we decided to share a chicken sis (basically chunks of skewered chicken) and a mixed sizzler (lamb and chicken in a sauce). The sizzler was lovely and tasty with a good kick and some sweetness, which may not be to everyone's taste.The service was very good, definitely worth a visit.

This place is always excellent. Food fresh and lots of choice and super tasty. Service and staff 1st class and very welcoming. Set menus are great value.

After much consideration we decided to attend Turquoise in Bramhall a try for our annual Christmas works outing. We all have to say that the service, food and food presentation was excellent. We look forward to returning throughout 2020. Once again many thanks from all that attended from the Alma Lodge Hotel.

As a native of Bramhall who now lives in Turkey I have to say that Turquoise really does offer a taste of home. The food is lovely and truly representative of traditional Turkish cuisine, it offers excellent value and the staff are always really welcoming and give a chance to practice my Turkish. We had a lovely afternoon and will be back on my next trip home in March

Went there for Christmas Day , was really looking forward to it ! 1 word “SHOCKING “ ,, afraid I cannot say anything good about the place , will not be going back for a very long time !!

We decided to try Turquoise on Christmas Day as a change to The Pointing Dog, what a mistake !

Had a very tasty meal here which was so generous, we needed a doggy bag! Staff were attentive and professional.

The restaurant is lovely. Very Inviting & very warm. Easily seated. Only problem is the seating we chose just needed a wipe but not a big deal. However, the waiter who came to wipe the table was not friendly. Told my husband to move the menus whilst he wiped the table. The cloth used smelled of grease & obviously hadn't been rinsed & left a lamb grease smell on the table which was overpowering & made me want to leave. Why not have a nice smelling environmentally friendly spray/cleaner & hot cloth. It was really off putting. For that reason I wont return

I have been visiting this resteraunt for last couple of years usually going most months. Table booked last Saturday 16th at 6.30pm. Waited 20 minutes after being given a menu. No sign of any drinks or order so left. One of the managers was too busy on his phone at rhe front of the bar to notice we had gone. Other staff were sat at a table near entrance to toilet. I later rang resteraunt to inform them of why we had left. Advised the Manager would call me back. Guess what?? Im still waiting for the call !!

Highly recommend, hot and a cold meze starter. Everything was gorgeous. Sea bass as a main, it didn’t disappoint! Husband had a chicken sis, it was excellent. Lovely airy restaurant and super friendly staff. Will be going back.

The food was rather tasty, however slightly over priced, but the location is excellent, it’s very clean, the decor/interior is lovely and the staff are excellent, polite and friendly!

We have just enjoyed a delicious lunch which, as always, was beautifully presented and fantastic value. Service is friendly, all food is very fresh and the sea bass plump and seasoned to perfection. Turquoise is our first choice for any celebration as we know we will never be disappointed.

Sophia was staying the night at ours and asked if we were going to go to Turquoise? Well how could we refuse. Marie booked the table for four, Uncle Mark came too. One of the waiters has the name George so she called out for him most of the night and he obliged in attending. They're extremely child friendly Sophia loved it. The staff are attentive and courteous, you couldn't wish for better. The food is first class and there's plenty of it.

A birthday event for a party of 17. Service and food were both excellent and plenty of choice on the early bird evening menu.

Visited Saturday evening with friends, we were lucky enough to get a table although it was very busy. Staff very friendly and attentive. The food was so tasty and you get such big portions!! Left feeling full and satisfied 😊

First time to eat here but it won’t be the last! Food was so tasty, well cooked and lovely presentation. Service was quick and meal came quite quickly. And good value for money. Do give it a try...... we will definitely be back

Had a fantastic meal. The staff were extremely friendly and service was excellent. Food was delicious with nice large portions, no chance of going home hungry! Had starters and mains but then too full for dessert.

We keep going back hoping each time it will get better, but unfortunately it doesn't, waited too long to be served between courses , starters where cold , mains all taste the same , lamb casserole tasted the same as the chicken kebabs!!!!!! We won't be going back sorry

We've now eaten many times in Turquoise Bramhall and I must say we have always very much enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service has always been pleasant and efficient. We find the food to be very tasty and really enjoy going together or with family and friends...it's a great location for all occasions. Definetely recommend.

Our granddaughter Sophia was sleeping over as her mum and dad were on a night out, so we took her to her favourite restaurant Turquoise in Bramhall. As we arrived the staff gave us the usual pleasant greeting and made a fuss of Sophia. After being showed to our table and orders taken the staff ensured Sophia was made to be the centre of attention. It seems it's their nature to spoil children. The orders were taken and the food arrived. Fabulous food, well presented and served with a smile

Visited this restaurant with family. Something for everyone, very reasonably priced with generous portions. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Will certainly be back. Well done to all the team.

We’ve been to Turquoise Gourmet on many occasions, in fact, it’s my 92 year old mothers restaurant of choice! She loves it and is to be found there at least once a month. It’s a smart Bramhall Turkish and Mediterranean style restaurant, with a very extensive menu, and the most excellent value lunch and early bird menu available.

Been a few times now and everything we've tried has been delicious. Great value especially at lunchtimes. Great for families also - lovely service. Highly recommended.

I have visited here many times for the lunch set menu and every time without fault. I do order the same item though hot mezze then turquoise chicken so should really try something different. The chocolate cake and cheesecake is also delicious. Enjoy and look forward to visiting

There is plenty of choice of restaurants in Bramhall village and this one of our favourites. It provides friendly, helpful service and a great selection of delicious food. At the time of our visit (early evening on a Saturday) the restaurant was extremely busy as there were a number of birthday parties being celebrated - so just as well that we had booked! Good portion sizes with so many great menu choices we are sure to be back in the near future!

Want a menu that is full of diverse cultural dishes, then this is the place to go.

Not the first time of visiting Turquoise for dinner. We do enjoy coming here and on this occasion friends of our family had recommended the restaurant to our family members joining us. The restaurant is always popular at the weekend and on this occasion it proved that this is always the case.

Marie and I were having our granddaughter over night, so as a treat we took her to one of our favourite restaurants, she also knows the staff there and they're brilliant with young children. The food was nothing less than fabulous.

Yet another good 2-course lunch at our favourite Bramhall restaurant, and for £10.95 per head 7 days per week it really is most excellent value.

We visited this restaurant in early April this year, and found it excllelent as always, from the staff who go over and above to help you be it menu selection or drinks or just seating arrangements they are happy to help, and the food is lovely, modern turkish with a twist.

Visited this restaurant quite a few times previously and have yet to be disappointed. On this particular occasion Saturday 19.30 ish it was far busier than on previous visits and this did affect the service which was quite slow.

A really pleasant restaurant, the bright and airy surroundings make it feel holiday-like. I had the hummus and lamb to start, excellent hummus and a perfect sharer. For main I had the mixed charcoal grill, no complaints whatsoever - all of the meat was perfectly cooked and very tasty; it's a huge portion! All washed down with a couple of Efes, good stuff!

An excellent lunch with good and courteous service. We had pre-booked for 1.30 but there was no problem with us arriving a little early. We were not rushed into ordering and the whole experience was one of satisfaction. We chose from the lunchtime smart menu, which involved 2 courses and the portions were more than adequate. Will be going again.

Visited Turquoise this evening for a family meal. Food was very good quality and reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

I, along with family and friends have eaten at Turquoise on many occasions and have always had a friendly welcome by the staff. We have never had a bad meal and have always enjoyed the food. I have however, just one gripe and that is that it can be very noisy from all the customers talking. At times it's difficult to have a conversation with the people you are with as we can't hear ourselves speak. I don't know how someone with a hearing aids would manage other than turning them off. Some sound proofing would be a great addition.

Love this place ! Excellent food and service and such a nice atmosphere too . Been twice and want to go again soon .

I love Turkish food and this is by far the best I have had. The food is always catered to my requirements and the staff are so lovely and friendly.

Went for the early evening menu. Set choice of meals which is varied and should suit most people and represents good value. Nice meal, tasty but not really spicy; I usually choose the turquoise chicken and always enjoy it.

I have just returned from dining here with my family, the food was lovely, we shared the mixed grill and fish between 6 of us (more than enough), however seeing as though it was only us and another table the service was really slow and the staff looked and sounded as though they really didn't want to be there. They weren't attentive at all and we found it hard to even catch someone's eye! It was a shame as the food was lovely, we just didn't get the 'experience' we were hoping for as said in other reviews. I think I would avoid going back here

3/3 the family went to Turquoise for my birthday, the staff were up to there normal high standard. My granddaughter really made my night. The staff loved her too. The food was cracking (brilliant). Definitely one of my favourite places to eat.

Had a lovely meal with friends. If you have a big appetite you will be very happy here as portions are very generous.

Turquoise is a great place to eat in. It is very clean ,lovely decor. nice and bright.Great food at reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Staff are efficient and pleasant especially the man who calls every one darling (as another reviewer commented on) Lots of competition in Bramhall with places to eat but you cant beat this place if you like their menu.

What a great night we had at Turquoise tonight. Amazing food, lovely staff and very nice surroundings. I have nothing but praise for the excellent service especially by the waiter commonly known tonight as ‘darling’ - he knows who he is. We'd planned for a while where to go for a meal to celebrate Tom and Jan's retirement meal. Marie decided on Turquoise in Bramhall. As we arrived we were all greeted with professionalism and courtesy we were shown to our table which was marked by a helium balloon, which I took down earlier in the day. Drinks were ordered then we were given to look at the menu.

I went here twice in one week; the second time for my birthday. Impressed with professionalism of staff from greeting to serving menu choices. Freshest food in generous proportions and beautifully presented. Choices for different diets as part of the same family of Turkish food. Loved it. Recommend the Turkish coffee.

Had meal here on a quiet Monday night. Place clean and tidy. Welcomed by staff and shown to table. Guy who took order very knowledgeable about what was on menu. Food was well cooked and enjoyable. Service good and unrushed. Pleasant atmosphere.

4 of us visited on a Saturday night and it was packed. It was a very cold night and we had reserved a table near the windows. Not the best as their was a bit of a draft from them. They did have ceiling heaters which helped enormously. Service throughout was very good with always someone not too far away to find. Emine our table waitress was excellent and very friendly. The food portions were quite large. I am Gluten Free but the menu was very good . It had a G against courses which had gluten in. This made it very easy to pick. The Oven baked prawns in tomato, mushroom, green pepper and onion sauce with a hint of garlic topped with gruyere cheese was delicious. Others had fish cakes and soup. Main course was 3 Sizzlers, beautiful but lots of it. We took home enough for another meal. Drinks prices were reasonable. A first class experience and we will return.

Dropped in for a sneak night meal with the family (4 adults and 2 kids) and were not let down. Great atmosphere. Service was attentive, helpful and personal. The menu was broad and had something for everyone. The food was stunning: fresh and obviously a lot of love in the kitchen. All plates got cleared. Wine list was varied and some favs and some challenges.

Really good menu choice, friendly staff. Quality of food is excellent. It is a large place , which gives it a good atmosphere. Have recommended to people, and they have been and also agreed its great.

Love this place!! Went for our annual girls Xmas lunch get together. Had the lunch time special. I had the hot meze starter and one of the chicken dishes. Absolutely superb!! The food is amazing. Full of flavour. Cooked well. The chicken was tender and tasty, I enjoyed every last bite. The service is amazing too, they are so friendly and on the ball!! See you again soon!
