Food is tremendous, staff are amazing could not fault it

The food was absolutely delicious, the portion size was reasonable for the price and left me wanting more. Had the Lamb Skewer and was nervous at first as Lamb can be quite chewy from some places but was cooked to absolute perfection. Halloumi fries and the accompanying sauce were delicious too, first time eating here and will 100% be back.

The service and food are really good . The portions are a good size and may even be too much for some.

The food hear is excellent, very juicy kebabe meats cooked on a grill were lovly and to die for. This traditional turkish layed out restraunt adds to the buzzing friendly atmosphere ..definitely going g again...soon....

Been coming here since it first opened and the quality is always amazing. Perfect food and lovely atmosphere. My favourite restaurant in the area.

Food was excellent. We tried the sharing platter starter, chicken biftek, and lamb skewers, and all were delicious! Although, the lamb just had the edge! The restaurant itself is very lovely inside, with a big open grill, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Ate here early on a Saturday and glad we booked as it was very busy. Food was excellent and served efficiently with a smile. Only criticism was that the draught beer was a bit meh. Would recommend.

Had an awesome time at this place yesterday! The vibes were cozy, and the food was off the charts. Started with a cold mezze platter – hummus, babagoush, vineleaves, and other on point. Then one of the best kebabs I ve eaten in North West, juicy and full of flavor. Staff was super chill and helpful. Fair prices for the whole experience. Totally recommend if you're into legit Turkish eats in a cool atmosphere!

I didn't buy food. Strictly a pub as far as I could tell. Real ale selection. Not full of hipsters so five stats from me.

It was the best dinner I have ever had in my life, the garlic mushroom from the starters was delicous and I loved the lamb chops despite the intensity, the manager burak was very funny, the grill chef recep smiles a lot, I don't want to hesitate to say that he is positive, thank you for everything turquaz family 🫶🏻❤️

Food was really nice. Although it was quite salty. Not much choice for vegetarians, but what do you expect for a barbecue restaurant

I absolutely love this place, stunning decor, the friendliest most attentive staff but that food is just WOW. The chicken is the best I’ve ever had in my entire life, and at 50 that’s no mean feat. Best Turkish restaurant in Merseyside in my opinion.

Lambs kidney for the starter was out of this world

Excellent food fresh tasty nice spices and texture, love herb fresh bread acondiment and chill sauce very fresh. Great survice and Turkish music in background is a nice touch. I definitely will return again.

Brilliant food. Value for money. Big portions, so additional sides not required. Ended up taking mine home. Mix up on booking 2nd time. Very busy place. Sometimes several staff ask u if u want a drink, but the food makes up for it. Friend is GF and struggled a bit with choices

It's quite loud, and the staff didn't acknowledge my request for some cutlery. But the food is fantastic. The stuffed vines and mixed skewers were so tasty 😋

Unbelievable food once again. Won't go wrong with the turquaz special. Lambs liver starter and the garlic prawns were incredible.

This restaurant is a Jewel in Ormskirk. The service was exceptional, the food couldn't have been better. Perfection always. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, the food here is stunning, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It has a lovely atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. Fantastic place keep up the great service and quality of food.

I haven't had a chance to come back since 2019 although I loved it, finally came again and it's as good as I remember. The only thing I dislike is that the rice portion is very little compared to the amount of meat on your plate. Otherwise fantastic, very tasty!

The food is lovely. We ordered a cold sharing platter and, whilst it certainly came out of the fridge preprepared, it was certainly very, very lovely. The mains were great but the drink menu is a little limited. Nice wine and beer isn't hard to source these days. But overall fabulous food.

Every mouthful was a fresh joy.. loved it. Real people serving, real food.

Visited as a party of seven; which included the grandparents.My parents are fussy when it comes to eating anywhere and usually stick to the same restaurant all the time, but as this was our treat, they were open to try something new.I love Turquaz, have always had a great meal each time we’ve visited and I ordered numerous takeouts during lockdown, all excellent.My stepdad is coeliac and it can sometimes be a worry for him to eat food that is unfamiliar - hence sticking to places he feels comfortable, but the staff put his mind at rest and were very attentive at discussing menu options for him & providing gluten free bread etc.The food did not disappoint, we all had a fantastic meal. The prawn starter is divine and for mains we had, Salmon, lamb shank, chicken wings, lamb kebab and lamb ribs (as well as a kids meal) - all food was devoured, even the rice and salad is superbMy parents have now found a new favourite restaurant to add to the only other place they regularly eat at - so that is indeed high praise.Already looking forward to the next meal, which I know won’t be too far away!

We definitely won't be going back to this place, after booking a table a week in advance we were put right by the bar and kitchen, too hot and noisy, we asked to be re seated and were put in the corridor by the door, excess cutlery from our table was put back in the drawer without being washed...

This was a properly unexpected treat. On my first visit to ormskirk, I found myself in need of somewhere to take my family. We’re a mixed bunch, often quite picky, and this was also the first time I’d had Turkish food. The atmosphere - quite on theme - reasonably normal restaurant affair, sitting at tables, toilet facilities are adequate- music was a bit loud The service- excellent, knowledgeable staff, very friendly - timely service of meals - not push The food - sea bass: cooked really well, well spiced- chicken: lovely, spiced very well and can taste the charcoal- salmon: a good portion size, well spiced - prawn Guvec; reasonable- fries: excellent, well fried and spiced with a flavoured salt - rice: the star of the show, perfumed and lightly spiced with cinnamon

This is the best restaurant in the city, all services are number one, you will definitely be satisfied and I highly recommend it.

First time here and was unsure what to expect. Went for the calamari and the special kebab. Food was fantastic, especially the lamb chops. Service was good if a little rushed. Plenty of space around to relax. Will visit again.

Visited last night with 7 friends meal was great most of us had chicken kebabs or chicken and Adana kebabs all cooked lovely service was very good even though they were very busy the deserts and starters were equally delicious good selection had lots of take always when Covid prevented us sitting in they were always good can’t fault this restaurant 10/10 fantastic keep up the good work little waitress was brilliant as well as all the staff

I came here for the first time last night, after hearing great reviews, and I was very disappointed. I asked for the vegetarian kebab, and was told it would take them an hour to prepare (to barbecue some vegetables). He recommended I try the vegetarian stew, and I did, requesting no cheese on top. When it came to the table, I tipped it onto my plate, and there were remnents of cheese around the bowl. It was clearly not cooked fresh, and they had simply scraped the cheese off the top. £13 for some precooked peppers and rice is a complete rip off

Everything about my meal tonight was amazing! Tasty, well presented dishes served by very friendly staff!! The ambiance was great and the place transported us back to Turkey!! Will definitely be back again!!!

Fantastic food! Enormously impressed. Never visited before but will certainly return. The only negative I would comment on (and this might not bother some) was the smokiness of the restaurant due to the open-kitchen aspect. But the food was absolutely fantastic. 6 of us dined together and everyone of us were mightily impressed. Top marks and well done!

The food quality was awful. Undercooked and very poor quality. It's also expensive. They even charged £1 for each condiment (mayo, ketchup, etc.) Won't be back and can't recommend. PS: You got an extra STAR because the young waitress tried her best.

This restaurant is our families favourite in Ormskirk. For both takeaway or dining in, it is consistently excellent. Lots of lovely veggie and vegan options and I cannot express how delicious the vegetable kebab is, seasoned to perfection. I would love to see some falafels on the menu but overall I cannot fault it. These people know what they're doing!

Along with the family I purchased a take away for my daughters birthday. Everyone loved the food, there was plenty of it and we will definitely be going back here.

The gentleman over the phone was very helpful when ordering and the food was delicious, so tasty! Really enjoyed it.

This is my favorite place to eat in/out in Ormskirk. Due to being in Tier 3 we could not sit in. We ordered our food for a certain time, and picked it up. The food was still good, but some of the chicken was burnt on the edges, which was not a nice surprise.

I have been the this restaurant a few times now we travel from Sthelens, the food is always well cooked and delicious. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal from this place the staff are also very friendly and helpful. Hope to see you again once you reopen.Thanks John

We attended on a Sunday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to go somewhere we’d never been before even though we’ve lived in this area for many years. Turquaz was my husband’s selection, but not being a big meat eater, it wasn’t a dinner I was looking forward to - boy was I taken by surprise! Previous TripAdvisor reviews said this place wasn’t very COVID secure - we found it to be exactly the opposite. Not all tables were in use and those that were, had Perspex screen separating them from the adjacent tables, such a great start. The staff were all wearing masks, another plus for them. We were asked for our drinks orders and the drinks arrived whilst we were still selecting our food from the menus. I opted for the calamari and my husband the liver for our starters and both were beautifully fresh and excellent and we were eagerly waiting for our main course. I had opted for something that I can only describe as a tasty lamb casserole topped with cheese and my husband had the mixed kebab. Again, both items were fantastic, my husband thought it was one of the best dishes he’d ever eaten. Turquaz certainly beat our expectations and we would not hesitate to return again in the very near future.

This was our first visit to Turquaz since March. The food as always was wonderful. Very tasty and plentiful. We will not be visiting again till they take seriously COVID precautions. Tables had not been moved, and people are very close Together. Staff do not wear any kind of PPE at all and stand quite close to you. This is not our best experience with other restaurants and bars.

Been before and had hyped it up in my head how good the meat was, and it did not disappoint on my return.Chargrilled meat cooked to perfection. There's an art to making mrat taste like the charging without burning it at all. Our TurQuaz special came very quickly and was cooked fantastically. Juicey, tender and flavoursome.We were shown to our table promptly and offered drinks straight away. Given bread with our meal and a nice peice of Turkish delight to end with too.I cannot fault this place for meat lovers.Inhave a vegetarian freind who also enjoyed the place but inuave no intention on trying anything but the meat here. Very well priced too.Truly awesome.

Visited the restaurant on bank Holiday Monday with my family after pre booking as we know that the restaurant is always full even prior to the government scheme. As always staff very polite and attentive. Shown our t table and I selected the Kalamar which was 3 huge pieces of calamari cooked to perfection and then the special which was huge and beautifully cooked. My partner ordered the Iskender which again she said was lovely and enough for two. Daughter loved hers and said the chocolate sponge was to die for. Service was brilliant as always even though it was very busy. Would highly recommend a visit but prebook to avoid disappointment
