Popped in yesterday for the first time. There was so much choice it took me and my daughter ages to decide 😋 The lady serving was very helpful and friendly. (Sorry don’t Know your name) Ending up getting a steak and kidney family pie , mashed swede and a pot of gravy! The pie was the most delicious pie I have ever tasted, full of meat, the pastry was out of this world. My children were very impressed with it too. We all had seconds and there’s some left. We’ve decided next time to go in and sit and have the pie and mash meal deal. Also looking forward to trying an apple pie. Thanks Turners 😊

Always good food. I normally have Pie & Mash which consists of various pies including veg, mash potatoes and mushy peas with gravy, ask for extra gravy as they can be a bit stingy. I do feel if you choose the vegetarian option it should be cheaper because it contains no meat.

Really good pies, love the takeaway meal box. Service is good, friendly and knowledgeable. I've only ever been in at lunchtime, but they always seem to be running out of or run out of pies. Could do with cooking more stock for the shift.

Drove past yesterday and saw the poster for Turkey and gammon pie and thought that looks good so had to stop and buy one and wasn't disappointed. Was greeted with great service and a delicious pie that the whole family loved and the gravy was delicious too. You have a new customer in me and I will definitely be popping by more often now. Highly recommended 👌

Just had a cheese and onion pasty and although it was tasty enough, the price was eyewatering... £3.20 each! They do not display the prices and I think I understand why now. To be honest, I couldn't tell much difference between this and and Greggs pasty. Ridiculously over-priced in my opinion which is a shame as I always try and support local businesses.

This is pure magic. I've tried a couple of pies as a lunch box, which is brilliant as it comes with mash, gravy and peas without the need to do any washing up. But the Steak and Stilton I tried today is simply off the scale! And if you do buy the pies, make sure you get the gravy to go with them, they sell the gravy concentrate in small tubs. Seriously, how do you guys at Turner's do this!? Magnificent. Applause. Bravo. 10/10 from this jury. Actually, it's more like 11/10...

Ordered what I thought was a locally famous lunch of pie, gravy, peas and mash, but as I fancied the vegetarian option, they actually only had a cheese pasty left, substituting for their usual mushroom pie. Quite a few misgivings, (apart from being charged the same £5.50 for the meal - the pasty is £1 less than the pies) it arrived as a sad soggy mess. Actually pretty tasteless too and watery, left some as it really wasn’t worth eating. The packaging it came in and the impressive shop interior were by far the best thing about the visit. Staff were a bit dismissive, but I’m sure from other reviews that they are received well enough by the general public. The egg custard I ordered was far better, although not that memorable. Not for me, won’t be going back.

Nice reception on entering the shop, good service. The pie was well presented. However the filling was just sweet (Cranberry) no chunks of Turkey or Gammon, just a sweet soggy center with know real flavour. I was expecting the best pie in the world for a Wapping £3.80p!!

ordered a mushroom and asparagus pie for a quick bite and the person at the counter handed me a cold one. when I asked whether it could be heated up, the person said that it was not possible and proceeded to hand me the hot version of the same pie sitting in the other warmer instead. A really strange interaction. No shop has ever try to sell me a cold pie before. Tasty pie though!

The lady in the shop was very rude when I asked if the pie she was holding was indeed a beef and cheese pie. She said "I know what it is, do you want it or not?" She was very grim and looked angry. When we ate it later it was extremely salty and the ratio of meat to pastry was very small. £9 is a fair amount of money for a pie and I will never go back there. Bad service and a poor product. I would have overlooked reviewing but her attitude was wrong and she should not be serving people.

Small shop but perfectly formed pies! A close relative (no names mentioned) once tried to stop me from going into this store, on the grounds that Sainsbury's prices are cheaper! Since Turner's pies/pastry products are freshly made, and their ingredients are locally sourced, why not buy something from there?

So, popped in for a couple of pies! It's a new shop and recently opened. Friendly warm welcome? A smile at the till? The manager personally greeting new customers into this pie shop? Nope! Bearing in mind this is a new shop I would have expected some warmth and encouragement and perhaps gratitude? A smile maybe? Small shops wonder why we pop off to a major retailer? Pies are pricey, especially Gluten Free pies, that are frozen, so perhaps these aren't baked daily as the quote states on a board outside? Baked daily doesn't mean made daily or does it? The pastry was wonderful and crisp however no instructions provided on cooking or storage, especially when you buy a Gluten Free one... cook from frozen? Thaw first? Best oven temperature? Ready to eat? Absolutely no information provided whatsoever which was disappointing so used my own knowledge. Seemed the shop had opened too soon and yes, you guessed it, diversification in progress as some cakes were on sale too. I had three small pieces of steak in my pie and five large pieces of kidney... remind me... which meat is the cheapest? The Steak and Ale Pie was more filling and had large pieces of steak in it. Solid filling affair rather than a runny gravy filling. Could taste the ale. Would I return? Probably not. I would have expected a leaflet of ingredients for 'award- winning pies'... or an explanation of who awarded what, when and how. Thank you for the ten per cent off with a leaflet. Well done for great pastry. Could do better on service, cost, explanation and clarity on awards and where the pies are made. Let the reviews begin... and no, this isn't an unfair review, it is a review based on my experience. *update* Due to desperate needs, I popped into the PIE shop inbetween Christmas and New Year, or as I will now call it, a supermarket selling pickled onions and cake? Still no cooking instructions and a pasty with a name to it that means nothing to the public but contains an English Breakfast!!! Yep, disgusting thought. Bought a Gluten Free pie at £4.20 from a rude female and the pie was soggy and lacking in chicken. Will be buying a Pitminster Pie for £3.60 in future. Doubt this shop will last past its lease renewal. Just focus on making a good pie. Try The Pantry in South Farm Road as the owner makes (not just bakes) his own pies with free range chicken at a fraction of the cost. After two attempts... I won't be returning. Still no improvement.

Just spent the best £20 of my life on 2 gorgeous apple and black pudding scotch eggs still warm mmmmm Stilton and steak pie and a steak and kidney pie, yum yum packed with filling on a perfect pastry. Then 24 mince pies the best in the country by far. You eat one then can’t stop yourself eating another. The staff were lovely never rushed you to choose helpful when asked questions. The whole place was so clean with a good condiments selfselect area. Choice of foods was very good considering it calls itself a pie shop. There were rolls pre made and made to order quiches cakes drinks and many other little items. The prices were amazing pie mash mushy peas and gravy £5 better then McDonald's price and more nutrious. Well worth a look l am sure you will leave with something it all looks so good.

This is a clean and well presented Bakery with a seating area. The Lunch deal is brilliant. £5 for a pie and mash with mushy peas and gravy. Very satisfying. The beef and ale pie is delicious. Selection of sausage rolls, and various pastries. A bit pricier than the usual high street bakers but so much better and worth the money. Broadwater is a nice place.
