I really enjoyed some chips a bit hard but otherwise lovely take away would recommend

Had food from here a few times. Parking is limited and difficult to get back out onto the main road...you need to be cautious and have your hazards on. When the food is fresh it's lovely, particularly the cod! I have had a couple of times where I've ended up with leftover cod from lunch at dinnertime and it's been stale tasting- thick chewy batter and hard cod so would just advise checking it's fresh and not from lunch. Mushy peas are watery compared to some other places I've been too. Staff are friendly. Please note this is not a sit in.

The Cod was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect. Chips and beef and onion pie was spot on as well 👌

Probably the best cod & chips iv had in a while. Ordered on deliverroo randomly just because I fancied it. And the portion size was very generous both the fish and chips together. The name is in the game here. Definitely a tummy filler. Highly recommended

It's a chip shop , has no seats so you just get your food and go .

The fish and chips were very good. The Saveloy was really bad. Not sure why, but it just didn't taste very good. Also the sausages in the kids meal wasn't very nice. The normal large sausage was better and the kids preferred that.

We are lucky to have this chippy on our doorstep. Super-fresh cod, with light batter and crispy chips. The manager, who is keeping the place going on his own, is always cheerful, polite and friendly, and goes the extra mile to be helpful. No problem with hygiene. Do give it your business, and ignore the rubbish review.

Terrible customer service, rude abrupt Asian manager who was wiping his nose then using same hand to bag food, under cooked chips definitely a no no, zero health hygiene practice and definitely need educating.

Very tasty. The best Fish & Chips since moving to the UK! The one used should be the best deep-sea cod (silver snow fish) from the Atlantic Ocean! The price is quite expensive but well worth the money. The regret is that the food area in the store is small, and they only accept cash. But it’s not important! If you don't mind giving it a try, you should know that what you say is true! Very tasty. The best Fish&Chips after moving to the UK! The Governor there is great and good at his job. So always a queue but that's a good sign... They take only cash and the parking is borrowed from Opposite Tesco Express.

Great food, good authentic fish and chips - just a little too greasy. Unfortunately the staff are so cold and unfriendly Will go back for the good authentic fish and chips with curry sauce

We pick up a large cod and regular chips about twice a week, and the quality is consistently excellent: fresh fish, light batter, usually cooked to order. The quantities provide a full lunch for the two of us. The staff are always friendly. Highly recommended.

The batter on the fish was light and beautifully cooked. The cod was a generous size and the fish was white, skinned and delicious. I haven’t had such good fish and chips in a very long time.

Well let's just say I understand that costs have risen but there is no excuse for reusing old chips. Paid a total of £12.20 for the worst fish and chips ever Avoid Avoid Avoid. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else!

I only get fish & scampi here. Portions are big, service is very good and has a good range of foods for those who don't like fish!

Ordered from Deliveroo and everything came hot and well packaged. My only complaint would be that I asked for salt & vinegar but there didn't seem to be any on the chips, otherwise everything was great.

Terrible experience, the old miserable man refused to wear a face mask whilst wrapping my food. Also Said don't take card so had to go cash machine, then asked for some source and wanted more money. Unbelievable should be shut down !

Stopped off for a quick lunch when visiting the town. Really good with chunky bright white cod in proper crispy tasty batter. Chips good too, done nicely without too much grease and not soggy despite being wrapped for 5 mins back to my car. Yummy all round and highly recommended.

Great place for proper fish and chips

As our local chippie, we have had takeaways lots of times from here. The batter is good, like no other around and the fish is good. Chips are tasty, but big portions, we usually share chips. Well worth a try.

Lived in England for 8 years. This is the best fish and chips I found. Our office was only 1/2 mile away so fish Friday every payday! Wish we could get the same in the USA.

Excellent food and reasonable price

Chip was very soft and not nice, fish tons of oil. Not particularly good fish and chips.

Taste was very good however i had to wait over 20mins just to get a takeaway. After eventually getting my food realised they have not put any tissues or fork to be able to eat my food, ended up eating fish and chips with my hand. Customer service needs improving otherwise its a 5/5 fish and chips

Went in for small chips.. curry sauce and roll.. got a burger roll chucked in my chips and wrapped.. which was soggy when opened chips round the corner...did not ask if I wanted Marge... some chips was cooked and some not... I'm sorry to say this shop was empty.. got rushed along only in there 30 secs... it's a money making shop.. would dread to see the kitchen... you just know it's not good.. well pigeons enjoyed my lunch.. did ask for seviette.. don't do them.. gave me blue drying up paper from a roll which is for there use..... in chippy?

My husband and I go here most Fridays for a fish and chip supper. Apart from the prices I have no bad words about them. Fresh fish cooked to perfection in crispy golden batter and generous portions of chips. Even writing this review is making my mouth water!!

Love this chippy. Even after a day old i put em in microwave n they still tasted nice. I like their chips nice golden n crispy. They av choice of spicy and mild curry sauce. Sausage n batter and savaloy is great. Its a british chippy which means lovely pork and not beef

Great tasting fish and very decent chips with good chunky chips no little hard ones. Good quick service.

Beautiful large piece of freshly cooked cod, in light crispy batter. No skin was a big plus for me. The chips were straight out of the fryer and piping hot. Visit weekly now as it’s the best we’ve found. Nice range of other items plus a breakfast menu.

We just ate here for the first time in a while and to say we are disappointed is an understatement!!! This place has gone so downhill as it used to be brilliant.. the cod was bone Cold, chips undercooked and soggy, battered sausage was only luke warm, mushy peas were VILE! The only good things were the curry sauce and the can of coke. Deffo lost our custom.
