Really nice food! Our favourite was the taco with raw fish.

Bloody love this place. Such a fantastic experience food is so so good.

I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case, I feel like I needed to share this gem of a place with the online community. First of all, hands down the best vegan sushi I’ve had in the UK, and as someone who loves Japanese food, that’s a big statement to make. The ingredients are extremely high quality, everything is beautifully presented and the latin influence elevates each dish giving it a delicious freshness. The magic touch I didn’t know it needed. You know how some food just makes you happy and you want to do a little dance every time you take a bite? Well, that is the case when I have Tropical Sushi. Now, let’s talk about the customer service. It was my second time going there for takeout, and not only did they recognise and greet me with such a warm welcome, but they even offered me a complimentary drink, saying I had to try it if i liked ginger (which I certainly do!). There was no need for them to offer me that, but extremely sweet they did. Finally, I’d like to mention their very quick service and incredible attention to detail. If you are looking for delicious Japanese food with a twist (whether you are vegan or not), this place is a must try. P.S. The biggest shout out to Osvaldo. Already can’t wait to come back! Gracias!

Nous avons goûté les taco sushis, c’était excellent. Il y a des alternatives autant pour les personnes végétariennes que pour les personnes véganes. Nous avons terminé les repas par des mochis, chocolat et mangue, les deux saveurs étaient exceptionnelles. En plus, le service est au top !

It is a very good mixture of two different cuisines. They are very polite and friendly. We are enjoying once a week. If you like Mexican and Japanese food, then you should try it.

Amazing spot for the best sushi in town! I usually go for the tempura salmon poke bowl but this time I ordered the taco chido and I was not disappointed. Perfectly crunchy nori and tempura salmon with a soft touch of avocado and plantain. Delicious and full of flavour and different textures. Can recommend 100% and I will be back soon!

The food is delicious , but Tequenos the best

Love the food. Love the staff. Did I mention loving the food?? It's fresh, inventive and absolutely DELICIOUS. I've been several times and like to introduce friends to the experience. Hard to narrow it down to specifics, other than perhaps their special soy? But I've not had a duff meal here. Seriously, YUM.

A wonderful dinner with my family catering to some very specific dietary requirements, all without complaints or raised eyebrows! We had a variety of poke bowls (some vegetarian, some with fish, some without alliums, etc.), each very different to each other, and everything that arrived was extremely fresh and delicious, exactly as ordered, and ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend Tropical Sushi - we have never had a bad meal or drink here, and this was one of our best visits recently.

Incredible little place to eat. Cheap and delicious is exactly what you want to hear about a restaurant. Not only is the food good but the people are some of the nicest people around. Would recommend this 100 times over!

Fantastically fresh with very friendly service

The sushi rolls were sooo bad on so many levels. I’m sure the taco or the poke bowls would have been better but this is notttt a sushi restaurant at all and it’s weird to see all these positive reviews. It seems like nothing is fresh and everything is like premade. The girl at the front was super nice and made me a new roll after the first one was only rice, deep fried, with nothing inside. I could barely even see the shrimp, no exaggeration. The second one was also pretty awful. Totally bizarre and super expensive!! That was the first time I’ve ever sent something back or reviewed anything- I hate being an inconvenience. I’m used to pretty good sushi at home so maybe it’s just me, but surely there are some better places in Brighton if you’re looking for authenticity

The sushi was just delicious. I would definitely recommend the food and I would back for it. The reason for low score is for poor service system in place. We were basically told that order won't be taken from table but we needed to go to counter and "pay as you eat" or use a QR that we never found. That put me off straight away. Although they easily changed their own inconvenient system. The waitresses who in the end looked after us were lovely. Just implement this as a rule, waiters taking orders. Simples. When in a restaurant you want your order to be taken, brought to your table and pay all at the end. Unless eating at chain places like McDonald's & burger King. I wonder other guests may have left without paying? or why this strange way. The food had so much potential, but place really lacks of charm. Table was sticky, I don't think it was dirty just needs a table cloth. Sort waiters system and re-deco, it is worthy.

My Partner and I came here based on trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The Salmon Sashimi Seaweed Tacos are simply incredible, loads of beautiful fish, sticky rice, veg, spicy sauce in a crisp taco, absolutely flavour bomb. The service was outstanding too. We highly recommend this place, much better than the big high street brand of Sushi.

We came here and enjoyed it so much we Returned 2 nights later. Sushi Taco was delicious and would highly recommend. The puke bowl you choose what you want in it. Big bowl and very filling. All fresh and healthy ingredients. Staff very friendly and happy to chat.

I would have expected the food to come out earlier than after one hour. We were the only people in the restaurant! The food itself was definitely not five stars. I would not go back there, although the waitress was lovely it took 15 mins to get a glass of water.

Decor was simple. Welcoming friendly service and they explained when ready, that you go to to the counter and order & pay for your food & drinks. It’s more like a cafe than a restaurant. They managed to persuade us to order the crunchy sushi tacos and I’m so glad we did. They cut it in half for us to share, we went for the sashimi salmon taco. I’m not kidding when I say it was gorgeous. I could quite happily eat quite a few of those. We went for the sharing amazonas platter which was delicious. I’d definitely go back for sure.

The best of the best! So yummy, the sushi is really well done! I have been away from Brighton and visiting tropical sushi is a must, they also do Tequeños which is a Venezuelan snack. I just love it so much, can’t wait to go back

Ordered a takeout and was disappointed by the size of the portions! Considering that the sushi rolls came to £1 a piece is pretty disappointing that they are basically the same diameter as a pound coin! To add to the disappointment the rolls were extremely inconsistent in size, as seen by the photo. Definitely had better sushi in Brighton.

Dropped in here on an early Friday evening with my wife, really lovely atmosphere inside (nothing like Kokoro/Wasabi). Great service, with excellent recommendations. I love that the tables have a little buzzer for calling over waitress, makes it soo much easier than sitting getting grumpy waiting :D The food was excellent, and I'm glad they have their own ideas for sushi, like the taco (you've got to try one!).
