Love this place! Food never disappoints, the service is amazing, in large part, due to the owner who has the most amazing memory and the best personality. I've never felt anything but welcome here.

Delicious food in lovely surroundings with friendly and attentive service. And the best Negroni in town.

Only went for drinks which were lovely, the staff where very friendly and informative. The jazz music was lovely and the other clientele appreciated them which made for a great atmosphere. Huge selection of gins and the menus coming in CD cases was a nice touch.

We went Saturday night for drinks and food. The atmosphere was amazing, good voice and music, the cocktails were ten out of ten and the food was delicious; both were affordable. The staff was very polite and we spent an amazing night, we will definitely come back soon. If you are searching for good jazz music, food and cocktails you should try this place.

Was very quiet for Sunday Jazz Brunch but the Sheffield 10k was on, so it's not surprising. Great cosy venue. Knowledgeable, impeccable service and the food was outstanding and incredibly good value for money. Everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this gem of a place. Oh yes- and the jazz was fabulous too !

Superb quality food with great wine choices & Live Jazz. Sunday perfection?

Came here with friends for the first time tonight. The jazz band were fantastic, the staff were great and the food was amazing. I wish we lived closer to visit again. Every dish the 4 of us had was cooked to perfection, from the juicy hake on the risotto, the lamb, the vegetable dishes and the melt in your mouth homemade biscuits with the cheese course (I had to share with everyone as were so delicious). The bill at the end of a lovely evening was incredible value for such a lovely ambience, meal and staff. I'm sure my friends will visit again as they live nearer and if we visit sheffield again we will book in a heartbeat. Thank you for a lovely evening.

If you like waiting 30-40 minutes to get your order taken after every single drink, this is the place for you.

A completely wonderful afternoon of jazz and great food for such a reasonable price. Nothing sold here is a rip off - Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc for £30 a bottle, champagne at £11 a glass and small plates of superb food at no more £11 is great value. We don’t go often enough but we’ve resolved to go once a month from now, it’s such fantastic entertainment!

Have been several times for food and drink and never had a bad experience. Service is always great as is the music. Food and drinks are reasonably priced also.

Lovely food and a wise selection of gins is why I keep coming back to Trippet Lounge. In particular thanks to Maria and team for friendly and helpful service! Add to that live music, and this makes an ideal night out for me.

Revisiting our son and daughter in law’s wedding reception 2 years ago. It was superb then and it was superb today. We had a Jazz with brunch occasion. Sitting outside, it could have been Paris but there were no riots, just Arctic Monkey fans coming to the pub where they first gigged, the Grapes, and having their photos taken. We had delicious food, champagne was part of the deal and the jazz trio were sweet. What more could you ask for?

We needed somewhere at short notice for a family get together for 10 people. I remembered Trippets as a lovely relaxed place with good food and drink so gave them a ring. They don’t normally open on a Saturday lunch time but they specifically opened the restaurant for us and the table looked beautiful when we walked in. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Their selection of drinks is excellent. Around 80 gins. The food was fantastic, tasty and well presented and we all enjoyed everything that we ate. We had such a lovely time. It’s worth noting that they have some really special events such as wine tasting with hot and cold cheese pairing. Sherry tasting with tapas etc… we will definitely going back! Thank you Trippets you made our family get together very special!

If you like good food, great wine, and jazz, then Trippets is a must. Definitely one of Sheffield's finest establishments.

First time visitors here and it won’t be the last. We came for valentines evening and couldn’t fault anything. Cosy, candlelit restaurant with a film cast onto the wall set the mood for the evening. First rate jazz band and singer at just the right volume Good cocktail and wine lists. Food was excellent and great value. 3 small plates and coffee and truffles for £35 is excellent value - and the plates aren’t that small. Waiting staff were courteous and attentive. Overall a lovely evening

One of the best bars in town (especially if you are looking for a more grown up place). Great gin selection (but not only), great atmosphere/decor, great service, great food. Can't fault it! Every time I ve been I ve had a good time!

Visited last night and had an amazing evening. The jazz band were phenomenal, the food was great, service excellent, and the atmosphere wonderful. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will be making regular visits to Trippets from now on. It's exquisitely refined and a great place to unwind and enjoy good company, food, wine and live music.

We had a fantastic time at Trippets, the food and drinks were amazing as always. We have visited Trippets on many occasions and always have a wonderful time. They have live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, they also have a Sunday brunch which is great. Such good quality drinks, served by Debbie and the team. New years eve. Absolutely great atmosphere. Fabulous food. First time out in Sheffield for New Year's Eve. We will certainly be coming back. We regularly frequent The Cross in kenilworth. Just as good as the Michelin started restaurant. Brilliant chef in Sheffield .

It’s a lovely jazz bar. Good atmosphere, very quiet. I mean it’s not a noisy bar. The day I went to had a live jazz performance, which is quite nice. It’s a good place to chill with your friends and enjoy jazz. Drinks are nice. Quite strong for me, but I liked it! Nibbles are a bit expensive though. Not suitable for sharing. Good experience!

We absolutely love Trippets, and have been going since they opened seven years ago, we always have a brilliant time. The bar is extremely well stocked with so many gins, fabulous wines, quality beers and lagers, Debbie and the team keep the drinks coming. Carl the chef produces fantastic food, the quality is excellent and the menu changes regularly. They have live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, also Sunday brunch. It's always a pleasure and everyone receives a warm welcome.

Went to Trippets with a friend for early evening drinks and nibbles, which turned out to be a veritable smorgasbord. The service, ambiance, and friendliness were exceptional. I'm a vegan and my friend is a meat eater. We shared some bread with oil and vinegar and some almonds while sipping our first glass of gin, and then we got greedy. I had some lovely stuffed vine leaves and delicious crisp fries. My tofu dish was well-presented and well-cooked but could have done with more flavour as tofu can be bland. My friend had some meatballs, which she said were delicious. I needed another gin to cope with the disappointment. A three-piece band set up right next to us and played some lovely gentle jazz which was to my ears, what a rich, creamy dessert is to the mouth. Sublime. I could have stayed there all night. I loved it and have already planned my next visit. If you want the place to yourself, all soft lighting and attentive service, go early evening at 5pm and let the tastes of the world come to you.

Great live music and bar. A real rare find

Recently visited for a surprise 40th meal, the staff and venue are lovely. As a coeliac it’s always difficult trying new places but this place had plenty of gluten free options, either clearly marked on the menu or dishes that could be adapted. The staff were very attentive and had even helped decorate the table and provide balloons for the birthday boy. The food itself was tasty and high quality. Although it’s not a large menu, it has plenty to choose from. We had an early dinner so didn’t get to see a lot of the musicians but what we did see as great. Highly recommend.

Nice team but the menu was disappointing, some odd combinations, which tasted ok. Wine choice was poor. Partly our fault as we were looking for a nice restaurant for a family meal, this place was recommended as we were from out of town, but it was not what we were expecting. Would not go again.

Good atmosphere with live music

We went to the Trippets last night with my wife and a group of friends for her birthday’s drinks. It had a great atmosphere with live jazz, great selection of drinks and a professional and friendly customer service. The manager and our Greek waitress ensured our night out was enjoyable and relaxed, and brought my wife’s birthday cake and candles at the right moment. This was my second time there, and will definitively come back soon.

Thank you ‘Trippets’ for hosting my Son’s 30th Do - Family ‘Get Together’ - recently ! Every visitor was so impressed with the range of the menu, the service & the attentive care of the staff - Two courses, a glass of bubbly & coffee for £30 - Vegans to Carnivores - from 14 weeks to 85 year olds ! ^_^ - ‘Trippets’ accommodated the needs of all our guests To sit for a few hours enjoying such lovely food, in such a unique place & in such a ‘special’ atmosphere - It was thoroughly enjoyable. Special shout out to Trish & the guys for the ‘perfect’ jazz & instrumental performances !

Had a meal here for a birthday celebration and experience was very good. Especially loved the desserts, the food plates are small but not overly small so still a decent portion. Staff were very friendly and the live jazz band was a lovely addition to the atmosphere. Car parking on street is expensive but there is a much cheaper car park literally one street behind it. If I had to make a suggestion we had steak but would have been good to be asked how we wanted it as I prefer mine quite well done but it was still enjoyable.

Trippets has a special place in the hearts of my friends and me. My latest visit was for a birthday party after a long absence from Sheffield, and we had a fine time. The menu changes constantly, but I can recommend the Liverpool Valencia Orange gin & beetroot cured salmon w/ sweet pickled fennel and orange segments; Roast rib-eye from Critchlow's Farm Shop, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and red wine gravy w/ mixed veg; plus Fresh fruit salad w/ Pedro Ximenez syrup & vegan meringue, all with carefully matched wines. A warm welcome from the friendly staff complimented our enjoyment perfectly. I won't stay away so long next time.

It was an excellent meal that filled my tummy. I am very picky with my eating so that's a big thumbs up!! The crayfish cocktail, the tomato sausage and the creamy mushrooms we especially great.

Good fare, interesting menu, excellent staff. Sensible covid precautions. Having the cocktails on-line instead of on-paper was fiddly. The internet sample menu had better gluten free options than were actually there on the night, slightly disappointing, worth checking.

We tried getting a table for an early dinner on a Friday night and were warmly greeted and were led to a lovely table in the window. After enjoying a lovely locally distilled gin, we shared several starter sized plates with a gorgeous bottle of white Rioja. Each plate was excellent and the unusual format was perfect as it meant we ate everything super fresh and didn't over or under order as we ordered 2 plates at a time. Highlight was slow cooked lamb! Specialises in 'gin and jazz'; we can vouch for the former, but left before the band started! Lovely restaurant tucked away off West Street, but well worth trying and good for groups of friends or romantic couples.
