Triple Two Coffee in Cotswold

Seems to have taken a nosedive in terms of service and quality. This used to be a great place to come and relax but not anymore.I understand it's been bought out ( franchise).My latest and last experience...The coffee was awful. Lots of young male staff just hanging around behind the service area, stale cakes. Won't be going back again.

Such a shame that what used to be an amazing coffee shop has gone downhill so quickly. I can forgive teething issues with new management but cannot forgive coffee which tastes like hot water, cakes not being fresh (assume they are being kept longer hence the trays being wrapped in clingfilm on display) toilet filthy, staff uninterested/untrained, 5 staff behind counter but all very chaotic with very long waits for 'drinks'. Unfortunately after being a regular here, we won't be coming back.

Only rating one star as cannot give zero...this place has certainly gone down hill recently. Toilet very unclean, coffee not as nice, tasted just like hot water! Service abysmal.... 5 members of staff behind the counter but service very slow and inefficient. Will not be visiting again!

If you have not been here get in quixk. The banoffee hot choclate is awesome . Its autumn in a cup. ☕

Firstly, the place could do with a damn good clean. Staff member who served us was not very friendly in fact quite miserable. Coffee was just about drinkable. Toilets were filthy and as it was quite early in the day no excuse. Saturday morning and only a handful of customers which says it all. We won't be coming back.

I’ve been eating/drinking in this cafe for over a year! It used to be buzzing, great atmosphere and service. Just lately it’s gone really down hill. Service disorganised and slow, tables all needed clearing last time I was in and place looked dirty with a Tesco shopping cart in the cafe. We waited over 15 mins for drinks (only 4 other people in cafe), our cakes never arrived - we had to ask for them. Another customers food went out looking shocking!! It’s always been a really buzzing and friendly place but is really lacking in every area now! Such a shame!!! The poor guy serving was trying to train other staff and was really doing his best but obviously needed more experienced help.

I visited three cafes on a short break to Cirencester: one was good, two not so good. I'm afraid this was one of the not-so-goods. I agree with the previous reviewer who described it as a 'weird place'. Initially it looked promising. I liked the interior and there were plenty of seats, often at a premium in other cafes. At the other not-so-good cafe I described the staff as uninterested, which I think was fair. Here the staff looked - I'm not sure what word to use - perhaps 'haunted'? The drink-making looked chaotic and took a while. That wasn't a big deal for me as I wasn't in a hurry, but it might have been if I had somewhere to go. When the chap in front of me's drink was ready it was handed to him, but with no way for him to take it. In the end it was balanced on the edge of the counter, which was full of debris, so that he could take the handle. Similarly when mine was ready it was passed across - no saucer, spoon etc. As my drink was in a cup I helped myself to a saucer. But the really odd thing is that when I got up to leave the girl who had made my drink was walking towards me, so I said 'goodbye'. Nothing. Completely ignored. Perhaps she was miles away, perhaps she couldn't hear me (unlikely). Either way, I certainly won't be returning. I always like to end on a positive so I will say that the coffee was okay. Too milky for my taste, but it's each to their own.

coffee is good but one of the workers was sat down behind me, looked at me then started saying homophobic stuff really loudly? weird experience 0/10

Cirencester's 222 Coffee, is under new management, and I am sad to say that their service standards have slipped. Regulars have seen a number of its staff leave recently, so lets hope this isn't the first signs of rot setting in. Coffee order was totally forgotten

My favourite coffee shop in Cirencester. Lovely staff, great coffee, and usually loads of dogs. (And clean toilet facilities too!)

Lovely coffee and nice ambience on a cool day. Menu was good. Perhaps a bit pricey for the size of meals but staff were lovely. Food quality was sound.

Very good service, great porridge, excellent coffee. Slight delay in providing our porridge but whilst we weren’t really aware of a delay, they offered us a free pastry or another drink. Advised us of their Wi-Fi password when giving us our bill. Highly recommended.

They have amazing coffee tastes so delicious even the decaff coffee is amazing! We had an americano Decaff Cappucino They have a wide variety of stock on the refrigerated shelves for drinks and beverages. They even sell wine and beer. They also have iced and cold brewed drinks And greaf food menus. Amazing service.

Great decor, reasonably clean. The issue is they serve drink-in coffee in a take away cup (with the plastic lid). Is this really the way to go, all things considered?

Too long to serve a pre made toasted sandwich. Pot of tea cold by the time the food arrived. Staff friendly and apologised for delay. Organised chaos

This growing chain delivered good service and good food. Bit loud at times but the food and drink were good. Plentiful selection of cakes and the breakfast choices went down well. I'd call again. Courteous service.

I was recommended 222 by a friend and visited for a coffee and cake. It took ages for the assistant to leave his mobile alone and take my order, then he seemed confused that I was paying by cash. I got my coffee, but no cake, so after 15 minutes I went back to the counter to enquire, the assistant appeared to e in a fugue state and the waitress stepped in, apologised and bought over my cake, with an 'apology' napkin. It is obviously a regular occurrence! Later a group of people arrived who were drunk, smoking and rowdy. They sat at the back, didn't order anything, as they had their own birthday cake and proceeded to generate loads of noise.

Best coffee in town! Service is superb and I can’t fault it. The food and snacks are great too. Highly recommended.

We popped in for some refreshments and was delighted that we did. The atmosphere was excellent, as was the customer service. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious, as was the great coffee. We would definitely recommend. Excellent!

I always enjoy going to this Triple Two coffee shop. I think I have been to all their shops around the country but this one has one of the best atmospheres and service. I particularly like it’s location and the fact that it is dog friendly. And of course the great coffee and fresh food. Awesome!

Went in for some breakfast and was not disappointed . Lovely atmosphere and the member of staff who served me called Charlie was spot on when it came to suggesting a latte to go with my avo on toast. My food was fresh and tasted...

Spacious and a industrial chic decor. Latte and toasties were fine. Staff could be a little loud at times. Not as busy as expected.

Stumbled across this place having rejected all previous tea rooms on our hunt. We were not disappointed….very well laid out, spotlessly clean, comfortable and lovely atmosphere. Recommend the hot chocolate. But it’s the staff who make this place that extra special. The girl who served...

This cafe is tucked away at the bottom of the street and you really need to find it. Dirty chai latte excellent and the 2 girls that are serving today were super friendly and efficient. Food and cakes lovely.

DOG FRIENDLY, they love dogs and often they’ll offer a little dog biscuit (for your dog!!!). Plenty of inside seating, enough staff so that you’re not left waiting, lovely drinks and staff. Enough said I think

It's worth going to this lovely cafe. It's not in the main street but worth the slight detour. Nice ambience, good coffee and lovely cakes. Staff very helpful. We will go there again.

Honestly the loveliest coffee shop in Cirencester. The staff here are always very friendly & happy to help. The coffee is really good!!! The cake selection is always out of this world. Would highly recommend for a cozy meeting place. Will be back.

I discovered this cafe recently and I love it! The staff are so lovely, young, sociable and full of fun. The coffee is lovely, the tea served in smart teapots and the croque- monsieur tasty (if a little expensive). The music not too loud and the ambiance comfortable. Suits all ages. Well done!! It has all the ingredients. We needed a decent cafe at this end of town!!

Really disappointed last time we went. Girl behind the counter was coughing and spluttering over food, quite clearly hungover and laughing to herself. Took an age to get served with multiple errors. Quite clearly didn’t want to be there Won’t be going back

We ordered a coffee and a honeycomb hot chocolate it was delicious. We was served by a lovely young girl called Brooke, she was so polite.

Great place, knowledgeable and friendly staff and great little touches like colouring items for children. Awesome food and drink choices and a lovely Manager. Looking forward to going back in, especially for the peanut butter and chocolate slice (amazing!) Thank you for going the extra mile!

Brooke and Robbyn are just fantastic here. They really make the whole experience worth coming back for!!! They really look after their customers and deliver that exceptional customer service that we all dream about. I'm a regular now because of these girls, coffee is great but the girls really make it worth coming back. The cafe is always busy and these girls (Brooke and Robyn) are quicker than the flash. I've never seen anything like it. Not to mention they fuss my dog when he comes in. He gets a free treat and lots of belly rubs. It's really exceptional how they look after their customers!!! KEEP GOING GIRLS YOU'RE AMAZING!!!!

Had coffee and doughnuts, excellent, all very fresh, nice staff good ambience too. Really worth a visit. Just passed Costa, looked dirty and this was refreshing to find.

Saturday 16th October . Me and my husband was just strolling through town when we saw a girl walking around handing out discount cards !!! We instantly took the opportunity to get a half price coffee!!!! When we walked into triple two it was so busy ! The staff instantly welcomed us and explained the different varieties of cakes and coffees that’s they do. It is such a beautiful atmosphere. I just wanted to say a big thank you to the three girls who smashed it this Saturday! It was hectic ! We got out coffees on time and no issues what so ever. I loved the cakes and the coffee was even better!!!!☕️ 100% recommend!!!!!!!!

A fab coffee shop with great quality food and coffee, and friendly staff. The caramel frappés are the best and their toasties are delicious, as are their cakes - I had the carrot cake, so good! I took my little one last week and she said their rocky road was yummy! Will definitely be a frequent stop for me.

Very friendly but I didn't like the coffee

Staff seem pleasent enough, but the place is a kip. Its a pity as it was a nice place to relax, but has been neglected to the point where you have to clean your own table if you don't want to drink at a filthy table.

Once again the customer toilets are closed. Manager unhelpful and unwilling to contact her supervisor. In fact she went further and claimed that she is not allowed to give out contact details or name of the person who she works for. With plenty of places in Cirencester to buy coffee etc I think best to avoid this particular premises.

Coffee was fine. The industrial style decor is quite cool. Not so the wobbly tables or the loooong wait for coffee to be made.

Excellent coffee and excellent service. Always welcoming and such a lovely atmosphere. Did notice things were going down hill a little bit. (Don’t know why but don’t know what’s going on behind the counter) but over the past week I have seen improvements. The staff work so hard and recently they seem a lot more focussed and happy with their job. Would highly recommend. Such a lovely and happy place to go to enjoy your coffee.

So yesterday I went into Triple Two to grab a coffee with my mum and I was mortified to find the fact I didn’t sell hot chocolate apparently they had run out which I find outrageous as a coffee shop especially as it’s winter time and lots more people are going to come out so I was completely disgusted they weren’t even nice about it they could’ve said politely sorry we don’t have hot chocolate was as I asked they were like oh we don’t have hot chocolate okay yeah fine I’ll just go somewhere else

I have been going to triple two now for a while. Coffee number one was my go to coffee shop but after discovering triple two I haven’t looked back. Excellent staff. So friendly and welcoming. Service quick and with a smile. A clean environment. Even at its most busiest the staff are still welcoming. Never had a bad coffee and hopefully never will. The food they have on offer there is good quality food. And there is a good range. The cakes are amazing and again there is a good range as well. 10/10 for triple two highly recommended! Keep up the good work guys

We were big fans of Triple Two and go in for a coffee, sandwich and cake most Saturdays. However in the past few months everything seems to have gone downhill massively. During our last four visits over Christmas and now twice in January it has been in a right state. They are disorganised with no management anywhere in sight. Drinks are of poor quality and food takes an age to arrive. Cups and plates have been piled high behind the serving counter dirty. When items are needed they get a quick 10 second flash in the dishwasher and then are pressed back into service, or utensils are 'washed' with an old sponge in the sink. We ate our toasties by hand on Saturday because it was so disgusting. Customers are handed 'drink in' coffees and cakes in takeaway cups or paper bags. Staff are friendly enough, just either not trained, not organised, or more interested in chatting to their mates. It pains me as we'd rather go to a local business (and had headed here when Jack's closed), but we'll go elsewhere in future. Not recommended for now.

Always enjoy stopping here, the staff are really nice, it looks great and the drinks/cakes have never disappointed. Toddler and dog friendly!

El café era sabroso y bien presentado. Había una buena selección de pasteles y aperitivos salados. Probé el flapjack recubierto de coco y chocolate, que era muy bueno. Los precios son competitivos y están por debajo de los que cobran algunas de las cadenas más grandes. Los asientos estaban bien separados y lejos de la cola para ser atendidos, por lo que no todos están uno encima del otro como se puede encontrar en una cadena Starbucks o Costa en algunos lugares. Deberían hacerlo bien.

Good twists on expected menu. Good place to grab a take away drink or sit-in for a snack. Great unique food and amazing alternative to other larger café brands.

Estaba completamente disgustado por esa actitud hacia nosotros, así que decidí ir a Costa, que para ser honesto, sé que prefiero porque tienen hielo y nos tratan con respeto. merecer. En un mundo donde todos sirven rollos de salchicha vegana, envolturas de fruta de jack y falafel, los triples dos tienen diferentes opciones.Se ofrece un sándwich de crema de maíz y salsa y una envoltura de aguacate. Una gran variedad de pasteles y otros sándwiches también. Un montón de opciones de bebidas también. Algo para todos.

Friendly coffee house that welcomes dogs and well-behaved people! Coffee is very good as are the assortment of cakes. Been there several times and the service is consistently good. Recommended.

A busy place couldn't wait to be served so missed the opportunity to sample their coffee.No doubt it would still be as good as the first time I visited
