Tribez Steak in Bolton

The waitress was inexperienced, the meat in my burger was almost alive (didn't ask how I would like it) I had to ask for a few things a couple times, at the end they gave me the bill and said "cash only", they should tell me that before eating, and on top of that the toilet was a mess.

Amazing place with great food. Only downside is cash only.

The food is excellent and quick service

My cousins and I decided to give TRIBEZ BOLTON a try and it was an excellent choice! We ordered firstly the BITES PLATTER which was a great variety and starter to begin with in preparation for the mains. In the main we ordered two RIBEYE STEAKS with sides and a BUTTERFLY CHICKEN with sides. The caramel onions were perfect and juicy, the Chips were proper Chippy chips, humus was good along with mushroom sauce. To top it off my cousin couldn't resist ordering a 12" AFRICAN SUPREME PIZZA, the base was well cooked and it had plenty of cheese and topping and tasted great 👍🏼 The prices were reasonable considering how good the food was presented and prepared. The atmosphere was chilled, the restaurant was super clean and they also have an onsite toilet. Child seats are available and the staff were very polite and courteous, all in all this is a great place to eat with friends and family so make sure to give it a try 😉👍🏼

Fist time visiting this place in Rochdale, we travelled from Sheffield and i would like to say we was not disappointed. We was greeted from the very beginning with a warm welcome from Asfah, she not only delivered great knowledge of the menu but also with recommendations. Very satisfied and worth the trip. A*

I won't lie; l've been very excited to try this place as I am South African and read online that they use South African braai methods and spices! For starters, we had Cheesy Jalapeños, which were coated in a thick African-spiced batter. Hubby had the "Durban Double," which was two flame-grilled chicken patties, cheese, and Turkey rasher. I had the Madagascar 1/2 chicken, which was marinated in lemon and herb. I must say this tasted exactly like it came off a braai in South Africa! >= They really did bring the flavours from home to the UK! Absolutely loved every bite at Tribez; they have flame-grilled their meat to perfection 10/10

I can only comment on the Gourmet burger. It was a cheap frozen patty and not made with 100% meat. Its not gourmet but priced as such. Tasted bad

Food was quite average, however what was not acceptable was their service. Firstly not enough napkins and cutlery were given which is the absolute basics and then when it came to paying there were no signs of cash only payments and the person at the till said they had no card machines. It would have been nice to know upon walking in to the establishment !

Pricy but got some tasty food. Had the bushmen burger🍔 , their T bone steak 🥩 and the special pizza 🍕 . Burger 🍔 was huge and grilled to perfection, tasty and it came with fries which were fresh. T bone steak 🥩 was also grilled really well and had that flame taste to it. Pizza 🍕 was tasty and the toppings were of high quality!

Visited this place yesterday evening with the family. We ordered the platter of lamb chops, chicken wings and whole chicken. Firstly the lamb chops were made really well which is rare. Flavoursome and not dry and overcooked. The wings and chicken were also well cooked and tasty. The portions were super generous. I didn't try any steak so I can't comment on that. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We decided to try this steak joint out in Bolton ... they managed to fit us in last min to book a table. Staff were very good especially our waiter Munaf. The food was absolutely delicious ...its been a while since I have ate a steak which has been cooked to perfection!

Don't come here bad service! Came to tribez bolton for a BIRTHDAY meal. Food was okay. I explained how to bring out the surprise cake and when in detail. We had finished the food so I indicated for the cake to be brought out. I thought it were going to be brought out in a special manner in wooden special tray, as agreed but no. It were brought out all covered in white bags. Here you go your cake. The surprise was immediately ruined as who presents a cake in covered white bag how I brought it from the shop. Ruined the surprised because the member of staff couldn't be bothered! I were absolutely disgusted as that was really disrespectful. Underminning customers special moment.

Pros: Booked a table for a larger party which was ready for us on arrival. Food was really good, we ordered to the platter to get a taste of various menu items and a pizza. The chops were very good, quite spicy but tender...many places they are either burnt, tough or both. Generous portion sizes and food freshly cooked and served as the items become ready. Toilet facilities. Great value for money imo. They provided tap water...always a plus. And it's HMC certified. Cons: not a very big place so may have to wait on busier days, I don't know if there was an upstairs. A little bit noisy, but prob to be expected from a popular place. Didn't appear to have easy access to parking, so had to find off road places. They only take cash payments. The service in some parts wasn't good. Had to keep reminding them to bring various basic items which, for some reason, the waiters kept forgetting. Summary: I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to others esp if you're looking for quality food with a different flavour to the usual Asian restaurants and fast food joints available in Bolton.

As a longstanding customer, I feel compelled to provide my third updated review of this branch. While I have been loyal to this place since its inception, I must admit that I have observed a decline in its standards, particularly at the Bolton branch. Regrettably, I have noticed a decrease in the sizes of both the Lamb Chops and Steaks over time. Additionally, when the main chef is absent, it appears that the other staff members lack the necessary expertise to properly cook a steak. Despite repeatedly ordering a medium-cooked steak, it consistently arrives well-done, which is disappointing. Moreover, I find it disheartening that even after several years of operation, the Bolton branch still does not have a card machine. This has resulted in the inconvenience of customers having to visit the ATM after their meal or having to bank transfer which detracts from the overall dining experience. Furthermore, it appears that the small touches that were once offered by this establishment have disappeared, leaving the impression that the Bolton crowd is no longer valued or prioritised. It seems that the management is preoccupied with promoting their Rochdale branch on social media platforms, seemingly neglecting the needs and expectations of the Bolton branch's clientele. Despite my disappointment with the decline in standards at this location, I have decided to award them four stars out of appreciation for the good times. I genuinely hope that they can reevaluate and improve upon the shortcomings, as I believe there is potential for a turnaround.

Nice place for a good meal. They have a decent variety of cooked chicken and meat. They chicken wing and lamb chops as very good. Lamb chops were a little on the spicy side but very tender. Steaks were cooked as asked and the burgers are very generous in size too. Plenty of seating and staff are very helpful and friendly.

All of the things on this menu that i have tried are good and are always nice. From the steak, to the different burgers and the pizzas, are all always nice. I went as a party of seven. The food was freshly prepared and was delicious. Vegetarians catered for as well as those preferring to eat meat dishes that are halal. Something for everyone! Laid back atmosphere, plenty of seating, very clean. Staff very accommodating.

Delicious grilled chicken and lamb chops!

Staff very friendly but service was lacking badly. Staff was too busy talking to other co workers and having a good time with them haha, like i understand it because i have worked in food industry in past and its nice to do that but customers shouldn't suffer from it. Was calling waiter for over 5 minutes while they was having a full on chat in the back till eventually one of them heard us. This isn't how it should be bros. This is the first time in years we didn't leave any tip, the service was non existant. Second reason for another star down is im allergic to jalapenos, we made this aware to the waiter and he said our burgers don't have jalapenos in them anyways. But its a good thing i checked before eating they were packed with jalapenos. Please check the picture added for proof. The other thing is the burger had no substance it was just full of chilly sauce. There was no nice taste to any of it and put really spicy sauce on it ruins the taste of anything. Please sort that out. The next problem was the glasses and cutlery was dirty. It seemed everything that could have gone wrong that day did. Maybe because staff was too busy having a good time to care about work or customers, please sort this out, as i run a successful food blog with over 100k followers this will be very sad for me to have to post this review but it is what it is. The lamb chops were amazing though i do gotta say, prices were not too bad either, i just wish you sort out your staffing issues and hygeine, and also make sure you take out stuff people are allergic too as stated as that would have been the worlds easiest lawsuit had i not checked burger before eating it.

Good food you won't be disappointed for sure. Pineapple looks and sounds great sadly it's a disappointment. Also it's a shame they don't accept cards only cash and to make it worse they don't even have signs up stating this you'd expect a place like this to accept card payments. Had to run to the cashpoint if it wasn't for the friendly service I wouldn't be going here again it's so annoying and leads you to assumptions that are they tax avoiding? Are they paying there workers less than the minimum wage? And does it make there money haraam if they are dodging tax and paying cash to workers?

Food was good but the service could have been better. They couldn't get their Steaks to the right level of cooking however for the amount we paid, I expected alot better.

Very good food especially the tenderloin steaks and Angus beef steaks. The lamb chops were good but had way too much spice on them, unnecessarily. We were told that it is cash only, which is ridiculous when you're paying hundreds of £££ for a meal. Service and atmosphere was okay and friendly.

Ordered off Uber eats, 2 hauso bombers and mash. The burger is your average cheese burger just slightly thicker. The size of the burger itself is underwhelming. The full burger is smaller than the palm of my hand. Considering they charge £9.00 for one of these. It’s insulting. The mash is just an abomination of garlic. Poor quality food. Might have been a one off with my order but it’s disappointing. Also spent £30 on just 2 burgers and mash with 2 sides. It’s a joke.

Best place I’ve been to, steak was amazing and chicken was beautiful, the food was tasteful and the service was lovely, the staff was lovely and the place was spot on, shout-out to the workers who was great and shoutout to the chefs! The sisters on till and serving did an amazing job! 11/10…

We went there for my birthday as steaks are my favourite and i was quite impressed. The fillet steak I ordered was an expensive one however I did not regret, the portion the tast the portion was just wow. Really enjoyed my meal and so did my husband & kids.

Beautiful place, beautiful staff, beautiful food. What more is there to say. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had and the steak was so tender and juicy that it was tearing up by the slightest of a fork pull. I wish I took so I could show everyone that beauty in which it beholds.
