Really disappointed ☹️ we got there at 5.30pm excited for a nice fish and chips, we ordered 2 bottles of peroni which when they came they where really warn ! I ordered chilli and garlic prawn starter, when it came the garlic bread was burt and rock hard, there was 4 prawns on top of a piece of dead lettuce which tasted like sponge! I complained the lady said oh ! No apology, I said I didn't want it replacing..then came out main I had fish, chips mushy peas my partner had a pizza.. my chips looked really greasy and the fish was that thin I had to open it up and was shocked, the amount of fish init was no more than a dessert spoon full it was just batter, I was really disappointed, I told the lady are u having a laugh, she grabbed the plate off the table in such a temper and stormed into the kitchen throwing the plates around so loudly it was scary, next minute my partner said take a look under the pizza to my astonishment it was burt to a crisp, of course we said we've had enough the lady said oh that's how our pizza oven cooks them!! The customer service and the cooking was an experience we'll never forget

Been coming here over 20 years it must be now and while the décor might change the quality of the food never has. Always great chips and amazing fish etc. Nice friendly staff couldn't really ask for more. Can get busy around lunch in season etc. Worth dropping in for sure but if you they also have a take away if you are brave enough to risk the seagulls.

Great food but overfaced with too many chips, also miserly amount of Pepsi for £2.50 but the fish alone was worth the visit.

Came on Saturday 17th Feb with my sister who was visiting from Yorkshire... Fish and Chips like they should be, Crispy Batter, beautiful large flakes of delicious fish and chips better than we have tasted in a long time , served with mushy peas and a wedge of fresh lemon ... and a good cup of tea ...a really lovely meal . The staff were very friendly and efficient and made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our meal .. 5star Tribells , well done 👍

Amazing fish and chips. Proper chips not these frozen rubbish ones you get in a restaurant. We had the £9.99 deal which was a small fish and chips with a side of mushy peas, gravy or curry (we had mushy peas), pot of tea for two (which also came with a pot of hot water to top up the tea pot). Staff were very nice, polite and quick service. Would definitely go back.

This place, decor-wise, is somewhere between a traditional fish and chips restaurant and a modern one, and I think it needs to pick a side, as it's a bit soulless at the moment. Service - the one waitress was doing an amazing job and I hope she got a break at some point cos she was absolutely non-stop. Hire more staff! Food - curry sauce was rubbish. No curry flavour at all, was more like stodgy gravy. The onion rings were over cooked. Chips (and fish had by my companion) were fine.

Excellent food. We had the deal of tray for two with a bottle of wine for £30 and had amazing fish and chips x2 with mushy peas. The food was good and hot, great fish so rare in most fish & chip restaurants and also at a budget price

Fish and chips and sausage and chips. The only redeeming feature was the sausage which was very nice. The fish (which had broken in two while being put in the box) was ready before the sausage and had to wait in the warmer. This gave it plenty of time for the greasy oil to seap out into the box. The fish was almost inedible by the time the sausage arrived, and the chips were also very greasy in both boxes with an unpleasant aftertaste. I won't come back here on returns to Llandudno.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips! Fresh, hot and fast! We sat in and enjoyed a lovely meal. I had a regular cod and chips with two sides. The fish was lovely and tender, fresh batter, the chips were also fresh and chunky. No oil in sight on the plate. We also had a selection of sides, gravy and curry sauce was thick and delicious. Mushy peas were gorgeous. Couldn't fault a single part of the meal. Delicious!

Excellent staff and very dog friendly. £32 for 2 fish 'n' chips with mushy peas and 2 cans of Pepsi Max seems expensive to me, but it's a sign of the current climate I guess. We'd been for a hike and got caught in an epic downpour. Me, my wife and our Labrador (Reggie) were soaked plus we both had muddy boots on. I expected them to turn us away but they were more than welcoming and even brought out a bowl of water for Reggie. It was a much needed rest and a chance to dry off. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. They don't just do fish and chips either, the menu has all sorts for fussy kids, from pizza to burgers. I highly recommend Tribells if you're in Llandudno.

Ordered sausage, chips and peas with curry sauce....got home and the sausage looked absolutely disgusting..... I gave it to my dog. My partner tried the sausage and confirmed it tasted awful. Will not be returning!

Najgorsza ryba jaka jadłam mieliśmy 4 porcje , ryby wszystkie strasznie napite olejem tłuste straszna panierka ;( frytki jeszcze gorsze , naciskając na frytkę wyciekał tłuszcz , jedzenie jakas masakra może i duże porcje się wydają ale ryby tam mało sama panierka i to lłusta , nie idź tam strata pieniędzy i zdrowia . Nie polecam tego miejsca , nie wiem kto daje tam takie wysokie noty ;(

Friendly staff, lovely food and Orme ale!! Delightful

Ordered the cheese and onion pie special with mushy peas. It arrived with chips (that I had specifically not asked for). The plate was taken away and the pie and peas returned. The pie was tasty but the smallest pie I have ever seen! When I came to pay, the overall bill was higher than expected and I was told the pie was £10 on its own - I complained about the price and asked for the contact information for the manager but told they didn’t have any (she just turns up apparently, also told she sets the prices). General decor and toilets were very tired looking and felt ripped off.

There was No price listed anywhere (other than for meat pies). We also ordered other food. When we enquired about the price the person could not justify it! She did not know the tel number of her manager either. We were shocked and disappointed. Feel completely ripped off! Absolutely disgusting. I should have realised because the restaurant was empty. I ordered special if the day king size fish, chips, peas and bread and butter. The chips were all bits and warmed up. Fish just ok nothing special and certainly not king size. The male toilet was in need of a good clean. There was no light in the entrance and no light in one of the cubicles. Filthy dirty, paint peeling off the ceiling, carpet absolutely filthy on the stairs. Where are the health and safety inspectors? Avoid. At £16.50 it's not cheap. Avoid.

One of these rare gems , every time we passed it didn't look busy so on Thursday evening we decided to have fish and chips as I walked in to the restaurant side I was amazed at the size of the room, from outside it looked as if it was just what you saw from the street but it was double with plenty of seating We sat down service was quick and the food arrived in good time we were having cod and chips me being large had the large It was fresh and the chips were delicious I must say this is a hidden gem 3 streets back from the front

Been twice, very expensive compared to other chip shops, on first occasion the portion should of been better on the second occasion it was scandalously small.

Maybe it was because it was 5pm on a Wednesday night in November. But the chips were crispy warm ups and the fish tasteless. Which is unfortunate because we won't be going back there again.

Nice fish.. Chips could be better.. they are not bad at all.. but we got a lot of little hard one's. But again the fish was lovely, and the batter was soft and nice. Ooh and the girls serving were really lovely and helpful..

We ordered from the take away section. The food was nice, the service was very poor. When I entered and ordered the woman behind the counter was rude and seemed to be angry about something. Then two other sets of customers arrived to which the staff member then moaned that we had come in as she was eating her roast dinner. Apologies, if we had known we could of gone elsewhere! Whilst waiting for our food, the woman behind the counter was still being rude and very short. All the customers were just looking at each other in amazement at how bad the service was. The food was lovely, some of the best chips I’ve ever had but the demeanour of the staff member and her attitude towards paying customers was crazy, she obviously didn’t want to be there or care about her customers. Visited on Sunday 15th October just after 3pm.

Came here for fish and chips. It's dog friendly, which was great, and the service was excellent. The food was cooked perfectly, and we had the plate to share with fish scampi and squid delicious

I came.to Tribells 2 weeks earlier with friends on a golf trip and was impressed enough to bring my wife while we were staying nearby. Lovely young girl waiting on,very friendly. We went for a sharing special of 2 regular fish with large chips and curry sauce with bread and butter for £30. A little strange to get 3 half slices of bread, what happened to the other one? But the meal was lovely, and lots of it. Very nice fish and good chips. The curry sauce has a little kick !! Very good and will be back. Thanks

As locals thought we would give this place a try for a quick snack of cheesy chips after shopping. Urghhhh, lukewarm heated up greasy stale soggy chips. Never again! Normally we would have a delicious chip barm in "The Haven" cafe further down the road but we had missed the last hot food time. Their chips are freshly cooked snd mouthwatering tasty. Next time we will make sure we are not too late to eat at The Haven. Tribells you need to check what is being served from your kitchen, horrible chips.

My son is 14 and doesn't eat much. When we tried to order a kids meal for him we were told they couldn't sell us a kids meal because he looked too old. We were forced to buy an adults meal where he left most of it. Our average sized meal came to over £75, for a chip shop!!!. Save your money and go somewhere posher, with better food and better service and pay the same money. 'Harvey's New York Bar & Grill' around the corner is around the same kind of money and amazing compared to this overpriced chippy.

Stumbled upon this restaurant in Llandudno. The fish and chips was amazing, the fish was the size of a beached whale. The service from Hayley and Kelly was first class. Would recommend this restaurant highly.

I ordered the large fish and chips meal and when the fish arrived it was not properly drained of oil and just plonked on top of my chips, totally covering them in oil which totally destroyed the taste of the meal. I won't be returning.

Called in today . The place was empty . The chips we had were pale in colour. Floppy and full of grease. Felt like they had been warmed up Very over priced . Not presented professionally. Tea pots need descaling. Gordon ramsey would have a great time here. He would give a few swear words about this place

We went there at 7.30 tonight on a Sunday for our tea. They were closing at 8 but it was no problem for them to accommodate us. We had the dog with us and they were dog friendly, literally, making a fuss of him. Our orders came quickly and were good quality and large. The two ladies that served us were very friendly, courteous and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them in serving us. I would highly recommend here to anyone. On our next visit to Llandudno we will definitely be returning here.

The staffs had race on visitors. They treated customers on different ways depends on their skin colours and languages, especial that woman who took orders. I have never meet this kind of rude service. Won't come again or recommend.

This Restaurant sell the best fish and chips I've eaten whilst out. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they even welcomed my dog and offered him a drink of water which I thought was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to eat in.

Yesterday, a large group of us went here to eat. It was still a famous restaurant. Why didn’t I think it was because we were tourists from outsiders? If I could, I would give a zero negative review. We were ready to order when the store was not busy, and our hands were raised. Since we ignored us and made us wait for 30 minutes, others came in later than us. After ordering, after 30 minutes, no waiter came to order and we just left, which made me very angry! The service attitude is very bad! I hope you will consider whether to go or not before you go!

Had very bad experience in this restaurant yesterday afternoon. The staff, who banded her hair at back with a large hair clip, was very unhappy and serious, but she took orders and worked at till. I and my friends were waiting for 20 minutes but she didn’t come to order. We lifted our hands up to make her attention, she knew it but shouted out “ howi” when she was next table. She repeated twice. We were shocked because we didn’t know what’s going on. She said she would come back to us in 2 minutes but she didn’t. Other customers who came late than us got food. Other staffs were as cold as fish. We had 10 people and left for such poor service. Shame on her. No idea what’s famous for , race , poor service or arrogance? 30 minutes for nothing. Won’t recommend. Visitors must avoid this restaurant.

This used to be a great place. Fantastic fish and chips and an OAP discount. Now the food is mediocre and pricey. You have to pay £1.50 for some very weird tasting tartar sauce. Sorry but can't recommend it and on fishband chip Friday there were plenty of spare tables.

Food was ok nothing special.I was there with my mother and her friends,one of her friends a 80 year old lady has had a stroke so can't use cutlery.We asked if she could have a child's sausage and chip meal which was refused even after explaining why.This was a show of discrimination and the manager was totally unhelpful a discrace.

It was quite alright. There are other better options for the famous British fish and chips course. We ordered the sebas, regular fish and chips, and fish cakes and were all normal. The fries was good, and overall atmosphere was ok. The staff though was friendly and kind. Thank u!

The place itself is very grotty! The toilets are awful and the walk up to them doesn't help either. We ordered the tray of fish and chips which comes with two fish, large chips, two sides and a bottle of wine. The fish and chips were good but the mushy peas were a gritty paste. The wine was undrinkable. We had a glass each and threw away the rest. So disappointed after the good reviews. Stick to a take away!!!!

Incredible value for money - we had the daily special - a tray for 2 with huge portion of chips, 2 large fish (cooked in dripping not oil) 2 sides and a bottle of house wine for £30 all in!! Waitress was really nice - can’t fault the place!! 🥳

Best fish and chips I've had!! Family of 6 and 5 had regular fish and chips, could not fault it. Lovely light and crisp batter and the chips were not like chippy chips, more home made style. The gravy is delicious, unlike normal chippy gravy....

We visit Llandudno a couple of times a year and stay just round the corner. Today was the first time we had eaten in and we were very impressed. Lovely and clean and the waitress was friendly and funny. Our great nephew thought she was great as she made him feel special.

Been here a few times in the last year usually food is quite good but Today we had the fish and chips and 2 side orders x 2 @ £16.00 odd ..Fish and the Chips tasted very Fatty and oily! fat in the fryers not been changed for a couple of Days in my opinion not usually like this there as said have had Fish Chips there a few times this year.. I just hope that there standered isn't slipping! when you pay £16.00 for Fish and Chips you do expect them to be Good.. The Young Waitress was exceptional and on the Ball couldn't do enough 5* on that .. Pitty I can't say the same about the Cooking well for Today anyway...
