Not great communication from staff (which menus are available when). Sandwich had half of the ingredients missing. This was replaced with no quibbles but the replacement was quite soggy and didn't feel very carefully put together. Other food was fine. Might just have been unlucky but not a great experience.

We had a fantastic lunch today and can't fault anything. The Cajun Chicken was so very good. Quality Service and surroundings. It was probably at least a year since we we visited and great to see the standards are still the same 👌

Really lovely experience! Food and drinks were delightful. Staff were great and it's a lovely atmosphere inside. Probably one of the best places I've been too and I live in a big city!. I would definitely try this place out.

My friend booked a table for 19.00 on Thurs 8th Feb. When we arrived at 18.55, we were advised that our table wasn't ready. We were left standing for 30mins, before our table was ready. We didnt even have the offer of a refreshment while waiting. However once seated the service was good and food was excellent. Because the food was so good, I called on Saturday 16th Feb to enquire if there was a table available for 16.00. I held on the line for 10mins waiting, I then hung up and called back. This time I requested a call back, which never happened. We decided to drop in at the restaurant to be told there wouldn't be a table available until 21.00. If they had answered the phone or called back, it would've saved us an unnecessary journey and walk in the rain. Very disappointed. Still waiting on a call back 18 hours later 😬

Cannot fault the food or service here. Everything came in good time and our server was lovely. My Filet steak with the sea salt onion rings were spot on 👌 the rest of what my family had was all great as well. Other than minor things such as the music was a bit loud, and my steak came without a steak knife to help cut it, everything was brilliant. So why only 3 stars? Mandatory "service fee". And it wasn't just a few bob either. Something about that feels beyond cheeky. Is it supposed to be in place of a normal tip? Wasn't particularly happy with that.

Went here with friends. Ordered the fish n chips.. . 17 pounds for half a fillet of fish some chips and peas . Fish was cold . . Couple ordered the cajun crepe . Was bland no taste of cajun . They weren't pleased as they've had many a meal in ayr as they here from America and said that was the worst one they've had so far . I'd have been better going to forehill and and getting a fish tea with 2 large fish and alot less than 17 pounds .. .

Well our first visit last night and I fell in love with this place! The vibe is just perfect, the staff were brilliant and the food was great. And... A brilliant price too. Two courses on the festive menu for £22.95. for what we got, that was great value. The decor is beautifully modern, dark greens, lots of plants... Tables aren't on top of each other so even sat next to another table you don't notice them. Cannot wait to go back and try more. Restauranting done right 👍

Really not worth the money. Food arrived warm, not at all hot. Huge portions but very average. Definitely not worth £13-18 for lunch mains. Had to ask for kids menu cos it hadn't appeared a full 5 minutes after we got ours. Upon leaving none of the 4 staff standing around the desk lifted their head to say thanks bye. Not to be catty but they could've been polishing the cutlery properly instead: we had to swap out 2 full sets cos they were so streaky if not actually crusty. Also no toilet roll. 3 or 4 tables at 3pm on a Sunday. Idk why we didn't go to pizzaioli tbh. On the plus side they have and always have had good options for vegetarians. No mushroom risotto or cauliflower steak thank god, and the interior is gorgeous

Excellent food and service. Staff found our group a table in the bar after our meal so we could continue with our Christmas celebrations. Definitely will be back.

Food was delicious and the venue looks lush, service was pretty underwhelming during a less than busy period of the day. Food took ~40mins to arrive for two patrons which was a bit of a turn off.

Music was too loud diners having to shout at each other to be heard. The staff taking my dining partners order didnt listen to him on what he wanted he asked for a plain cheeseburger it got presented to him with tomato, smokey relish and mayonnaise so was not enjoyed definitely not worth the money I paid for it will NOT be returning

Went here yesterday and it was near perfect. Let me explain the food stuff first. The food was epic. 10/10 and that’s the most important thing. The atmosphere was perfect too another 10/10. The food took a tad long to arrive but after eating it would be happy to wait for that every time. My only negative was the staff, not the man who was friendly and cheerful and helpful but the female staff. Two of which we dealt with directly. Now it may have been down to how busy it was and tbh it looked under staffed, but they were not overly friendly, not unfriendly, but not what you’d expect in a place of this standard. If I could have given this place a 4.5 I would have. Anyways we will be definitely be back.

Came in for a quick lunch while in Ayr.. was left waiting at the door for about 5/7 mins without being acknowledged.. Where I noticed how dusty and dirty the bronze hanging light were near the entry.. Finally got seated then immediately asked what i like to order without even looking at the menu.. Ordered a bottle of Munich Red West Brewery beer which came with a dirty glass.. So just drank it from the bottle then Ordered off the lunch menu.. Mac & Cheese with a side of Truffle and parmigiano fries.. Mac & cheese was rather runny and didn't come with Macaroni pasta it came with Rigate pasta that the cheese sauce didn't stick to as was rather over cooked and smooth.. Garlic bread wasn't Toasted well and was extremely overwhelming of garlic.. Truffle fries were average couldn't taste the truffle oil much.. Tbh the only decent think was the beer.. Didn't get a check back till I was already asking for the bill and while I was sitting trying to enjoy my lunch I could hear the manager swearing.. Not somewhere I would come back and bring my family especially young kids. Overall disappointed as had high expectations with Buzzworks being the biggest restaurant chain in Ayrshire.

Had lunch at the Tree House during our recent visit to Ayr in October 2023. I recommended that we get lunch at the Tree House after visiting the restuarant in October 2021. Everything was lovely in 2021, food, service and ambience. We were certainly not in the least disappointed on Monday 16th 2023. Again everything was excellent. Great lunch menu 1,2 or 3 courses. We had 2 courses but after seeing what desserts were on offer. I had a third course. After eating 2 courses, I certainly didn't need 3 but deserts were too good to refuse. Food was very tasty and very well presented. Service from both waitresses also excellent. Cocktails ( one smoking cocktail, Wow! ) and mocktails were very enjoyable. Restuarant decoration very impressive and toilets very clean with lovely soap and handcream.

Booked a table for 3 many weeks ago. Service and food were excellent. However being rammed into an L shaped table in corner completely ruined our experience. Asked to be moved but couldn't be accommodated despite multiple empty tables.

5* service, food was amazing, beautiful looking restaurant, revisited 3 times now when up in Scotland.

Great place. Come here often. Gluten free options available. Helpful in dealing with more unusual allergens such as thickeners and preservatives. We love this place.

We visited on Saturday 14th October, l was in my mobility scooter , my friends lifted my scooter up two steps at front door into TheTree House. The young man ushered the six of us through to the room behind the bar for lunch. There were steps down to the room, the bartender went and got two metal ramps and placed them on the top step for me to go down in my scooter. But as l started to go down the ramps both moved and jumped down onto the next step. There was the crashing sound and my scooter and l tipped over to my right and almost fell off the ramps. I got such a fright as if I'd fallen out l would have got hurt and unable to get up off the ground , also my scooter that l depend on might have been damaged! Apart from that the food was fabulous.

Midweek lunch with a friend. Friendly service and nice table near the window but unfortunately sitting next to a noisey table of Ayr housewives a bit offputting to say the least! Food was average and well presented however felt the calamari was from frozen and a bit overpriced. Ok lunch but nothing special.

Great food-compliments to chef -always. Great staff-very obliging, helpful and always pleasant-loved dining here.

My family and I, 20 of us enjoyed a fabulous meal at The Tree House in Ayr last night for my 50th birthday celebration. We were sat in a private dining area away from the rest of the restaurant however still felt part of the ambience and buzz of the place. Our host, Alex was fantastic from start to finish. He was so attentive and ensured everyone had everything they needed. Our meals were all gorgeous, chosen from a set menu which had an abundance of choice. We cut and served out my beautiful cake for dessert which Alex adorned with sparklers. I didn’t get the name of the other gentleman who was serving our meals, drinks etc, wish I could name him too as he was also very friendly and professional. The restaurant had reserved a couple of tables through the back of the T-Bar for us to continue into the night which was perfect. All in all a fab night had by all and we’ll defo be back. Thank you. Looking for somewhere to eat as didn't fancy fast food. Called here on the off chance as hadn't booked a table, asked for a table for two, but they hadn't got any availability but said they could accommodate us in the bar area if we didn't mind. (Not a problem) we both ordered the t-bone steak. A little pricey maybe but I really fancied steak. We weren't disappointed, came out well presented and wow the taste was amazing, we both agree and say it has to be the best steak we've ever had. Every thing was perfect. Service was great, food was amazing and would certainly recommend. Thank you for a fabulous meal.

Close to the rental we stayed at so great location in Ayr. Atmosphere inside is cosy and service was very attentive. Cocktails were lovely and the food was incredible, especially the chilli chips! We had a such a great experience we went back for breakfast before we left which was just as good! Will return when we’re next in Ayr.

Cool wee 'hip' bar in Ayr. Reasonably priced, good selection of drinks, friendly staff. Food looked good but didn't eat here on this occasion.

We had mixed opinions on The Tree House, I think it's good and has the potential to be really good if a couple of areas were improved. Food did take a wee while to arrive. The Ceasar salad looked amazing but it could have used more dressing,it also had anchovies..which I now know I dont like so il'll be careful when ordering in future. The chicken crepe was great. Sides had to be asked for as didn't arrive with main meal, and then took a while to be delivered to table, the onion rings were really good. Its a lovely restaurant, well presented and it appeared to have plenty of staff.

Great food, great value for money.

I ordered the cheese and chutney sandwich with mushroom soup the soup was Luke warm at best and tasteless the sandwich came with slices of rubber cheese and a tasteless chutney very disappointed. My partner had a Blt , the ciabatta was wet at the bottom, not sure whether the lettuce was wet and again soup cold. Won’t be back

Pleasant lunchtime experience, food absolutely fine. No issues.

Slow service due to obvious staff shortages. Those present were working hard but the venue was busy with only three serving and one at the drinks bar. Took ages. I think Buzzworks (the holding company) is making some assumptions about loyalty. Other venues might be better value and worth a try. I also had steak which tasted cheap, but wasn’t cheap.

Been several times and never disappointed.

We had meant to visit earlier in the week but ended up just popping in for breakfast before we left Ayr and were so pleased we did. The staff were friendly and efficient, the decor and the atmosphere was great (including very good music), and the food was brilliant. My plant-based brekkie was much bigger than I expected with a wide selection of elements and at a great price, as was my husbands full cooked breakfast. On a rainy morning we could have stayed there at the Tree House much longer.

Had brunch here for the first time in ages and we had bacon rolls and tea. What a disappointment. The rolls were very average and a bit squashed and the bacon over cooked. Shocked to have a service charge included on the bill.

Good food and ambiance, it was general trivia night on a Thursday. Staff seem d a little overloaded, but great nigh overall. Had a steak sirloin with garlic king prawns and a whisky and Aran mustard sauce(which is fantastic). A little mess with the plates, it took longer to get what we had ordered.

Went here Sunday night to celebrate my wife’s birthday, two of us and two grown up children. As usual, staff were attentive, without being overbearing. Food and beverages all arrived in timely manner, never felt rushed. We were given time after our main to decide if we wanted dessert, which some did. All good, no complaints from us. Well done Tree House Team

Considering the highly recommended nature of this location I had high expectations. I will say the ambiance and vibe are truly nice. All the finishes were lovely. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The food was ok, not great. We ate across the street the evening before and that food set the standard. So this gets the 3/5 (which really feels generous to be honest). The sandwich we were served was not at all inspired or prepared well and mostly tasted of onion and the promised sauce was mostly flavorless. The garlic toast was one of those dishes you eat and the garlic is with for the next few days. Everything else was ok. I would not go here again, but the aesthetic was truly worth the one visit. The food not so much.

Great place to dine out not too far from the beach or the centre of town, great menu choices and a great kids menu. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best to book but they do take walk ins if tables are available.

Great place for a family meal, staff are great, friendly and helpful. The food is great I recommend the prawn cocktail and the prime beef burger. Child’s menu is good for the little ones and has a vast drinks menu. We did walk in and get seated but I believe booking is recommended.

Stayed in Ayr for two days and had breakfast lunch and dinner here. Lovely food and good service too! Highly recommended

In a world of fish and chips and pub grub, this is a real standout.

On the menu it was a bloomer what came was a cold Warburtons bread sandwich and cold soup

Yummy food! Fun atmos. Would have loved to stay longer but they closed earlier than web said so we were startled, but lovely nonetheless! Mac and cheese and chicken tempura were top!

Unfortunately my friend and I found the food very poor value for money. I had a chicken burger which consisted of 2 decent sized pieces of chicken breast which were bland and overcooked in a bun with a small spread of crushed avocado, a slice of gherkin and a slice of tomato served with a side salad, some coleslaw and a portion of very plain chips (basic frozen chips) priced at £16.45. Very overpriced in my opinion. My friend had a cheese and bacon burger priced at £16.95! Fortunately we had the 40% discount deal on the food but if you didn’t have this discount these meals were extremely overpriced. Service was excellent. Staff were extremely attentive. Also please note a 10% service charge was added to the bill which we didn't notice until after we paid with a tip!

Food delicious. Service brilliant! Lauren served us - friendly, professional and helpful. We arrived about 4pm - it wasn't so busy then and nice background music. As it got busier, the music volume seemed to get louder. It's a nice restaurant and I'm sure we'll be back. We chose from the set menu which was very good value.
