Best Sunday roast dinner I’ve tasted in a very long time ,looked good ,Welsh Lamb and Beef was tender and tasted FANTASTIC ,with lovely traditional vegetables cooked to perfection, what I would describe as real old fashion farm house cooking at it’s best. A credit to kitchen staff and waitresses and to local farmers and suppliers.

Good food and good service in a local cafe however I feel the place over charges massively for the food and drink. Roast dinner is way too expensive for the quality and portion of the meal. If prices were more reasonable it would be a 5 star from me.

What an amazing breakfast, we’ve been here a few times now for breakfast and they are always fantastic. The staff are super friendly and helpful so what more could you want.

Early start on Friday so stopped here for breakfast and so glad we did, breakfast for 10 people all serviced quickly and hot. Pity its not closer to home, definitely recommended.

I went in last Sunday 29th October, ordered 2 children's roast dinner, I wanted vegetables with veggie gravy, they said that they only had chicken or beef gravy, OMG you don't put chicken or beef gravy over vegetables for a vegetarian!! So I ordered scampi and chips. They also said that we had to wait for 30 minutes, and when our meals came we had to eat it in 20 minutes because someone else wanted our table!! OMG bearing in mind I had a 1 year old to feed as well as myself, how on earth can you finish your food within 20 minutes!! FLIPPING RIDICULOUS!! I won't be going there again!!!!!

After an awful reception from the Red Lion next door where my wife and I had booked Sunday lunch we went to this little gem. The reception we received was lovely , the Lunch excellent and great value , the cafe clean . It was a great experience and thanks to the lovely two staff we even had an exc pudding each. I highly recommend this place

Had a latte and a cheese sandwich. Never seen so much cheese in a sandwich before. It was very nice on brown seeded bread.

Had a beautiful piping hot roast beef dinner with fresh vegetables. Beef melted in mouth. Service friendly & good.

Basic food, the kind found in other restaurants in plenty of other towns. Nothing special but tasted nice. No salad available at all, with any of the meals. The roast was just pressed meat. Also I believe from other people that they only take cash in this day and age! Apologies if cards are taken, but our meal was paid for by friends who use cash anyway. The toilets are not disabled friendly as they are up some steep upstairs. We had booked a table for lunch but when we got there, no reserved sign was on any of the tables. It's a good job it wasn't full. I wouldn't go back there or recommend them to others.

Had breakfast here before a day of motorcycling. A very tasty breakfast with good service. Only small improvement could be using butchers sausages rather than catering sausages but other than that great.

Lovely friendly family café. Food was exceptional. ! Hubby had the all day Breakfast. I had the Roast Dinner, mine was Beef on that day. Quick polite waitress. Clean and good clean toilets. 5*. Well worth a visit.

Nice and clean Very helpful service But very overpriced I mean £1.80 for a can of coke I had full B/fast and to be honest in this review it was not that good Chips were overcooked , bacon was undercooked as was the egg and the sausage didn’t taste like pork or once cut open look like pork I’m sure they were having an off day as the -lace does get busy

Great little kitchen to stop off on our long journey home. Staff were lovely, food was great. I had a Tuna mayo sandwich, husband had the lasagne which he loved. Kids had fish fingers, chips and beans - they probably could have shared though. Only thing missing was a babychange table, I was able to change my lad standing, but just something to note of you have a little baby. Lovely visit and would go back. X

Recently had a fully cooked breakfast . Really fresh and tasty , lovely staff. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again when in the area 👍.

Excellent value, friendly people

No frills about this place, just decent home-cooked food fairly priced. Roast dinner (on a Thursday) was the highlight although v. good lasagne appeared home-made too. Excellent and very pleasant service.

19 members of Aberaeron town angling club met for a cooked breakfast at 8 am , the food came out fast and hot , the service was great . Lovely clean cafe with very clean toilets too . The 2 young staff were very efficient fair play . Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a tasty breakfast before our off road bike day. We were in a hurry and they were very accomadating. The food wasn't fancy but tasted good. Coffee was great Cafe was smart and well presented

It's a very cute and cozy place.

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident as there was no one else serving food in the town, but we are so glad we did. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table by a lovely young lady (blonde hair) we ordered Sunday lunch which was one of the freshest and tastiest we have had and it was only £8. I would highly recommend this little Welsh Gem. Thanks guys

If you don't mind INSTANT COFFEE it's ok.

I understand they were short of staff when we called but the presentation of our toasted sandwich was awful, no bit of salad or crisps etc just two slices of shop bought brown sliced bread with ham and cheese. The cafe was clean and the staff were pleasant, dissapointed.

Evening meal was very nice and so was the continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast was terrible. Quorn sausage tasted terrible, bubble and squeak was dry, egg and baked beans were nice, hash brows had an odd green colour and were also dry. My partner said the bacon was not nice. I ended up leaving most of the cooked breakfast, which is strange for me. I wouldn't recommend the cooked food but I would recommend the continental. Everything else was nice. Clean and a nice atmosphere, friend/helpful staff

Stopped here for our lunch on our way to north wales, the food was very good and the staff friendly, we did have to wait quite a while for the food to arrive which was surprising as it was not that busy, but overall was very nice.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal served by friendly and efficient staff. I had a Farmhouse Grill and he had lasagne and chips and salad. Both delicious 😊 The drinks were also good - yummy coffee for me and tea for him. Will be back soon!

Had an excellent (late) breakfast there. Good products, swift and friendly service and excellent value. Recommended.

A restaurant that serves a good menu which includes kids meals but they don't provide high chairs which is a shame.

Very helpful young lady who arranged for us to have a couple of lovely sausage baps plus hot drinks to go as we had our little dog with us.

We discovered this cafe when passing through Llanidloes. We were swiftly made welcome and given menus containing everything from full main meals to afternoon tea and cakes. We needed a light lunch so picked various toasted sandwiches and one mushrooms on toast. The food arrived piping hot and definitely tasty (with the ‘best dish’ award clearly won by the mushrooms on toast). Whilst the decor is a little tired, this is clearly a much-loved local cafe/restaurant with excellent home cooking and friendly staff. We’d definitely go there again if we’re in the area.

Called in here Bank holiday Sunday, myself, husband, 5 year old grandson and 2 year old grandson No baby chairs yet the menu caters for under 12s. No baby changing room. Had to change the toddler on the toilet floor!! Ordered 2 adult meals and asked for 2 x sausage, chips and beans for the kids. First child meal arrived. Then both adult meals. Waited for other child meal, nothing... So we asked, off the waitress went to find out after looking on her writing pad at the order. Few minutes later came and said there was a mix up and just doing the meal now! Poor boy was starving so had a fair bit of mine. There was no carton/bottle drinks just in a glass with a straw. At the end of the meal I asked for the child's meal knocking off to be told well he had it. I said yes after a wait and had to eat mine. She knocked half price off it. No signs up to say cash only. We weren't the only ones caught out. Another guy had to rush off and go to A bank machine. If it wasn't for the service and the lack of children's highchairs and changing room, I'd have given this a 5 star but don't feel it's justified!

Proper food in a great cafe, Staff nice too... Roast of the day lunch £6.99 great...right on the high street.

Came Upon Cafe By Chance My Husband Had A Bacon And Cheese Bap I Had A Sausage Bap Both Were Freshley Made And Hot. The Service Was Excellent Will Go There Again If In The Area

We had a lovely roast there last Saturday 30/7/17 very wholesome food and nice pleasant staff at a fair price , will call again
