Ordered large fish n chips to take away also single haggis ..what I got was a large batter with very thin fish that you could hardly taste .the chips were thin and dry and no taste either ..the only nice thing was the haggis .cost was 10.45 which if was edible is a good price ..tbh I threw most of it in the bin as it was bad ..I don't like leaving bad reviews but when its bad it's bad I won't be back sorry and dont no if I just had a bad experience on this occasion..

Traditional chippy, very reasonable pricing compared to other ones in the local area.

Very nice and freindly atmosphere. 3 course meal with tea for less than £9. Cannot beat that.

Yorkshire fisheries were closed so we thought we'd try here for a change and wasn't disappointed. The service was great and the food good. Good serving and lovely cup of tea.

After reading reviews and thinking that's cheap, I have also owned a couple of fish and chip shops in the past. I ordered a large cod and chips, when it arrived I noticed the cod didn't look large, it was very thin and hardly had any battery on it, on tasting it I believe it was not cod, bit hard to tell because the oil it was fried in badly needed changing. The chips were ok but very small portion. I usually go to Yorkshire fisheries down the road their cod is cod, their normal size fish is same size, batter tastes like batter, I will go back there. Cheap is not always best.

Let's be frank. It's in competition with Yorkshire fisheries up the road. And for the life of me I can't understand why? Tower Fisheries is AMAZING, it more than stands on its own two feet. The prices are HALF of their competitors up the road and the service is outstanding. Friendly! Their restaurant is old cafe style, we love that here in Blackpool. It's welcoming. The fish is banging. Costs you £18 up the road for fish n chips... here, £6pp in chips and a side. And if you ask for it lightly battered that's what you get. I like a thin, crispy batter myself. You need to try the Yorkshire fishcake too. Fish between two escalopes of potatoes and then deep fried. Coor. It's Delicious. Forget the name sake of others and try about 50ft down the street here. It's so so much better. Trust me 🙏

Was not as good as expected as was reported by Macmasterand Stephen of Walk on the wildside. Yes, the price is affordable, but the fish was thin the batter greasy. The chips were reheated, maybe. The bread and margarine were cheap, and I had the bad oil taste in my mouth and throat for nearly two days .

Not the best chippy in the area but definitely the cheapest. For the prices they charge you can't really complain at what you're given to be honest.

I arrived here very hungry after a lot of travelling and needed something quick to eat. The Cheese and Onion pie was heated well, and the chips were also nice. Very cheap, which is good!

We had a delicious Saturday tea here. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and with first class service. And, don’t tell the owners but it was an absolute bargain. Can’t wait to return, much better value than their Yorkshire neighbours.

Was in the area and wanted somewhere good to have fish and chips, without the hustle and bustle of the big chain venues and sea front places, so reading the good reviews we came here. The lady came to the table took our order and before long we were tucking into our large fish and chips, one with curry sauce and one with beans. 👍 The batter on the fish was light and crunchy, the fish was pure white and cooked perfectly, the chips were a little golden in colour and very tasty, only little niggle was as the curry sauce and beans had been served in stainless steel gravy boats, they were a little cooler than we would have liked, but other than that, spot on and it didn't cost the earth. I'll definitely be calling back again the next time I'm in the area.

Food very poor, my mistake was heading to Yorkshire fishery, but saw this and looked at reviews, reviews looked promising, but the chips were very dark and under cooked asked for extra large fish they ran out (usually most chippy would apologise and give two small ones, the mushy peas were very dark and thick so all in all I would not recommend this chippy, and walk the extra two minutes but you don't know until you try, My work colleague asked for jumbo sausage with chips and got two small ones and they were tasteless, my nephew ordered pie and chips he left the chips and mushy peas, and he doesn't like wasting food, sorry to say it's a NO to this chippy Sorry no photos as left phone in van

Best chippy in Blackpool, food is great quality and yet very reasonably priced. It really pays to get away from the Prom, Blackpool still has some hidden gems like this.

Came here off the back of some YouTubers including walk with me Tim. The food prices are so low it’s crazy. I fed 2 adults and 3 kids for just £18!!! 2 fish chips and peas (adult size) 2 sausages Steak and kidney pie Large chips The food was good but I didn’t think the chips looked as good as I’ve seen. However… I did go on a Monday at 5 and the town was EMPTY so may have not been the freshest chips. But they did Taste good. The fish was excellent. And I shouldn’t moan really as the prices are insane!!

An unassuming but hidden treasure in Blackpool Town Centre, I'd say this establishment is perhaps one of the most underrated and overlooked locations for a damn good fish and chips in the town. Cheap though absolutely delicious, the service is always amiable, speedy and accommodating. The owners are delightful and clearly work hard to keep their business going, I would definitely recommend to residents and tourists. You can find more expensive, but I dare say you won't find better than doesn't burn a hole in your wallet. A hidden gem and one that you should definitely not overlook when you're hungry.

Tower Fisheries is a good place to sit and eat. They have toilets 🚻 overall clean is OK. Food tasty very happy with a price. They have nice clear menu to easier your choice. They offer some menu sets with a 2 dish and a dessert. Even outside They have some poster with a price which I liked. Good localisation, easy to find. Recommended for quick cheap fish 🐟 and chips 🍟

We ate at this place after asking a local review site about chippies in Blackpool. If you have time to get off the seafront and walk into town you will find great food at a great price. This how I remember proper fish and chips. We went for the special which was fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter with a large mug of tea for £6.95. You can't beat this for value. The chips were proper chips, all different sizes and with some bits and non greasy. The fish is cooked to order and was really white and flaky in a nice thin crunchy batter lovely. Kids meals are only £1.00. This is very good value for a family on a budget and only a 10 minute walk from the front where you will pay double for the same meal. The place is clean, owners friendly and will take your order at the table. Remember if the locals are eating in there and recommending it then it speaks for itself.

Great value chippy and very tasty too. Went on the day of the light switch on so it was busy but service was pleasant and efficient. Fish was lovely and crispy, chips nicely done. Would have liked the curry sauce to be a little spicier but that's just personal taste. Great value with change from £7 for takeaway.

We tried here because of the reviews, how true they are best fish n chips we have had in a long time. Real chips, old school, bag of spuds not pre paired , hospitality by 2 of the nicest people, highly recommend see you again soon 😀

This has to be the cheapest and best place in Blackpool for fish and chips. Kids meals are only £1. The food tasted nice, the fish was flaky and not greasy at all, you get real mushy peas and the curry was lovely. They have loads of good meal deals available. I'll definitely be going back!

Superb £6.95 for a fish tea including mushy peas mug of tea and sliced bread and butter. Not to mention Roast chicken chips and gravy including tea with bread and butter.

You get what you pay for, which unfortunately wasn't great "Milkshake" was a bottle of yazoo Chips like they where reheated as kinda soggy and brown A lot of grease left on the plate from the food Friendly staff but didn't say too much Wouldn't come back

I would not recommend this place, as we went here a couple of days ago and ordered Cod, Chips and mushy peas, Haddock and chips and Meat and Potato pie with chips. The Cod and Haddock meals were the same price at £5.95, sitting inside. But both fish were exactly the same fish, in size and taste and nowhere near the size of what Youtuber Macmaster received. They were not either haddock or cod and seemed like frozen fish, as they were watery when you cut into them. Chips were good though. However, for a cheap meal (they should advertise what the fish is correctly), great bargain to fill most people up and would recommend, if you are going to try here, try the "cod", chips and mushy peas, as you seem to get more for your money with the addition to the peas. Fairly decent cup of tea too.

£5.95 For fish chips mushy peas excellent value and really tasty food. We ventured off the sea front looking for this place after hearing good things and we wasn’t disappointed. Service was excellent the lady who served us was really friendly and the man behind the counter cooks a lovely piece of fish.

I ate here again a year after I last visited. Yes it's cheap but the portions are small. I counted 15 chips on the plate and the fish was kind of size you'd give to a child. Take away costs £0.20 less but you get more in the tray.

Jumbo cod and chips were just not good. The batter was quite crispy on the top but the bottom was so greasy and went soggy, the chips weren't fluffy just hard as if they had been cooked ages, the mushy peas were about the best thing on the plate, I ordered a side of curry sauce and it barely stuck to the chips it was that watery. Price wise it was cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.

I went to Tower fisheries a few weeks ago cos I saw on the Internet that it was the cheapest place to have fish and chips and it was staff wetecreally nice I enjoyed the food and will definitely return again.

Have used this shop for 5 years always been good but today I had fish chips and peas to take away when I got home most of the chips were nowhere near cooked they were still raw so had to be excluded from my meal wasn't happy.

Some of the chips were not cooked. Taste was nice and big thick cut chips. Fair portion size for regular chips but rare to find a chippy with some not cooked.

Had the 3 course dinner. Soup, fish chips and peas and ice cream to finish. Excellent value. Really pleasant and friendly staff.

Saw this advertised on Facebook by Lancashire Live as having the cheapest fish and chips in Lancashire so had to check it out. I don't know if it is the cheapest so judge for yourselves. Fish chips mushy peas bread and butter and a cup of tea £6.50 absolute bargain and very tasty too.....would definitely recommend

I had my tea there yesterday evening. And it was well worth the visit. I had haddock, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a lovely mug of tea. Everything was freshly cooked to order and perfection. There were nothing that you could fault with this place. It would put other places else in the area to shame.
