The food is always quite good however always long lines and not a lot of places to sit.

The ingredients are fresh and the serving sizes are large. The flavor profile aren't very distinct, but I enjoyed my rice bowl

Staff were very attentive and explained the ordering process well as it has been a while since I've been. Good food and the vibe from the music and lighting was great.

Came here for the first time the other day. Was ordering my food and one staff in particular was so rude (didn’t catch her name but she was a white girl with brunette hair, probably the one with the moodiest look on her face). She was so rude, made a snarky comment because i didn’t hear when she asked which salsa i wanted.. her snarky comment took me a back i literally had to step back and say she needed to chill out, it was so uncalled for. I was ordering my food while not really being able to hear what she was saying. she had such a moody look on her face and was speaking so quietly considering the noise levels inside. then she butted in when the other guy was serving me and was trying to respond to me. then she kept giving me a death stare as i was waiting. plus she gave me the tiniest serving of guac for an extra £1.30. i’m all for people being allowed to hate their job or have a bad day but don’t be making snarky comments at customers when all i asked for was some corn on my bowl 😂

Food is very tasty and authentic. It's counter service, a bit like Subway because you customise your order and request your chosen fillings, flavours, sauces etc. Great value for money and a casual, fun vibe.

Rude staff. I am not very well speaking English but I am client. I come here to want to eat something. No needed humiliation and unhappy responses. If you don like your job, you dont work anymore.

Over 2 hours sitting on “preparing order” for 1 burrito and then randomly marked as delivered???? Restaurant phone straight to voicemail the whole time. Ridiculous.

Recently the chorizo has been 50% charcoal which you have to pick out or endure and is really disappointing. I usually love Tortilla and hope to be back with a better review soon.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We just had the best burrito and nachos from Burritos, and I can't stop raving about it! The flavours were spot on, with every bite packed full of delicious ingredients. But the real highlight? The guacamole! It was incredibly fresh, creamy, and bursting with flavour – the perfect accompaniment to both the burrito and nachos. The service was also fantastic, with friendly staff who made the experience even better. If you're in the mood for a top-notch burrito, look no further. We'll definitely be coming back!

Bit stingy on the meat but really tasty nonetheless

Burrito ok, but nothing more. It can be used for a quick meal given the reduced price, but it remains a shopping center fast food restaurant.

Really tasty but sad portions. Paid £10.70 for 3 small tacos and a small dish of chips. Taco Bell cheaper and tastier! Also was cold :( but the team are very nice. Just too expensive for what you get and the vibe.

My favorite place. The quality of the food is unbelievable. It is very delicious. I have been there a lot. I highly recommend it if you like Mexican food.

The meal was all delicious the only downside was the chips were a bit too salty.

The food was good but ive visited other locations the chain owns and this location is very tightfisted with portions. Given the Price and that i had specifically ordered a large i expect a sizeable helping of meat and beans but this location failed to provide that whilst others in the chain have. Also despite ordering to sit in i wasnt provide with a plastic basket and tray to eat , unlike the other location i had visited before. Its a Real shame cause the food is delicious and really unique.

very disappointed we ordered food at 1:31pm and it finally arrived 3:16pm, I feel that wait was unacceptable and when I tried to complain on app I was redirected to the time, and couldn't actually complain. never ordering from here again.

I was disappointed with my experience here. The food was not good, with hardly any chicken in my open burrito. A small spoon of guacamole, which you have to pay extra for was served very stingily. After paying for the large open burrito, you’d expected to be full, but it was not satisfying at all, especially considering the price.

I had the medium G.O.A.T. burrito, which was delicious. The staff displayed some seriously impressive burrito folding skills because the thing was PACKED. 🫡

Cold food and missing something from order.. shame as the food is tasty but not worth ordering if you want hassle free option picking a take away.

Good good. Portion size could be better

Ordered quesadilla twice - Hammersmith then Putney, few months apart - both times soggy like it'd been through the washing machine. Why..? It's not rocket science - just stick it on a fry pan til crisp, for goodness sake. Quesadilla had always been a fav during my California years - thanks Tortilla UK for ruining them for me.

I ordered a Tortilla for delivery. My order was wrong as it contained no rice, the burrito bowl was filled with water (see photo), and despite being told it would take 30 minutes, it arrived 3 hours later. Absolutely not worth £16.25 that’s for sure! Save your money and go elsewhere.

It is one of the worst tortilla restaurants. 1. the food was bad, it was prepared without love. They didn't even ask us for a sauce. But when I asked for it, the person at the counter put VERY VERY little on it so that you couldn't even taste it. What's more, you couldn't even understand them at the counter. The burrito was very dry. In general, they were very unfriendly when ordering food and didn't even know their menu by heart. 2. they ignored every customer who came into the restaurant. The waitresses didn't ask customers what they wanted, even though there was no one there. They also ignored us. On the whole, in our opinion, it was bad.

Never opened in time, should change your working hours

I placed an order at 6pm. It is now 8:15 and my order has been changed to delivered - which it definitely has not been!

Really delicious food let down by the bad customer service. A really busy spell with workers sitting about on their phones. 2 servers being left to deal with the rush, they are not to be faulted. Awful manners from the members sitting down. What could have been a lovely lunch turned sour due to the appalling attitude of certain individuals.

Not really a Mexican restaurant... more like a Chipotle in the USA. Preparer shames you in up selling for meat and avocados. Food is average, mostly rice in the burrito.

I could accept no guacamole or churros in a tortilla/burrito bar if the staff could tell me with good grace. Shocked at the rudeness of 2 of the staff here, sneering, laughing and no manners at all. Despite the food being good I will never eat here again.

If you are a person of colour then I would recommend skipping this place altogether. Having been to Mexico three times, I never faced such issues. People at the counter were judging me by the colour of my skin. The girl at the counter asked me ‘have you been here before’, we take only cards. I don’t know how she came to this conclusion that I am not capable of dining in there. I ate there as I was hungry but wouldn’t go there again. Simply because, I am proud of my ethnicity and don’t want to give business to people who are racists. I wasn’t expecting this in Scotland at least!!!

I’m from Texas, but live in Scotland now. The food here is the best and closest to TexMex/CaliMex I’ve had since moving here 3 years ago. The tacos are amazing!!

the delivery time was normal but it come soggy, just warm and fell apart. I'm not sure If you're making the food and leaving it sitting for ages for the delivery driver or how you package it for the delivery, but it was really spoiled what I received as a customer, literally was just a mess

Personally, its over priced, not worth it and staff are not generous with the ingredients. £9 baseline for a burrito, then an extra £1 for beef (not extra meat but just extra charge for beef over chicken) and then extra £1 for Guac (it was barely a teaspoonful) plus an extra £1 for some watery cheese sauce (literally so watery it was dripping out of the 5 layers of tinfoil it was wrapped in). Overall price and quantity does not add up and then you throw in the fact its just average tasting, 2nd time trying it and wont be going back again.

I popped in on Saturday 27th on my lunch hour. The girls at the counter were being verbally abused and harassed by a man of about 60! He was completely out of order very loud and aggressive. the poor staff we keeping calm but were visibly upset, there were also some children in the queue who were understandably very upset by the abusive behaviour of the man. I just want to praise the staff, they were amazing, very calm, polite and kept there composure. No one should have to put up with that. The St James security took an age to attend the incident and missed the whole event.

Love the burrito! The salsa roja was so spicy but so delicious! The chicken is halal.

STAFF THERE INCREDIBLE! so sweet, my sister lost her important claddagh ring there and went back to check, we couldn’t find it so we asked a staff member, Vincent, he was a god-send, during rush hour Vincent raked through the bins twice and luckily found it. Thank you Vincent!

Delivery time kept getting pushed back

Very friendly service , but the food is really poor. For example: you can break a tooth on a dried-out, very hard rice. Plus the price is way too high, in my opinion. I do not recommend.

arrived on time and hot. ate half of burrito then was really put off by some exceptionally dark pieces of chicken. I understand thigh meat is dark meat but these were very dark and stringy. all in all really good until discovered the pieces of chicken as described unfortunately which out me off eating any more.

Love ordering from here, but when only half my order turned up their only solution was to tell me to apply for a refund. No attempt to remake and send my missing food, just an admission of fault and an apology from supervisor and staff. The food is great, but the customer service was dire.

We were given a completely different order to what we ordered which ruined our dinner time. We order regularly from tortilla and have not had major issues like this, however very disappointed this time as kids were not able to enjoy dinner they were craving!

Came in with my date and were greeted with extremely friendly staff who helped us decide what to get. Eimear stood out with her smile and made sure to let us know of any allergies in the churros and Kirsty provided us with all the options of sauces to flavour our burritos and gave us a good joke that made us smile and giggle. Over all great experience thanks to the helpful and friendly staff

Ordered the bowl but was given a burrito. The chips were all smashed up aswell. Can of coke was placed in the same bag with warm food

I believe the best Mexican fast food place in the Burgh. Prices are good, service is fast and a nice place to hang. Could do without all the little extra ditties. But such is the food world now. Next they'll be charging for the air you breath. Anyhoo. Recommended.

Charge £1.30 for a tiny spoonful of quac and basically anything you want in your burrito you pay extra for. Basically only rice and wrap are included 😂

Went there for a lunch out with some friends and there was nothing to complain about, food was great and affordable and Lucy, one of the workers there, was very kind and helpful, 10/10 would definitely go again.

Came to tortilla for a bite to eat after shopping all day, the food was amazing and the service was even better!! Lucy was fantastic, she provided explanations to allergens for all ingredients (I have a gluten allergy) and had a smile whilst doing so! If in Edinburgh I would definitely recommend!!

Came in for my lunch during my break, was served by Sami, she needs to listen to what the customer actually asks for. I specified for a medium beef bowl and she kept getting the order wrong, and then put a medium wrap in to get heated then I stopped and said medium beef bowl again and she gave me a bad attitude and a rude look. Throughout answering questioning relating to my order I never rushed her, her attitude and service was appalling and disgusting. If you aren’t happy with your job, leave!

We got a burrito combo with corn ribs & naked burrito combo with queso fundido & tortilla chips. Both medium & was a lot of food. Tasted great & friendly service.

The food is delicious, the employees are really polite. My only issue is that some of the seats are too high with tables that are too low.

Seriously delish! I’ve been to other Tortilla locations and this one is the best in my opinion. They are generous with servings and the food is so fresh and tasty. Lovely area to sit in and eat as well, staff are super friendly and helpful. Also the vegan chilli is so good, I come back anytime I’m in the area

It has a very rich flavor. I'm Mexican and the flavor is very similar to what I'm used to: beans, rice and the sauce (if it's spicy). Vincent's attention was very good, he helped us explain the menu step by step. I will return on my next visit to Edinburgh

Food arrives cold & portion size is rip off for £11

Came in for food after a day of shopping with a friend in st James and had a GREAT time!! My burrito was amazing and I was surprised by the amount of ingredients to choose from! The service working was really kind with us as well, specially Rita, who served us with such positive energy :)
