Torridon Stores & Cafe in Highland

A great little shop and cafe. Great atmosphere. Very lovely ladies working there. The latte was delicious. Will definately be back for another visit!

Average food and drinks available at café. Nothing specifically Gluten Free but ordered a Jacket Potato (not convinced was GF). Good little shop with range of food / snacks / camping items.

This is a fab cafe in a superb location. Sit and enjoy coffee and cake inside or out with a view of the loch. The coffee cake is to die for! The breakfast was good too. We spent 5 days in the area and visited the cafe everyday as that good. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Great value. Highly recommend and will always return. Thank you

Stopped here for 2 coffee and a cake. Came back 5 mins later after getting my lap top to fill out a form...got told in had to buy something I said I was just here a few minutes ago having coffee and cake..was then told "this is not an internet cafe" (they already charge £1 for plugging in devices). I said I am not happy with your attitude and left to be told again "this is not an internet cafe". Its a shame as its a lovely spot and i try to support small community ventures but with such poor attitudes these places will die.

This cafe in the community centre is perfectly set up to make the most of the fantastic views across Loch Torridon. We had toasted sandwiches and hot drinks and it was very nice.

This was a great (and welcomed) find on our NC500 road trip. The staff were very pleasant, the food was excellent and the location beat it all. If you stop here for refreshments or to stock up on your groceries, consider going further along the road to Lower Diabeg. It’s not a road for the faint hearted, but when to do get there, stunning does not begin to describe it !!

Would have loved to leave a proper review. Looks like a lovely wee place in a spectacular setting. However, website says open 10:00 till 17:00 in winter. Stopped by at 15:10 for a coffee and supplies. Seems they have changed their hours to 10:00 till 15:00. Fair enough but given how few shops are around, it would be helpful if their own website was accurate.

We stumbled across the store on a walk & were so pleased for a well made coffee. Such lovely, friendly staff despite the shop being rammed with NYE visitors. The blonde lady behind the counter remained so calm & apologised to everyone for the wait. We were happy to wait as could see she was working so hard. Beautiful local cards on sale so I bought a selection. It was lovely & warm with the log burner going and a joy to see something like this in a small community.

We stopped for a bite to eat and what a find! The soup and cheese scone were sublime and the hot chocolate with all the trimmings kept us warm on a very cold day. The staff were very nice and helpful and it was just perfect for a pit stop on our way round the highlands

My partner and I stayed a few doors down at an air bnb cottage and visited the cafe and the shop a few times. On entering each time we were made to feel welcome by friendly staff. The shop is stocked with a good selection of necessities. The cafe was lovely and cosy with a log burning fire lit, the views out to the loch were spectacular. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. We both thought the breakfast rolls were the best we have ever had! We can’t wait to visit again!

What a lovely place to stop for a sandwich or a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee. We were lucky that it was sunny so we sat outside but when the clouds came over the sun we were invited by the friendly staff to come inside. A special mention for the haggis melt which was apparently delicious.

Looks great. Coffee great. Food poor. Ordered salmon and scrambled eggs with toast. Received what appeared to be one scrambled egg, half a slice of smoked salmon and one piece of burnt toast slammed down on the table by a very grumpy lady from the kitchen. £9 for a minuscule portion! Have coffee here but don't waste your money on a meal!

My wife and I decided to travel away from Gailoch to find a decent breakfast and we had heard that the Torridon Cafe was a decent place to eat.We duly travelled for a far to reach this venue - we were not disappointed.The service was excellent and extremely friendly however the service was outshone by the bacon rolls. Excellent bread rolls and excellent tasty bacon.We have just rebooked another holiday in the Western Highland for October and we WILL be going back here for at least one breakfast.

A really excellent cafe always the same high standard, spotlessly clean and with super friendly staff and owner, you won’t be disappointed the views from the windows and outside seating area are gold standard too . Well worth a visit

Stopped for some food to take out while visiting Torridon with my family. The staff were very friendly and spent time chatting to us about our trip while we were waiting. They recommended some local places for us to visit while we were in the area and we were so glad that they did! I had a haggis melt and my wife had a bacon batch and both were very tasty. Will definitely go back next time we visit the area.

We had coffee and cake here when staying at the Estate along the road. The coffee & walnut cake was the best I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good we went back the next morning for breakfast and my girlfriend said the black pudding roll was the best she’d ever had in her life. So if you want the best things you’ve ever had in your life, then this is the place for you!

This gorgeous village shop and cafe is a perfect place to re-fuel after a day in the hills or on the NC500. The general store is well stocked and the cafe is lovely and homely with friendly local staff and delicious home baked cakes. I would drive the 500 miles from my home to get there for another slice of Christmas Tiffin! Amazing views across the village to Loch Torridon beyond. A perfect spot.

Came here in early January after a hike and appreciated the friendly service, the warm restaurant and cozy fire, and the friendly service. Carrot and coconut soup with cheese scone and homemade shortbread cookies all very delicious

If it's a wet day outside, or if you've just finished a long walk in the fabulous Torridon hills, this is the place for you! Excellent home baking, good coffee and a friendly welcome is all there; plus a well-stocked shop with an excellent range of food, wines and other supplies. If only every shop was as rewarding as the Torridon Stores!

What a great place to stop for a light lunch. It overlooks Loch Torridon with stunning views. It was quite busy, so it seems to be a popular spot. Certainly, we had no complaints with the soup and sandwich. Both were very tasty and freshly prepared.

Brilliant friendly service with delicious sandwiches and cakes - plus great artwork for sale and a big range of really useful daily essentials and bits of kit too. Gorgeous loch-side location to boot.

Stopped in for some lunch on a very wet and windy August day. It was busy but we got a seat ok. Had homemade soup and the speciality haggis and cheese toastie. Both highly recommended. Brilliant and friendly service.

Jo is an excellent host and delivers very tasty and delicious food, well priced. Coffee is exceptionally good.

My wife and I were based in Torridon last week supervising DofE expeditions. We were lucky enough to visit the cafe 4 times in the week. They have the best crispy bacon and fried egg in the world. They also have a grocery store for essentials. They have lovely cakes as well. If you are in the area you must call in.

In the centre of Torridon is what appears to be a General Store but it is much more than that - it is a cafe with the most welcoming and friendly staff. We ordered a delicious home made soup which was served unbelievably quickly with a freshly made cheese scone. We also had haggis and egg sandwich and black pudding and egg sandwich- both quite delicious. The carrot cake which we shared was to die for.

I had possibly the best bacon roll i’ve ever had in this wee Cafe. It’s tastefully decorated with outstanding views on the hills and Loch.

We never miss a trip to Jo's café. Always busy, a good atmosphere, good scones and usually some nice homemade cakes. Just sitting looking out on Loch Torridon and being in the attractive wee village , feels perfect. Very reasonably priced too.

After a ‘bracing’ walk in Torridon to see some amazing views and waterfalls we stopped here for lunch. The homemade vegetable soup was yummy as was the lush cakes we had to satisfy our ‘sugar’ fix afterwards. This lovely little shop/cafe has an Allandin’s cave of goodies to choose from should you need any provisions & very friendly and knowledgeable staff who made us feel very welcomed.

I always stop in here when I'm biking around the Torridon hills. You always get the same cheery welcome, and you always get the same quality of food and coffee. It is very easy to make a bad bacon roll, but it is much harder to make one as good as they produce for me here every single time. Ask them to put haggis on it if you want the full experience. And don't just order one, because it wont be enough. This cafe is just another thing about Torridon that makes me never want to leave.

Torridon general store is a great little stop right by the road. There are a few tables out of doors as well as inside. The shop has a good selection of gifts, sundries and necessities. It also has the very critical coffee, cakes and ice cream food groups. Everyone friendly and helpful, good service.

We spent a week in Torridon and were in the cafe at least once per day. All the food was amazing (try the scones and all the cakes!), and the coffee was fantastic--really fantastic. Best of all were the people. Cafe staff were always friendly, helpful, and really went the extra mile to ensure we had a great vacation. One evening, after we had blown a tire on our rental, one of them stopped by after she closed the cafe just to make sure we were ok! We were blown away by this kindness. The cafe and shop (and all their staff) were a big reason why we had such a great time in Torridon.

Man fühlt sich in Fasag (ein Teil von Torridon) am Ufer des Upper Loch Torridon ein bisschen wie am Ende der Welt. Um so schöner, dass es dort auch noch ein Café gibt!

We visited Loch Torridon one afternoon on the way back to where we were staying. The drive to it is quite long and narrow in places but there are plenty of passing places. We had heard from a friend about the cafe so made a beeline for there. We weren't disappointed, the cakes were lovely and service very friendly. There was a good atmosphere about the place with both locals and tourists using the cafe and stores.

The well stocked store with friendly service is only a short walk for the Youth Hostel in the village of Torridon. Also does teas, coffees and snacks so is useful as a meeting place for friends staying in the area.

Tombés par hasard sur ce "restaurant/épicerie/café" alors que nous avions faim, nous avons tentés sans grande conviction et on a été chanceux: des plats simples, bons (rolls au haggis et oeuf!!), fait maisons (les soupes sont très bonnes).... Les prix sont tout à fait décents, le service est agréable et souriant (parle un peu le français) et la vue, dehors, est très jolie.

We were on the lookout for a store to purchase some last minute dairy items before heading to our holiday rental. We were directed to the Torridon Store and Cafe. Whilst we got the items we were after, the stock was somewhat limited and the staff seemed more keen to deal with the cafe customers.

Visited the cafe/shop for breakfast after climbing hills in the area the day before. Great atmosphere, cracking mocha & Americans and my bacon an egg roll was just what I needed!

Stopped for a coffee to replan as the weather had changed. One step inside and we had decided to have bacon rolls and a scone. The food was wonderful well cooked and delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. A lovely stop with a beautiful view.

A lovely setting by the sea shore, with a good choice of food and drinks at lunchtime, or just coffee and cake. Service great and I was impressed that when a French party turned up my waitress switched to fluent French.

When I last came here many years ago there was nothing here. Now there is a lovely cafe with an award wining chef along with a super little store selling a great range of local produce and a far better selection than your average Spar shop typical of this area. Local arts and crafts also on sale. Friendly welcome and great service

Wir wären fast vorbei gewesen weil wir erst nur General Store gelesen hatten. Doch darin verbirgt sich ein nettes Cafe mit sehr freundlichen Menschen und einem guten Service. Wir hatten Kaffee, Kuchen, die Tagessuppe und Sandwich und alles war super. Wer auf der Durchreise ist und Hunger hat, sollte auf jeden Fall stoppen :-)

In a stunning location overlooking Loch Torridon, the Torridon stores and cafe provides an excellent selection of teas, coffees and superb home baking together with delightful and original lunch menus. A very busy and popular cafe and shop and deserves to be.

Stopped for cake and tea, very tasty, great value for money. Store had lots of useful groceries and also sold high quality midge nets and repellent at very reasonable prices.

We happened upon this place during our North Coast 500 trip. Very friendly, with fantastic views, serving excellent teas and coffees. The place also serves as a shop, which is convenient if you want to re-stock.

Stooped here to get warm and have a quick drink, then we decided to eat, the Haggis and egg role, filled me to the brim, what a quaint place - lovely.

We found this little gem of a café by chance not thinking there would be anywhere open in the tiny village. As soon as we walked in we were met with a very warm and friendly welcome, the staff were all extremely helpful. We opted for the home made soup which was absolutely delicious, with a big chunk of lovely fresh granary bread. We had hot chocolate drinks but managed to turn down the delicious looking cakes on offer. We will definitely be returning when we next visit this most beautiful part of the Scottish highlands.

We drank a lot of bad coffee on our Scotland trip and the store was a very welcome change. Possibly the best coffee we had! The people are very friendly and everything we ordered including soup and cakes were very nice. Great little spot.

Having visited the nearby countryside centre and during a subsequent unplanned short walk we happened upon this little gem.

Nous avons fait une pause dessert / goûter dans cet endroit. Nous étions derrière la baie vitrée avec vu sur la mer. Plusieurs choix de gâteaux faits maison vraiment bons. Le café était très bien. Nous étions vraiment bien. Le lieu a l'air d'être connu car il n'y avait que peu de places disponibles et du monde a attendu derrière nous ! Petite boutique d'alimentation et divers. Merci pour cette pause !
