Fantastic gluten free sweet & sour chicken, veggie tofu dishes. Really liked the fried broccoli too. Best Chinese Takeaway I have had in years.

Birthday meal with friends. The food was delicious and plentiful. The fried aubergine is a must and I sampled my friends. I ordered squid which needed a sauce but cooked to perfection. My duck chowmein was a nest of flavours. Great venue. Definitely returning.

I went for a birthday meal, food was good, service excellent, very little atmosphere. I was disappointed that the salt and pepper chips were frozen, and it isn't hard to make proper chips.😭

Perhaps needs to follow the modern system of the buffet style meals.

Went out of their way to look after us, especially our wheelchair bound mum. Great choice of food

I went there the other day it was amazing, food was lovely and the staff are so polite. It’s super nice inside and the toilets are immaculate. I would recommend.

Lovely place for a family gathering what ever the age range. Attentive staff, well prepared food a great wine list and is very clean through out.

Well situated in town. One of the best Chinese Restaurants I have ever visited. Great menu at decent prices. The bill was reasonable . The food was very good quality too.

Had Spare Ribs plus singapore fried rice plus char sui pork and thought it was very nice. One piece was a bit chewy but otherwise great.

My order was Mixed Veg with Tofu which on comparison to the numerous others I've tried was rather poor. The dish was dominated by a rich sweet sauce which wasn't pleasant. Any subtle tastes were dwarfed by this.

Tried Tops as a takeaway for the first time as heard good things. The food was delicious: fresh and tasty. 💯 recommend

Went to Tops to celebrate daughter's birthday had a very good meal, decent size potions, well cooked and the staff were very pleasant and efficient, would definitely visit again and recommend to others

Full price food, but some of the chicken dishes are less than expected. The sweetcorn soup was very good. The service and atmosphere were really good. Excellent service, nice music.

Happy gathering last night. Table for 8. Lovely meal. Special chow mien has everything in it. It’s pretty good actually. My favourite dish r mushroom chicken and lemon chicken. Chips are beautiful, big and fat ones. They r lovely with the sweet and sour sauce. I dip my chips in the sauce. Plum duck is nice. Gong bao chicken is amazing, sweet and spicy. I also like Sichuan beef. Lovey meal. Would highly recommend.

A bit of a mixed review. Four of us dined here after a friend recommended the restaurant. Overall we were disappointed. Service and surroundings were lovely. The menu threw us, it lacked some of the usual dishes served in Chinese restaurants. My husband had to ask and they did make him his requested dish. I chose from the meru, chicken with ginger and spring onion, my food had a perfumed taste. Price was just under £100 for 4 people this included a main course and a drink each. Overall this restaurant is nothing to write home about.

OK.but no atmosphere .waiters were very attentive. It was a weekday So could be different at weekend

One of he best Chinese restaurants and take aways in Scarborough. A bit more expensive than others, but once you've treated it you understand why - quality that is worth paying for.

Came here on day two of a work trip. Food and service were excellent however the restaurant was very loud because of a few rowdy tables - not one for a quiet romantic meal!

Very friendly staff, nothing was too much for them, and they were sweet with the little ones. The food was great, excellent portion sizes and good range of choices on the menu.

Had a family meal last weekend for 20 people. Great service good price and wonderful food. Just one braw back they separated the party in half so it disrupted the restaurant q bit with us moving around to talk to each other. Not great fir the other dinners but overall great. Thanks

On holiday in Scarborough for the weekend and thought we would try this chinese as wasn't far from our digs. Wanted a quiet night catching up with each other and food and drink. Was seated next to a group of about 6 couples. They got louder and louder as the night went on swearing and cursing and even taking the mick out of the waiter....who looked like the manager. Told this same waiter as we left we where leaving because it was too loud. No apology no nothing. Food was average and the bad language and leaving with a headache ruined our date night.

Well - we had a really great evening here, we decided on the set menu for 2 people, not the cheapest Chinese meal, coming in at £25 per head but it was a good choice - the food is excellent and beautifully presented, staff were attentative but not intrusive, I picked-up on the care taken with regards cleanliness also (staff using hand gel constantly after each & every serving). I shall definitely be returning, it was a most enjoyable evening.

Having spent 15 years travelling the country in sales and visited plenty of food establishments on my trips, I have to say this has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever visited. Its the quality of the ingredients that set it apart from all of the others. They do a sharing meal for two which is fantastic value and as mentioned amazing quality. Glad I don't live in Scarborough or I would be there every week.

Excellent food and service. Great first impression, very clean, every table had hand sanitisers. Good atmosphere, nicely decorative without being over the top. The food is very well presented and the experience continues with the great taste. The staff are very welcoming and keen to help.

Really nice restaurant and food but lacking on the service. Long waits between orders and orders arriving at different times, very obviously understaffed as waiters have no time to engage with customers.

The food was really very very good best Chinese I've had in a very long and probably the best in Scarborough. However, it is quite pricey but I would say worth it. Beautifully presented with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The deep fried brocoli is something else ❤️ service very good too it was very busy and they attentive

Portion size for how much was disappointing, plus mains don't come with chips/rice as standard, £3 for chips 🤦‍♂️ ontop of a £11 meal, found was okay aswell.

Food was very tasty, presented beautifully in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Staff were great. Can I also point out this is not your average chinese. It is probably the best chinese I have had. The portion size is good. Above average prices but you pay for what you get. Would definitely return .

An amazing design of this special restaurant interior makes it a unique dinning place. Food we had in The TOPS was absolutely superb. Their staff is reacting to a perfect level of descret attention given to guests, so you get a feeling of well taken care of, but not overwhelmed or crowded by them. The TOPS is definitely a restaurant where my wife and me will come back with our son. Our tops TOPS recommendations. WOW !!! and thank you for an amazing evening!

Lovely place to eat and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You can even change set platters for your own choice. Lovely and friendly and the food is always piping hot and full of flavour
