1 word to describe the lunch we have just eaten ... STUNNING.

We booked well in advance and were seated promptly upon arrival. The chicken wings were really nice but quite vinegary, possibly the type of hot sauce they use but they're great with the dip. Arancini's are also excellent! Mains we got a chicken burger which was a HUGE portion, it did us for lunch the next day which was good. Also got the wagyu burger and it was delicious with pepper sauce and chips. Point of critique would really only be the fact that they might need more staff as with so many birthdays in one night, service was quite slow because they were obviously being overwhelmed with orders all at once, Which meant our table and the table beside us weren't really attended to but we don't blame the staff at all. An extra server roaming around dealing with everyone else would have been great.

Wonderful place! Good service, delicious cuisine (they offer all types of meals, lasagna, burgers, ribs and chicken wings, you name it, I totally suggest it!). There is a large covered 🍻garden. The staff observes all necessary measures. I am satisfied and I recommend! I would come again for sure! And really nice pizza 🍕🍕🍕

Didn't have food just a few drinks. This place looks like it would be fun for a night out. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it looked well.

The food is nothing special and can be found in many places, but what disappoints me the most is the waiters. They never smile, just like they want us to leave quickly, interrupting their get off work.

Great food and bar area that is separate from the main bar area. The atmosphere is really nice and would definitely recommend a visit for some lunch. I had the honey chilli chicken and would take it again in a heartbeat.

Very well cooked filet steak and scallops. Onions were first class as was the pepper sauce. Service very friendly and location relaxed.

Excellent burger/chicken/nachos style restaurant with plenty of parking. A full gluten-free menu, which was also delicious and served beautifully and quickly. Highly recommended.

Randomly found this place when I was trying to turn the car around and was so hapily found the place. Food was great: I got chicken strips, fish & chips for the wife, and bolognese pasta. We all enjoyed our dishes, portion is large. Lovely atmotsphere.

Had a really lovely meal here on a weekday night. The place was busy and had a great atmosphere, the staff were delightful and the food…. I have never had peanut butter on a burger before, but it was stunning. I will be buying a new jar of peanut butter and trying this at home, too! Great place, highly recommended.

Waited at the bar for 20minutes, bartender served 5 people before us that came after us. Very disappointed, first time out in Antrim. Will not go back again for the service.

A las 19:30 nos fuimos para Antrim a cenar, no nos convencía ninguno de los sitios, hasta que dimos a la entrada con Top Of The Town. No había sitio sin reserva, la gente ya estaba en plan salir de marcha. Nos dijeron que en la terraza cubierta podimos comer platos combinados. Pides en la barra y pagas, luego te lo llevan a la mesa. Pedimos nachos, alitas picantes y ensalada César, con dos pintas (40,60 libras). Todo estaba rico.

This was a fantastic lunch stop on our road trip through Northern Ireland! The food was delicious, large portions, and reasonable priced. It’s a cute space and they have plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

Phoned before arrival to check that it was ok to come for food and sit in the garden with a dog. The girl told us to come on down. When we got there we were greeted by a very rude member of staff with ginger hair. He turned us away and told us we weren't aloud in with the dog. I understand that not everywhere is dog friendly but to be told on the phone to come on down and travel from newtownabbey to Antrim to be turned away and embarrassed in front of others is horrible. Will not be back and would not recommend!! ..Not to mention I visited their food truck “made in Antrim”. Stood in a que for an hour and a half to also be turned away because “it was too busy!” Absolutely terrible customer service from both restaurants. Will not be back!!!!!!!!!!

Had lunch here on Sunday with family. Never been in a restaurant when they showed more interest in football than serving food.

Excellent food, delivered hot and family loved it. Best Sunday dinner delivery in Antrim area. Turkey and ham was moist, tasty fresh gravy, crunch hot veg, crispy roasties. Plus great gluten free options on the menu (the gluten free burger with gluten free seeded bun is excellent and the sauces and sides are gluten free). I wouldn't look anywhere else for a family meal.

Having had friends who have been here lots of times we decided to visit when up this way. So glad we did it was better than expected. Really friendly serving staff in the restaurant. Food was hot and delicious.the menu choice was very good. Kids menu had alot of choice and with two young children this is exactly what we needed. The price of the food was so reasonable. They are taking the covid rescriions and procedures very seriously unlike other establishments. Will be sure to visit again if ever in the area.

As far as first impressions go, as a first time customer, I'm pretty certain the proprietor of Top of The Town would be disappointed to hear ours was terrible.I just felt that given everyone works hard all week; we look forward to a treat when out spending our hard earned money. I felt like I was severely restricted and being dictated to on how I could spend my own money?!I am so irritated by our disappointing visit that opening the laptop to write this review has been the first thing I have done when returning home – not an ideal Sunday evening!!Being upfront usually on a Sunday outing we always eat locally around the North Coast or at The Grouse, Ballymena and following our first experience at ToTT today this will remain the same for the foreseeable. My partner and I both follow the Top of The Town on social media accounts and pictures of the Sunday roast lured us to travel further up the motorway from the North Coast to try it as first time customers. Three times I tried calling the number on the Facebook account to reserve a table and three times it was directed through to voicemail – this should have been a sign not to proceed further, but we did. Arriving at the door the staff member said indoors was fully booked but we could eat in the beer garden, this was fine by us as we brought our coats and had seen pictures online and we’re excited to see the venue and the new outdoor area built.On arrival we were given The Smokehouse menu, I asked the staff member about the classic menu and she said we could not order that food in the outdoor area. I knew this was inaccurate as I had seen a post on ToTT Facebook page advertising the beer garden which stated ‘Beer Garden Days - The Smokehouse & Classic menu served until 9pm’. Confused at the thought of not being able to order a roast in the same establishment, I asked another member of staff for the classic menu which he then brought to the table. We deliberated over the menus, my partner swayed by the Smokehouse option and I was sure I wanted the roast as that is why we had made the additional journey in miles to dine there.The waitress came to take our order, and then proceeded to say we could not order from two different menus. I said to her this made absolutely no sense to me given we had come through the front door of Top of The Town, all staff were wearing ToTT uniforms – so why was our order being treated like we were in a different establishment? This was so irritating as we had already ordered our drinks and encountered three members of staff before we ordered our food and not one mentioned that we would be restricted on what we could order by sitting outside. If I had known this from entry, I probably wouldn’t have stayed. She went on to say “I can’t really explain why that is, it’s just you would have to pay on two separate bills so that’s why you HAVE to order from the same Smokehouse menu out here”.I’m sorry... but as a paying customer, I cannot understand how I do not have the freedom to choose my own choice of meal in an establishment when I am the one paying? I felt that I was entirely under duress to order something I did not want from the Smokehouse menu – I really feel as customer this should not be my concern how money is sorted or divided at the end of the night. I felt pressured by the waitress that my partner and I had to decide who would make the sacrifice between us both on what menu we would eat from, I was all very uncomfortable and awkward. Surely you can understand that everyone has different preferences when eating out?? She did not give me the option of walking 10 steps into the main building to pay for a roast, which I would have done just to be able to eat what I travelled there to have. To make it worse, a couple sitting outside to our right were eating roast dinners…what is the difference? If my partner and I had of been at separate tables – does this mean we could have both ordered what we wanted?On the spot, I ordered chargrilled chicken with cajun rice from The Smokehouse menu – the rice was extremely bland and we both compared it to the golden vegetable Uncle Ben’s packets you can get in the supermarket. There was no flavour and nothing I would describe about it as being cajun. In our combo we could have a side and sauce…the two sauces of option were gravy and pepper sauce. I asked was it possible to have a dip instead which were listed as taco/cajun options which made more sense to compliment the dish than gravy. The waitress told us no, it was only pepper sauce or gravy – so my partner and I ate gravy with cajun rice - a really bizarre combination of flavours, something I would not recommend to anyone nor something I would want to combine again.It felt like a very average meal lacking flavour, similar to the boring chicken and rice combo that everyone eats all week in work. It was just so disappointing – I spent my entire time in Top of The Town feeling irritated that this was our Sunday treat out ruined as it seemed to be one thing after the other. I ordered a half pint, the waitress brought a pint. She told us we had to pay upfront for the bill and we would get 25% off – once paid we asked her did that bill include our drinks to which she said no. When I added our two meals together, it calculated that she did not take 25% off – so we called her back again to ask why we hadn’t received the discount she mentioned. Then on returning again, she told us that the bill did in fact include our drinks. We spent most of our visit talking to her than we did each other.Does keeping the customer happy not mean anything anymore? I felt the waitress’s communication was so poor; she could sense my disappointment but did not try to find any solution to help. Given the looming recession due to the pandemic, so many businesses are battling to survive and remain open. And with competition being so high, many restaurants are going over and above to please and I felt I had much higher expectations for our visit. Good service is a basic fundamental to a successful business; customers know what good service is now and expect it when spending. I honestly feel that I would not return or recommend to anyone I know.It was so disappointing as I felt that there was an obvious, easy solution to turn our experience around and it was not offered. Basically in the same building you need to either sit separate or sit on the opposite side of the wall to eat what you want.

Top of The Town is a great bar & restaurant in Antrim Town for food, sport & entertainment. The beer garden is fantastic on any sunny day and is popular on a weekend during the football season with plenty of TV's, summer seating, enclosed booths and two bar/kitchen areas and plenty of staff buzzing around after your orders. I recommend the south west chicken wrap and although I didn't order it the honey chilli chicken looks fantastic and don't forget to get a nice cool refreshing beer to go with it.

We visited the Smoke House in September 2020. We both had great expectations of the food before we arrived as the menu looked great. On arrival the receptionist searched for our booking, finally found it, we were shown to our seats. Ordered cocktails only to be told 5 minutes later that they didn’t serve the cocktail I wanted outside!!! At this stage we noticed a lot of the servers were just hanging about trying to look busy but actually just chatting between themselves, apart from one girl who was running around doing everything (Erin - thank you, you were terrific). We ordered our food, it was not what we were expecting, it was so bland such a disappointment. When we went to pay our bill I told the waitress we had paid a £20 deposit, she said that they didn’t take deposits anymore!!! I literally had to show her my credit card statement to prove that I had. I have never been so embarrassed, really bad service. We had planned to go back the following day for lunch but went elsewhere, we will not be back.

We rang to book a table on Wednesday afternoon (9th) for that dinner time - table booked for 5.30pm. We had been here before and the food was lovely so as we had booked the week off work we decided to go back again. We arrived on time, walked in the door and a staff member who was sitting behind a table just inside the front door pointed to a table and told us that was for us. We sat down at the table which was right beside the front door in the bar area....I was on a low bar stool. Not the kind of seat you want when going to a restaurant. We received menus and made our drink and food orders. While waiting on our drinks the table behind did nothing apart from shout and swear - constantly. There was a constant queue of people arriving and leaving the restaurant standing around and walking past our table. The smell of cigarette smoke coming in the front doors was awful. After a 15min wait we still hadn’t received our drinks however the noisy table behind were able to shout over to the bar area for more drinks - which they received instantly. After a while of being cold by the door, on an uncomfortable chair, smelling smoke, listening to drunk people shouting and not receiving our drinks I decided to go up to the bar and tell the server we were just going to leave. The girl said she could move us somewhere else and seemed a bit apologetic but why did they not seat us in the actual restaurant section to begin with? I was so disappointed with the service and I understand we had left it a bit last minute to book in but if that was the only table available they either should have let us know beforehand or tell us they were fully booked.

This is a place I will not be going back to anytime soon. Lovely staff but food not great at all. Very disappointing

We prebooked our family lunch the previous day and we arrived bang on time The place was busy and so we had to wait approx 5 minutes or so before we got in and got seated .No issues with that whatsoever . After we placed our order we had a 15 or 20 min wait for the food to come but it was certainly worth the wait . We had all ordered different meals and each one was delicious . The staff were very pleasant and professional too and we will definitely be returning at our first opportunity. Highly recommend!!

Right away I want to say that our food was tasty. Nothing exceptional, but a tasty meal. However the service we received totally ruined it.We arrived for our reservation at 5:30. Noone came to take our drinks order until around 6:10 and this was only after my wife waved them over. They had clearly forgotten about us. We then placed our order, a chicken burger with side and chilli chicken with side but our wait was to go on. Our meal finally came to us at 6:50. I know it was busy due to the eat out scheme, however during this time two tables in our view sat down after us, yet they had their orders taken and food served before we received ours. Like I said, the food was tasty and I have enjoyed meals here in the past, but in the end we had a one course meal and we were at our table for almost two hours. A good place spoilt by poor service on the night.

Good portion sizes, food was delicious, fillet steak was perfectly cooked. Busy Monday evening visit with the Eat out help out deal on, Good experience all round will be back to try something else off the menu.

Went to T.O.T.T. on Tuesday afternoon. It was a bit of a celebration as it was our wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint. We had a wonderful meal, served by friendly professional staff. Everything was.... just right! We had a wonderful time, and can’t wait to go back for the evening BBQ.

Called in on 08/08/2020 without a reservation which was no problem. Seated qucikly and drink ordered and served all within 10 minutes of arriving which was very pleasing. For starters I had the Salt an Chili Chicken which was delicious, the curry sauce was a great accompaniment. I had the slow cooked beef for main and once again I could not fault it. Very generous portion size and the onion mash was delightful. Also very nice pints of Guinness which is always a bonus.

This was the third Thursday early meal at the new Smokehouse open restaurant area. The previous visits were excellent. Good service, excellent food and pleasant occasion for Grandad, Son and D in law with 3 year old.Today however sat at table, ordered drinks when arrived girl said you must pay now and prepay for your food!!Manager requested, he explained they had had walkouts - So everything had to be prepaid. I pointed out that it really was unacceptable for an 80 year old man to get the card out for drinks, then more drinks, then food, then desserts etc! Lovely food, lousy policy 0Plenty of restaurants in Antrim delighted to operate a ‘normal’ restaurant service. Reds was just as good this evening. NeitherI, nor family and friends will be smokehousing again. Seriously bad management decision?

Food is absolutely lovely plenty of it. Reasonable prices. Only down fall is some staff need take a course in manners. Not very pleaseant esp. Girl who was on lap tap at door and a customer come from garden asked wer his drink was she was quite rude passed a remark on called for to one of the other girls. It cost nothing to b please t sorry that's why I didn't tip. Would of give 5 *only for staff.

Me and a group of my friends were at a table tonight (Saturday 18th July) in the smoking area.. we sat for over two hours without our table being cleaned from previous customers and without our order being taking or even being acknowledged by staff.. TERRIBLE!

We have been here a few times over the last few months and the food and service have been excellent however I went with friends on Sunday and was hugely disappointed. Firstly all of our party felt that the place wasn't very warm so that wasn't a good start. Next the food was very average and again not very warm. The presentation and flavours of food were nowhere near what we were previously given. Prawn cocktail was a watery mess and Sunday dinner was swimming in gravy. Perhaps the chef has moved on and they have a new chef????TOTT you had such a good thing going and the best restaurant in Antrim so don't let it slip away.
