Top Notch Cafe in Banbridge

This time as I have in the past I took a dinner take away. I love the whole spuds, which other places fail to do. With a slice of home made mince pie and cabbage it was healthy and wholesome. Three spuds bulked it up and I added butter instead of gravy. Really was so tasty and home cooking taste. Took a cappuccino and a couple of choccy mallows to sit in first. Always recommend this spot.

Delicious menu and meals arrive quick. Would recommend.

After covid I have been here a few times for coffee and this time for a take away dinner. I choose mince pie with whole potatoes and cabbage and carrots. Just plain good home cooking. I took this home but I had a coffee latte and kit kat whilst there. Sitting outside in the fresh air. Very nice and outside is pet friendly. Always enjoy here and a walk around the industrial units for dog thrown in. Give it a try.

Recently I have just popped in fur a coffee and maybe a snack. I got a mars bar pancake which was interesting. Usually I like the plaice here or veg soup. If it is warm enough it is pleasant to sit outside in the covered area,which is good fur your doggies. Well worth a visit.

We just had plaice and whole potatoes with cabbage and butter.Beautiful. And for plaice the price is very reasonable. (I can not agree with the previous rip off comment at all. Perhaps there was a drink and extra fillings.) Anyway I can fully recommend it to you. And it is dog friendly in the outside covered area,which is pleasant in summer.

Paid £7.90 for chicken and cheese wrap with sweet chilli sauce, a few crisps on the side and a bottle of diet coke. Wrap was cold and not very tasty. Menu was priced at £4.50 for a chili chicken wrap and salad so not sure where the price came from. Same was questioned. Will never use again!

I got a cod lunch today and apple tart and custard. Usual good food. That is why I keep reviewing. Home made deserts,pies and scones. Pet friendly covered area.

Plaice with cabbage and whole boiled potatoes. Add butter and ketchup. Fit for a king. Hidden gem of a place.

Nice home cooked whole potato dinner. This time I just took a Spanish omelette and a pear and crumble desert with coffee and off course some chicken for my dog. Sat outside in the sunshine. Always good.

Fancied a snack,so ordered french toast with only 1 bacon(comes with 2 but I only wanted 1). Along with a great coffee and good chat. Best wee cafe and hidden gem around Banbridge. Now pet friendly area outside.

I always pop in. Today Saturday lunch I had fish and chips and beans,as he ran out of potatoes. Very nice batter on fish,home made chips and. Beans. Always sure of a warm welcome here. Try it.

I love to visit for his dinners. Whole spuds,with two veg and choice of mains. Liver and bacon is my favourite. Breakfasts and fries. Coffees and home baked scones and pancakes or breads. Friendly,clean and affordable.

Best cafe around. Just plain tasty wholesome grub. I go for lunch. Love the whole potatoes. Mince pie or liver and bacon or plaice or stuffed sausages or chicken. And what ever on the day. Fries,soup,maybe stew. Prices reasonable. Friendly and clean. A real hidden gem. Love it. Oh and the trifle and deserts great.

I visit weekly usually. Good choice of dinners from stroganoff. Curry. Mince pie.braising steak.plaice etc.etc. I love the waxy potatoes and usually three veg served. A small dinner is as big as usual elsewhere. Salads and club sandwiches large and filling. As are the Ulster fries. Coffee and deserts good also. Try it.

This hidden gem is definitely top notch. I have been here on numerous occasions and have always had great service and lovely food, great place to go on a budget.

Came with a friend. This place is at the rear of a business Park and frequented by local workers and people who have heard by word of mouth. Menu is not massive but big enough. Standard dinners and deserts and salads and some greek food as the chef /owner is a Greek gentleman. My friend had a cod dinner at £5 which was ok for the money thought frozen fish could gave been bigger. Still it was tasty and value. I went for a Greek salad and a milky coffee. The salad was big with feta cheese and olives. Very enjoyable. Coffee hot and large and milky. Salad £4 and coffee £1.60 again good value. Very friendly owner. I will be back. Thanks. Highly recommended.

Great choice of daily specials as well as varied menu. Staff always friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us,each person had a different meal and everyone was pleased and very satisfied. Good food in pleasant surroundings at very reasonable prices!

Great food, with daily specials, great staff, always helpful and obliging, great price, always value for money. Can't be beaten for a lunchtime treat.
