Tony's Tower in Scottish Borders

Was in the town for a few hours & wanted something quick & easy to eat while driving home to Ayrshire, so pleased i went here, food was top quality, best chips I have had in a long time and same with the Haggis, wont hesitate to buy from here again!!

Traveling through not many places to eat in Selkirk but lucked in. Food was great staff were great service was great had fish suppers and gave them a big tip enjoyed every bite. 👍👍👍👍👍

Would like to know what type of potatoes they use for chips because I'd wager they the cheapest of the cheap ! Chips greasy horrible , no crisp whatsoever, they charge top dollar so about time they started serving top dollar food

£4 for a portion of chips which was small and greasy. What an absolute ripoff. Last time I'll be going there.

Had a takeaway delivered to our hotel on an overnight stop. Very quick delivery, food piping hot on arrival Good sized portions, the Lasagne was fantastic! Very courteous driver

Don't bother with a delivery. Keep telling you it's out for delivery, forgetting they told you that half an hour ago. Cold greasy fish, cold greasy pizza. Waste of money 💰. Go spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

Great food, but the portion sizes are a joke. Large chips for £4, the tray is about the size of your hand, and the chips are not piled high at all. Spent £20 for the family, and was still hungry afterwards. Tasted great, but stop skimping on the portions sizes guys!

Freshly prepared fish & chip served by pleasant staff. The short wait was well worth it.

Got a portion of chips yesterday that cost £2.60. Just cooked and a total of 15 decent chips and a few bits. Never be back again. I wish I had got a packet of Crisps they would have had more potato in. More packaging than potato. You learn from your mistakes.

Ordered food from just eat and it was made right in from of me as I was 10 mins early and have a friendly staff

Given that delivery time was one hour. I see no reason at all why the chips and smoked sausage was very under cooked.

Not bad food, but rubbish service. Priority was to deliveries. Had to ask for my order after 20 mins before they decided to get it. And then got it wrong.

Twice recently I've been driving through Selkirk late evening and stopped here for haggis+chips. Very cheerful, friendly staff, quick service, tasted really good. VERY clean & bright inside, nice comfortable temperature. Parking easy enough in streets nearby, simple to find this restaurant right in the old town centre. "I'll be back" !!!

Never again will I ordered delivery from this place..I have used a fee time but this weekend was atrocious..ordered at 6.05pm got it at 8.10pm estimated delivery 7 20pm .. wouldn't want to be hungry..food was warm but not nice at all

Have so far tried the kid's fish and chips and also the steak pie and chips. Both really lovely with big helpings of nice soft chips.

Food was OK but the Hygiene of 3 staff members was abysmal two young girls serving obviously found it very difficult not to tough their masks which spent most of the time under their chins or under their noses!! Then proceeded to touch people s food!! Bad enough during normal times but even worse at a time when covid is on the rise again, the other staff maybe boss used the back of his forefinger to wipe under his nose twice and then proceeds to handle pizza dough and fillings!! Yuk!

Very fresh , cooked on time for collection , couldn't fault it.

Most disappointed with fish suppers last evening. Dry and felt like they had been sitting around for a while.. Not freshly cooked taste at all. We did order but had to join a queue anyway.

Service is excellent, never a problem. I have been there a number of times and since covid had home deliveries. There has never been a problem or a poor meal.

Daughter and I stayed in Selkirk for two nights and wanted a chippy supper. I could t believe there’s only one chip shop there. Ordered online for collection and that was all good. Got back to our hotel and fish was lovely and the batter was amazing! Chips on the other hand were aneamic and pale and undercooked. Hey

Great food and friendly atmosphere

First visit here and the shop is clean and well presented however the food was disappointing. The fish was overcooked and dry and whilst some of the chips were fresh others weren’t. It was a large order and on return we found items we had paid for weren’t there. I probably wouldn’t return based on this experience which is a shame. Staff were pleasant and mannerly.

Amazing, tried Kofte Kebab & Kebab Roll. The price was reasonable. the best flavor, and should say the delivery was perfect too.

My family and I were on a trip. When we were passing Selkirk, we ordered Donner Calzone only £8.50, very delicious and tasty. Also, we ordered Caramel Chew Chew for dessert which had a nice flavor. prices were reasonable too. we really enjoyed. It was a nice memory in Selkirk.

Same price in the chip shop as online no codes to be found on website for this mistery 15% discount - delivery guy demand £3 on the doorstep for delivery charges! Has to hunt about for it what if I never had the change? Even although I payed delivery and for my food already online! Food was OK nothing to shout

Vast menu to suit all tastes at reasonable pricing. Visited here a few times now whilst on holiday over a number of years and the food has never dissapointed.

as i normally avoid takeaways BUT the fish suppers here are fantastic and i like the kebabs as i love the red onions served with it, always lovely and clean and the staff are friendly

Just had our tea from Tonys, just like a previous post handling whatever before picking the fish up! Naaa sorry, very average warmed up food not a good use of £27.... Some give it 5stars why? Then I suppose it is what it is...enuff said. I gave it 2 stars because of the free coke! Tony...or the owner, would you eat all the food you cook up in here?? Bet you wouldn't?

Fabulous staff, made us feel really welcome in their town, fantastic food, so much to choose from, we knew we'd picked the right place as soon as we walked through the door.

Been using Tony's Tower for many, many years. 99% of the time the food is absolutely grand. Simple, well cooked and a pleasure to eat. Very occasionally, things are not as good as they have been but we need to remember that it is almost impossible to sustain the standard Tony's Tower has set itself without a very occasional lapse. Portion sizes are vbery generous and all in all, very good value.Will I cnntinue to visit Tony in his Tower? You bet I will!!!

Opens late but chips are great!

First time in a long time we went to Tony`s Tower and bought a take away Piza !! it was great and we can recommend them for their take away food.

Fancied a chippy so ordered a home delivery the chips were disgusting reheats could not eat them gave them to the birds the pizzas were not any better tiny bit of cheese and you have to hunt for the pepperoni I think the pizza sauce must be on ration very dry me and my mum were regular customers wont be ordering again for £22 I expected mush better

All I can say is it's OK. We've used it a few times as it's our local chippy. The food isn't anything spectacular, although it is on the expensive side for a chip shop. I've had better chips from far cheaper places, but the stuff from Tony's Tower is edible enough and certainly handy for tea when you can't be bothered to cook Must admit I've not been in since its recent makeover.

Went here on the way home from the cinema and stopped in a lay by to eat it out in the wilderness.First time I've been there in a long time and im glad its maintained its high quality. Fish was fresh and the batter was crispey. Really hut the spot!

I have just had a takeaway from here and it’s the worst takeaway I’ve ever had. My pizza was cold and tasteless. The kebab meat didn’t taste like kebab meat. The vegetable pakoras were absolutely AWFUL. My chips were soggy and freezing. It took half an hour over the time they said it would arrive. The woman had a cheek to ask me at the door for an extra 1.50 on top of what I’d already paid for the ‘extra cheese’ I asked for. I didn’t ask for any of this, nor did I receive it. Clearly just trying to get some extra money out of what they can!!!!! I literally paid £15 for a bottle of lilt juice, which is the only thing I enjoyed. This has totally ruined my night and made me feel proper crap aswell. Now starving and settled for some toast. Absolutely shocking service and food and will NEVER be ordering from here again. Save your money folks!!!!!!!!!

Tony's Tower has friendly staff and sell a multitude of different types of food; fish, chips, kebabs, pizza etc etc which is probably why they do non of them well.

Pizza's are very good they're open long hours and the prices are good . The pies and other selection's are Ok but the fish and chips are were very poor last time I visited. They had small grey looking fish that were over cooked and greesey soggy chips.Its not just a one off its been like that for years. It's such a shame as the staff are lovely.

He tenido varios artículos en el menú aquí en el pasado, pero mi favorito es el sur actual de pollo frito. envoltura El pescado y las patatas fritas en sí me pareció muy variable en calidad. En mi opinión, lo mejor es hacer la Torre TONY'S pizzas. Mucho mejor que la de pizzas más caro que he tenido en otro lugar en la frontera. No te molestes con las patatas chaqueta (recalentadas y textura desagradable), el pescado es una lotería (he tenido encantador pero también horrible), aros de cebolla y el sur también excelente pollo frito de lechuga son deliciosos. El sistema de pedidos en línea es fácil y vinculada a paypal, es razonable y entrega rápida, el conductor es precioso.

Después de leer varias críticas malas de este lugar me pareció que debía comentar sobre mi experiencia. Fui a Tony's Tower última noche y pedimos una "cena de pescado". El pescado estaba recién preparado y puedo decir honestamente que no podría haber sido mejor. Pasta de pescado fresco, encantador y agradable sabía muy bien firmes y. Si cualquier crítica se consideran que porción de patatas fritas con la cena era pequeña. ¿Por qué no le dan al lugar un ir y ver por ti mismo.

No podía creer el nivel de Tony's Pizza en la torre. Fue una verdadera alegría ver a un hombre joven con los músculos de la libra de la masa de pizza en un producto hermoso. Me encantó cómo auténticos todos lo eran. A pesar de todo desde Escocia hablaban en italiano. No era la época cuando fui, pero había dos chicos en la sección de pizza a otros. Al ver un gran nivel de trabajo en equipo. Il esperamos volver a la torre. Qué lugar tan encantador.
