Tollemarche Arms in Kettering

Popped over for a mid week meal.Good service and smashing young waitress called Milly. Bang, bang cauliflower was an awesome starter! The food was so tasty! My only complaint was noisy children in a party. I get that children come out with the family but either control them or when the booking is made, then move them to a separate dining room. Rant over!

an amazing place to stumble across the place is full of character the staff most welcoming and the food is extremely good, for me the best part of visiting was the bill came as a shock that the 4 of us who where there had starters mains and dessert with drinks for less than £170. the slow cooked braised lamb was perfect the apple and rhubarb crumble with cream was divine the icing on the cake so to speak was the serving of Earl Grey tea with the after dinner coffee's.

We had lunch today 15th Feb. A bright welcome, we were early, pleased to wait a little while, and drinks were served as soon as possible. The menu was not exciting. We had the prawn and salmon curry, which was very bland, and two of us had the cod, chips and mushy peas. The fish batter was VERY undercooked, and the mushy peas were a "clod" on the plate. We have been here several times before. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are full of welcoming smiles and the prices 'reasonable'. The kitchen needs to up the pace, surely cod and chips should be a signature dish???

Yesterday's lunch at the Tolly can only be described as simply outstanding. we were greeted warmly as always, seated quickly and welcomed by the very cheerful, smiling and positive Amelia. All our food choices were spot on, these included Brixworth pate, salt and pepper squid, buttermilk chicken and beautifully soft burrata. Mains of burgers, bang bang cauliflower and lamb to follow. We managed three puds between the party of four, all delicious. It isn't just about the food when you dine at the Tolly. The whole team have been trained to perfection, all work with keen observance and obvious professionalism. All move at a smart pace, taking and delivering bar and kitchen orders with smooth efficiency. On a Saturday lunchtime, every table was taken and the ambience was lovely. As always, the Tollemache arms demonstrates a clear and shining example of how to run a rural pub and how to train and retain their outstanding team.

Booking after Warner distillery visit ( you must do that!). Very busy and a little tight in the dining space. Menu not huge but varied enough for all tastes. Beef bourguignon pie with tender stem broccoli was lovely. I was told it does not come with anything else so ordered some new potatoes. This portion was enough for three easily. Would be better to just come with 4 or 5 potatoes? Burger lovely. Excellent Caesar salad and delicious curry. Good drinks selection including Warner gins. Some ales. Could promote more local beers? £11 for large glass of Rioja is a tad pricey. Service was very good. Extremely polite and courteous. We were checked on during service. Food arrived very quickly considering how busy it was. Plenty of parking although full when we were there. The views from the carpark are to open countryside. There are a few tables out here. Would be an amazing vista in the summer. Excellent gastro pub that we would happily return to.

The Tollemache Arms is one of our favourite restaurants for family dining. It consistently offers an enjoyable dining experience. As we had a guest from the USA staying with us, we reserved a table for a pre Christmas family lunch. We chose the traditional roasts for our guest to enjoy an English Sunday lunch. As usual the meal was excellent. The servers were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, an all round success. Highly recommended.

Took my Wife & friends here for here birthday treat. Well pleased with the food Cooked perfectly .looked good and tasted perfect. The staff was making the evening that more special looking after us . Really unexpected when the staff brought the desserts out with a candle lit and sang happy birthday. When the evening came to an end my wife had another surprise .A card signed by all the staff. With a surprise inside. thank you all We all had lovely time there and would definitely recommend Tollemache Arms for the food . service and the person touch that we all experienced .looking forward to our next visit there.

What an outstanding place for Sunday lunch! Absolutely brilliant food and wonderful service. Provided you like your beef rare, which I do, simply the best tasting and well presented Sunday lunch I have had.

We had an excellent Sunday Lunch at the Tollemache Arms. The food was delicious and really well priced, the staff were really lovely and attentive, and the building itself is very pretty. One of our group has allergies and the staff and kitchen were really accommodating and helpful which made the whole experience even better. Overall, a wonderful time and we hope to come back again!

Another incredible visit, this time for my birthday! The food was amazing as always, and Flo and the front of house team were so welcoming and kind! A truly special place!

For my Father in law's birthday, he's over 75 , we booked an early evening meal. The staff were brilliant. Accommodating a change to the number of attendees without any issues. Warm and welcoming . Attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb . Nothing was too much trouble. We love going there and will return again soon. Recommend without hesitation

Beautiful pub and restaurant... Great food

We ate at the restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was high quality and beautifully cooked, you can see on the website and also on a board in the dining room where exactly the food you're eating has come from, which is a brilliant touch. The atmosphere was relaxed while also being definitely higher class than your average pub (without the high price tags) very cosy and homely. The service was top notch, everybody we spoke to was polite, helpful and couldn't possibly do more to make you happy to be honest (we aren't picky and didn't request anything, they just go above and beyond as a default). Will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu

We love visiting the Tolly. The pub is beautiful, the food is fantastic and the service is so good. We are always made to feel so welcome with our 2 year old son; Flo and her team are very thoughtful and often use little touches that make our visits feel special. We’d also say that it is probably the best roast we have had!

A friendly pub we go here a lot as most pubs in the area have closed and its reliably good food. Also a beautiful setting especially in the summer. But I have to say the last time we went the food was a bit cheap, I had squid with wasabi (the wasabi where was it) no heat at all and it was awful, greasy, bland over cooked. 6 small breaded squid for £8! What, how, why….. The curry was gelatinous, and the rice was sticky and bland and served with raw pokchoi? It was near £100 for 2 of us with 2 medium wines I thinks this is a bit outrageous tbh. The place is in need of a spruce up and a good clean, the toilets and corridor smelt of pee. You can’t charge that money if you can walk the walk.

Lovely country pub, with friendly staff and decent food, plus beer garden for the summer.

Went this evening for dinner. Very welcoming smiles as we walked in the door. Restaurant very busy. Despite this staff came straight to table to take drinks order and bring menu's. All food was delicious, hot and fresh and we were not kept waiting long....

Delicious food, great friendly service and really good value for the quality of the food, highly recommend the hanger steak. We chose a central location for a pre Christmas lunch, we chose well as we had a lovely meal and drinks at *The Tolly*. Excellent food choice from a varied well priced menu, excellent table service from Lydia in a very warm and welcoming restaurant. We had travelled a long way for the occasion but it was well worth the effort.

Brilliant food and service- what a wonderful treat after attending Gin tasting at Warners Distillery!

Walked in around 3pm in the dead of winter, just as the sun was setting and was greeted by a roaring fire and a collection of lively locals. 5 of us decided on this location for a 60th birthday party and from start to finish the experice was lovely. The atmosphere wa cosy and the food was incredible. I had the salt and pepper sqid to start which was really tasty, although the portion size was a little on the small side, for my main I had steak and by god was it glorious, I zoned out of the conversations and just got lost in how good it was. For desert I had the brownie which was the weakest of all the dishes the potion size was very small and it was served with some other icecream other than vanilla which 9 though was odd and didn't compliment the chocolate taste of the brownie. Overall though I was very impressed with the whole experience as was everyone else in out party. Would recommend to all to pay a visit and taste the incredible food.

A very nice venue and friendly staff, the beef bourguignon pie was served with no pastry or potato we were advised the chef didn't think it necessary so although the meat was excellent it was served with half a carrot and a piece of rather stale under cooked cabbage stork which I feel would have not even made my hens happy.

A truly fabulous time in the quintessentially British Tolly! It had been a few years since we had visited the Tolly, but a rare day off for me and my partner which was also child free got us thinking of going for "A spot of lunch". To the Tolly we headed. We was greeted with a smile and the gentleman got us a table ( we hadn't booked as it was quite spur of the moment) Sarah (IIRC) served us and provided great service, I asked what she would recommend and i just went with the choices. Both me and my partner loved all 3 courses! Its evident care is put into the ingredients here as every part of the meal was beautifully presented and flavours that complimented extremely well. If you've not been before - Go, Do it, Enjoy some quality! If like me you haven't been in a while - Go Back treat the taste buds and such a lovely atmosphere!

Fantastic place to stay friendly and food is gorgeous

Called in for some Christmas cheer with Interior Larders. Completely forgot it was dining in the dark, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming as always. It looked beautiful with the shimmering candles. A set menu but a fabulous choice, the food here is amazing. The price was outstanding value. We sipped our drinks and soaked up the atmosphere, definitely one to try again. Thank you team Tolly the best night in a long time.

This was a lunchtime visit on a road trip to Stafford and we'll worth the stop. The staff were amazingly friendly, the food great and ample portions (we couldn't finish the onion rings that were the best we've ever had). Just lovely.

This pub is a bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort. The food was good and they accommodate some allergies/intolerances, eg GF and my meal was adapted for dairy free. It's reasonably priced and the service was very good. It is disabled friendly but may be worth checking with them, dependent on the disability. We had no problem with a rollator, so I would imagine a wheelchair would be fine. The lavatories are clean and there is a disabled facility. Would definitely recommend a visit, if in the area.

We visited for Sunday lunch. The reviews looked good . Very disappointed with the food. For instance, the smoked salmon starter had very little smoked salmon in it and seemed to be mainly chopped cucumber with a bit of spice, which did not taste nice....
